Soco Hernández-Serrano is currently the Program Coordinator at Qualitas of Life Foundation. She is an alumnus of the Immigrant Civic Leadership Program of New York Coro Leadership Center. She holds a Data Analytics and Visualization Certificate from Columbia University; a Financial Counselor Training Certificate from the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection; an advanced certificate in Migration and Governance from the Center for Research and Teachings in Economics (CIDE), and a bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC). Carla Villacis is a Research Project Coordinator at the Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs at Rutgers Camden. Ms. Villacis manages the program evaluation for the Pascale Sykes' Strengthening Families Initiative. She was also the Principal Investigator for the Whole Family Culturally Responsive Approach, a study examining the barriers, challenges, supports, and needs of Hispanic, immigrant families. Carla received her BA in Romance Languages from Bowdoin College. She worked as an English instructor abroad before pursuing an MA in Psychology from Rutgers University-Camden. Debbie Panek is the Director of Family and Youth Programs at Mercy Center, Bronx, NY. Ms. Panek oversees services that include the Familia Adelante/Family Forward collaborative project, which supports immigrant families pursuing short and long-term family goals. Sobre el relevo del ministro de Universidades, Begoña Villacís, vicealcaldesa de Madrid ha dicho esta mañana en Onda Madrid que “si se caracteriza por algo este gobierno es por la inestabilidad política”, y ha añadido que “ es un gobierno de coalición que si pasa el día aireando los trapos sucios unos contra otros” En relación con la negociación de los presupuestos del Ayuntamiento de Madrid y la postura de Vox al respecto ha dicho Villacis que duda que este partido quisiera llegar a un acuerdo: “uno tiene que ser muy realista, nosotros llevamos mucho tiempo viendo la realidad de la postura de Vox, que no se ha presentado ni siquiera a muchas de las reuniones de la Comisión de Presupuesto”,“sabemos cómo se negocian las cosas cuando se quieren negociar de forma seria”, ha añadido. Vox dice 'no' a los presupuestos de Almeida, que ya mira a Recupera Madrid ”Javier Ortega Smith ha pasado los últimos meses insultando directamente al alcalde, yo no he escuchado al alcalde insultar a Ortega Smith”, le ha dicho la vicealcaldesa a Juan Pablo Colmenarejo en ‘Buenos Días, Madrid' y ha añadido que “se ha inventado todo tipo de motores y así no se hace política. Villacís considera que Ortega Smith “es alguien que directamente viene a boicotear los presupuestos” Sobre la condición de Vox de derogar Madrid Distrito Centro para aprobar los presupuestos, la vicealcaldesa ha dicho que “el año pasado ya se había aprobado la estrategia de Madrid 360 que ya incorporaba Madrid Central y aún así nos aprobaron los presupuestos”. “En el pacto entre PP y Vox no se contemplaba la reversión de Madrid 360” ha dicho Villacís. En relación con la reunión que mantuvieron este jueves Ortega Smith y el alcalde, Villacís opina que el encuentro entre ambos no sirvió para nada porque Vox “el tipo de políticas que han elegido hacer, es una política de gestos, pero luego no hacen nada”, afirma la vicealcaldesa “ni siquiera han presentado enmiendas al presupuesto”. Almeida pide a Ortega Smith que "deje de hacer la cobra" a los madrileños La vicealcaldesa ha dicho que Vox sabe perfectamente que no es posible eliminar Madrid Central, “hay una ley que nos obliga a hacerlo, saben perfectamente que eso no es posible, no se puede hacer”. Begoña Villacis ha hablado con Colmenarejo sobre la necesidad de aprobar los presupuestos: “Yo, por encima de todo necesito aprobar los presupuestos del Ayuntamiento de Madrid, tener que acudir a una prórroga es dramático”, por eso, cuenta, ya se ha reunido con los concejales de Recupera Madrid y ha explicado que si se prorrogan los presupuestos se van a quedan pendientes muchas ayudas sociales como los de los comedores, “El PSOE también va a estar en esa lista, vamos a negociar con todos los grupos políticos” José Manuel Calvo: “Estamos dispuestos a sentarnos y hablar de presupuestos" Ha reconocido la disponibilidad de los concejales de Recupera Madrid: “lo que allana el camino es la disponibilidad, nos hemos reunido ayer por la tarde con ellos”, ha dicho “pertenezco a un partido que se ha sentado con partidos muy distintos para negociar presupuestos y en unas situaciones excepcionales” Ha dicho también Villacis que cree que Vox apoya a Ayuso en la Comunidad de Madrid porque “creen que Ayuso cae muy bien entre los suyos”. “Los partidos tienen que ser útiles es muy cómoda la oposición cuando uno no está dispuesto a llegar a un acuerdo” Villacis ha insistido en que la intención de Vox en los presupuestos es el boicot: ”no tienes que estar ahí para reventar gobiernos sino para dar estabilidad”. Ha insistido en la necesidad de que sean aprobados los presupuestos en un momento en que los precios y el coste de la vida ha subido para los madrileños: “estamos hablando de presupuestos de verdad, de bajar los impuestos a los madrileños” Almeida amplía el plazo para "agotar todas las posibilidades" de aprobar su presupuesto “Tenemos una sola línea roja que es la bajada de los impuestos”, afirma Villacís. Sobre la posibilidad de bajar el IBI en función del valor de la vivienda, ha dicho que “la ley de Agendas Locales acota mucho loque puedes hacer con el IBI, el IBI por su propia naturaleza no es un impuesto regresivo, lo que sí podemos hacer es plantear bonificaciones, por ejemplo para instalar placas solares” Sobre la nueva ordenanza de terrazas y su aprobación antes del 31 de diciembre Villacís ha dicho que “hasta que no vea las cosas cerradas prefiero no decir nada pero va por buen camino”.

La vicealcaldesa de Madrid, Begoña Villacis se ha referido en una entrevista en Onda Madrid a la nueva ordenanza sobre terrazas que prepara el Ayuntamiento. “Tenemos que buscar el equilibrio, pero en las zonas tensionadas deben establecerse restricciones para que se pueda respetar el descanso de los vecinos”. Villacís ha insistido en que “va a ser una ordenanza muy equilibrada, que va a durar mucho tiempo para que se puede disfrutar del ocio de una forma saludable para todos”. Desde este lunes, espectáculos sin restricción de aforo y terrazas covid hasta la 1 de la madrugada En este sentido ha querido distinguir la situación de zonas como Ponzano, Retiro o Salamanca donde la proliferación de terrazas ha ocasionado protestas de los vecinos de otras zonas de la ciudad “no residenciales donde las terrazas no molestan”. “Creo que en zonas como Ponzano no se pueden ampliar las terrazas hasta la 1 de la madrugada. La portavoz del PSOE en el Ayuntamiento de Madrid, Mar Espinar, repasa en Com.Permiso la actualidad de la capital, empezando por el asunto más candente de los últimos meses, los botellones. “Hay toda una generación que ha salido de la pandemia de una manera explosiva. Tenemos que hacer una reflexión política profunda y mucha pedagogía”, asegura Espinar. “Tenemos que pensar si no estamos fracasando cuando lanzamos el mensaje a los jóvenes de que en la vida no hay que hacer lo que se debe, sino lo que se quiere en cada momento”, continúa diciendo, “pero para eso se requiere altura de miras y una derecha muchos más sosegada, algo que estamos muy lejos de conseguir”. Descentralización Otro de los asuntos polémicos que afectan a la política local de la región es el enfrentamiento entre la presidenta de la Comunidad, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, con el Ejecutivo de Sánchez a costa de la descentralización. Ayuso advierte a Sánchez que cada "ataque" a Madrid desde el Gobierno "será contestado" Para la portavoz socialista, el PP pretende enfrentar a los madrileños con el Gobierno y utiliza el “no sistemático”, con la propuestas del Gobierno central: “Es todo no, pero sin plantear alternativas”, dice Espinar. Según la portavoz, el Gobierno habla de llevar algunos organismos oficiales a otras regiones, "siempre desde el consenso con los trabajadores, y para dar visibilidad a otras zonas de España”. “Almeida está más preocupado por ser el mayordomo de Casado que por los problemas de Madrid" Madrid ciudad: "No tenemos a nadie al mando" La situación en la ciudad de Madrid, a juicio de Espinar, dista mucho de ser positiva: “Madrid tiene atascos, está más sucia que nunca y ya veremos cómo sale el plan de Madrid 360”. “No tenemos a nadie al mando porque el alcalde está más preocupado por ser el mayordomo de casado”, afirma Espinar. Si le preguntan por las terrazas covid, la portavoz socialista lo tiene claro: Quitarlas el 31 de diciembre. “Llevo tiempo pidiendo que Almeida se reúna con los vecinos para darles una respuesta”, asegura. “Las terrazas covid están tensionando la convivencia en la ciudad de una manera intolerable y como ayuntamiento no podemos permitir lo que le están sufriendo estos vecinos”, dice Espinar. “Cuando Villacís habla de prorrogarlas tres años, en mi opinión está incapacitada para afrontar este problema”. Madrid nuevo sur Otro de los proyectos estrella del ayuntamiento, anunciado recientemente por la vicealcaldesa, Begoña Villacis, es Madrid Nuevo Sur. Un plan del que la portavoz socialista dice que “no sabemos nada, aparte de que Villacís necesitaba un titular para hacer un poco de sombre a Almeida”. Para Espinar, Madrid tiene que apostar por el sur, “es de justicia”, y reivindica el proyecto de dinamización del sur presentado por su partido en las última elecciones: “Le invito a Villacís a que se lea nuestro programa electoral”. Ayala y Lobato, enfilan la recta final de las primarias del PSOE en Madrid El futuro del PSOE y del PSOE-M Espinar ha ejercido de delegada en el reciente congreso federal del PSOE, donde el partido ha escenificando la unidad en torno a Pedro Sánchez de una forma “contundente”, según la portavoz en el ayuntamiento. Para Espinar ha sido “un ejemplo de cómo quiere el partido Pedro Sánchez” y así “será muy difícil vencerlo”. A escala local, Espinar ve al PSOE de Madrid con “mucho futuro”, apostando por su proyecto de socialdemocracia. La portavoz se ve como candidata del partido en las elecciones de 2023, pero “como soy muy del Aleti, voy partido a partido”, asegura, “volviendo al a calle, recuperando la confianza de los ciudadanos, aportando soluciones…” Espinar apoya además la candidatura de Juan Lobato como secretario general de los socialistas madrileños porque “es el proyecto más potente y me ofrece más garantías”, asegura. Para la portavoz socialista, “se ha entendido que hace tiempo que el PSOE-M dejó de hablar de lo problemas que le importan a la mayoría y además, de hablar en un lenguaje que nos puedan entender todos. “Quizá no teníamos claro el mensaje que queríamos transmitir, pero ahora vamos a conseguir esa apertura del partido hacia la sociedad”, dice Espinar.
