For this episode, David continues talking about transformational leadership. This week he focuses on why it is important to fully recognise who you are. To understand what matters the most. To help you to do this David shares what he calls the 7 Ps of transformational leadership roadmap. They will take you from stuck to unstuck and fully unleash your untapped potential. To explore how to get unstuck on your mission, put your purpose into practice and convert your ideas into impact book a discovery call with David here https://calendly.com/david-peoplewithpurpose/30min KEY TAKEAWAYS The impact you can have is limited by your skillset and the perception you and others have of you. So, transforming yourself is vital. You need clarity about what it is that you want and what is important to you. When you understand what really matters and focus your energies on that you achieve much more. Understanding your purpose is incredibly empowering. Your business why should be linked to your personal purpose. Make a promise to achieve something specific. Be ready to change who you are and to greatly improve your skillset. Productise what you have to offer so you can create a proposition that solves specific problems. Leverage other people's skills, time, and abilities. Review your current plans to get unstuck fast. BEST MOMENTS ‘You can only scale your business and your life to the level of your identity,' ‘Having your why clearly articulated is vitally important.' ‘The 5th P is people.' ‘The difference between good companies and great companies is actually execution.' In this episode, which is the 3rd in the CALM series, David takes you through how to become a transformational leader. He explains why people like to work for someone who is constantly trying to improve themselves, someone they trust and like. Before sharing a simple 6-step process any leader can use to have a bigger and more positive impact on their team. KEY TAKEAWAYS People prefer to work for leaders that they trust and like. People want to be led by someone who promotes togetherness – strong teamwork. Often, the members of your team, who spot the opportunities are your leaders of the future. Great leadership naturally creates better customer service and grows sales. Being clear about your business purpose and values is essential. Link, what the organisation is going to achieve, to what the people individually in their roles are going to achieve. The human mind works in 90-day cycles, tap into this fact when putting together plans to enable you to achieve business goals. Create trust, be sincere. Remember you are serving your team members as well as your customers. There is a strong pastoral element to being a transformational leader. BEST MOMENTS‘Every time somebody leaves your business it is probably costing you around £50,000.'‘Great leaders create great leaders.'‘Lead with calm.'‘Be careful about who you recruit in the first place.' Helping you to be aware of it, so that you are better equipped to manage change far better so that you can progress in your business and personal life far faster.   KEY TAKEAWAYS There is a 5-stage emotional curve that most people naturally follow when dealing with change. Jeannette explains what that curve looks like and the best way to navigate and harness those emotions to make things easier. Change is the only constant in our lives. In our personal and work lives things are in an almost constant state of flux. Equipping yourself to deal successfully with change is essential. We all move from feeling positive about something new to informed pessimism, then seeing the downside. Jeanette explains how not to give up at that stage. Returning to your comfort zone means you just have to start again, later.   BEST MOMENTS ‘It is not that people don´t like change. I think it´s more that we're not always equipped with the tools to help us to cope. ´ ‘Embrace change and benefit from it.' ‘Have a strong vision…it will help pull you through the tough times.' This is the perfect time to get focused on what YOU want to really achieve in your business, career, and life. It's never too late to be BRAVE and BOLD and unlock your inner BRILLIANCE. Many of us had grand New Year's resolutions for 2020, only to have them smashed to pieces by living through a global pandemic. We have a different way of thinking about goal setting that is far more flexible and goal oriented: 90-day incremental goals. This is a way of setting goals we want to accomplish on our own schedule, making them more attainable and able to change course if and when circumstances change.   Key points of the 90 Day Goal Set     Set goals for yourself on your own time schedule. 90 days isn't set by yearly quarters, or month, but when you're ready to get started on your goal. It can begin at any time, and so there is no excuse to put it off     Set a reasonable goal that can be achieved in increments during that 90 days to track yourself. Seeing results is key to maintaining your goals and keeping on track     Focus on building the habit that is needed to accomplish your 90-day goal. Building those habits into muscle memory will help sustain the goals you've accomplished and will help to prevent back-sliding.     At the end of the 90 days, assess where you are and what you now know that you didn't know before. Create your new 90-day goal based off of that new information and build upon your results.   Remember, the whole point of this exercise is to give you the tools to achieve the success you want even when the world is changing around you. Set your goals and focus on keeping them in those 90 days, but be ready to reassess when the next 90 days comes around. Form positive habits to keep you on track and to build on your successes as you achieve them.   Some things to consider:   Think about some goals you'd like to accomplish both professionally and personally in the next 90 days. What do you think you could achieve if you only had 90 days to plan?   Track your progress in whatever way is comfortable to you. You can use the calendar on your phone, or a cheap note pad, or a journal. The only person you are accountable to is yourself because you're doing this for yourself.   Books mentioned this week:   The 12 Week Year: Get More Done in 12 Weeks than Others Do in 12 Months by Brian Moran https://www.amazon.com/12-Week-Year-Others-Months/dp/1118509234/ref=sr_1_1?crid=AFT2F5VGK0N&dchild=1&keywords=brian+moran&qid=1606715749&sprefix=bryan+moran%2Caps%2C226&sr=8-1   Atomic Habits: An Easy and Proven Way to Build Good Habits and Break Bad Ones by James Clear https://www.amazon.com/Atomic-Habits-Proven-Build-Break/dp/0735211299/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=atomic+habits&qid=1606715955&sr=8-1   Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business by Gino Wickman https://www.amazon.com/Traction-Get-Grip-Your-Business/dp/1936661845/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3GGFJZCEJTRIV&dchild=1&keywords=traction+book&qid=1606715885&sprefix=traction%2Caps%2C214&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyRzg2RzJMTktPSlkmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTEwNDcxNzVVR0JUSEc2MzdOWVUmZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDY5MzA3NTExRkJaN1pNVlVCOFkmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl   Remember to subscribe and leave a 5-star rating, as well as a review if you'd like us to talk about a subject or if you just want to let us know how much you like the podcast!   Follow us on social media!   Steve Valentine:  https://www.instagram.com/stevedvalentine/    Bernie Espinosa: https://www.instagram.com/bernzpix/

If you want to increase your wealth and have passive income streams, then you’re at the right place! Today on the Fire In The Belly Podcast, Mighty Pete talks to Paul Maskill, a well-known small business coach and advocate. Together, they discuss how you can build a business, design a working system that you can utilise, and also leverage so you can have more free time.  During these difficult times, it’s very normal to worry about our future. Let Paul and Mighty Pete eradicate that concern away. Prepare and strategise; you’ll find that money-making business idea soon! KEY TAKEAWAYS Paul can’t count how many times did he feel that he was boxed to do only limited things as he progressed in life. There are things that only the society deems proper to do—from your school days to your career journey to even retiring. But remember that you have the power to modify and make it work for you. Being adventurous and eager is hard if you always get influenced by societal norms. Paul was glad that he followed where his heart is leading him to. He’s confident that he’s already prepared for life and has been very impactful to other people. Experience is really your best teacher. Paul was happy growing his first business with his team, but he noticed that it wasn’t working anymore. He was a business owner clocking in 80 hours in just one week. Clearly, there was something wrong there. So, he found ways on how to automate and systematise his operations. He learned from people who knows more than he does. He consumed every business book and every business podcast he can find. This also catapulted his interest in learning about personal development too. He found out that the reason why he’s had a difficult time scaling up his business is he wasn’t delegating tasks effectively. While entrepreneurs are knowledgeable and are capable to do every operational task, they must learn to decipher what are of great importance. Right now, Paul helps his clients build a great business so they can leverage it and lead their dream lifestyle in the future. He adds that being ready psychologically and most importantly financially. BEST MOMENTS “Life is too short to be doing something you hate every day.” “Give them (kids) access to everything and let them figure out… Give them the tools to actually succeed and let them figure out what works best.” “I’m all about enjoying life, but for me, it’s all about experiences.” VALUABLE RESOURCES Know more about Gary Vaynerchuk: https://www.garyvaynerchuk.com/ Two books recommended by Paul Maskall: The Go-Giver, Expanded Edition: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea by Bob Burg | https://www.amazon.com/Go-Giver-Expanded-Little-Powerful-Business/dp/1591848288 Built to Sell: Creating a Business That Can Thrive Without You by John Warrillow | https://www.amazon.com/Built-Sell-Creating-Business-Without-ebook/dp/B004IYISQW The 12 Week Year: Get More Done in 12 Weeks than Others Do in 12 Months by Brian P. Jonno runs his own consulting business called Clarity that aims to develop leaders to be the best they can possibly be. I thought who better to sit down with to figure this all out.  I wanted to release this as an episode as I know that so many people are struggling with this also and that it would be beneficial for people to go through the process too! How to Use the Same $70,000 to Buy 7 Single Family Rentals Long Distance with Alex Felice

Alex Felice is an Army veteran who admits he woke up one day and realized he was broke because he was making bad choices with his money. He made a commitment to educating himself about managing his money and real estate investing, and 18 months later, he bought a foreclosure that launched his investing career. He specializes in executing the BRRRR (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat) method from long distance. In a few short years, he has built a strong portfolio of single family rentals. What’s his destination? His original goal was 10 single family homes paid off by retirement. He discovered he could do it a lot faster, got about 70% of the way there in two years which opened his eyes to bigger possibilities. How much money did he get started with? Got started with $3,000 that he used for a 3.5% downpayment to buy a foreclosure using an FHA loan. How long did it take for him to educate himself? About 18 months How much time does it take him now? His property manager allows him the option to not spend much time on this, but he chooses to spend a lot of time on it because he’s still in acquisition mode. Could he do this from anywhere in the world? If all he wanted to was maintain his portfolio, he could do it with one email and one phone call per month. But that’s a testament to his property manager. What you’ll learn about in this episode Make sure you have the long term bank financing lined up BEFORE you buy a property you’re planning to BRRRR. People forget that there is a Return on Investment, but there is also a Return on Equity. Education is the most important thing you can do to get started in this business. The education ramp up is high. Took him about 8 months to buy his first house hack. It took two years to buy his first rental property, but he then bought 7 properties in the next two years. Finances deals now using cash to purchase the property, rehabs the property, gets long term financing on the property once it’s rented out using delayed financing which allows him to pull the original capital out and do it all over again. He writes down his processes, follows them and encourages his team members to follow them. “This is the process that seems to work. Let’s write it down, let’s get it on paper. Panel: Charles Max Wood Special Guest: Rodric Haddad Rodric used to be part of the Angular team initially as an intern and eventually a contractor. He is a CTO at Coddict, a startup in Lebanon that manages high traffic in websites like magazines and newspapers. At the age of 14, he aimed to build a tool for a browser-based game he was playing. His brother and best friend who were both into programming helped him do it. Not only did they build tools just for themselves, they also shared it to the community. Rodric got into angular when he was helping his brother build websites. Since the start, he's always been the JavaScript fanatic. Angular soon came into popularity, and he started on it around 2011 or 2012. His purpose for using Angular was for his own projects and helping people in Plunker. He soon moved to Github issues sending per request to the framework. In the NG conference in 2014, he was invited by the Angular team to work with them as an intern. At the beginning, an intern comes for a few months usually around summer. In Rodric's case, he ended up as a contractor back when he was in Montreal, doing some remote work. A full-timer works as a part of the team in Google. In his experience as an intern in the Angular team, he had knowledge on the Angular 1 which made him do similar responsibilities with other team members, particularly working on the core. He realized that it's more about your knowledge than your employment status. He was with the Angular core team around 2014 or 2015. When he released a new version, it had a bug that brought down a lot of tests inside Google. It ended up like the name collision was a library used by many Google's Angular applications used internally. He, along with the team, figured out its naming inclusion and ended up making its property become unique. They added his favorite number to it which was 339. If you look at any element in Angular 1, you would find a property called NG 339. To hear the rest of My Angular Rodric Haddad, download and listen to the entire episode. Todd is one of the co-founders of Track JS, which is a JavaScript error monitoring service. He first got into programming in Jr. High when he and his friends played around with computers they had dumpster dived for from their school in order to play video games. In High School, he learned how to create websites so that people could register for his LAN parties online. If there's one thing nearly all entrepreneurs and business owners have in common it is the desire to live a life of significance. We want to do something that matters, something that makes a positive impact in the world. A great example of this is our guest on today's episode of The Speaker Lab, Mr. Aaron Walker. Aaron has been self-employed and owned a business of some variety since the age of 18; he hasn't worked for anyone else in 38 years! In all of those years he has experienced the full spectrum of the entrepreneurial journey: the highs, the lows and everything in between. On our 133rd edition, he talks candidly about that journey, especially the life-altering experiences. We also talk about his advice for managing the roller coaster ride of being your own boss, and why he came out of retirement to coach (including who encouraged him to do so!). Today Aaron Walker is a coach, best-selling author, podcaster and acclaimed speaker, and he's our guest on this edition of The Speaker Lab. THE FINER DETAILS OF THIS SHOW:    Why does he love coaching the most of any of the 12 businesses he has owned? Why you have to give any idea at least two years. Is work-life balance a myth? The thing that holds most people back, and how to not let it stop you. What is the enemy to excellence? How and why should you get true and honest feedback? The power of promoting others: why it works and how to do it. How has he managed his focus in his businesses over the years? And so much more!   EPISODE RESOURCES Aaron Walker's website Aaron Walker's podcast View From The Top, by Aaron Walker Aaron Walker on Twitter [amazon text=The 12 Week Year&asin=https://www.amazon.com/12-Week-Year-Others-Months/dp/1501277332], by Brian P.
