With all this talk about Teresa's upcoming reconciliation with Joe and Melissa Gorga, it is time to take a moment out and ask how this make up will affect Margaret Josephs, how do Marge and Dolo feel about this reconciliation and even if Tre and Mel reconcile, how could an RHONJ exist with all 4 of the above mentioned Housewives. Teresa seems to have a fall back plan, if her fake reconciliation tour does not work and, in a move no one saw coming, it involves prison. Of course, inserting ourselves right in the middle of this three ring circus dog and pony show, we offer some advice, albeit unsolicited, to Tre and Mel that we suggest they listen to very, very closely. Last, but not least, to lighten the mood, a RHOSLC recap to end all recaps in what is still one brilliant, this is how it is done, master class of a season. Bravo, no pun intended. @behindvelvetrope @davidyontef Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

What does it take to build a world that feels as authentic as the people it represents? On The Lowdown, that meant storytelling rooted in place — and departments working in harmony. This week on Below the Line, Skid welcomes Makeup Department Head Sharon Tabb and Production Designer Brandon Tonner-Connolly, who reunite after three seasons of Reservation Dogs to discuss their latest collaboration with creator Sterlin Harjo on the FX series The Lowdown, starring Ethan Hawke. The discussion covers: Continuing the collaborative spirit from Reservation Dogs — and how Sterlin Harjo's leadership fosters creativity and respect across the crew Finding shared visual language between makeup and production design — creating a lived-in aesthetic that balances grit, texture, and humanity Designing the show's Tulsa block from the ground up, building interconnected sets like Hoot Owl Books, Sweet Emily's Diner, and nearby stores into one functioning neighborhood Layering authenticity through local artists and real community involvement, from murals and set dressing to tattoo design Bringing lived experience into the work — honoring real figures like journalist Lee Roy Chapman while telling a fictionalized story of truth-seekers and corruption Sharon's approach to Ethan Hawke's tattoos and makeup continuity, balancing realism with subtle symbolism — and a few Easter eggs for sharp-eyed viewers Brandon's creation of Sweet Emily's Diner, complete with custom wallpaper that pays tribute to Reservation Dogs in the most unexpected way Coordinating large-scale sequences like the cop party “oner” that concludes Episode Five — blending chaos, choreography, and cinematic precision Together, Sharon and Brandon reveal how every bruise, tattoo, and weathered wall becomes part of a larger visual story — one built from collaboration, trust, and craft in sync.

Womanhood Wellness is where functional medicine meets feminine wisdom—guiding you to balance hormones, awaken libido, and prepare for pregnancy with intention. Join todayWhat if chasing health and beauty ends up making us sick, anxious, and disconnected? This episode is all about choosing joy instead of fear and questioning the pressure to do everything “right,” from Botox to seed oils. That lens applies to everything, hair dye, kids' snacks, and even the bread at an Italian restaurant. We need to ask what actually serves our bodies and our stress levels. The internet is a great resource, but it has created immense confusion around wellness because for every idea you can easily find an opposition with just as much conviction. We explore that same middle ground in fertility, where IVF might make sense for some while natural approaches fit others. Of course, we always bring it home to motherhood and discuss screens, childcare, and the everyday mess of trying to balance it all without losing ourselves in the extremes. You'll Learn:[00:00] Introduction[06:09] Where the line blurs between natural beauty choices and Botox[09:08] The hidden costs of breast implants and why “safe” options aren't risk-free[10:18] How losing facial expression with Botox may impact kids and human connection[22:33] Why obsessing over toxins or food rules can harm more than help[26:11] The mindset shift that transforms health choices from fear to joy[32:56] Navigating the nuanced spectrum between fertility treatments and natural approaches[38:57] How to balance being present with your kids while still holding boundaries[41:25] The real struggles of working motherhood and why guilt shows up on both sides[51:06] Why extremes create suffering and why most wisdom lives in the middleResources Mentioned:Healthy as a Mother podcast episode on How to Handle Sibling Fights with Ralphie Jacobs | Apple or Spotify or YouTubeFind more from Dr. Leah:Dr. Leah Gordon | InstagramDr. Leah Gordon | WebsiteWomanhood Wellness | WebsiteFind more from Dr. Morgan:Dr. Morgan MacDermott | InstagramDr. Morgan MacDermott | WebsiteUse code HEALTHYMOTHER and save 15% at RedmondFor 20% off your first order at Needed, use code HEALTHYMOTHERSave $260 at Lumebox, use code HEALTHYASAMOTHER

As women, we often prioritize everyone else's health before our own—especially during pregnancy and early motherhood. But our eyes are windows to our overall well-being, and how we care for them directly impacts how we show up for our families. In this episode, I talk with Dr. Pam Theriot, an optometrist passionate about empowering women to protect and support their vision at every stage. We cover how hormonal shifts affect eye health during pregnancy, why eye dryness is so common, and how small daily habits—like hydration, clean beauty choices, blinking more, and nighttime routines—can make a big difference. Dr. Pam also shares practical tools to reduce digital eye strain, care for your eyes postpartum, and help kids develop lifelong healthy screen habits. Takeaways: Hormonal changes during pregnancy can affect vision and dryness. Clean beauty products can reduce toxin exposure near the eyes. Hydration, blinking, and warm compresses help maintain healthy tears. Postpartum eye care matters—especially with interrupted sleep. Supporting nasal breathing can improve tear production. INFO ABOUT DR. PAM THERIOT Dr. Pam Theriot is an optometrist, author and dry eye specialist based in Louisiana. With over 20 years of experience in eye care, she leads the Dry Eye Relief Center at Lusk Eye Specialists, where she helps patients find personalized, long-term solutions to chronic eye irritation. Her own journey with dry eye began early in her career, when symptoms like dryness and discomfort began affecting her ability to wear contacts, enjoy running, or even apply makeup before work. That frustration turned into a deep, professional mission: to help others feel at ease in their own eyes again. Dr. Theriot now shares her most effective tools and strategies through her book "Alleviate Dry Eye," online courses, a weekly blog and her Editor's Pick Award-Winning TEDx talk. Her work reaches people who struggle with red, irritated eyes and fluctuating vision. Dr. Theriot is on a mission to help 1 million people learn to care for their eyes as routinely as they care for their teeth by building simple everyday habits. DR. Welcome to another episode of Death Don't Do Fiction, the AIPT Movies podcast! The podcast about the enduring legacy of our favorite movies! It's October, so that means it's time for our “Shocktober” series, where we cover movies that go bump in the night! In this week's episode, Alex, Tim, and returning guest Tony Sedani discuss Tom Savini's overlooked 1990 remake of the George Romero classic, Night of the Living Dead!A quick pace! Mild undead nudity! Shocking neck violence! A door you can punch through! A female lead who transitions from damsel in distress to legitimate action hero! Fantastic makeup effects and memorable zombie designs, including one that's twisted up like a pretzel! A great "one awful night in a single location" movie! No real explanation for the horrors that ensue! Social commentary on division and class war! Good ol' boys toying with zombies! Feelings of hopelessness! An impossible Candyman reference! A cast that includes the legendary Tony Todd, Laura Dern's stunt double from Jurassic Park, Patricia Tallman, the writer of The Gingerdead Man, William Butler, an unrecognizable Bill Moseley, and Tom Towles as the worst dude ever! While it may live in the shadow of the 1968 original, it's one of the better remakes and some people's preferred version of Night of the Living Dead! In addition, Alex talks about his favorite movies from Fantastic Fest 2025, including the Iko Uwais-produced martial arts extravaganza Ikatan Darah, Johannes Roberts' monkey-gone-mad creature feature Primate, Justin Long's unique take on corrupt cops in Los Angeles, Night Patrol, Steve Kostanki's Deathstalker, V/H/S/Halloween, the shark thriller Beast of War, and Curry Barker's oddly funny cautionary horror tale, Obsession! Finally, Tony shares his spoiler-free thoughts on The Long Walk, One Battle After Another, Good Boy, and The Smashing Machine, while Alex does the same for the Shudder original Night of the Reaper, and the realization of a plumber's worst nightmare, Scared Shitless! You can find Death Don't Do Fiction on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Recorded while hiking through Northern Michigan this past Patreon episode is pure family chaos and nostalgia. Chalene and Bret swap stories about wakeboarding delays, indecisive dinner plans, and the perfectly unorganized rhythm of Chalene's family at Hubbard Lake. Chalene also shares how her sister met her now-husband at 12, plus the wild chapter when their family bought a ski lodge and turned it into a restaurant, complete with a sous chef who got arrested mid-shift. Between laughs, they reflect on how the environment shapes health, how Gen X freedom compares to Gen Z's screen life, and why parasocial friendships can feel so comforting. It's funny, unfiltered, and very Michigan.

As soon as Tuesday, the Trump administration is expected to announce a significant bailout package to help soybean producers and other farmers. President Donald Trump's trade policies have had an outsized impact on farmers. China, the biggest buyer of U.S. soybean exports, isn't buying any beans. It's leaving Minnesota's soybean farmers in a lurch. Ed Usset is a grain market economist for University of Minnesota Extension. He joined MPR News host Nina Moini to explain why soybean farmers need government assistance and the potential impact of that federal aid.
In the late 80s and early 90s, makeup artist Bobbi Brown made a name for herself by pioneering a more natural look long before it became the dominant trend. She eventually turned her side hustle selling lipstick out of her house in suburban New Jersey into a billion-dollar eponymous makeup brand that changed the beauty industry. But her unceremonious exit from parent company Esteé Lauder, with approximately four years left on a 25-year noncompete clause, stripped her of the company she had built over decades and sidelined her from the industry. Now in her 60s, Brown has started over with a new makeup line called Jones Road, and she's telling her story in a memoir, “Still Bobbi: A Master Class in Resilience and Reinvention.” Kara and Brown talk about how she changed the makeup industry and founded a second successful company, plus where she sees the beauty industry headed in the era of influencers and social media.
