We had the pleasure of interviewing Wrabel over Zoom video! The much-anticipated debut full-length album from Wrabel, ‘these words are all for you', will drop on Sept. 24 via Big Gay Records/Nettwerk, ushering into the world the next chapter from one of modern music's most celebrated, versatile, powerhouse songwriters and rising artists. Also today Wrabel has announced a short, intimate run of live dates, the nothing but the piano tour, which includes a stop at NYC's Le Poisson Rouge and an album release show at LA's The Regent Theater this late summer/early fall. Wrabel will also perform this Sunday (6.06) at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as part of the OutLoud: Raising Voices festival. The new album is a refined, masterfully written and cathartically performed collection that is 11 years in the making. Whether it's on tracks like the Billboard-applauded “good”, the beautifully orchestrated “wish you well” (about the “tug of war” of letting go of past loves), the achingly reminiscent and sonically vast “london”, the hauntingly sparse “don't pick up the phone” or the new single “nothing but the love” (whose video drops today), ‘these words are all for you' showcases what has made Wrabel a go-to for heart-shattering slice-of-life songwriting about finding love, losing it, and discovering oneself throughout the journey.“I can't believe this is my debut album. It's been years in the making. The oldest song is around eight years old, and the newest, just a few months,” said Wrabel about the lifespan of the album's creation. “I poured everything into this record and I am just so proud of it. I feel so lucky to have been able to make it with people so close to me and as an independent artist on my own label partnered with Nettwerk. I always thought my first record would be a break-up record, since the first time I started making it it very much was. This album is filled with love. Hope. True stories and true feelings. I hope me sharing in this way helps even one person feel understood, feel better, feel like they're not alone, and it offers hope that love will come and bring the healing powers it holds.”The new video for “nothing but the love” (directed by Michael Thomas and featuring dancer Layne Willis) is gorgeously choreographed and feels like a spiritual reawakening. Watch HERE.Of the video, Wrabel said “Michael Thomas was such a pleasure to work with on this video. And Layne Willis, my goodness. I feel so lucky to have gotten to witness your incredible talent up close. This song is so close to my heart. The only song I wrote by myself on the record. With Michael's direction and Layne's emotive movement, we wanted to show that someone or something is showing me how to express myself, showing me the flow of expression. To mirror the love I am so grateful to have found.”Wrabel's resume speaks for itself. He has toured alongside and collaborated with P!nk, has co-writing/performance credits alongside the likes of Kesha, Marshmello, Celeste, Backstreet Boys, Ellie Goulding, Louis Tomlinson, Louis the Child, Wafia, Cash Cash, and more. He's released four previous EPs, has racked up 265 million streams across all DSP platforms, and his song “The Village” has become an LGBTQ+ anthem. Over the past few years, his “knife-to-the-heart” (Idolator) songwriting has led to him becoming “one of Hollywood's finest songwriters for a decade” (American Songwriter), earned him a performance spot on the national NBC TODAY stage and had Billboard saying that Wrabel is “ready for his breakthrough”.We want to hear from you! WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT? WHAT HAPPENED IN LOURDES?Why did Mary come? What was so important at this time in history, in this country? It’s easy in retrospect to understand the need for divine intervention in 1858. The Church had gone through one of its worst periods possible in Europe. It had not quite recovered from the French Revolution. New governments, new revolutions attacked the Church and the people. In 1848, the Archbishop of Paris was murdered when yet another revolution took place in France. It then spread itself to Rome. The Pope’s Prime Minister was murdered. The Papal Palace was attacked. Many were wounded or killed. It became violent to the point of driving Pope Pius IX out of the Vatican State. Belief and trust in the promise of Jesus waned badly. It seemed as if the Church was tolling its death knell. Louis Napoleon brought his French troops to the aid of the Church temporarily, and the Pope was able to return to Rome. But the calm was shortlived. The war clouds loomed over the horizon again. Satan poised his troops in preparation for the final destruction of the Church. In 1854, in the midst of this, and in the face of massive opposition, one of Mary’s staunchest supporters, Pope Pius IX proclaimed to the world what had been believed down through the centuries, but had never been made a Dogma of the Church. THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION was declared fact, and all Catholics were required to believe this. There had been a popular heresy spreading throughout Europe at this time, Pantheism, which claimed that man was equal with God. By this proclamation, Our Lord Jesus through the Pope declared that with the exception of Jesus, only Mary was conceived without Original Sin. The rest of the human race are heirs of Adam and Eve, and all that goes with it.This proclamation caused more problems than it meant to solve. Rumbling went on inside the Church, and outside in Protestant circles. It was outrageous, they said, to give this singular honor to a woman. Shades of Lucifer! He, the once favored angel of God, made this same statement when told that a woman would be Queen of Heaven and Earth, of all the Angels and the Saints. His pride couldn’t take this. He and his band of angels revolted against God and Heaven. The cry of Mica-el, (Who is Like God?) reverberated the Heavens. With Michael the Archangel at the helm, the loyal angels of God cast Lucifer and his pack down into the black hole of hell. Lucifer has hated the name of Mary since that time. Under the influence of Satan, the enemies of the Church claimed Mary was from Adam as we all are; that she came into the world with the same stain of sin that everyone else was born with. “It was one thing for the peasants, the uninformed, to believe in this superstition”, they ranted. “How could the Church make this farce into dogma?”Our Lady of Patience, my Mary, who has never given up on us in 2,000 years, waited. One year went by. The situation was bad. Two years went by. Not much change took place in the attitudes of her children towards the new Dogma of the Immaculate Conception. The third year passed. But still she waited. And then she did the predictable. She found a remote town of no great importance, and within that speck on the earth, she chose a simple child of the poorest family in the region, and led her to a garbage dump. From that vantage point she was to send out a message to the world for all time, loud and clear, confirmation of Pope Pius’ IX dogma, in the statement she made in the 16th Apparition on the Feast of the Annunciation,QUE SOY ERA IMMACULADA COUNCEPCIOUI AM THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTIONShe even spoke the words in a local patois, or dialect, rather than the language of the country, to a child who had no idea whSupport the show (https://bobandpennylord.store/pages/we-need-your-help)
Dr. Jude Currivan — cosmologist, futurist, planetary healer and author of the new book, The Cosmic Hologram — is this week’s guest on Nonviolence Radio, and she ‘illuminates’ for listeners (and readers) a new perspective from which to understand the cosmos. This perspective captures the essential unity that permeates every level of existence, from the atomic, to the personal, to the galactic. With Michael, she traces the idea of cosmic unity back to ancient spiritual traditions and then returns to modern science, which is now (re)discovering the same wisdom. The meaning and unity that is the foundation of all being impacts not only scientists and scholars, but each of us in our everyday lives, “We are waking up,” Dr. Currivan says, “to literally remembering that we are inseparable. One of the things with that though is the emphasis on unity-in-diversity — because unity is not about uniformity. It’s this incredible gorgeous, wonderful radical diversity of expression.” Understanding that each of us is a unique expression of a bigger oneness or whole can explain the grounded and joyous feeling of loving and being loved, it can help to motivate our meditation practice, and perhaps most importantly, it can fuel our desire to work — nonviolently — to improve and transform the world. Video content has exploded in recent years and shows no signs of slowing down as a major marketing medium. But making watchable, engaging videos that are on-brand requires training and practice. I’m pleased to be joined today by Michael Dutcher, CEO and co-founder of bspoketv — a streaming TV channel that creates 30-minute episodes from proven YouTube influencer content. With Michael’s help, we’ll explore watchability. What it is, why it’s important, and how to increase it on your own videos. We’ll also discuss why you need outside eyes to give you feedback on your videos, how to stay consistent in your video brand, and which platforms will best suit your video needs. Video can be daunting in the beginning, but Dutcher believes that you don’t need to be newscaster-perfect and that no one is great right out of the box. Tips to produce better videos Consistency is key — create a recognizable style and keep it. Publish at the same time every time, even if you only make videos at two-week or one month intervals. Start small — bite-sized content works fine and allows you to practice. For longer videos, have a script — no one can speak extemporaneously for 10, 20, or 30 minutes. The frame is two-thirds empty and one-third you — don’t center yourself in the frame and be intentional about your background. Watch yourself — or have a friend watch you and work on reducing your ticks (tugging your shirt, fixing your hair); they can become distracting for viewers. Subtitle your videos — it might make the difference between someone watching or not. Understand your objective — What do you want people to do after watching your video? The Bay Area has one of the most dense, and complex airspaces in the United States. Pilots need to be competent to fly in these high density environments for the safety of themselves, their passengers, and other pilots around them. Hayward Airport, located beneath the San Francisco Class Bravo, and the Oakland Class Charlie, has challenges for both pilots and controllers. It’s crucial that pilots understand and comply with ATC instructions while flying at Hayward.San Carlos Flight Center invites Michael Osburn, an Air Traffic Controller at Hayward Executive Tower to discuss how pilots can better understand local procedures and ATC instructions. Michael will provide a big picture view of air traffic in the Bay Area, what ATC see’s of pilots and airplanes on their radar, then narrowing down to how that flow affects Hayward and their daily operations. After, Michael will delve into Hayward Noise Abatement Procedures, and its relevance to different airspaces, while also keeping emphasis on the importance of pilot understanding of ATC instructions. He will also relay how failure to understand ATC instructions can result in incorrect readbacks, runway incursions, and even larger incidents. With Michael being an Air Traffic Controller for over 17 years, he has gained his fair share of experiences dealing with pilots from all different ratings and backgrounds. He will share many resources with the audience, and will be open to any questions about Hayward Operations or ATC Interaction in general. If you want to learn more about how you can become a safer, and more efficient pilot, you won’t want to miss this seminar.
Welcome back to episode 40 of the Third Sub Podcast! In this episode, Alex and Sam are back, as usual, this time joined by Michael Singh of Waking the Red, the SBNation blog covering all things Toronto FC, Canadian Premier League and Canadian National Teams. With Michael, they look at a bunch of Toronto FC related topics, including TFC's recent unbeaten streak, what went wrong in the loss that broke the streak against the Montreal Impact, learn the best way how to beat this TFC team and much more. After that, they look at some of the individual standouts on Toronto, such as Alejandro Pozuelo, Jonathan Osorio, Michael Bradley, Pablo Piatti and Jozy Altidore, and look at how they've meshed so far as a quintet since getting their first minutes together at the start of phase 1 of the MLS return. To round off the chat with Michael, they chat about the upcoming 'Caps vs TFC clash this weekend, and hear Michael's thoughts on the game, the importance of it for Canadian Championship and MLS purposes, before rounding off with his prediction, which based on the recent 2 'Caps losses to TFC at BMO Field, is understandably in Toronto's favour. For the last 20 minutes, Alex and Sam round-off the episode by giving some final remarks on their chat with Michael, before giving some predictions of their own, with Alex going into a bit of a prognostic more similar to Michael's, while Sam leans into the chaos a bit, prompting a bet from Alex. You can find Michael on twitter @MichaelSingh94, and in writing at Waking the Red, where he does all sorts of Toronto FC pieces, and is part of a weekly Waking the Red Podcast.

Michael first starred in Cloud 9's hit series 'The Legend of William Tell' before appearing as the iconic character Jack in all 5 seasons of The Tribe. In addition, Michael also played the lead role of Giles Gordon in Cloud 9's wacky cult spoof comedy melodrama, 'Atlantis High'. With Michael at home during New Zealand's COVID-19 lockdown - and Ray indoors (in Australia) during the impact of Coronavirus there - the two discuss all manner of things, recorded 'together at home'. The Tribe is of course a drama set against a world that has been affected by a global virus pandemic, leaving the young survivors, teenagers and children who are left behind to build a new world, in a world without adults. It is hoped this new interview (and the podcast series) can bring entertainment, possibly even comfort as well as a refuge for so many who are in isolation in these challenging times. It is also the 20th year anniversary of The Tribe - and how amazing that many of the elements and themes issues in the series are now resonating in the state of the real world in 2020. For more new interviews with other members of The Tribe cast check out and subscribe to The Tribe's Official Podcast which can be heard as an audio only version on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and other leading podcast providers. As well as YouTube, episodes of The Tribe (and Cloud 9's other series like The Legend of William Tell and Atlantis High) can now be watched on Amazon Prime in the USA and UK, Tubi, Pluto.TV, Vudu and in high quality in many countries on Cloud 9's Vimeo channel https://vimeo.com/cloud9screenent/vod_pages/page:3/sort:date with more ways to watch we hope coming soon. If you enjoyed ‘Now’ Ep 13 with Susan Thorton – and I am sure you did - I expect you equally will enjoy this podcast with Michael Swaine. Michael was central to the preparation and publication of ‘China is not an Enemy’, the Open Letter in the Washington Post (WP) by Michael, Susan and their colleagues Taylor Fravel, J. Stapleton Roy and Ezra Vogel. With Michael we not only explore the reasons for this Open Letter but look at the various publications and views out of Washington that this Open Letter takes on. Michael responds to views expressed by WPs John Pomfret, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and Kurt Campbell and Jake Sullivan, former officials of the Obama Administration that declared ‘engagement’ with China ‘dead’. Michael Swaine is a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and a prominent American analyst in Chinese security studies. Formerly a senior policy analyst at the RAND Corporation, Swaine is a specialist in Chinese defense and foreign policy, US-China relations, and East Asian international relations. He has authored and edited more than a dozen books and monographs and many journal articles and book chapters on US-China relations.
With Michael on assignment at Starrcast, and after the silliness that ensued on the first attempt to do a Tony Schiavone episode, Dylan and Damian sit down to go over Tony's career again, share some more stories, and discuss the greatness that is Tony Schiavone
With Michael having recently left the show, we thought it would be great to do a throwback episode and showcase one of the more iconic topics that Michael brought in for the lads. Things get trippy as Mike asks the guys to consider whether they're living inside of a simulation and whether artificial intelligence will supersede human brainpower within our generation. Conrad also chimes in with some talk on eulogies and how to reflect on your own achievements as a motivation tool. It's not as depressing at it sounds.

Air Date May 22, 1995. In the two-hour, nail-biting, cliff-hanging season final, Brooke and Billy announce their wedding plans to everyone. In Hong Kong, when Alison hears about their engagement and about the job Hayley Armstrong offered her, Alison finally realizes that Brooke had set her up to keep her away from Billy. Alison then quits her job, flies back to L.A., and after unsuccessfully trying to stop the wedding, she starts drinking again. Jake returns from the hospital and is not pleased to find Jess running his bar in which he fires Jess, who in an unconvincing tone, denies anything to do with the punks who shot Jake. Jo gives Jess a job at a construction site, but soon begins to see his possessive side of him. When Jane's business is foreclosed, she uses aggressive methods to gain a new investor, Richard Hart, and falls in love with him. But Richard's estranged wife, Mackenzie, doesn't approve of Jane's meddling in their business. With Michael still in jail, he recruits Sydney to follow Kimberly to find evidence that she framed him for beating her, while at the same time, Kimberly is haunted by a mysterious phantom she identifies as 'Henry' who tells her that she must kill all of her enemies. In a surprising twist, Dr. Peter Burns returns, just released from prison, and helps Michael with his legal troubles in exchange for Michael to help Peter keep his medical license from a review board. Meanwhile, Matt and Paul's renewed relationship takes a shocking turn when Matt gets arrested after Paul's wife is found murdered. But when Paul appears and identifies Matt as being the killer, Matt realizes (way too late) that Paul had been setting him up as the fall guy for his wife's murder this entire time! After Jo turns down Jess' marriage proposal, he beats her savagely, which leads to a major fistfight between Jess and Jake atop the roof of a three-story construction site, which ends when both of them fall off... When Peter romances and tricks Kimberly into helping him get back his medical license, she goes over the deep end and, in a berserk rage, she abducts Sydney when she finds her following her, and rigs large incendiary bombs to destroy the Melrose apartment complex and everyone in it... once and for all! In early 2014, we started a podcast called Flipping Tables. Every week we released a new episode through sickness, blizzards, and whatever else life sent our way. After nearly a year of non-stop episodes, we realized this was no longer just a hobby, but something we wanted to grow beyond one show. With Michael's killer designs and Lyons hacking away in vim we built a sleek website and launched Sunrise Robot as a whole network of shows for technologists, gamers, artists and cultural enthusiasts.
