A controversial memorandum of understanding with Iran and a sudden executive freeze on a top national security nominee have intensified debate over the direction of American foreign policy and governance. Fox News Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram joins to discuss the growing Republican backlash against the administration's Middle East strategy, the internal mathematical reality facing the "Save America Act" in the Senate, and how Capitol Hill is grappling with the future deployment of artificial intelligence in American classrooms. Plus, former Vice President Mike Pence joins to discuss his new book, What Conservatives Believe: Rediscovering the Conservative Conscience, detailing his concerns over modern appeasement, why he believes the Republican Party must reject the "siren song" of populism, and how the conservative movement can reclaim its core principles heading into the 2026 elections. This week, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the US and Iran was signed by President Donald Trump after the G7 wrapped up at the Palace of Versailles. The agreement implements a 60-day ceasefire and creates a framework for further negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions and other outstanding issues. As more details emerged about the plan during the week, critics on both sides of the aisle accused the Trump administration of "appeasement" and giving Iran too much. One of those critics was a key member of the first Trump administration: former Vice President Mike Pence. The former Vice President joined the FOX News Rundown's host Dave Anthony just hours before the President put his signature on the MOU to discuss his concerns about it. While he praised the President's efforts to weaken the regime, he is worried that this deal gives Tehran the feeling that they were not defeated. Pence, who also wrote the new book, What Conservatives Believe: Rediscovering the Conservative Conscience, voiced his concerns about some in the Republican party who are straying away from the party's core values. Finally, Pence discussed the possibility of running for President in 2028. We often must cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full interview today on The Fox News Rundown: Extra. Learn more about your ad choices. It was a split-screen American day. In New York, two million people packed the Canyon of Heroes for a Knicks parade that felt closer to VE Day than a basketball celebration — kids out of school, FDNY Ladder 10 in the crowd, fans flying in from Sydney. In Washington and overseas, the president was busy selling an Iran deal that even Mike Pence and Nikki Haley are calling a loss. Ballistic missiles intact. Regime intact. Strait of Hormuz still under their thumb. Thirteen dead Americans still unaccounted for in the moral math. Paul Rieckhoff calls it what it is — a sucking chest wound for our military posture and our economy, dressed up as diplomacy. From there the conversation widens with Dr. Nazi Monyan and Princeton's Dr. Lauren Wright into the machinery underneath: a Fed signaling rate hikes while the president pretends he loves inflation, a blown-up DNI nomination, a Georgia split decision, and a primary system rigged so tightly that the extremes pick the nominees while 45% of the country watches from outside the tent. New polling confirms what the Angry Middle has felt for years — people are leaving both parties in numbers that should terrify every party boss in America. This is the no-BS briefing on why joy and fury can live on the same block, on the same day, in the same country. -WATCH full video of this episode here. -Visit Kalshi and trade on anything. It's Hump Day on The Majority Report On today's program: JD Vance talks to Megyn Kelly why the whole Memorandum of Understanding has not been released, citing certain cultural sensitivities in the region without explaining what that means. The war hawks are not happy with the leaked sections of the Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. and Iran. Former Vice President Mike Pence says on CNN that the preliminary language "smacks of appeasement". Brian Kilmeade on Fox & Friends shares the same sentiment as Pence but he refuses to criticize the president, insisting to his audience that this is Vance's deal. Dylan Gyauch-Lewis, senior researcher at the Revolving Door Project, joins to talk about her piece in The American Prospect: "New Documents Detail Nine-Figure, Silicon Valley–Funded Abundance Movement." Gil Duran, publisher of the Nerd Reich newsletter, joins to discuss John O'Farrell a former partner at Andreessen Horowitz who recently quit the VC firm over their prioritizing of AI hype over the common good. In the Fun Half: As Trump's facilities sunset he is having a hard time keeping his inside thoughts inside. At the G7 conference in France, the president couldn't stop talking about world leaders in an erotic fashion. Trump swooned over India's PM Modi's stunning beauty and recounted the time he met Egyptian president el-Sisi in a hotel and fell deeply in love. Trump post another screed to Truth Social, announcing the cancelation of Jay Clayton's U.S Attorney nomination hearing today and the Bill Pulte will remain acting head of DNI. Trump's nominee to head the Office of Management and Budget, Hal Duncan, recites the script and refuses to admit that Joe Biden won the 2020 election but of course freely acknowledges that Trump won the 2024 election. The GOP primary winner for senate in Georgia, Mike Collins, kicks off his campaign by attacking incumbent Sen. Jon Ossoff for voting in support of trans rights, much to the ambivalence of the small audience. DSA backed candidate for mayor of Washington D.C., Janeese Lewis George appears to be headed for victory in the democratic primary. On June 11, Trump threatened to have a federal takeover of D.C. is she wins and evidentially that was the best thing to happen to George's campaign. All that and more. Today's Headlines: Kash Patel allegedly authorized a taxpayer-funded slush fund to pay loyal FBI agents roughly $40,000 each — over a million dollars total — which Democratic congressman Jamie Raskin described as either corrupt cash payments to friends or hush money for agents who witnessed his drinking, and separately, Patel blew the cover of a sealed ongoing investigation by tweeting that the FBI foiled a plot to attack the UFC fight before anyone was supposed to know about it, which the Secret Service was furious about. The plot itself involved five American citizens arrested across four states who planned a drone and gun attack on the White House cage match, motivated by hatred of "capitalist elites" and AIPAC donors. On the corruption beat, Trump's family crypto firm World Liberty Financial is reportedly about to receive a federal banking charter, creating a perfectly smooth legal route for anyone who wants to pay the president directly. Meanwhile, a study from Mike Pence's own think tank found that Trump's tariffs eliminated a million jobs and that 90% of the $265 billion in tariff revenue was paid by American importers rather than foreign countries, which is exactly what economists said would happen. At the G7 in France, Trump still won't reveal the actual terms of the Iran agreement, announced the US would pull some troops out of Europe after European leaders condemned the Iran war, and displayed some concerning physical symptoms that everyone was too polite to mention. Trump's attacking Iran, but turned on the President over terms of the settlement. After bold action, growing distrust as the Iran war concludes. Plus, all the morning's biggest news stories
Just weeks after threatening Iran with devastating consequences, President Trump is preparing to sign a new agreement with Tehran - a dramatic shift that is raising questions across Washington, Jerusalem and the wider Middle East. The proposed deal would see US and Iranian officials continue negotiations over Tehran's nuclear programme, despite concerns from critics that many of the key issues which sparked the conflict remain unresolved. Meanwhile, tensions are growing between the White House and Israel, with reports that Israeli officials were not involved in the negotiations despite the agreement's potential implications for the conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon. Trump's increasingly critical rhetoric towards Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has only fuelled speculation about a widening rift between the two allies. As the agreement divides both Trump's supporters and his critics, scrutiny is mounting over whether the deal represents a diplomatic breakthrough - or a major concession to Iran. Piers Morgan is joined by General Mark Kimmitt, US Army veteran and Assistant Secretary of State, Lieutenant Colonel Chuck De Vore, former US Army intelligence officer, Hagar Chemali, foreign policy analyst and former Bush and Biden official, Cenk Uygur, founder and CEO of The Young Turks, and Brian Tyler-Cohen, host of No Lie to discuss. This week we bring you a conversation between Eric Cohen, president and CEO of Tikvah, and the former vice-president of the United States, Mike Pence. The conversation was recorded before a live audience at the Fund for American Studies, and we are grateful to our friends at TFAS for the invitation and for the work they do: forming young leaders in the principles of individual liberty, free markets, and honorable leadership, and sending them out to advance the cause of a free society in their communities and around the world. The conversation opens where so much American reflection on these questions begins, with George Washington's letters to the Jews of Newport and Savannah—the promise of religious liberty on the one hand, and the vision of America as a providential, almost-chosen nation on the other. Those two ideas do not sit together easily, and Cohen and the vice-president think together about what they mean and how they relate: the biblical sources of the founding, the place of Scripture in American education, the case for school choice and the renewal of the universities, and the meaning of federalism in the conservative project. At the heart of this conversation is a fascinating discussion about American expressions of Christianity. Cohen, speaking as a religious Jew, believes that the strengthening of American Christianity is the surest hope for American renewal, and he also warns that a strain of anti-Semitism now gathering strength on the political right would turn that Christianity to perverse ends. To these comments Vice-President Pence adds his reflections about religious culture, and together, Cohen and Pence arrive at a description of a Hebraic Christianity and a Hebraic America—a country that understands the Hebrew Bible not as an atavistic relic, but as the foundation it has in fact always been. This was one of our most listened-to conversations of the past year. If you missed it the first time, here's your second chance. She moderated the fly debate. She interviewed Stephen Hawking. She covered 12 presidential campaigns and sat down with the last 10 presidents. And she spent years inside Queen Elizabeth's extraordinary vantage point on American democracy — one that no American journalist could ever fully replicate. Two minutes. Real impact. Leave a review: lovethepodcast.com/politicsandreligion Susan Page, Washington Bureau Chief of USA TODAY, joins Corey to discuss her latest book, The Queen and Her Presidents: a sweeping account of Queen Elizabeth II's relationships with every American president from Truman to Biden. But this conversation goes well beyond the book. Susan reflects on a career that began in a converted car dealership on Long Island, the lessons she learned covering her first president (and how badly she blew it), what it really takes to develop sources across decades of political reporting, and why — from a Kansas girl's perspective — the people on both sides of our divide love America more than we give them credit for. Calls to Action ✅ If this conversation resonates, consider sharing it with someone who believes connection across difference still matters. ✅ Subscribe to Corey's Substack: coreysnathan.substack.com ✅ Leave a review on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen: lovethepodcast.com/politicsandreligion ✅ Subscribe to Talkin' Politics & Religion Without Killin' Each Other on your favorite podcast platform. ✅ Watch the full conversation and subscribe on YouTube: youtube.com/@politicsandreligion Key Takeaways Preparation is a framework, not a script. Susan goes into every major interview with a plan — what she wants to get, how to get it, what to do if the answer goes sideways. But the goal is to inform the conversation, not control it. The worst thing an interviewer can do, she says, is fail to listen to the answer. Great sourcing is built on respect and fairness, not on pulling punches. Rich Bond, the young Long Island operative she profiled in 1979, became a top Republican official and a reliable source for decades — not because she went easy on him, but because he trusted her to be fair. She would not have softened a story about him, and he knew it. Books and daily journalism use the same muscle, differently. The skills transfer directly — the sourcing, the curiosity, the nose for a good detail — but the bar is higher and the time horizon is longer. Writing a book means people are paying thirty dollars and spending real time. You owe them something they couldn't get from clicking a link. The best research rewards patience. Sifting through archival files at eight presidential libraries and the National Archives in Britain yielded moments that almost nobody else has read. The sarcastic cables British ambassadors sent back about LBJ as vice president confirmed everything LBJ already suspected they thought of him. They love America. Whether she's at a No Kings rally or a MAGA rally, Susan hears the same thing: people who care deeply, who revere the Constitution, who think they're fighting for the country. The polarization isn't about love of country — it's about a failure to extend basic respect across the divide. Queen Elizabeth perfected the art of getting people to talk. Her small talk strategy — chatter briefly, then turn the question back — was especially effective with men, who, as Susan notes diplomatically, tend to enjoy talking about themselves. Susan has consciously adopted the technique and credits it with making her better at navigating rooms full of strangers. About Our Guest Susan Page is the Washington Bureau Chief of USA TODAY and one of the most respected political journalists in America. Dryden Pence turns his focus to the hyperscalers and their ability to drive profits as the AI trade evolves. In Alphabet (GOOGL), Dryden says he likes to see its investment "toward the future" that will capture "dominant" pieces of the market. Meta Platforms (META) shares continue to move below $600 as it expands AI capabilities, with Dryden saying the Mag 7 company is "behind" on developments. He adds that Microsoft (MSFT) is tied so closely to so many businesses that its growth is "embedded."======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Subscribe to the Market Minute newsletter - https://schwabnetwork.com/subscribeDownload the iOS app - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/schwab-network/id1460719185Download the Amazon Fire Tv App - https://www.amazon.com/TD-Ameritrade-Network/dp/B07KRD76C7Watch on Sling - https://watch.sling.com/1/asset/191928615bd8d47686f94682aefaa007/watchWatch on Vizio - https://www.vizio.com/en/watchfreeplus-exploreWatch on DistroTV - https://www.distro.tv/live/schwab-network/Follow us on X – https://twitter.com/schwabnetworkFollow us on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/schwabnetworkFollow us on LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/schwab-network/ About Schwab Network - https://schwabnetwork.com/about

On Friday's Mark Levin Show, there is grave concerns over the ongoing war with the Islamist Nazi enemy regime in Iran, which is making increasing demands including billions in aid that should not be provided in any form, as it would only rebuild their terrorist apparatus rather than help the people. The prolonged ceasefire is a mistake after an initially successful campaign. We should have 2 weeks of massive strikes on IRGC targets and arm the Iranian people. Also, the Lebanese president, Joseph Aoun, noted that Lebanon's official government and army are separate from the far more powerful Hezbollah, effectively creating two parallel governments and militaries. Now, amid Hezbollah's ongoing rocket fire (including during a ceasefire), Israel has re-entered to eliminate the threat permanently, focusing on Hezbollah's main base near Beirut. Aoun instructed defensive fighting only, avoiding Beirut. Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed Israel's sovereignty in protecting itself, rejecting any constraints. Later, Rep Byron Donalds calls in and reveals a direct death threat posted on social media, where someone stated they were going to kill him. While politics involves strong opinions, demonizing opponents as non-human erodes civility and can incite violence. The incident strengthened Donalds' resolve to pursue Florida's governorship and preserve the state as a conservative leader. Finally, former VP Mike Pence calls in to discuss his new book – What Conservatives Believe: Rediscovering the Conservative Conscience. Pence emphasizes that the Declaration of Independence's assertion that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness forms the core conservative principle that rights come from God, underpinning limited government. Pence notes the First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion, not from it, allowing belief according to conscience. https://www.amazon.com/What-Conservatives-Believe-Rediscovering-Conservative/dp/1546011633/ref=sr_1_1?crid Learn more about your ad choices. I examine the soul of MAGA—what MAGA really means—by refuting two schools of thought, the Never Trumpers and the anti-Trump Right. Trump sued the IRS for $10 billion over an unlawful tax return disclosure, a lawsuit that was time-barred, improperly pleaded under the statute, and lacked any adversity between the parties since Trump controlled the very agencies he was suing. Todd Blanche and the DOJ mounted zero defense, then quietly settled for $1.776 billion in taxpayer money, including a sweeping addendum that would have permanently shielded Trump, his family, his businesses, and his associates from any future federal investigation. On May 27th, a group of 35 former federal judges, represented by ethics attorney Norm Eisen, filed a motion alleging the settlement was a product of collusion and a fraud on the court. By May 29th, a federal judge had reopened the case. By Friday night, the Wall Street Journal reported the White House was scrambling. By Monday, it was dead. Trump has until June 12th to respond to the court's order. Republican senators, Mike Pence, and now the federal judiciary all lined up against it. This week on Face the Nation, the diplomatic dance between the US and Iran continues as Ukraine makes an impassioned plea for more help from the US. We spoke exclusively with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who issued a warning. and made an urgent request for anti-ballistic missile weaponry from the US, whose supply is already stretched thin by with the war with Iran. Back home, as midterm match ups prepare for their November contests, does character count anymore when it comes to politics? We talk with former Vice President Mike Pence as well as Connecticut Democratic Senator Chris Murphy, they both have new books out and they both have thoughts on the future of their respective political parties. Scott Bessent, Pete Hegseth, James Talarico, Mike Pence, and the Delaney Hall ICE protests headline today's A.M. Update. Trump's cabinet meeting covers Iran negotiations, Scott Bessent calling ongoing price increases transitory and projecting 4.3% GDP growth this quarter, Marco Rubio's update on the Venezuela three-step plan, and Pete Hegseth revealing that at Trump's personal directive the U.S. hunted and killed Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, ISIS's number two in Nigeria and the most active terrorist in the world, along with hundreds of other ISIS fighters who were slaughtering Nigerian Christians. James Talarico goes on CBS and calls his own "God is non-binary" comment cringy while still trying to defend it, and Aaron takes apart his attempted Pauline justification piece by piece. Federal agents deploy pepper spray and batons against anti-ICE protesters blockading the Delaney Hall detention facility in Newark, including a viral moment where the crowd cheers two brown-skinned men walking out before realizing they are ICE agents. Mike Pence crawls out of his spider hole to complain about mean politics, and Aaron reads John Adams calling Alexander Hamilton a bastard to make his point. Aaron closes with new research showing 75% of consumers including 79% of parents support adults-only dining options, set against the backdrop of the ongoing Christian slaughter in Nigeria, and a challenge to put it all in proper perspective.
