How can you capture and nurture leads consistently if your team resists using a CRM? Many leaders invest heavily in systems like HubSpot or Salesforce expecting consistency, visibility, and growth. But the reality is, not every strong relationship builder on your team wants to use those systems. In this episode, Donna Peterson shares a practical, real-world workflow using ChatGPT to bridge that gap. This is not about replacing your CRM. It's about supporting your team in a way that feels natural to them, while still creating structure, consistency, and follow-through. If you've ever walked away from a great trade show conversation and lost momentum after one email, this episode gives you a clear, repeatable system to fix that. Key Takeaways: CRM resistance is not a discipline issue, it's often a workflow issue Relationship builders need tools that match how they naturally work Speed and personalization matter more than perfect data entry Follow-up consistency is what turns conversations into revenue AI works best when it supports human connection, not replaces it The 6-Step ChatGPT Lead Workflow: Capture the Lead: Take a photo of a business card, directory, or list and upload it into ChatGPT. Capture the Conversation: Use voice notes to record details immediately after the meeting. Include both business needs and personal details to humanize follow-up. Create a Personalized Follow-Up: Ask ChatGPT to draft a grounded, value-driven email focused on helping the recipient—not selling. Build a Follow-Up Plan: This is where most opportunities are lost. Use ChatGPT to map out next touchpoints so relationships don't fade. Keep It Searchable: Store everything in a structured ChatGPT project so you can instantly recall conversations and context. Sync Back to Your CRM: Export structured data (CSV format) and upload into your CRM when needed—without slowing down your workflow. Why This Matters for Leaders: You reduce friction for high-performing team members You improve follow-up speed and quality You maintain relationship ownership while still capturing data You create a system people will actually use This approach respects how people work while still driving accountability and growth. Action You Can Take Today: After your next meeting or event, record a 30-second voice note summarizing the conversation and ask ChatGPT to draft a follow-up email. That one step alone will improve your consistency immediately. *** Reach out to dpeterson@worldinnovators.comif you'd like help building a marketing strategy that builds relationships and/or AI training for individuals or full teams.*** Visit www.worldinnovators.comfor more resources on building stronger marketing and leadership strategies.*** Subscribe to the Grounding AI podcast for weekly insights into marketing, leadership, and the future of AI.
OpenAI Just Built a Free AI Tool for Clinicians. Here Is What It Does and What It Means for Your Practice. OpenAI launched ChatGPT for Clinicians in 2026 and explicitly named psychologists and licensed clinicians as part of the target audience. Before you sign up or dismiss it as irrelevant because it is US-only, there is something specific in this product that every therapist in private practice needs to understand — and it is available to you right now, wherever you are. In this episode I talk about the reusable workflow skills feature inside ChatGPT for Clinicians, what it means for your clinical documentation, and what Australian practitioners genuinely need to know before getting too excited about the HIPAA compliance angle. WHAT WE COVER I start by walking you through exactly what ChatGPT for Clinicians is and who it is built for, because the marketing can be a bit vague on the specifics. I then spend a solid chunk of time on reusable workflow skills — the feature that I think is the most practically useful for solo practice owners — and explain what it looks like to set one up for referral letters, progress notes, or clinical correspondence using your existing ChatGPT plan. We talk about the caution that most coverage of this product is glossing over: HIPAA compliance is a US legal standard, not an Australian one, and I explain what that actually means for your practice and your privacy obligations. I then share what this launch signals about where AI tools for clinicians are heading over the next 12 to 18 months, and close with a concrete first step you can take today. John 20:19-31When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors were locked where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” After he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”But Thomas (who was called the Twin), one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finger in the mark of the nails and my hand in his side, I will not believe.”A week later his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were shut, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it in my side. Do not doubt but believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples that are not written in this book. But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life in his name. Everyone seems to be maxxing something these days. If you've never heard the word, maxxing means aggressively improving, or maximizing, some part of your life. There are all kinds of maxxing trends on social media. For example, young men are spending a lot of time looksmaxxing - obsessively optimizing their appearance. Then there's fibermaxxing, fixating on increasing fiber intake for better health. Or Chinamaxxing, adopting traditional Chinese lifestyle habits again for improved health.None of these sound all that appealing to me—especially the fibermaxxing. But I did read about one maxxing I can get on board with: frictionmaxxing.Frictionmaxxing is about adding small inconveniences back into your life, because living a frictionless life is all too easy. We can, and often do, avoid the little moments of inconvenience in our lives. One article I read recently put it this way: “Tech companies are succeeding in making us think of life itself as inconvenient and something to be continuously escaping from, [putting ourselves into] digital padded rooms of predictive algorithms and single-tap commands: Reading is boring; talking is awkward; moving is tiring; leaving the house is daunting. Thinking is hard. Interacting with strangers is scary. Risking an unexpected reaction from someone isn't worth it. Speaking at all — overrated. These are all frictions that we can now eliminate, easily, and we do.” Once I read this, I saw it everywhere. For instance, have you talked with someone my age or younger on the phone recently? It's like you're asking them to eat arsenic. That's the friction I'm talking about. Why go out to eat and risk running into people you know? You can Uber Eats anything. Don't know how to respond to a text? Use ChatGPT. Why actually shop for anything when you can have it delivered to your doorstep. It is easier than ever before to go home, lock our doors, and block out the world, and all the risk and all the friction that comes with it. But that comes at a cost. We become more fearful of others and what they might do or say. Or worse how they'll think of us. Then, we become more anxious about simple interactions. And eventually we are depressed from all the fear and anxiety. It is a treacherous cycle. The disciples are in the midst of that treacherous cycle on the evening of the first Easter, hiding behind locked doors. We're told the doors are locked because they are afraid… but that doesn't seem like a credible fear, at least not on the surface. There's no evidence anyone was hunting them down. In fact, earlier that day, Mary Magdalene, Peter, and another disciple had already gone to the tomb. If they were going to run into trouble, wouldn't it have been there? So what are they really afraid of? After all, the disciples are Jews… so who is this “they” they're afraid of?What if they're not just locking the world out, but locking themselves in? What if what they fear is the judgment—the looks, the whispers, the quiet scorn from people who know they got it wrong? The ones who heard them say they would never deny Jesus… and then watched them do exactly that. And more than that—what if they're afraid of Jesus himself? What if Mary Magdalene is right? What if he really is alive? And what if he's coming back, not with peace, but to settle the score? I think what the disciples fear most is the judgment they'll face—and the possibility of running into Jesus himself. So they lock themselves in.Can you imagine their shock when Jesus shows up unannounced? Talk about friction. And it's not shame or revenge he's after. By greeting them with peace (twice), by showing his wounds, by giving them his spirit, Jesus is saying in ways more compelling than words, I forgive you. He wants to set them free from the fear and anxiety that held them in that locked room, and send them out into the world, “As the father has sent me, so I send you”, ready to forgive the sins of others. And now what about Thomas in all this?Thomas doesn't mind a little friction. Throughout the gospels, he asks the hard questions. He says what he's thinking. He shows up, even when it's uncomfortable. So maybe he wasn't in that room because he wasn't hiding. Maybe he was out looking for Jesus, unafraid. And when he hears the others, he says, I want what you've experienced. I want to see. I want to touch. He's willing to risk being wrong. Willing to step into the awkwardness. He wants the friction, literally. And Jesus gives him exactly that, an invitation to touch the wounds and believe. In fact, I think what Jesus gives all of us is an invitation to friction. All too often, we live behind locked doors, telling ourselves, like the disciples, that we're blocking the world out, when really we're locking ourselves in, away from people, away from the judgements they might have about what we do, or say, or believe. What we're really doing is locking away our heart, behind the closed doors of screens and apps, shielding it from the pain of relationships and the judgment of others, but also from the connection and love we need, that our neighbors need, that the whole world needs. And when we lock our hearts away like that, they don't become safe. They become hardened—impenetrable even, barely beating at all. The heart of this gospel story is that Jesus finds us in our locked rooms. He speaks a word of peace, setting us free from the anxiety and fear that hide us, and sends us out into the world—into the friction we will face. And that's what forgiveness is for.Jesus knows what's waiting for the disciples out there: people who will judge them, who won't believe them, who will reject them. They'll even turn on each other. So when they leave that room, they will need forgiveness. In fact, a life of friction requires it.That's the life Jesus led—one of friction—and it's the life our faith calls us into as well. Stepping out from behind our locked doors. Forming relationships, interacting with strangers, talking with the people around you, thinking for yourself, caring for another person, serving others who are in need. These may seem like small things—little inconveniences— and they are. But they are essential to the life we know in Jesus Christ, who sends us into the world just as he was sent. Because if we aren't willing to face the small frictions—the awkwardness, the inconvenience, the risk—we'll never be ready for the greater call: to love, to accompany, to show mercy, to act justly, to bear one another's burdens. Is this risky? A little. We risk being uncomfortable, awkward, even falling behind on our favorite shows. And if we really do it right, the risks are much greater—just look at Jesus. His wounds came from the greatest source of friction, the greatest inconvenience of all: love. A love so great, he died and rose again, so that we don't have to live our lives locked away in fear and anxiety. This week—and throughout this Easter season—let's frictionmaxx. Stop relying on AI and ChatGPT for all your correspondence. Have a screen-free night in your home. Invite someone new over for dinner. Have friends over when your house isn't spotless. Say yes to serving in a new way.Or, if you really want to push it, bake something and show up unannounced at someone's home—Jesus did.And when it's too much—when it's awkward, or not returned, or just doesn't go as planned—that's where grace meets us. We give and receive forgiveness, and we try again. All of this may sound insignificant. You might be wondering, is this really what Christianity is about—intentionally facing little inconveniences? No.But learning to face that friction is one way we resist the lie of a frictionless, heart-hardening life—and take a step toward the full, abundant life Jesus empowers us to live, here and now.Amen.

These days people are using AI chatbots for everything. These chatbots have a wealth of information at their metaphorical fingertips. But the accuracy of the information that they offer us is, well, questionable. But it makes sense why some people turn to AI for medical advice. They’re usually free, which gives them an upper hand when healthcare in the United States is so expensive. They’re also easy to access, so people can get their questions answered immediately, instead of waiting for an opening at their doctor’s office. And they’re trained to be empathic, which is especially appealing to patients who don’t feel valued in medical settings. In this "Ask a Doctor" segment, we explore the world of health advice and chatbots with two medical professionals. Guests: Angad Singh is a family medicine physician. He's also an Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer and Clinical Associate Professor at UW Medicine. How much business are you leaving on the table by not following up consistently? It's a question that comes up in nearly every sales conversation I have. The secret sauce to growing your business is productivity. The more productive you are, the more consistent your follow-up, and the faster your pipeline grows. That's where AI — especially ChatGPT — can help. ✅ 1. Ask it to write a 3-email follow-up sequence for your leads. ✅ 2. After every call, have it summarize your notes and action items with deadlines. ✅ 3. When following up with value, have it summarize an article into 2–3 insights your client would find useful. AI won't replace your authenticity — it amplifies it.

The Chat GPT Experiment - Simplifying ChatGPT For Curious Beginners
Episode Summary In this solo episode of The ChatGPT Experiment, host Cary Weston breaks walks through a real-world example where he helped a trade advocacy group automate and streamline their time-consuming research process using ChatGPT's Projects feature. Cary shares his 4-part framework for setting up successful prompts and emphasizes the importance of engaging ChatGPT in dialogue, not just handing it a task and hoping for the best. 3 Key Takeaways Use Cary's 4-Part Framework: When talking to ChatGPT, always explain: 1) What are we doing? 2) Why are we doing it? 3) What does success look like? 4) Do you have questions to help you do your best work? Don't Rush the Task: Jumping too quickly into asking ChatGPT to "do something" often leads to poor results. Instead, let it help you plan, think, and collaborate. Structure for Flexibility: When building Projects, keep the instructions (the "brain") stable, but make supporting documents modular—this makes updates and improvements much easier over time. The Chat GPT Experiment - Simplifying ChatGPT For Curious Beginners
Episode Summary In this "from the vault" episode originally released in March 2024, Cary dives into how to use ChatGPT for document creation, editing, and analysis. This is one of the most frequently asked topics he encounters, and even with new platform updates, the core principles remain solid and useful. Cary walks through real-world use cases—like responding to RFPs, summarizing long research documents, training employees, and using documents as templates for repeatable processes. He also shares how you can give ChatGPT context and goals to get better results, and how you can even turn ChatGPT's output into downloadable documents for teaching or sharing with your team. 3 Key Takeaways Documents can now come from Google Drive or OneDrive: You're no longer limited to uploading files from your desktop—linking your drives opens up powerful access to your personal document library. Analysis is often more powerful than creation: Use ChatGPT to compare documents, extract priorities, spot patterns, summarize insights, or even help with training docs based on your own past work. You can teach ChatGPT to teach others: Cary shows how to feed sample documents into ChatGPT and ask it to generate training guides, complete with context, goals, and instructions—essentially helping you scale your knowledge. Cary offers customized one-on-one ChatGPT training in 60 minute sessions. In this episode of the SaaS Sessions podcast, Sunil Neurgaonkar sits down with Jigar Dafda, Chief Technology & Product Officer at Fynd, to unpack how AI is fundamentally reshaping e-commerce in India. From conversational commerce and hyper-personalization to autonomous back offices and AI-driven customer support, this conversation cuts through the hype to explain what's actually changing, what's overblown, and what founders must build for if they want to survive the next decade of commerce.Key Takeaways -1. Commerce Is Shifting From Interfaces to Conversations-Traditional storefronts and search-driven UX are being replaced by conversational buying surfaces.- SEO is giving way to GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) as ChatGPT-like interfaces become the new entry point.- Merchants will still own fulfillment and data—but discovery will increasingly happen outside their websites.2. Hyper-Personalization Is No Longer Optional—It's Infrastructure- Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) are the backbone for AI-driven personalization across online and offline channels.- AI enables real-time personalization without armies of data scientists or analysts.- The real win isn't better targeting—it's higher conversion with less customer effort.3. Dynamic Pricing and Forecasting Are Moving Into the Back Office- Pricing, inventory planning, and demand forecasting are becoming autonomous systems.- Decisions that once took days (via SQL and dashboards) now happen in real time.- AI shifts teams from “executors” to “validators” of system-generated decisions.4. Customer Support Is the Lowest-Hanging AI Opportunity- 60–80% of customer queries are repetitive and easily automated.- AI agents now deliver 24/7, multilingual, context-aware support at scale.- The real challenge is no longer conversation—it's clean integration across OMS, WMS, and logistics systems.Lightning Round Insights:- Fastest way to learn today: Use ChatGPT as a personalized tutor—summarize, question, and iterate.- Hardest leadership lesson: Systems are easy. People are not.- Founder advice: Build for where the market is going, not where it is today—today's solution will expire faster than you expect.About Fynd:Fynd is one of India's leading unified commerce platforms, powering brands across online, offline, marketplaces, and quick commerce. From storefronts and PIM to OMS, WMS, and omnichannel integrations, Fynd enables end-to-end retail operations on a single stack.Chapters:00:10 – Introduction00:50 – Jigar's decade-long journey at Fynd05:20 – AI before vs after ChatGPT08:10 – Conversational commerce & GEO13:40 – Hyper-personalization and CDPs19:40 – Dynamic pricing and demand forecasting30:30 – AI in customer support37:20 – Predictions for the future of e-commerce39:40 – Lightning roundVisit our website - https://saassessions.com/Connect with me on LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/sunilneurgaonkar/

As humans, we don't connect over the specific details of a story. We connect over the feelings behind them. That includes disappointment, joy, struggle, or success. That is why sharing your experiences makes people feel seen and heard. In your content, when you share, "I have the same worries. I feel this too." That allows you to engage more. That vulnerability gains their trust and shows that you have a solution to their pain points. In this Diamond Life Mentor Uncut episode, Balazs W Kardos is back with another Accelerator call to share why your life makes the best content to relate to your audience. You will hear powerful insights and motivation around:Embracing emotionsLeading through challenges in network marketingRepurposing content when creating digital assetsEngaging with any demographicBuilding relationships through contentFacing rejections in content creationBalazs' strategy is to show up, not overthink, and make content happen. Chad Prezlomski reveals how elite sellers separate themselves from the pack by delivering a world-class buyer experience.
AI in sales isn't coming soon. It's already here, and it's quietly separating the salespeople who will thrive from those who won't. On the Sales Gravy Podcast, sales expert and author Victor Antonio shares this quote: "You won't lose your job to AI. You'll lose your job to people who are using AI." While everyone debates whether artificial intelligence will replace salespeople, the real shift is already happening. What you need to know is which parts of your job will still matter when a machine can do everything else. The Trust Formula Still Requires Humans Most people think AI in sales is about automation. It's not. It's about augmentation. Yes, AI can write your emails. It can analyze your pipeline. It can schedule your meetings and generate your proposals. But it can't build trust with a buyer who's about to make a six-figure decision they're terrified of getting wrong. Trust in selling comes down to three things: Understanding the buyer's point of view Demonstrating real expertise Keeping the buyer's best interest front and center When a buyer is staring at a purchase order that could make or break their business, they don't want a chatbot. They want a human being who says, "I've got you. This is the right move." Simple Sales No Longer Require a Sales Rep Transactional jobs are disappearing. AI sales agents can already handle simple sales from start to finish. A customer calls about a broken window seal. The AI analyzes the image, checks inventory, schedules a technician, verifies the warranty, and puts the appointment on the calendar. No human required. This isn't science fiction. These systems exist today. AI handles simple tasks easily, but complex sales still require humans. Everything on the straightforward end—cold outreach, basic prospecting, routine follow-ups—is getting automated fast. But complex B2B sales are different. When deals involve multiple stakeholders, custom solutions, and high-stakes decisions, buyers still need salespeople. Humans don't trust machines with decisions that keep them up at night. Your job security lives in complexity. If you're selling simple products with simple processes, you need to start adding value now. What You Should Be Doing Right Now Most salespeople are waiting while AI transforms the industry. Don't make that mistake. Here's how to start experimenting with AI today: Use ChatGPT, Google's Notebook LM, or your AI of choice to digest long articles and research reports in minutes instead of hours. Feed it information about your products and competitors to create your own custom knowledge base. Role-play objection handling by assigning it different buyer personas and practicing your responses. Ask it to critique your proposals before you send them to catch weak points you might miss. These tools aren't perfect. They'll feel clunky at first. But you're not trying to master AI today. You're building comfort with technology that will be 100 times more powerful in just a few years. The salespeople who are experimenting now will be the ones who know how to use AI when it really matters. The ones waiting for their leaders to force them to adopt AI will scramble to catch up. The Skills That Survive AI So what actually matters when AI handles the busywork? The biggest obstacle in complex sales isn't convincing buyers that your solution works. It's helping them trust their own judgment enough to decide. Buyers freeze not because of your pitch, but because of fear: What if I'm wrong? AI can show data, ROI models, and comparison charts—but building buyer confidence still requires human judgment. That's the skill that matters: Building buyer confidence. You need to get exceptional at reading hesitation—when a buyer goes quiet or starts asking the same questions in different ways. They're not confused about your product. They're uncertain about themselves. Your job is to help them trust their judgment. That means understanding internal politics, knowing who has veto power, and recognizing when more information helps, or when it just creates more doubt. The other critical skill? Using AI tools effectively. Knowing what AI can handle lets you offload routine work and focus on moments that require your human judgment. The salespeople who win will be the ones who master both. Human skills for the moments that matter. AI skills for everything else. The Bottom Line AI isn't your replacement. It's your upgrade. The sales skills you need most are the ones that have always mattered: understanding people, building trust, solving complex problems, and giving buyers confidence in risky decisions. What's changing is everything else. The admin work, research, and proposals are getting automated whether you like it or not. Irreplaceable reps are the ones who use AI to eliminate grunt work so they can spend more time doing what only humans can do. The ones who lose are the ones still doing everything manually while insisting they don't need help from a machine. Pick one AI tool this week and start using it. Get uncomfortable. Make mistakes. Learn. The future of sales is happening right now. And the only question that matters is whether you are ready. Want to master AI in sales? Get The AI Edge for the complete blueprint on leveraging artificial intelligence to dominate your competition and accelerate your sales results.

AI Assisted Coding: From Deterministic to AI-Driven—The New Paradigm of Software Development, With Markus Hjort In this BONUS episode, we dive deep into the emerging world of AI-assisted coding with Markus Hjort, CTO of Bitmagic. Markus shares his hands-on experience with what's being called "vibe coding" - a paradigm shift where developers work more like technical product owners, guiding AI agents to produce code while focusing on architecture, design patterns, and overall system quality. This conversation explores not just the tools, but the fundamental changes in how we approach software engineering as a team sport. Defining Vibecoding: More Than Just Autocomplete "I'm specifying the features by prompting, using different kinds of agentic tools. And the agent is producing the code. I will check how it works and glance at the code, but I'm a really technical product owner." Vibecoding represents a spectrum of AI-assisted development approaches. Markus positions himself between pure "vibecoding" (where developers don't look at code at all) and traditional coding. He produces about 90% of his code using AI tools, but maintains technical oversight by reviewing architectural patterns and design decisions. The key difference from traditional autocomplete tools is the shift from deterministic programming languages to non-deterministic natural language prompting, which requires an entirely different way of thinking about software development. The Paradigm Shift: When AI Changed Everything "It's a different paradigm! Looking back, it started with autocomplete where Copilot could implement simple functions. But the real change came with agentic coding tools like Cursor and Claude Code." Markus traces his journey through three distinct phases. First came GitHub Copilot's autocomplete features for simple functions - helpful but limited. Next, ChatGPT enabled discussing architectural problems and getting code suggestions for unfamiliar technologies. The breakthrough arrived with agentic tools like Cursor and Claude Code that can autonomously implement entire features. This progression mirrors the historical shift from assembly to high-level languages, but with a crucial difference: the move from deterministic to non-deterministic communication with machines. Where Vibecoding Works Best: Knowing Your Risks "I move between different levels as I go through different tasks. In areas like CSS styling where I'm not very professional, I trust the AI more. But in core architecture where quality matters most, I look more thoroughly." Vibecoding effectiveness varies dramatically by context. Markus applies different levels of scrutiny based on his expertise and the criticality of the code. For frontend work and styling where he has less expertise, he relies more heavily on AI output and visual verification. For backend architecture and core system components, he maintains closer oversight. This risk-aware approach is essential for startup environments where developers must wear multiple hats. The beauty of this flexibility is that AI enables developers to contribute meaningfully across domains while maintaining appropriate caution in critical areas. Teaching Your Tools: Making AI-Assisted Coding Work "You first teach your tool to do the things you value. Setting system prompts with information about patterns you want, testing approaches you prefer, and integration methods you use." Success with AI-assisted coding requires intentional configuration and practice. Key strategies include: System prompts: Configure tools with your preferred patterns, testing approaches, and architectural decisions Context management: Watch context length carefully; when the AI starts making mistakes, reset the conversation Checkpoint discipline: Commit working code frequently to Git - at least every 30 minutes, ideally after every small working feature Dual AI strategy: Use ChatGPT or Claude for architectural discussions, then bring those ideas to coding tools for implementation Iteration limits: Stop and reassess after roughly 5 failed iterations rather than letting AI continue indefinitely Small steps: Split features into minimal increments and commit each piece separately In this segment we refer to the episode with Alan Cyment on AI Assisted Coding, and the Pachinko coding anti-pattern. Team Dynamics: Bigger Chunks and Faster Coordination "The speed changes a lot of things. If everything goes well, you can produce so much more stuff. So you have to have bigger tasks. Coordination changes - we need bigger chunks because of how much faster coding is." AI-assisted coding fundamentally reshapes team workflows. The dramatic increase in coding speed means developers need larger, more substantial tasks to maintain flow and maximize productivity. Traditional approaches of splitting stories into tiny tasks become counterproductive when implementation speed increases 5-10x. This shift impacts planning, requiring teams to think in terms of complete features rather than granular technical tasks. The coordination challenge becomes managing handoffs and integration points when individuals can ship significant functionality in hours rather than days. The Non-Deterministic Challenge: A New Grammar "When you're moving from low-level language to higher-level language, they are still deterministic. But now with LLMs, it's not deterministic. This changes how we have to think about coding completely." The shift to natural language prompting introduces fundamental uncertainty absent from traditional programming. Unlike the progression from assembly to C to Python - all deterministic - working with LLMs means accepting probabilistic outputs. This requires developers to adopt new mental models: thinking in terms of guidance rather than precise instructions, maintaining checkpoints for rollback, and developing intuition for when AI is "hallucinating" versus producing valid solutions. Some developers struggle with this loss of control, while others find liberation in focusing on what to build rather than how to build it. Code Reviews and Testing: What Changes? "With AI, I spend more time on the actual product doing exploratory testing. The AI is doing the coding, so I can focus on whether it works as intended rather than syntax and patterns." Traditional code review loses relevance when AI generates syntactically correct, pattern-compliant code. The focus shifts to testing actual functionality and user experience. Markus emphasizes: Manual exploratory testing becomes more important as developers can't rely on having written and understood every line Test discipline is critical - AI can write tests that always pass (assert true), so verification is essential Test-first approach helps ensure tests actually verify behavior rather than just existing Periodic test validation: Randomly modify test outputs to verify they fail when they should Loosening review processes to avoid bottlenecks when code generation accelerates dramatically Anti-Patterns and Pitfalls to Avoid Several common mistakes emerge when developers start with AI-assisted coding: Continuing too long: When AI makes 5+ iterations without progress, stop and reset rather than letting it spiral Skipping commits: Without frequent Git checkpoints, recovery from AI mistakes becomes extremely difficult Over-reliance without verification: Trusting AI-generated tests without confirming they actually test something meaningful Ignoring context limits: Continuing to add context until the AI becomes confused and produces poor results Maintaining traditional task sizes: Splitting work too granularly when AI enables completing larger chunks Forgetting exploration: Reading about tools rather than experimenting hands-on with your own projects The Future: Autonomous Agents and Automatic Testing "I hope that these LLMs will become larger context windows and smarter. Tools like Replit are pushing boundaries - they can potentially do automatic testing and verification for you." Markus sees rapid evolution toward more autonomous development agents. Current trends include: Expanded context windows enabling AI to understand entire codebases without manual context curation Automatic testing generation where AI not only writes code but also creates and runs comprehensive test suites Self-verification loops where agents test their own work and iterate without human intervention Design-to-implementation pipelines where UI mockups directly generate working code Agentic tools that can break down complex features autonomously and implement them incrementally The key insight: we're moving from "AI helps me code" to "AI codes while I guide and verify" - a fundamental shift in the developer's role from implementer to architect and quality assurance. Getting Started: Experiment and Learn by Doing "I haven't found a single resource that covers everything. My recommendation is to try Claude Code or Cursor yourself with your own small projects. You don't know the experience until you try it." Rather than pointing to comprehensive guides (which don't yet exist for this rapidly evolving field), Markus advocates hands-on experimentation. Start with personal projects where stakes are low. Try multiple tools to understand their strengths. Build intuition through practice rather than theory. The field changes so rapidly that reading about tools quickly becomes outdated - but developing the mindset and practices for working with AI assistance provides durable value regardless of which specific tools dominate in the future. In this episode, Giana and Bradshaw delve into the growing trend of yoga teachers using ChatGPT to create their class sequences, scripts, and themes. They unpack the difference between using AI as a supportive tool versus outsourcing your own creativity and intuition. Giana talks about developing trust in your own voice, instincts, and body wisdom, saying, “ChatGPT doesn't have a body. So why are we asking it to tell us how to move ours?”They explore the importance of building confidence as a new teacher and understanding how to do this. They urge listeners to use AI thoughtfully and know how to edit or when to rely on it. Without editing, critical thinking, and embodied experience is thrown out the window, and it actually stunts your growth as a teacher. To put it to the test, they ask ChatGPT to create a 60-minute full-body yoga class and go through the sequence section by section to explain exactly why you can't outsource AI for this- especially if you want to be a good teacher! It's not all negative, though; they also highlight the many ways AI can support your teaching career, from simplifying admin tasks and refining marketing copy to sparking ideas for themes, workshops, and other offerings.Expect honest conversation, a few laughs, and a reminder that your real power as a yoga teacher doesn't come from a perfect script, it comes from your embodiment, your lived experience, and your ability to connect!Support our podcast?
