Misty Lown is a fellow Wisconsinite and a powerhouse in the dance world. She is also the mama to five kiddos and is the connector between myself and the women of Apolla; our sponsor for this season. If you want to hear from a truly inspiring woman who has followed her passion, started her own business, written a book, and raised a beautiful family, don't miss this episode! As artists we can be so misunderstood sometimes. This week, we sat down with the incredible Misty Lown to talk about how she felt misunderstood when she started her own creative business, Misty's Dance Unlimited, over 20 years ago. Since then Misty has gone on to create and own several small businesses. She shares how in each scenario she took something she was already doing and turned it into a profitable endeavor. Misty talks about how left-brained creatives are oftentimes misunderstood to not be able to do the more right-brained sides of business. When in reality it is just translating something like choreography, which is very systematic, into accounting! Misty is the author of the Amazon #1 Bestseller, One Small Yes, where she writes about keeping her sanity while raising a family of five and following her calling. In our conversation she gets vulnerable about the moment where she almost gave it all up. Tune in to hear about the next big adventure Misty is embarking on! Visit mistylown.com to learn more. This week we are celebrating one year of Pivot Ball Change! Somedays it feels like it has gone by in the blink of an eye, while other days... not so much ;) I am sharing my biggest takeaways from being in the podcasting industry so far. 1.Consistency is key. Be sure to release your podcast episodes on the same day of the week and at the same time of day every day. 2. It's okay to take a break. I took a break from releasing new episodes every Monday this summer. It was honestly the refresher I needed to come back energized for season two! 3. Don't let disappointments stop you. Stay persistent. Just because you hear no once, it doesn't mean that is the final answer. 4. Numbers matter but so does strategy. I share how I was able to monetize my podcast in a few different ways with small downloads and a quaint social media audience. 5. It's okay to go off script. Some of the best interviews I've had so far are the ones that aren't so buttoned up. 6. The pendulum swing. The highs and lows of entrepreneurship are real. These feelings are normal! 7. People want to hear your side of the story. Even if you have an interview based podcast, throw in a few solo episodes. Your audience wants to hear what you have to say, too! 8. Thinking outside the box. The key here is to create opportunities for yourself that otherwise wouldn't exist. Focus on what IS possible versus what is not. 9. Use pencil! Don't ever think things are concrete in the world of podcasting. Stay flexible and be willing to #pivotballchange ;) 10. You really can teach yourself how to do anything. I share a very personal story about my education background that I still feel insecure about at times. This week's episode is brought to you by Apolla; the world's best compression socks. Listen to episode 28 with Bri & Kaycee from Apolla. Listen to episode 22 with Emily Weber on the pendelum swing. Listen to episode 11 with my husband, Travis. When Brooke Taylor Luminelli first became a mama she tried to do it all. Brooke was trying to run her businesses and be a full-time stay at home mama as well. She quickly realized that wasn't possible. Brooke owns not one, not two, but FIVE Tutu Schools in California. She is also my childhood ballet bestie. In this week's episode Brooke shares how she went on to perform at Disney Tokyo after college and what that pivot was like. She also goes into details on how teaching ballet has become a creative outlet for her in the current phase of motherhood she is in. Have you ever thought about taking the leap from your corporate job to pursue your creative outlet full-time? Then let this week's episode with Hayley Novak of BEV BART Designs be your inspiration. Hayley is the mama of two littles who considers herself a full time stay at home working mom. She explains how her now full time gig as CEO of her own creative business started as a side hustle. Hayley also talks about how she pivoted her business from originally focusing on wedding invitations to now primarily doing digital illustrations. Making the choice to leave a “safe” corporate job is a major decision that involves your whole family. Hayley shares what it was like to have several conversations with her partner about how this dream of hers could, and did, become a reality. You too can make your creative pursuits a full time career. Tune in to learn how Hayley did just that! This week's episode is brought to you by Apolla; the world's best compression sock. Do you show your body gratitude? This week we talk with registered dietician Sammie Gollup of @anti.diet.mama about how we can shift to a more positive outlook on our own bodies. Sammie is the mama to two littles, a wife, a former collegiate rower, and is in the transition phase of pivoting from a corporate dietician job to her own private practice full-time. Sammie talks about how her and her husband set a deadline of when this change would happen and how it is going to allow her to better serve herself, her family, and her dreams. We also chat about the impact that alcohol can have on our abilities to make smart, intuitive eating decisions and how there is this “mommy wine” culture that can create a toxic cycle of drinking wine at night to relax ourselves but then being even more tired when we wake up. If you've ever had body image issues yourself and are looking for ways to help raise your own littles to not suffer from these same struggles, you're not going to want to miss this one! This week's episode is brought to you by Apolla; the world's best compression sock.
Krystle here. This week I share a very personal story about my own struggles with body image. If you are a mama that grew up in the dance world of any realm then I know you will be able to relate to several of my stories. Unfortunately body image issues started for me at the very young age of 12 but it wasn't until I was 30 years old that I reflected back on my journey and realized that it was a lot more serious than I thought. Entering the world of motherhood was also a vulnerable time for me. I share how I was worried about slipping back into my old ways of obsessing over food, calories, and weight gain. Being a professional performing artist can be so demanding both mentally and physically. If you've struggled through a similar journey with your own body image issues, then tune in! Kaycee and I sat down to discuss Apolla Socks, the science behind their products and the greater impact that they are creating in the dance community, including being our primary sponsor for this season. If you have not heard or checked out Apolla Socks you can find them at apollaperformance.com. I am a true believer in this company and their greater mission, and my feet have been a little happier since I began wearing their products back in 2017. I hope that you enjoy my conversation with Kaycee and make sure to listen until the end to find out how you may be able to score a pair of Apolla Socks!
Episode #29: Artist/Creator of Shaman Spears, Apolla Asteria. Another amazing episode of Channel Weird with Clyde Lewis from Portland, Oregon.
Recently I had the chance to sit down with Bri from Apolla Performance and professional dancer Chelsie Hightower, who you might recognize from So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars. Chelsie and I found each other when a mutual friend connected us because she knew I would resonate with the mission behind Chelsie's clothing line. Inside Out works to produce dancewear that encourages the next generation to know their worth. That mission for understanding your personal value and worth struck home for me, so I immediately wanted to connect and work with Chelsie. That brought us both to Apolla's Beyond the Steps show where Chelsie, Bri and I worked together to try and answer the question, “how do we encourage mental toughness in our dancers while still validating their feelings and emotions? It was such a good conversation I wanted to share it with you here so this is my conversation with Bri and Chelsie about encouraging mental toughness in our dancers. _____________ Mentioned in today's show: Dance Inside Out Dance Elevated Apolla Performance __________ Did you enjoy today's episode?
A vyvíjejí se i samotné konspirační teorie – ještě 20 let nazpět totiž kolem Apolla majoritně zaznívaly přesně opačné "alternativní hypotézy" vyzívající tezi vědy než dnes. Co na to vše říká protřelý demýtizátor Iluminator.cz spolu s tradičními podjednotkami JaRonem a Ladislavem? Na to si posvítíme v rekordně dlouhém streamu.
We are so excited to announce the release of this collaborative project between Larkspur, Jamie O'Neal and college dance teams around the country during this pandemic! Jamie's song The World Goes On was released at the height of Covid, and it inspired us to create beautiful movement, and to reach out and make connections with other dancers since that was a void in all of our lives due to measures taken to combat the Coronavirus. This talented Grammy nominated artist not only gave us her permission and blessing to utilize her song in this way, but she also talks to us about it and other topics on this podcast episode! Jamie O'Neal's career has been prolific as a vocalist, songwriter and producer, so I picked her brain about creativity, inspiration, and maintaining a career in the arts. She's also no stranger to the dance world, and has tremendous respect for what we do as well! See the collaborative video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viEb7avzmhw Both Larkspur and Jamie O'Neal are extending a warm and heartfelt invitation to all dancers everywhere to be a part of this collaboration! Kayla and I talk about how you can do just that in the outro of this episode! More information can be found at https://www.larkspurdance.com and https://www.larkspurdance.com/larkwp/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/TWGOWeb.pdf Jamie O'Neals links: Website https://www.jamieoneal.com Instagram https://www.instagram.com/jamieonealofficial/ YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWN4DPj7sMnGfdbhbAI4W2g Shoutout to our sponsors! Glam'r Gear: You all have heard Kayla and I go on and on about these bags! They have some really great gear that has been designed especially with the needs of dancers in mind. My team and I utilized our backpacks all summer long while teaching clinics and working on this project. There are so many pockets in all shapes and sizes, which comes in handy for sure! Glam'r Gear is offering a 5% discount on most items if you use the code LARK05! Check them out at glamrgear.com Apolla Performance: They outfitted us with some great footwear and my team absolutely loved them and use them to teach at their studios all the time. I wore a pair inside my sneakers at every clinic I taught this summer and it really helped! I belong to a choreography and dance teacher network and a teacher nearing the age of 50 was asking for help because she can't wear the tap and jazz shoes anymore that she used to be able to wear. I was going to recommend Apolla, but about 10 other members beat me to it! Apolla is offering a 5% discount until August 31st with the code LARKSPUR5. Check them out at apollaperformance.com
New York-based Apolla Echino is a natural storyteller. It's hard not to be enthralled, listening to this filmmaker speak and watching her videos for clients like lululemon, CIBC, Samsung, 23andme, and The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada. She grew up in Alberta, Canada, and spent much of her childhood moving around with her young mother. An avid surfer, sports & activity have always been in her blood, from competitive gymnastics to professional dancing. Apolla eventually settled in New York in 2007 to pursue her dancing career, before finding herself a filmmaker instead. In this episode, we discuss her childhood and parents at length, the reality of being an independent filmmaker, her solo female documentary travel series ‘A Woman's Guide to the World' where she sailed to Antarctica in a 100-year-old sail boat & winter surfed in New Zealand, a new film project centred on a transgender woman working in the Alberta oil fields, and more.
Kdo sní o velké civilizaci s tisíci novými Mozarty a Einsteiny? A čím nás ohrožuje vesmírný odpad? Bri Zborowski and Kaycee Jones knew that Apolla Performance's socks would have a major impact on the dance community, a world notorious for punishing training schedules and injuries that can start in youth dancers. And with their roots in dance, they felt comfortable launching their compression sock for the audience they knew so intimately. But at the same time, their aspirations go way beyond dance studios; in fact, they're not too shy to say that they want one million people wearing their socks by 2025. And yes, if you do the math, that means they're more than ready to expand into fitness studios, homes, airplanes, and more—because Apolla is for everyone with feet. On this episode of #WeGotGoals, Kaycee and Bri share their origin story, which begins on a family vacation to a small Florida beach town. Then, you'll hear more about prevalence of injuries in dance and how Apolla Performance socks were created specifically to address these types of injuries. Bri and Kaycee also share the resources they've been building and how they've been educating their community using Instagram Live, plus what they're doing to help support studios affected by the pandemic and the racial injustice movement in the United States. Finally, they share their big goals for the future: getting Apolla compression socks on the feet of one million people within four years, and continuing to do good for Apolla's community. Resources: Want to try Apolla socks for yourself? Use promo code ASweatLife.Com5 for 5% off your order, and don't be shy—they offer their socks risk-free, and If you don’t fall in love with them in 14-days and notice the difference, you can return them for a refund.

Apolla's last guest star appearance this season! In this episode, the heroes confront what is on the other side of a portal in Belmar's well. They might have to kiss the world they know goodbye. Short but sweet episode.

A shorter episode, Guest Player Apolla takes the Fellowship back to Belmar's Keep. Apolla, a master of chaos, plays one of the best Sucubusses ever!
The Fellowship, tricked by the glory at Belmar's Keep starts over in the wilderness of the Tusk Mountain Range. This time, Familiar Gi brings a "Hot Barbarian Female" to meet the group. She's really Curt's succubus. Get ready for a ride to the "Deep Dark... Hole"
Jestli vás povídání zaujalo, poslechněte si Michalův podcast o poslední míli, zobrazovačíchnebo antitechnickýchhnutích nebo o vizionáři Douglasu Engelbartovi a další Wolfcasty.

července 1969, 21 hodin, 17 minut a 39 sekund středoevropského času a v houstonském letovém středisku propukla vřava.
Racketová vs český řidič kamiónu) 41:14 - Nové parkovací zóny v ČB a retardéry !Disclamer!
It's been 50 years ((July 21)) since men first walked on the moon. The landing was broadcast around the world, but were it not for a number of Australians, and Australian technology, Neil Armstrong's first steps and words might not have been seen or heard at all. Slijetanje je emitirano širom svijeta, no da nije bilo velikoga broja Australaca i australske tehnologije, prve korake i prve riječi Neila Armstronga možda nikada ne bismo ni vidjeli ni čuli.
