F1TV commentator and former Renault driver Jolyon Palmer, and De Telegraaf journalist Erik van Haren, join Tom Clarkson to preview this weekend's Sao Paulo Grand Prix. With four races and two F1 Sprints to go, Lando Norris leads Oscar Piastri at the top of the World Championship by just one point. How has Lando turned around a 34-point deficit to Oscar since his DNF in Zandvoort? Will the pressure change now he's gone from ‘hunter' to ‘hunted'? And having not been on the podium in the last four races, can Oscar regain momentum? In Mexico, Max Verstappen gained more ground in his late push to win a fifth championship in a row. Now 36 points off the lead, are Max's title chances in his own hands? And if he was to complete an incredible comeback, where would that achievement rank among his other successes? Erik also shares insight into Red Bull's transformation under Team Principal Laurent Mekies and what Max's future may hold after 2026. Plus, the guys discuss how the incredibly tight battle between Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull for P2 in the Constructors' Championship could play out. We talk about how she booked her flights and where she stayed, plus what the experience was actually like once she was there — the atmosphere, the food, the people, and the chaos that only Italy can deliver. We also chat about how this trip fits into the bigger picture of the dreams that points and miles can make possible. Surprise surprise.. The airplane flies at max altitude and speed, but we're not stopping, we're going to space. Mary Yuzovskaya and Philippa Pacho have just finished their sets. It's peak Saturday night. Lasers, smoke, hazy dreams and perfectly tuned F1's, even the trees are buzzing. The forest knows. Knows that a Japanese techno sensei is secretly entering Varden at 02:30 in the cover of darkness. The live set starts out with some form of a soft air raid alarm, but less sharp and ominous. “Is it DJ Nobu?” “Is it Wata Igarashi?” you hear all over the field. DOLTZ is a surprise, and not listed in the program. He continues with an ambient, almost psychedelic sound. Then slowly layering of all the little sounds that circle around the main beat, letting tension build, balancing experimental and driving techno. There are no sudden drops, but periods of pulling back before reintroducing energy to the dance floor. DOLTZ took us with him into what felt like a wormhole. The beat held us steady, but everything around it was spinning, stretching, and folding in on itself. The reactions from the Monument family were as different as they were similar. Some were jumping, some were shaking, others were dancing pirouettes, moving slowly, or standing still. At times, it was like being inside a centrifuge or a washing machine. Not dizzy, but surrounded, as if the sound pressed against the body. His set was a physical experience: immersive, disorienting, yet weirdly grounding at the same time. Friends, step into the rocketship and journey through the wormhole once again. Return to Doltz at Varden. The techno gods were smiling from ear to ear that night. FELIPE MASSA AND THE 2008 CHAMPIONSHIP NOW IN COURT!…WHO KNEW AND, WHO DIDN'T KNOW? WILL LCH BE FORCED TO HAND OVER 2008 GOODIES?...HOW COULD PIASTRI DROP OFF SO BADLY? COMPARED TO LANDO NORRIS! AND, THIS WEEK'S NASIR HAMEED CORNER WE GET NOSTALGIC WITH A LOOK BACK TO 2016...GP2 ENGINE AAAHHHH.... Felipe Massa's Legal Case: In 2023, Massa filed a lawsuit against the FIA (International Automobile Federation) and F1's governing body, arguing that the manipulation of the 2008 race — which he believes cost him the championship — was not only unfair but should have been investigated more thoroughly at the time. Key points in Massa's case include: Fraud and Misconduct: Massa alleges that the events surrounding the Singapore Grand Prix in 2008 were fraudulent and misrepresented to the public, and that this directly affected the outcome of the championship. Potential Victory: He claims that, had the safety car period not occurred due to the orchestrated crash, he would have won the race and the title. Timing: Massa's case is built on the assertion that new evidence (like testimonies from insiders and other facts) has come to light, suggesting that the true extent of the manipulation wasn't fully revealed or dealt with at the time. Why Now? Massa's legal action comes years after the original events, with the key question being why the case is being pursued so late in the day. Some speculate that Massa might have been waiting for the right legal grounds or new evidence to surface, or simply for a change in the FIA's leadership and its handling of such cases. Current Status: As of late 2023, the case was ongoing, with Massa and his legal team looking to secure compensation or possibly even a re-opening of the 2008 season's results. Massa has hinted that he might be seeking justice more than just financial recompense. The outcome of this case could have significant implications for F1 and how the sport handles cases of team manipulation, race fixing, or other forms of cheating. It also raises questions about accountability within F1 and the FIA regarding race conduct. Massa's lawsuit is likely to be a long and complex legal battle, given the intricacies of sports law and the FIA's position in the motorsport world. How sweep it is: Porsche takes all three IMSA titles. At the end of the day, you can't talk about a history of racing without a history of winning. After a season of sweat, heat, trading paint and swapping drivers, Porsche Penske Motorsport has taken all three 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship titles: Drivers', Teams', and Manufacturers'. No race—and no championship—is a given until the checkered flag drops. Yet after finding victory lane in the first four races of the season, there was definitely something in the air around Porsche Penske Motorsport. And with victories secured at Daytona, Sebring, Long Beach, and Monterey, the 963 was cementing its status as another legendary Porsche endurance racer. A string of strong finishes followed, all of them in the face of intense competition—which is exactly how racing should be. Because it's in the heat of the moment that you learn the lessons that make you better. All of them culminating at Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, where the whole Porsche Penske Motorsport crew took what they'd learned and made it official: they're the champs. Send us a textCan one AI system learn from every organ — and teach us something new about all of them?In this edition of DigiPath Digest #31, I explore how artificial intelligence is transforming pathology across multiple organ systems, revealing connections that help us diagnose faster, more consistently, and more accurately than ever before. From glomerulonephritis to hepatocellular carcinoma, AI is no longer confined to a single specialty — it's becoming the connective tissue between them. What's Inside:1️⃣ AI for Bladder Cancer Classification We begin with a multicenter study validating AI models for urothelial neoplasm classification using over 12,000 whole-slide images. Both CNNs and transformer models achieved high accuracy (AUC 0.983, F1 score 0.9). I discuss why the F1 score matters — and what it tells us about model balance between sensitivity and specificity.2️⃣ AI in Colorectal Cancer Care Next, we explore multimodal AI — integrating histopathology, radiology, genomics, and blood markers to modernize colorectal cancer workflows. AI now helps detect adenomas, infer microsatellite instability (MSI) from H&E slides, and predict treatment outcomes. I highlight the critical need for external validation, interpretability, and governance as AI enters clinical use.3️⃣ AI for Glomerular Nephritis Diagnosis A deep learning model trained on over 100,000 kidney biopsy images identified four nephritis types — FSGS, IgA, MN, and MCD — with over 85% accuracy. This technology could ease workloads and improve turnaround time in renal pathology. Still, I share why AI support may feel both empowering and unsettling for many pathologists.4️⃣ AI in Liver Disease (MASLD & HCC) AI is advancing noninvasive fibrosis staging and risk prediction in liver pathology. From large consortia like NIMBLE and LITMUS to predictive models for HCC therapy response, AI is moving us closer to precision hepatology. I also discuss the challenge of translating these tools from research to regulatory approval.5️⃣ Lightweight AI for Domain Generalization Finally, we look at one of pathology AI's biggest challenges: domain shift — when a model trained on one scanner or staining style performs poorly elsewhere. The new Histolite framework shows how lightweight, self-supervised models can generalize across data sources — trading some accuracy for reliability in real-world use.My TakeawayAcross every study, a single message stands out: AI isn't replacing pathologists — it's amplifying our vision. By connecting kidney, colon, liver, and bladder insights, AI is teaching us that medicine works best when it learns across boundaries.Episode HighlightsBladder cancer AI validation (06:41)Multimodal colorectal AI (12:38)Glomerular nephritis deep learning (19:29)AI in liver pathology (29:55)Domain shift & Histolite framework (38:17)Halloween wrap-up + SITC preview (46:18)Join me next time for updates from the SITC 2025 Conference, where I'll be live at Booth 415 with Hamamatsu and Biocare, discussing how AI and spatial biology are converging to drive clinical utility.#DigitalPathology #AIinHealthcare #ComputationalPathology #CancerDiagnostics #LiverPathology #RenalPathology #FutureOfMedicine #DigiPathDigestSupport the showGet the "Digital Pathology 101" FREE E-book and join us!

3. Last minute. ¡A tope! 5. La famosa “anti-trazada”. Consejo: Observa. Consejo: No te confíes.

When Formula 1 drivers want to go faster, they study squiggly lines on a screen. This is F1 data, showing how drivers accelerate, brake, steer and more. Hidden in the squiggles are the secrets of speed. Tom Stallard, Race Engineer to Oscar Piastri at McLaren, and former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer join Christian Hewgill to decode F1 data. Tom answers your questions on what data is recorded, how it is fed back to the teams by hundreds of sensors on each car, and how engineers analyse thousands of pieces of information. Jolyon explains how F1 drivers study their own data to find improvements, what they can learn from looking at their team mates and rivals' data, and the data drivers need to know during qualifying and races. 30 years ago, a 120mph puncture sent Mika Hakkinen's car spinning over a high kerb and into a wall of tyres. His McLaren did not have many of the safety devices modern F1 cars have. Mika suffered serious injuries which left him in hospital, unsure if he would ever race again. Mika tells Tom Clarkson he thinks about his crash at the 1995 Australian Grand Prix every day, and he remembers the moment he lost control of the car and hit the wall vividly. He talks about his physical and mental recovery and the nerves he felt the first time he got back into a Formula 1 car after the crash. Hakkinen returned to Formula 1 for the 1996 season, but says the crash had a lasting impact. He recalls how he shook off his doubts, rediscovered his speed and became strong enough to win the Formula 1 World Championship in 1998 and 1999. Track limits, leaving the track and gaining an advantage, causing a collision, not leaving space at apexes, marshals on track with cars at full speed, contentious VSC on the penultimate lap, maybe at some point we'll get some racing in? The Mexican Grand Prix this year wasn't the best day for F1 race direction and the ever rotating cast of stewards. Amongst all the controversy we still got one of the best races of the season with battles going on all the way down the grid, even Lance Stroll managed to get a clean overtake in (if that doesn't say it's the end of days, I don't know what does.) And through all that, the 3 way battle for the championship is still going on and going down to the wire. This week on the podcast we look back at the Mexican Grand Prix where Lando Norris managed to re-take the lead in the Word Driver's Championship for the first time since before the Suadi Arabian GP, after a very off the boil start to the weekend for team-mate and rival Oscar Piastri. But you can't forget the looming shadow of Max Vertappen, who is still up there too.As always there's some attempts at predictions for how the rest of the season is going to pan out as we've still got 4 races and 2 sprints to go and it's really anyone's guess as to who is going to walk away with the 2025 crown. Doesn't stop us having a go though! Also, sorry for missing last week after the US GP, but we were victims of the Amazon outage last Monday and it took until Wednesday to get things recovered properlyAnd if you want to join in with the chat during the races (along with practice and qualifying) head over to our Discord where there's always a great crowd of people to watch along with.
