Find Transform Masonry Group Inc at TMasonG.com and @TransformMasonryGroup. Reach out at Luke.TMG@hotmail.com. Rules, compliance, regulations - these are all super critical things! We use tools that require high safety standards, we have to meet compliance and regulations at all times - not just for governmental issues, but actually if we don't - we're risking our own employees. Every tool requires a different kind of training and understanding of how to operate it safely, every rule needs to be fully understood, who's qualified to do certain jobs and who's not, hazard reports - all these are important things we managers must take care of to keep safety high at all times!! Now, getting it done is way harder than talking about it, but luckily there is a platform I've found that can help out with everything I just mentioned!A great software called Connecteam - which has training and quizzes that you can build in any way you'd like to make sure your employees always know how to handle certain tools, you can see who's done a certain course of quiz, who didn't complete it and can't work with a certain tool until they do. You also have the ability for an update if there's a new regulation you need everybody to be aware of ASAP - and also an easy overview screen to see who saw it. Plus, their schedule allows you to add limitations for certain jobs, so if one of your employees is not qualified to do a certain job, the system will automatically notify you about it. The platform offers a lot more - such as easy access to playbooks, or hazard reports - just check them out for yourself. Any business, especially construction, requires us to know what's going on at all times. But, how can we be in the high level of things and not the bits and bites, in order to be able to actually also have the time to build the business and take it forward? Because, see, whether we want it or not - we find ourselves dealing with the bits and bites - if we don't have the right tool to operate our business. And by that I mean - if we are doing things manually instead of digitally. Now, I'm not talking about making sheets on excel or just texting instead of calling - I'm talking about whole new levels of doing things digitally - from knowing our employees clocked in at the right place and time, knowing our employees know the job they need to do, knowing what's going on in the filed by receiving live forms or checklists - these all can be and should be done digitally! Not to mention your younger employees who work and live digitally, and expect to get that in their workplace as well. Justin Sherry of Justin Sherry Design Studio joins us to talk about designing homes and lowering expectations. We discuss a variety of housing elements, maintenance-free homes, upset with sustainability, pre-fab future, and dealing with college of Google clients. Find out how pizzazz is ruining design on this episode of The Construction Life Podcast. This show is brought to you by Connecteam Any business, especially construction, requires us to know what's going on at all times.
I had the pleasure today to talk with Charlotte Amelia on ScaleUp Radio. Charlotte is the co founder of Dazzle and fIzz and they are an entertainment event organiser but with a big difference and you'll really hear that as you listen to Charlotte. She reached her first million within about five years and she's now got 17 full time employees and 25 part time. Her first international event was for the Dubai royal family with ice sculptures in the desert. And she's managed to secure two rounds of investment from VC and from angels and will be looking for more. Charlotte has also managed to challenge and overcome some of the perceptions around two women founders, in an industry that is sometimes perceived as a little bit of a cottage industry. She clearly had to stand out and really make her case for funding and she gives a lot of great advice on how you might go about doing that. Carlotte is also very clear on why she is building the business. So listen out for her reasons around that. And also some neat thinking around intellectual property around licencing, also thoughts around becoming a preferred supplier with your target groups in Charlotte's case five star hotels. So lots of really good things here. All sorts of areas covered. In the beginning we talk a bit about the cash side of things and if you'd like to level up your thinking on your cash habits, then why not take our ScoreApp - the link is here - https://kevin-qrtokieu.scoreapp.com - and will only take you a few minutes and might give you some really useful ideas. As the world continues to move away from a traditional office environment and toward a hybrid model or deskless/on-demand formats, employers need to find new ways to train and optimize their workforce to foster long-term engagement, motivation, and retention. In this HRchat episode, we look at this shift and consider tech that can deliver better business results by helping non-desk workers stay informed, connected, and engaged at work. Bill's guests this time are Amir Nehemia, CEO & Co-Founder and Yuval Magid, Chief Operating Officer at Connecteam, an all-in-one app for deskless workers.Questions Include:What are some of the most common misconceptions about the deskless workforce? What are some of the challenges facing leaders and HR when it comes to managing and, engaging with, non-desk workers? How does it differ to managing and connecting with desk-based workers?Let's continue to focus on where HR fits in. What data do HR leaders specifically need access to in order to improve their decision-making - on what is and what isn't working on the frontlines of their organization? How does Connecteam help to improve communication and decision-making with employee-centric datasets and indicators for performance at an organizational level?Traditionally, little of the $300 billion that is spent on business software each year has gone to deskless workers. How have they been left behind when it comes to modern work technology? Many deskless worker industries have some of the highest turnover rates. For example, supermarkets and quick-service restaurant workers have 100% turnover each year. How can technology like yours play a role in increasing retention, as well as getting new hires up the productivity curve? What are some of the benefits of deploying an app for deskless workers? Do you have any examples of the impact your customers have seen after deploying Connecteam? How can HR leaders leverage tech such as yours to enable deskless employees to perform at their best and achieve tangible results? We do our best to ensure editorial objectivity. The views and ideas shared by our guests and sponsors are entirely independent of The HR Gazette, HRchat Podcast, and Iceni Media Inc.
