From tax avoidance to strategic relationships, these secrets expose the truth about how wealth is really built and protected. KEY TAKEAWAYS Curiosity: Billionaires remain curious, knowing they can learn from anyone. They demonstrate humility through their willingness to ask questions and learn from everyone around them. Full Responsibility: Successful people take complete ownership of everything in their life, even when it's not technically their fault. Rather than blaming external factors like lockdowns or recessions, they assume responsibility for adapting and thriving regardless of circumstances. Trends and Early Market Movements: Billionaires either identify upward-trending markets at the perfect inflection point or possess the unique ability to create trends themselves. They're rarely first (too early) but position themselves strategically for growth. Energy: Consistent energy is crucial, billionaires maintain good energy levels daily, understanding that everything from sales to leadership requires energetic investment. Education and Continual Improvement: Wealthy people never stop learning. They view life as a library or playground, constantly seeking knowledge through reading, mentorship, and new experiences. Consistency and Persistence: Consistency means continuing when things get boring; persistence means pushing through when things get difficult. Most billionaires have done similar work for decades, refusing to quit. Continual Solution to Problems: Billionaires understand that nothing stays fixed forever. They embrace increasingly larger problems, knowing bigger challenges offer greater rewards, while average people avoid problems altogether. Goals, Fantasy and Struggle Reality: While setting ambitious goals is important, billionaires recognise goals are just checkpoints. They focus more on the daily struggle and grind required to reach those milestones, understanding each achievement leads to new challenges. Partnerships and Relationships: No one becomes a billionaire alone. Success requires strategic partnerships, collaborations, and relationships. The concept of being "self-made" is a myth. Sales and Marketing: Billionaires prioritise activities that directly generate revenue. While long-term brand building matters, immediate monetisation comes through sales and marketing, not perfecting logos or business cards. Manage Emotions: Successful people experience all human emotions but maintain control over their reactions. They develop stoicism in high pressure situations, making rational decisions rather than emotional ones. Sell for 10, Make 2: Maintaining healthy profit margins is essential. Track financial metrics obsessively, understanding that selling more with inadequate margins only accelerates losses. Accept Criticism: Billionaires develop thick skin, understanding criticism comes with visibility. They extract valuable feedback while dismissing irrelevant noise, recognising that avoiding all criticism would require doing nothing significant. Multiple Streams of Income: Billionaires diversify their income sources. They start with specialisation but expand strategically, creating multiple revenue channels that build their wealth. Avoid Taxation: The wealthy minimise tax obligations, they understand that tax is their biggest expense. They leverage legal methods to reduce tax burden, understanding that compounding wealth becomes impossible when surrendering 50-70% to tax. Avoid Time Drains with Ruthless Time Management: Billionaires protect their time fiercely, eliminating distractions and focusing intensely on high-value activities. Leverage: Wealthy people utilise other people's money, time, and resources to accomplish more with less. They think "who can do this?" rather than "how can I do this?.” Learn, Break, Then Make the Rules: The wealth hierarchy begins with learning established rules, progresses to breaking conventional approaches, and culminates in creating entirely new rules. Billionaires literally make the rules. Creation vs Consumption: Wealthy people create more than they consume. While the masses consume entertainment, products, and media, billionaires create the companies that produce these items, generating wealth through production rather than spending. Energy and Priorities: Billionaires prioritise high value activities, assessing the financial impact of each task. They outsource anything below their income generating value, understanding time is their most precious resource. Control Legislation and Policy: Billionaires influence political systems and regulatory frameworks to protect their interests. Through political donations and relationships, billionaires shape the economic environment to their advantage. BEST MOMENTS "Every winner was once a beginner and every master was once a disaster. So every millionaire and billionaire knows that, okay, let's say I need to learn a new skill. Well, one day I was a zeroaire and I didn't know it, but I knew I could learn it." "Your reward for solving a problem is a bigger problem and with every new level is a new devil. So the only way you can continually grow is that everything is your fault, even if it's not." "The wealthiest people I've met, they're transcending the judgment of all of this. They're not trying to be happy. They know what their emotions are and they're able to leverage those emotions, control them, master them." "If you are emotionally okay, you haven't got that drive to go do something that is beyond everybody else. Above, not even above average, just hall of fame worthy." (plus get a special bonus).CLICK HERE NOW: https://robmoore.directbullion.com Rob talks to billionaire real estate investor Robert Kiyosaki. Robert Kiyosaki shares shocking claims about our financial system, predicting a massive economic crash while revealing his strategies for building wealth without paying taxes. From advocating gold ownership to dismissing traditional investment advice as "loser" strategies, Rob and Robert Kiyosaki challenge conventional financial advice and might just change how you view money forever! KEY TAKEAWAYS Robert Kiyosaki believes we're witnessing the end of the American Empire, claiming that all empires eventually collapse when they debase their currency, as happened when the U.S. took the dollar off the gold standard in 1971. Real wealth comes from using debt strategically while owning physical assets like gold and silver, not from saving fiat currency. Robert Kiyosaki pays zero taxes legally by using tax incentives, forming a team of experts and structuring investments through real estate and precious metals, arguing that taxes primarily burden employees while entrepreneurs can legally avoid them. Traditional investment advice (like the 40-40-10 split between stocks, bonds, and gold) is described as 'the worst advice possible' by Robert Kiyosaki, warning that bonds will crash as interest rates rise, potentially wiping out banks and pensions. Robert Kiyosaki predicts silver will triple in value over the next two years and the silver-to-gold ratio will shift dramatically, making precious metals a better investment -vs- cash or digital currencies. Robert Kiyosaki talks about the importance of entrepreneurship and friendship in building wealth, sharing how he and his best friend pushed each other from their days at Xerox in 1974 to becoming multi-billionaires who "own the mines" rather than just the coins. BEST MOMENTS "Every empire dies when they violate this, when they changed the money... The reason you're doing so well today is because the dollar became debt... So real estate guys like my friend Trump and all that, we get rich using debt." "For me to get rich, I have to use debt, but what do our schools teach us? Stay out of debt. That's how stupid school teachers are. Debt makes guys like you and me rich. And ironically, because we use debt, we don't pay any taxes." "People who buy stocks, bonds, mutual funds are frickin losers. Why? Because you pay tax... I'm an entrepreneur. I am not an employee. I was a stupid kid in school, flunked out so many times." "One of the best assets you can have is your friend. So my friend and I always swore we'd be rich... We both met at Xerox in 1974. And we just pushed each other along, and today we're multi billionaires." Neil explores the importance of identifying and prioritising personal values for success in tutoring, teaching, or coaching businesses. Drawing from his extensive experience, Neil shares insights on how a clear understanding of one's core values can alleviate the overwhelm of opportunities and guide decision-making. He emphasises the significance of recognising what truly matters—like family, honesty, and professional integrity—over material gains. By using the metaphor of cake, Neil encourages listeners to focus on building a solid foundation of values before seeking the "icing" of financial success and other perks. This episode is a thought-provoking exploration of how aligning actions with values can lead to a more fulfilling and purposeful career. KEY TAKEAWAYS Identify Your Values: Understanding your core values is crucial for making decisions and navigating opportunities. Take time to reflect on what is truly important to you. Prioritise Your Values: It's not just about knowing your values; it's essential to order them correctly. Your highest value should serve as the foundation for all other values, guiding your choices and actions. Self-Reflection Questions: To clarify your values, ask yourself why each value is important to you. Continue this questioning process until you reach a point of clarity about your deepest values. Distinguish Between Cake and Icing: Your highest values represent the "cake" of your life, while other desires and goals are the "icing." Focus on building a strong foundation (the cake) before seeking additional rewards (the icing). Commit to Your Values: Recognize that certain opportunities may not align with your highest values. Be prepared to turn down lucrative offers if they compromise what you hold most dear, ensuring that your actions reflect your true priorities. BEST MOMENTS "Every day, my friend has lots of opportunities... it means he has to endure the agony of overwhelm of opportunity." "Values are like the building blocks of a house. Your highest value is the foundation upon which every other block is laid." "If I'm presented with an opportunity to do something a bit shady... I just ask myself, if Alex found out I did this thing, what would he think?" "When your values are disordered, your life will feel like a battlefield." "Those deeply held highest values, the ones you'll never compromise. They're your cake. The other things, well, they're the icing and the sprinkles on the top of that cake." For this episode, Toni is joined by Pam Greenhill who runs the popular YT channel Bloo´s Self Reliance urban homesteading and wellness channel. Through it, and her hands-on workshops Pam teaches people how to grow, stock up on food bargains and preserve while on a budget. She is a qualified chef, nutritionist, dietitian, herbalist and naturopath, mother of 2 sons and foster mother of 72 children. KEY TAKEAWAYS Relying on supermarkets is expensive and makes it hard to eat well. Only a small % of the food they sell is healthy and nutritious. Teach your kids how to grow, cook and preserve food. That is how Pam learned. Community matters, you are stronger together. Even an unexpected big bill can leave you unable to afford food for a few months, so it makes sense to be prepared and have food for emergencies. Be prepared in little ways for example having a blanket in the car on cold days. Plan your meals and shop around for ingredients. Only some things in discount stores are cheaper. Make your washing powder. Live mindfully. BEST MOMENTS “Every spare inch of my front and back garden is growing food. “ “Preparedness is more about life happening but you not being inconvenienced by it. “ “What you can grow yourself, or what is locally grown is so completely different. On this episode of the Scouting For Growth podcast, Sabine VdL talks to Magda Ramada, Senior Director and InsurTech Innovation Leader at WTW's Insurance Consulting and Technology, where she spearheads the company's engagement with InsurTech startups and blockchain initiatives worldwide. With over two decades of experience, she has become a prominent voice in digital transformation, advanced analytics, and emerging risks within the insurance industry. Today, we'll be exploring Magdalena's journey in InsurTech, her views on the challenges and opportunities in the industry, and her vision for the future of insurance technology. KEY TAKEAWAYS I got into insurance and technology by chance. 10 years ago I took on a project for a large insurance company whose CEO wanted to look at lobbying risks and macro-economic risks, which I was an expert on. I felt self-conscious talking about risk to the CEO, so I studied like I'd never studied before, and it was a great experience. After that, everything I did was around insurance which led me to blockchain technology, and I realised this was going to change the way we can neutralise risks. I don't think I'll ever leave. Technology is an enabler. It doesn't need to be AI-based or shiny or a startup, as long as it's the right kind of solution to transform the industry. In insurance, the applications of technology and the needs and functionality are very different from personal lines to motor, home or pet insurance. It's a world with a lot of complexity. What are the tools that enable me to use and analyse more data, leverage the data we already have, and how that data can travel from very different functions and allow a very different target operating model where the technical functions converge to work as one. There are a number of specialisms around that that go deep, like generative AI, natural language processing, OCR, where you become an expert in a niche and you don't need to know insurance. The first thing you need to understand is how a technology is going to affect what you are doing. Then there's the augmentation with everyone in the value chain (the claims handler, underwriter, customer, online customer, agent), these all need different interfaces and types of insight for the different personas to enable timely, better decision making. Not every technology will enable you to do that. BEST MOMENTS ‘Every time I had the choice of choosing insurance economics as an elective, I chose something else!' ‘I like being on stage, it's the closest I can get to teaching.' ‘One of the things that makes us different from other species is our ability to imagine how things can change and be radically different. Technology can help us with that.' ‘What is my insurer client going to need in 5 years? What is going to be critical? What is going to allow them to compete with others, to outperform and become front runners?' ABOUT THE GUEST Magdalena Ramada Sarasola, PhD, is a trailblazer in the global InsurTech landscape. As Senior Director and InsurTech Innovation Leader at WTW's Insurance Consulting and Technology, she drives the company's engagement with InsurTech startups and blockchain initiatives worldwide. tiny.cc/raisecash Rob talks about the three ways your cash is being stolen from you. This is NOT common knowledge! Rob reveals the 3 ways that your cash is being taken from you, in ways you don't expect without you realising it. KEY TAKEAWAYS The central banks and inflation are stealing from you. The banks print money, devaluing your cash. This is essentially a tax on your money. Paying tax is good when it is fair and is being used correctly. But the current UK system is neither of these. The third way your cash is being stolen is because your boss is earning it or a competitor. You need to take the action and step up to earn this money. BEST MOMENTS “Every time they print money it's essentially thieving money from you” “They're actually incentivised to reduce the value of your money as it reduces the value of their debt” “You need to let people know what's in it for them” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Dr Libby Weaver Nutritional, biochemist and multiple best-selling author talks with Angela about the three pillars of biochemical, nutritional and emotional which underpin her work and why our beliefs and perception drive our behaviours. When we make choices about foods that don't serve us it's never about the food it's the way we distance ourselves from the way we perceive things are when they are not how we want them to be and this fascinating episode explores how the combination of science, belief systems and nutrition is key in achieving effortless weight loss. KEY TAKEAWAYS There are consequences to shifts in our bio-chemistry There is no one way for everyone to eat because everyone is different. What everyone should do is eat a diet that is based on real wholefoods The focus needs to be on creating good energy and nourishment Detoxification is a process that is always going on inside of us but can be impacted by lifestyle choices Detoxification is a change process; the liver takes toxic substances and changes them so that they become harmless Eating a wide range of whole real foods supports the liver with detoxification Constantly elevated stress levels start to change the fuel the body perceives as being safe to use When the body is under stress it looks for a fast-burning fuel and it looks to glucose. The pattern of adrenalin production today has resulted in inflammatory compounds in the body High levels of adrenalin create inflammation and cortisol has to increase to deal with this Your body responds to the information you give it Our actions are driven by our beliefs and how we perceive ourselves We construct ourselves and live as if we need approval and in unpacking the beliefs you have created you need to be flexible about how others perceive you You have to do the inner work if you want to make changes to your beliefs It's never about the food its always about the emotions Humans will do more to avoid pain than gain pleasure Ask yourself if what you are thinking is really true? BEST MOMENTS ‘Every single second there are billions of biochemical reactions going on inside of us that create how we feel, function and look' ‘We are completely governed by how we feel' ‘Life can be incredibly challenging and simultaneously mind-blowingly magnificent' VALUABLE RESOURCES Get a free snapshot of your health and personalised report at www.yourtotalhealthcheck.com Join The High Performance Health CommunityUse ANGELA15 to save 15% on Primeadine Spermidine at angelafoster.me/primeadine ABOUT THE HOST Angela Foster is an award winning Nutritionist, Health & Performance Coach, Speaker and Host of the High Performance Health podcast. Different growth stages require different leadership skills; it's crucial to understand where your strengths lie and hire stage-appropriate executives. Situational leadership involves adapting your approach based on individual team member's needs and circumstances to maximize their potential. AI is a transformative force in business, with Amplitude leveraging it both for customer-facing features and internal operations. Consolidating tech stacks can increase efficiency and productivity, allowing sales teams to spend more time selling and less time managing tools. Embracing AI technologies like conversational intelligence can lead to significant improvements in metrics such as Average Selling Price (ASP). Leaders should lead by example. Continuous learning and experimentation with new AI tools and technologies are essential for staying competitive in today's business environment. BEST MOMENTS "Every stage of a company and its formation is unique. And frankly, different stages also tend to by and large require different folks." "My point of view on situational leadership is, it's not about others adapting to work with me. It's a bit about me recognizing where a person is at any given point in time in their journey, including having a sense for what's going on in their personal life." "In my 32 years being an operator in the tech space, I've seen some tectonic changes. You had the arrival of the internet, you had the mobile explosion, you had the cloud. And then for me, the fourth big change, the biggest change of everything is the arrival of AI." "As much as I may be the president of Amplitude, my role every day is I'm selling. I also work as an SDR. Every day. It is on me personally, as it's on all of us to take personal ownership for growing our businesses." On this episode of the World Game-Changers podcast, Paul continues the mini-series based around the "Second Greatest Story Ever Told." This time he talks to World Game-Changers' Chairman, Martin Leifeld about what the topic means for him. KEY TAKEAWAYS It seems to me that the second greatest story ever told is your story and my story, each one of us as a human being has a story & it's the most important one because it's about our life, our perceptions, our life experience. It implies that we can make something great & become someone great. The greatest truth is in one sense discovering your greatest purpose. It's universal that we become the greatest, most virtuous, most loving, most generous person we can be, a person who appreciates others & is rewarded by appreciating & being grateful for those around you, even the ones that give us a hard time. Suffering is an interesting thing. It can make the best out of people or it can lead to people becoming their worst selves. It all comes down to what we do with what we've got where we are now. Faith is very important to me along with family and service. I think about them every single morning as part of my morning practice of preparing for the day. BEST MOMENTS ‘Every human being has this equally provided by virtue of being a human being, you can be poor or rich, but it's what you do with what you have, where you are'. ‘We're all world game changers'. ‘Over the course of life we acquire experience which shapes us & causes us to reflect on our lives & shapes ourselves & what we see around us'. ‘Every moment in our day is an opportunity to decide & we perceive it accordingly'. Martin served as vice chancellor for university advancement at the University of Missouri–St. Louis for ten years. While there, he led a dramatic increase in fundraising, averaging $26.4 million per year. Prior to joining UMSL, Martin was associate vice president for university development at Saint Louis University, where he led his team raising $158 million in 3 years. Raising money became his Number One passion and Martin has since been able to distil the art of fundraising into core fundamental principles and a clear formula that anyone can learn. Hello and welcome to another episode of the Perception Podcast with me, your host Caroline Partridge. Today I talked to communication coach Christine Mullany about her unique training blending brain function, culture, and communication. We discuss the enormous effect of mindset on the way we express ourselves vocally, society's bias around regional accents, and the difference between mimicking and mirroring the voices we hear. Christine also talks vulnerably about her own journey through unprocessed trauma and the inevitable impact it had on her health. Please join me as we look at life through a different lens. KEY TAKEAWAYS Understand your brain, then the brains of others. Linguistics plays a role in communication, so communicating in a 2nd language is difficult. When you better understand yourself, what you have to offer, and learn to effectively communicate your mindset shifts. Overriding the communication norms, you were raised with is hard. Accent bias is real. Sometimes you need to tweak your accent and adjust your diction. Mirroring helps you connect but don´t mimic. What you say to your boss and how you frame things will be different than how you speak to a colleague. BEST MOMENTS‘Every person we communicate with needs something different.'‘Different countries have different conventions when it comes to communication. ´‘Sometimes different diction is required.' How we perceive the world is rooted in everything that has influenced us throughout our lives, emotionally and psychologically. We become the sum of our parts and each of us has our own unique view of the world. 'Vision' truly is an act of interpretation. In this podcast series through fascinating conversations, I set about trying to understand how we form our perceptions, view different perspectives, and examine how perception has influenced, inspired, or hindered the lives of each of my unique guests.
This week Ping is at a book fair. But don't worry, Doreen is back at the mic and the ladies are looking inward. They discuss the topic of believing in yourself and how every artist should find their way to doing it as it will, ultimately, help you grow and produce your best work. KEY TAKEAWAYS What is the emotional value of art? The ladies discuss this idea and how they think it shapes the way artists approach their work. They talk about how, as children, we only see emotional value in the art we make for others, but at what stage do we lose this idea and can we get it back? If you don't put your work out there, you'll never know what reaction it will get. Are some artists reluctant to share their work for fear of rejection or because they think no one will be interested in it? Doreen and Sarah talk about why you should always try as you'll never know if you don't. What is the difference between your inner critic and being critical of our work? How do you separate the two and how, once you understand this separation, can it lead to you flourishing as an artist? The ladies discuss the importance of making something from your heart. Don't be tempted to follow trends or fashion as this will only lead you to compare yourself to others. It takes courage to be true to yourself, but the rewards far outweigh those that you may receive from being ‘popular'. BEST MOMENTS “Every artist should believe that what they are making will be interesting to someone, otherwise why are you making it?” “Just do it, and have fun doing it. That's the most important thing.” “You never know what might resonate with someone.” ABOUT THE PODCAST A serious and fun podcast for female creatives hosted by Ping, Dorien and Sarah, three happy artists from Amsterdam. Are any banks safe right now? This is a question Rob has been asked a lot after three major banks have gone bust and in this episode, he gives his thorough answer as well as what you can do to help protect your money. KEY TAKEAWAYS The fractional reserve system allows all banks to legally trade insolvently yet this isn't widely recognised or known but the population. You can't never use a bank again but what you can do is choose a bank with a lot of history and keep your money in other places too. Were you a witch in a past life? Would you be considered a witch now? It wasn't witches who were burned at the stake, it was women who had too much power and knew too much. Today on The Wellness Way, Philly is joined by the modern day witch Lilly Statham, also known as Mystic Primrose.KEY TAKEAWAYSWitchcraft is using nature's energy to help you in one way or another. Energy can't be created or destroyed so witches use natural energies to manifest.Energy can transfer between anything, and Philly believes that witchcraft is knowing how to use those energies to heal.Halloween is the time of year when the veil between the physical world and the spirit world is at its thinnest so it's the best time of year to try and contact those on the other side. However, Philly doesn't recommend using an ouija board as that was a scary experience for her.Cinnamon represents abundance, wealth, prosperity, and all those good things. So at the start of your month, you take a pinch of cinnamon and blow it into your house and visualise that all those good things are coming into your home.Smudging is the ceremonial act of burning sage. In this episode, Jeannette talks about overcoming the fear of public speaking that most of us suffer from. She explains how to become more confident and deliver your message in an impactful way. Doing so in a way that will also enable you to improve your daily communication, which will strengthen your relationships, job prospects and many other aspects of your life. KEY TAKEAWAYS Public speaking is a fantastic way to improve your day-to-day communication. Invest in some training. Practice, there are some great clubs and groups out there that enable you to deliver a speech and receive constructive feedback. Use the pentagon technique Jeannette shares in the podcast to lay out your speech. Putting up a front is exhausting and impossible to keep up. It is better to be yourself. Use storytelling to bring your speeches to life. Tailor your speech to appeal to each audience you address. BEST MOMENTS‘Every single person has a valuable message to deliver. On this episode of the World Game-Changers podcast, Paul is joined by Collins Mureithi to talk about the challenges in African communities that can only really be overcome with good, effective leadership and to explain what the term ‘soulful leaders' means to him. KEY TAKEAWAYS Soulful leader is a person who brings service to humanity and is someone who is able to serve their community or humanity through giving his purpose in life or through giving without expecting or receiving anything. It's a servant leadership process. When I serve my community in Kenya, I don't look at what I'm getting, I serve because I know it's all about giving/serving with love. The reason I started a programme on leadership is because a lot of people do not understand the true definition of leadership. What needs to be done is to help people understand what exactly leadership is and who is a soulful leader. I see a lot of leaders who just want to be in positions because of what they get out of it. For example, in Kenya a lot of young people see that if they want to accumulate more wealth they need to be in leadership. It's the wrong mindset. People need to understand that the definition of heaven is what you choose to do, and whatever you do as a person will either haunt you negatively or positively. It's all about choice. It today I decided to be a servant leader because I've decided to serve with love. But if I decide to be a transactional leader, which comes with its own negative attributes, that's my choice too. The heaven you want to have is upon you to choose what you want to do and that choice will come back to impact you negatively or positively. BEST MOMENTS ‘Every day I serve my purpose through what I do and it revolves around love.' ‘When you accumulate things not in the right way, every day you have fear, but if you serve in the right way there's no way you will have fear.' ‘Technology has made the world into a village and we need to learn from the experts what the definition of leadership and soulful leadership is because if we understand it and know what you're supposed to do as a soulful leader, you can go and build others to be agents of positive change in the community.' In this episode, John talks about the importance of recognising that you do, whatever role you are in, work in sales. A scary topic for some but John provides some extremely useful advice on how to improve your confidence in selling. It's tough in real estate right now. Things aren't happening as quickly as they used to and we need to do whatever we can to get the work in. Through John's own coaching business, he has found that a lot of people say they are an agent but don't work in sales. To put it simply, this is NOT TRUE! Sales sounds scary to a lot of people but it really doesn't have to be. You just need to work on some key things to improve quickly. For John, it has been about practice. During this episode, John says that role play has helped him to become more comfortable when selling, which in turn improves your own confidence in how you approach these situations. How confident are you in selling your service and/or product? Tune into this episode if you want to learn how to improve your self-confidence and become a better salesperson. KEY TAKEAWAYS Everyone is in sales. Whatever role you are in, you are selling something. Put yourself out there. Try public speaking if the opportunity arises. This improves your selling confidence quickly. BEST MOMENTS “Every interaction we have with the general public or somebody that may want to buy or use our product or service, then we have to sell ourselves”. “If I'm not prepared to put in the hard graft and become uncomfortable in certain situations, I do not get to moan and twist when I don't get the business in”. Mary's and my conversation was unexpected and informative. She decided to change her career after she'd had children, when she realized that she wanted to feel more noticed in her life, both by others and by herself. She had always had a passion for color and adventure and followed her heart into starting a new business as an image and wardrobe consultant. While she tapped into the psychology behind dressing well, there is a presence in her, an authenticity and attitude of service towards her clients, that sets her apart. I hope you'll join us. KEY TAKEAWAYS - It's good to know the rules, but it's also good to know when to toss the rules and go by your instincts. You learn the difference through practice. Dress for the life that you want, not the life that you have. It's a well-known adage for a reason – it helps to reset your self-confidence on a subliminal level. Vibrationally, visibility is opportunity. When someone comes and taps your shoulder…that all has to do with visibility.” There is no timeline for any part of your life. You realize things when you realize things. BEST MOMENTS “Every client that I've had, I've always had something in common with them, we've always been aligned in some way.” “Colors help other people see you at your best.” “Your loved ones know when you've made (an effort). It doesn't matter what you're wearing, they can see when the effort is being made.” “I don't think there are enough Madonnas in the world. You can change that name to Beyonces, Nicki Minajs, whatever you want to change that name to. Culturally, women are shyer, they're more withdrawn, they don't boast about their achievements. I wanted to help more women be seen in the world.” ABOUT THE GUEST Mary is a former accountant who realized that she needed to change careers because she had always felt invisible. When she looked through her journal, she realized that two words kept recurring in her writing: colour, and image. Given her experience in hospitality and other parts of the service industry, and her desire to help women gain confidence in their lives, she found her fit (pun intended) as a personal stylist and wardrobe consultant. In this episode of Mark My Words, Mark discusses how an entrepreneurs mindset can be the difference between success and failure. How having the right mindset can make you resilient, adaptable and set you up for a successful and sustainable entrepreneurial journey. KEY TAKEAWAYS It's natural to have negative voices and ideas in our minds. They are linked with fear and advise us of danger and risk. Without these thoughts individuals would not be aware of very real danger – they are important for our survival as human beings. Often these voices are not useful to us, we can learn to ignore/tune out negativity that is actually detrimental to us, doing this is one of the ways we can be successful in business and in other areas of our lives too. What voice serves you and your situation best? Almost all of the time this will be something that is positive and provides you with confidence, helping you make better and more strategic decisions. Carl has today had his seventh visit from the police in response to a complaint. Previously he has just been trying to carry on and not say anything but in this episode he talks directly to whoever is making the complaints sharing exactly what he is doing at HKA, reaching out and trying to serve as many people in the community when they really need the help and support. Whoever you are Carl would love it if you popped in to HKA and then he can share more about how HKA is supporting the vulnerable in the local community and he’ll make the tea! KEY TAKEAWAYS If you are the person who is doing this come in and say hello and I’ll happily explain what we are doing. To our members, we are open, to under 18’s we are open, to children of key workers and children who are at risk we are open. We are not a gym we are an academy, there is not shared use of equipment. We work with the council and schools to support those who need it the most. Complaining just stops us from helping and serving the people in the community who need our help. There is depression, anxiety, and self-harming happening, the lockdown has not been easy for teenagers. We are just trying to help people as many people as we can in the best way we know how to. BEST MOMENTS ‘Every day we are being contacted by the parents of youngsters who are not coping and all we are doing is our very best to help’ ‘We are just trying to push to help as many people as we can’ VALUABLE RESOURCES HKA Main landing page www.hastingskickboxing.co.uk/kickstartnow YouTube https://www.youtube.com/user/Hastingskickboxing HKA Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Hastingskickboxing carldenne@hotmail.com ABOUT THE HOST Hi, my name is Carl Denne. I was born in Hastings in 1980. Married, father of two beautiful daughters, Bethany and Leigha. My daughters, the wife, and gym ARE MY LIFE. IF I’M HONEST, I pretty much failed at school. Heavily dyslexic, I was dismissed for being a “naughty kid” that didn’t want to learn. I was heavily bullied for having shit clothes and ginger afro hair. I didn’t have many friends. When I say bullied I don’t mean called a “poo-poo head” and being looked at in a nasty way. I mean thrown downstairs, and hit with chairs and tables. Clothes were stolen whilst in the shower. That kind of bullying… Oh, how things have changed… Martial arts, and specifically Kickboxing, have changed my life, and now I am much happier and change other people’s lives for the better on a daily basis. I am a complete adrenaline freak, so In my spare time, track days, jumping out of planes, sitting on top of them, rage buggies in the desert… The higher, the faster the better for me. I’m always looking for the next thing to get my blood pumping, so if anyone has a challenge I’ve not found yet, please feel free to share. I do like a Saturday night movie night, Chinese, Netflix, lots of chocolate with my three little ladies. I love being around my friends and family. This is why I love the crazy HKA family so much, as this is my extended family. I left school with pretty much nothing! A few sad GCSE’s C - D grade, BUT I did have a shit-ton of energy and passion to achieve, and to prove all the teachers and people that looked down on me for all those years, wrong. So, after a few jobs here and there, I settled on working for Openreach (BT) as a cabler/jointer copper and fibre optic multi-skilled engineer with HGV. I left this in 2015 to chase my dream of running my own Kickboxing Academy and working with the future of today, rather than a job that just paid the bills. I’ve trained pretty much my whole life: Karate, boxing, Judo, from the age of 9, and of course, I’ve now done over 29 years of Kickboxing. I’ve passed many Instructors and coaches courses, attended many training courses and seminars, grading up through the syllabus. I passed my 4-hour hell-on-earth 3rd Dan black belt in July 2018 with the ICO. If I’m honest my real passion and skills have come from learning the hard way; through being in the trenches. I know how it feels to be on your arse. I know how it feels to have to pull yourself out of the pit. I’ve been through a divorce. I’ve lived through the pain and have worked with thousands of members, students, children, teachers and adults over the years, and the one thing I get told every time is how well I/we keep it very real, and that I have a complete understanding on most eventualities. Thank you for reading and listening. I hope you connect with myself and the team, take away some ideas, understand you’re not alone, and that it’s good to talk, listen and help others as and when you can. In response to a question from his audience, Steven examines the principles behind his own “why”, revealing the driving forces that push him forward each day, and discusses the importance of recognising your own motivating purpose. KEY TAKEAWAYS The true purpose of being, the why that drives us forward, should always be rooted in the development of ourselves; to become the best version of us that we can possibly be. Fitness and health are not the same thing. One always supplements the other, but they are entirely different disciplines. Money itself doesn't bring happiness. What brings fulfilment is the opportunity to use money constructively. Increasing intelligence through education allows you to enter into more high-level conversations and discussions with more articulate thinkers, increasing the influence of your peer group. BEST MOMENTS ‘Every now and then I think about what my purpose is' ‘If you're sandwiching fitness and health together, you're going to be a superhuman version of yourself' ‘The right people are going to gravitate towards you, and you'll have better experiences' ‘Money is also the root of all goodness' VALUABLE RESOURCES The Steven Sulley Study ABOUT THE HOST The Steven Sulley Study is my take on success. My 'Study' has taken resources from reading and education plus being around, my perception, of successful people and I, know a lot of successful people from all walks of life. Have you ever wondered where all the money goes to during a recession? Well discover today how money doesn't just disappear, it changes its flow and direction. Learn today how people's spending habits change based on value and utility and how you and how you can utilise the new flow of money to your advantage during lockdown and beyond. KEY TAKEAWAYS During a recession, money does not simply disappear but the flow of money changes. For money to serve its function it must flow therefore money moves from one source to another based on people's needs and what is available at that time. Money flow stops when the value and the utility disappears. If you have struggled during the lockdown, you need to think ‘where was the utility and value?' ‘Why has that gone and how can I recreate it?' Adapt your lifestyle habits and business habits to go with the new direction of the money flow. Wealth equals ‘Value + Fair Exchange X Leverage. Value is about adding something (a product or service) of value into the world, fair exchange is the sweet spot between profit margins and value to the consumer. During the lockdown, people's needs and values have changed You have just got to see the new opportunity. What you need to think about during this lockdown, is ‘Where is that money flow correction?' It's easy to get wrapped up in the day to day and lose sight of the long-term goals so doing a regular audit of your business and life is a great way to get back in alignment with your goals and stay on track for success. Gavan reflects that taking the time to analyse where you are in your journey, your alignment to your goals, whether you are enjoying it and the impact on you of those on the journey with you are what creates an audit that makes a real difference. We all get out of alignment and a framework for what we are working towards is the key if we want to be more and really hit the highs. KEY TAKEAWAYS Doing a full audit on your life and goals should be done at least twice a year because it's easy to become misaligned in your life. Part 1- It all needs to be aligned Where do you want to be in 3 years, 5 years? what are your goals? Use a traffic light system to grade your weeks' activities getting rid of anything that doesn't add value. Part 2 – You need to enjoy it Every entrepreneurial journey will have some sort of sh#t you don't want to do Set the short term, medium-term and long-term goals that will give you an appreciation of the process the journey itself You have to create a framework for what you are working towards Part 3 – who is on the journey with you? You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Look closely at who you are spending your time with You need to find people who are aligned with your aspirations You'll come up with answers that will surprise you but an audit will help you find your true path and success. If you're in an airplane with 300 other passengers and you could have a passionate piot or a competent, committed and consistent pilot which would you take? Passion whilst important in the beginner can be an overrated trait for entrepreneurs and often acts as an excuse for poor judgment and ‘gut' instincts. In today's honest episode, Rob discusses the value of consistency, commitment, and persistence in business and why creating enduring success and longevity is far more important than just being passionate about what you're doing. KEY TAKEAWAYS Passion is often an excuse for being emotional, acting reactively and using your ‘gut' instinct instead of propper diligence or research. When you start of and you don't have the experience, passion can be an asset that makes up for what you currently lack, but you're still lacking. Enthusiasm is different from passion, it's controlled. Passion is almost an uncontrolled emotion and enthusiasm shows commitment and an obsession for your business and customers. Puristance is keeping going despite the knockbacks whereas passion is uncontrolled excitement but persistence is the ability to just keep on going no matter the setbacks Consistency and Commitment are longer burning traits then passion and will carry you further in business because there is something behind it backing it up, with passion there is no substance behind it and it will burn out over time. Often a lot of the things that make you wildly excited in business and the things that you're passionate about don't make you any money. There's a lot of people using passion as an excuse in business and they're passionate about so many things that in reality they're passionate about none. BEST MOMENTS “Every winner was once a beginner” “Every master was once a disaster” “Passionate people can lash out and be uncontrolled” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ ly/Robsupporter ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. In this episode Rob takes his several years of experience and knowledge of being a disruptive entrepreneur and explains the traits he's also often recognised with people who are also disruptive entrepreneurs. These 10 traits are discussed by Rob and why he believes they are traits of these types of entreprenures. KEY TAKEAWAYS Most disruptive entrepreneurs are impatient and hate things being slow. This also includes not liking internal politics and hierarchy. But this can be good as it means you're first to market. They're prepared to be wrong in order to be right, often learning from their mistakes. Many consider these type of entrepreneurs to be ‘crazy' which means they get a kick out of having unproven ideas. But these people make the impossible, possible. They're prepared to not be liked and loathed in order to be admired and respected. If you want to disrupt then you're going to have to have people dislike you on the way. They often cause chaos and disorder because they change and are impulsive. Entrepreneurs who are disruptive are also often visionaries so are able to tell the future before it's happened because they can create their future. They're prepared to fail often and fast because they tend to have a testing mentality where they get their product out as soon as possible without having it made perfect first. This could mean that there are often less worried about risk. It's common that disruptive entrepreneurs are delusional because they often believe that they can do things that everyone else deems as impossible. They expect and believe that they can draw more out of people than others can. So they deem a lot more things to be possible than a lot of others, often leading them to believe that they can do more than what they can't do. BEST MOMENTS ‘Every upside has a downside'. ‘Speed often wins'. ‘Always be live testing your products' VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ ly/Robsupporter ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor and property educator. We worry what people think about us but some common false assumptions that people make is that we can make everyone like us and that they're thinking about us all of the time. One of the most important and liberating things is to accept that there will always be people who support you and people who don't. KEY TAKEAWAYS In any time and space there will be someone who loves you, someone who loathes you, someone who supports you, someone who challenges you, someone who stands against you and someone who doesn't like you. It's likely that someone on this plant has very similar values to you but it's also very likely that there is someone who has the complete opposite values to you. Those who have similar values to you will support you and those who have opposite values to you will challenge you. For humanity as a group to be better, individuals have to be better and to be better we have to interdependently serve each other. We all produce and consume for each other which means we all have to be better at different things. No matter who you are there will always be someone who supports you and someone who doesn't support you. Accepting that is liberating. When you don't put yourself out there because you're scared of critics, you don't actually have any less critics, you just don't know who they are yet because you haven't put yourself our there. BEST MOMENTS ‘Every human has an individual set of values that are most important to them in their life' ‘Everybody is different and no two people are the same' ‘Evolution seems to be to me a random selection of improvement of genetics.' ‘Be stronger not weaker, be better not worse.' In this episode of The Money Podcast, Rob explains how to you can grow your start-up or scale-up without the benefit of having lots of money or backing behind you to begin with. You can use your own characteristics, experiences and human traits to network with others to get ahead in business, all of these do not cost any money. Some investors are not looking for people with lots of money and experience, they want someone with a strong work ethic, good at solving problems, lots of energy, trustworthy etc. KEY TAKEAWAYS Friends & Family. Some say it is not a good idea to mix family & business, which can be the case with large companies but when you're first starting up, your family or close friends will usually be willing to help you with admin tasks or helping out from time to time. Contra deals or Swaps. You can exchange your personal experiences or services with others without the exchange of money to help each other out so both parties benefit. Leveraging Social Media. Social Media is free and great way to target millions of people without spending a penny, try joining groups & pages, connect & network with other people in your niche to get your story out there. Ask for referrals. Don't be afraid to ask your existing clients if they know anybody who might also be interested, people tend to be friends with people similar to themselves. Build a proper referral program. Start an ambassador program for your company to gain leads. People are willing to bring new clients to your business for a share of the profits or even discounts codes they can use on your products. This can be the cheapest form of marketing to gain the best quality clients. Go to industry events. Get yourself out there to meet people and network with potential new clients. You'll never gain new opportunities sat in your house like a hermit. Collaboration / Joint Ventures. People and companies larger than you may want to work with you to promote you or your products if you are the new kid on the block and willing to pay them good money. If you can't pay them up front, pay them at the back end of the sale through commission. BEST MOMENTS ‘Every master was once a disaster, every winner was once a beginner' ‘Why are you complaining about being able to reach thousands of people for free at the speed of light?' ‘I believe in multiple streams of leads and multiple streams of income' ‘Get help from friends and family until you can afford to get staff' ‘You could build a $100,000,000 business on all social media channels' VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ Progressive Property Routine = Results by Rob Moore ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is the host of the UK's no. 1 business podcast “The Disruptive Entrepreneur,” as well as an entrepreneur, property investor, property educator, and a holder of 3 world records for public speaking. Welcome to another episode of The Disruptive Entrepreneur Podcast! On today's episode, Rob talks to Jay Cutler, 4X Mr. Olympia winner and the founder of Cutler Nutrition. Discover what bodybuilding and business – yes, two very different fields – have in common. For example, to be a pro bodybuilder and businessman, you have to have a strong mindset and maintain great relationships. Aside from this, Rob and Jay talk about how failure is important, how did Jay make the transition, how passion projects can be successful, how Sylvester Stallone in Rocky IV inspired him, and many more! KEY TAKEAWAYS Mind to Muscle Connection. You have to have a visual you want to achieve in your mind. See the genetic potentials. Consider the training, health and nutrition you have to keep track of. Bodybuilding needs hardcore mentality, aside from hard work and dedication. Jay has decided since he was 12 that he wanted to mould his own body to have a perfect and fit physique. At the age of 18, he started his training. He learned on his own and listened from trainers. Failure is important to grow mentally. Every time Jay enters a competition, he tells himself that he already ‘won' it despite whatever the result will be. You have to have strong mindset. Staying relevant and active in the community already feels like winning. Helping others who want to get into bodybuilding beats the times Jay goes up the stage to receive awards. Being impactful makes him feel good. Communication and relationships are important. When Jay made the transition to managing his business ventures, he felt it happened ‘automatically'. Consistency, dedication, and commitment. Jay advises young bodybuilders to prioritize those three. Stay on what you believe and stay passionate. Sometimes, we get influenced by people around us and our track gets shifted. How did Jay make the transition from professional bodybuilding to business? Aside from coming from a business-inclined family, he focused to venture on something he's passionate about. He wanna do so much more for the community. Choose what you want to do. Don't let other people tell you otherwise. It might take you long time to see results you want but it's going to be worth it. Don't be afraid to fail. No one likes it but you should be able to roll with it. BEST MOMENTS "Every time you get knocked up, get back up and fight stronger." - Jay "The most important thing you could build in your life is relationships." – Jay "You have to find a path that works for you and not be sidelined by others and be sidelined by negativity." – Jay "The most important thing is to stay true to who you are. Everyone has definitely a gift inside them." – Jay "You should chase your passion. You should do what you love - the hobby like bodybuilding.
