What does it mean to you to live a life with no regrets? Is that even possible? What if it's less about avoiding regrets entirely and more about being clear on your values, dreams, and desires and combining that with intentional practices to build a life focused on things that matter to you and the world around you?Of course, this takes work because we're constantly pulled in many different directions and responding to many inputs, just trying to keep our heads above water. To lead well, we must get clarity in our values and develop trusting relationships with our inner worlds and physical bodies.Instead of chasing a life with zero regrets, we need to learn to respond well to our regrets in the moment. If we want to look back and feel good about how we responded, we can't numb out or bypass; we must make amends and correct our course.Today's conversation is with a long-time friend and colleague who reminds us that living an aligned life is a meandering path, a life that is always stretched and tested. It's not always easy, but when we stay connected to our values, desires, and integrity, there can be ease and clarity even in the hard times.Molly Mahar is the founder of Stratejoy, a community helping women reclaim intimate, honest, and joyful relationships with themselves for the good of all. She's an entrepreneur, mama, writer, and adventurer obsessed with designing personal experiments that scare you, telling the truth, and her new teardrop trailer. In this episode, Molly shares her journey of living an aligned life, her struggles, and the lessons she learned along the way. Listen to the full episode to hear:How Molly prepared, financially and emotionally, to embark on a year of travel and a major move with her familyHow relocating on their return may have actually made it easier for Molly to integrate her experiencesWhat putting their lives on hold and being together 24/7 revealed about Molly's relationship with her husband, their parenting choices, and how they handle conflictThe support and practices that helped Molly get back in alignment Unpacking her complicated relationship with alcohol and why she knew she needed to get sober for goodThe core questions that Molly used to guide her self-reflection throughout the tripLearn more about Molly Mahar:StratejoyInstagram: @stratejoy, @mollymaharLearn more about Rebecca:rebeccaching.comWork With RebeccaSign up for the weekly Unburdened Leader EmailResources:EP 107: The Seasons of Entrepreneurship: Leading a Deliberate Life with Laura RoederBetween Two Kingdoms: A Memoir of a Life Interrupted, Suleika JaouadBirnam Wood, Eleanor CattonYou, Again, Kate GoldbeckPaper Planes - Radio UpMAGIC! – Good Feeling About YouNyadThe Idea of YouSaved by the Bell

Paije Alexandra West is bringing this forward for us today as an international retreat host, experienced psychedelic facilitator, and trained doula. Laurel talks with Roz about how she went from always being picked last in gym class to building a successful career as both a personal triner and a pole dance instructor, and the often exclusionary industries both pole dancing and strength training occupy. Throughout, Roz shares stories of how she built a successful career (in her words) as a, “dark skin, semi-bald, overweight, outspoken woman running around NYC half naked.” Roz shares her humor and wisdom around what inclusivity actually looks like, as someone who understands firsthand what it feels like to be excluded. Here's more of what Roz and Laurel discussed:The different yet complementary fitness cultures of pole-dancing and strength-trainingThe positive impression it made on Roz when she got to see female athletes that looked like herThe benefits of an artistic focus in a movement practice How pole dancing helped Roz overcome guilt and shame about her body and exercise agency, self-exploration, and self-expressionThe fact that people in bigger bodies have to be stronger to overcome more body weight than slender peopleHow Roz defines the term athlete. Catherine Richards said one way Tesco Bank builds a CX culture is through positive disruption.“And what I mean by that is, as leaders, you need to know when to make a call to positively disrupt how you're working,” said Richards, who is head of design at Tesco Bank. An example was introducing Customer Wednesdays, a day dedicated in the week to spending time with the bank's customers. They started that four years ago, bringing in customers to get feedback early in the design process. That's continued during the pandemic, just that now they get that feedback remotely. “When you tell a story about a customer that you've seen, or you've spent time with, there's just something about that, that people remember. They remember the customer stories,” Richards said.    In her conversation with Janelle Estes, Chief Insights Officer at UserTesting, Richards goes on to discuss:What is the role of leadership in driving customer-centric design and experiencesWhat metrics or KPIs does her team directly or indirectly influenceHow has the financial services/bank customer experience evolved over the course of your career?

This podcast serves to help people, particularly those who may label themselves as "creatives," to seek wholeness and calling so they are ready to embrace the mission God has for them. Consider this podcast a rogue harmony of professional development and self-care, hosted by Chris Skaggs. What’s covered in this episode: This Achievement Guide series suggests a set of practices and ideals meant to shield our hearts and minds from the most common pitfalls we encounter. At its best, it is an expression of community, taken up in the belief that none of get through this world alone. We need help from one another to live the lives God meant for us. It is also embraced in humility, recognizing that we are all prone to specific lures and spiritual threats that require us to take extra care with our practices.Instead of constantly escaping to virtual worlds and communities we recognize that the real world is the first and finest sandbox ever made. Entering, experiencing, and embracing the natural world grounds us, feeds our souls, and reminds us of the manifest wisdom of the creator of creation. We regularly unplug from all electronic devices and seek to soak in the ‘second scripture’ of the glorious planet God called good. This episode covers God’s reality over virtual reality:Real world versus the digital worldThe truth about reality is that God created a certain set of rules that we have no power to changeIn virtual reality, you can make your own rules! And even if you break them, there are usually no real-world consequencesReality = the value of the journey; virtual reality = the value of the destinationMost virtual reality is created by someone else’s perception of their own reality and experiencesWhat motivates you to use virtual reality? Do you use it as an escape from reality or do you enjoy the experience of the non-reality?God made this world for us to experience, what is our willingness to enter into the world that He made?Nature can so instantly create a positive impact on your life, so why are we so easily distracted from it?Resources mentioned:Sign up for the Tempus Divum newsletter Become a PatronEmail us ideas, questions, or suggestions at tempusdivum@somagames.com
