Walking the land teaches us who we are and what becomes possible when we return to the Earth as a teacher rather than something to own.    Reconnecting with the land releases our overwhelm, softens mental noise, awakens our animal nature, and restores the deep belonging that lives in all of us.    Nature instantly soothes the nervous system because our species evolved in partnership with the Earth. Together, we remember the medicine of slowness, presence, interconnectedness, and the ancient truth that life loves you and the land is always waiting for you to come home.   Topics   Relearning how to partner with the land The difference between owning land and being in relationship with it How nature restores your nervous system Remembering our animal nature and interconnectedness Why spiritual seekers must return to their bodies and the earth Simple ways to reconnect with the land daily   I love you!   Xoxo, Sarah Helpful Links:   Join us in THE JOURNEY Our mentorship portal https://sarahnoble.com/journey/   Subscribe to our Substack for exclusive teachings and content.  https://snoble.substack.com/   The Devotion Codes is a FREE transmission that guides you out of the cycle of self-discipline and self-control, and into the loving embrace of self-devotion. In between stimulus and response, there is a space. There is a space to be found in between our thoughts. There is a space between inhale and exhale. We call this place The Gap. The gap is where we feel present and aware. Not thinking, not worrying, just absorbing and observing, just living in that space of pure conscious awareness. This meditation aims to help the meditator find their way into that space through practice of breath.

In this episode we talk about: What the term "non-duality" means — and why it matters to ordinary meditators. The multiple meanings of non-duality across Buddhist traditions (Theravāda, Mahāyāna, Vajrayāna). How different traditions (and even different teachers within them) define samsara and nirvana. The non-duality of the observer and observed — and how that insight can alleviate suffering. Whether understanding non-duality is practically relevant for reducing stress and emotional reactivity. The evolution of Buddhist teachings over time and how interpretations differ across countries. Sam's argument that the non-dual view can be directly experienced in everyday consciousness — and that realizing it ends unnecessary suffering. Joseph's emphasis on non-duality as one path among many toward the ultimate goal: the end of suffering. How metaphysics and direct experience intersect, and whether doctrinal differences are "self-confirming." The concept of "non-clinging" as the real heart of Buddhist practice — and how it relates to non-dual awareness.   Related Episodes: How To Suffer Less: Joseph Goldstein, Sam Harris, and Dan Harris on the Buddha's Eightfold Path   Join Dan's online community here Follow Dan on social: Instagram, TikTok Subscribe to our YouTube Channel   Additional Resources:  For a 30-day free trial to the Waking Up app, go to wakingup.com/tenpercent   Tickets are now on sale for a special live taping of the 10% Happier Podcast with guest Pete Holmes! In the last guest episode of the year, Katerina sits down with landscape architect and founder of Milliman Design Studio, Emily Milliman, for an inspiring conversation about creativity, entrepreneurship, and community. Emily shares how her journey into landscape architecture began with a deep love of art and design, and how she continues to weave those passions into her work today. Emily opens up about the importance of having a supportive community of solopreneurs and how networking through boards and local events has been key to building lasting client relationships. She discusses how balancing art and landscape architecture is an organic process and how the material she works with — nature itself — is living and ever-changing. The conversation also explores the realities of entrepreneurship: from diversifying income streams and maintaining transparency with clients to staying flexible and adaptable through change. Emily encourages aspiring designers to start building their personal brand early and to approach design with both short and long-term goals in mind. Read OnlineAsked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, Jesus said in reply, “The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed, and no one will announce, ‘Look, here it is,' or, ‘There it is.' For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.”  Luke 17:20–21Why did the Pharisees ask Jesus this question? Why did they want to know when the Kingdom of God would come? To answer this question, we must first look at the full context of the various communications between Jesus and the Pharisees. When we do this and see the many ways that the Pharisees attempted to trap Jesus in speech and the times in which our Lord firmly rebuked the Pharisees, it seems clear that the Pharisees did not ask Jesus this question in innocence and openness. Instead, they once again were trying to trap Him. They posed a question by which they gave the appearance of believing Jesus' teachings that the Kingdom of God was coming, but they asked not in faith but in mockery and in an attempt to trip Jesus up in His answer.Jesus' answer is mysterious. It leaves little room for the Pharisees to use Jesus' speech against Him. Perhaps the Pharisees were hoping that Jesus would say that the Kingdom was coming soon, or next month, or within the year. But Jesus' answer leaves them with confusion in the face of this mystery that “the Kingdom of God is among you.”Much of what Jesus says can only be fully understood through faith. He often speaks in veiled language intentionally, because the only way to lift the veil to perceive the meaning of His teachings is to rely upon the inspired gift of faith. Faith is like a key to unlock the secrets of the mysteries of God. Faith becomes a lens through which every parable, every figure of speech, and every mystery taught by our Lord is understood. But without this inspired gift of faith, Jesus' teachings remain mysterious and incomprehensible. When you ponder these words that “the Kingdom of God is among you,” what do you understand? Are you able to use the gift of faith to unlock the meaning of this sacred teaching? Interestingly, reading Jesus' words, spoken in a veiled way, offer us the opportunity to test our own faith. If we read these words and are left in confusion, then this is a clear sign that we need to pray for and be open to the gift of faith. But if we do read Jesus' mysterious teachings and the light of understanding is given to us, then this is a clear reason to rejoice, since this comprehension is only possible through the gift of faith.Reflect, today, upon this sacred teaching of our Lord: “The Kingdom of God is among you.” Meditate on those words and pray for insight and understanding. Jesus' words are true. His Kingdom truly is everywhere, all around us and within us. It is alive and well. Do you see it? Do you perceive it? Do you see your role in building it? Use these questions as a test of your own level of faith and know that God wants to reveal to you these mysteries that are only able to be comprehended by His grace. My mysterious Lord, Your Kingdom is everywhere, all around us and within us. I do believe. Give me the eyes of faith so that I may continually perceive Your hand at work. May I always be attentive to all that You wish to reveal to me and open to the deep meaning of the mysteries You do reveal. Increase my faith, dear Lord, so that I may know You and join in the upbuilding of Your glorious Kingdom. Episode 363: The Power of Slow as an Actor

Why Slow Is the New Secret Weapon for Actors The entertainment industry glorifies hustle. Fast auditions, faster turnarounds, constant pressure to keep up. But what if slowing down is the real secret to booking more roles and building a lasting career? In this episode of the Acting Business Bootcamp Podcast, I talk about the power of slow and why being intentional, grounded, and patient can make you not only a stronger performer but also a more fulfilled human being. The Myth of Hustle: Why Speed Doesn't Equal Success We've been conditioned to think that "busy" means "productive." But when we're rushing, we're not really seeing. We miss red flags, subtle opportunities, and the emotional details that make our performances alive and specific. Slow isn't lazy. Slow is strategic. When I slow down, I make choices instead of reacting. I create work that's clearer, more specific, and more emotionally grounded. That's what casting directors respond to. The Muscle of Choice: Choosing What's Uncomfortable but Effective I often talk about building your "muscle of choice." It's the ability to choose what's right for your growth, even when it doesn't feel comfortable. For actors, that might mean saying no to an overbooked schedule or pausing before hitting record on a self-tape. It's in those small, quiet moments of choice that confidence and intuition start to strengthen. Presence Books Acting Jobs One of the things I say all the time is, "Presence books acting jobs." When you slow your breath, your thoughts, and your body, you naturally drop into the moment. That's where truth lives. And that truth is what makes casting directors sit up and go, "Yes, that's it." Fast energy reads as anxious. Slower energy reads as confident and grounded. The actor who listens, pauses, and responds authentically will always stand out. From Reaction to Response: A Lesson in Mindful Acting Here's one of my favorite reminders: "A response is a reaction with a pause and a thought behind it." When you create that pause, your performances become more thoughtful, layered, and real. That same pause helps on the business side too. It gives you control over your energy instead of letting the industry run it for you. Slow Builds Longevity A fast-paced career burns out fast. A steady one grows stronger over time. I've been a professional actress since 1988. That's more than three decades of working in this business. What's sustained me isn't the hustle; it's learning how to pace myself, stay present, and take joy in the process. Slow isn't just good for your craft. It's how you create a sustainable, happy career. Practical Ways to Practice the Power of Slow Pause before you slate. Ground your breath and remind yourself that you're safe. Meditate regularly. It keeps your body calm and expressive. Work with intention. Do fewer things, but do them with care. Create safe spaces. Set up your self-tape and your mindset to help you feel at ease. Reflect often. Ask yourself, "Am I working hard, or am I working effectively?" Join "The Weekly Adjustment" If this episode resonated with you, come join my weekly mindset class, The Weekly Adjustment. You'll learn how to calm your thoughts, build confidence, and use the power of slow in every part of your acting life.

You can find a downloaded version of The Workbook here STEP 1: READ & NOTE The Text as the Word is the Lord Himself The Text isn't just something that the Lord flows through as the Word - it is the Lord Himself. It is a creative force, and as we engage with it, it looks to create us anew, to make us whole, and this means that our approach to reading the Text in Logopraxis differs from how we might approach reading a secular work. To engage with the Word as the Lord brings a state of mind that allows the words of the Text to speak to us in new ways, and so bypass the habitual responses we might have to reading. In Logopraxis there is an acknowledgement that the texts of Divine Revelation are specifically formed to ground the Lord's presence within us in a way that nothing else can. Therefore, pay particular attention to the areas that specifically catch your attention as you read, record specific impressions from the text, and list any initial insights or questions that your chosen reading stimulates. Reading can be a spiritual practise, and through reading with conscious attention we develop the ability to read and hear what the Word is communicating to us; and we find that as we are led by the Word the situations and circumstances of life become infused with new meaning, presenting opportunities for spiritual development. Reading as a Spiritual Practise Spend a little time centring yourself before you approach the reading for the session, and perhaps try the approaches below that can minimise the internal distractions and quiet the mind. Mindfulness: Sitting comfortably, with an upright posture, bring your attention to the breath. Breathing normally, count silently, 1 on the first inhalation, 2 on the first exhalation, then 3 on the second inhalation and 4 on the second exhalation and so on, up to 10, returning to 1 again and repeating the count up to 10 before returning to 1 once more. This exercise can very quickly facilitate a settled state of mind, drawing your attention from the external world so that it can become centred on the Lord within. Meditate on Scripture: If you choose to read a passage of Scripture with the intention of it assisting a more internal focus on the Lord, then Chapter 1 of John's Gospel might be a good choice. But there may be other scripture passages that are particularly meaningful for you that you can use. Reading as an Act of Worship Be aware that you are bringing yourself before the Lord as you approach the Text, as this will help to open up an attitude of worship. We're seeking to remain open to hearing what the Spirit has to say to His Church within us, and listening for what's reflected back to us. The ways in which our affections and thoughts respond to the Text can be subtle, or may be more pronounced, but they are often an indication of what's reaching out for us to work with. Reading with Attention Logopraxis sees the very act of reading the set Text as a spiritual exercise in conscious attention, and in this we strive to divide our attention into an observing side and an observed side, and watch our inner responses to the Text while in the act of reading. In this way we can be sensitive to how the Text is reaching out to us, and these are the indicators we take note of. Try this - Here is a simple exercise for reading with attention. The aim is to observe how the mind tends to bring us down into what is natural. Select a paragraph of the Text and start reading. Hold in mind the principle that it is describing states of mind/consciousness. When you recognise that your attention has been drawn down into the literal meaning of the words, say to yourself – “This is describing states of consciousness in me” and try to hold your attention in this idea as you read further. You are not reading for meaning here, but training your attention. Just repeat this statement every time you find you are not present to the act of reading.
