Medicus Pharma CEO Dr Raza Bokhari joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce a major strategic move: the company has entered into a binding letter of agreement to acquire Antev Ltd., a clinical-stage biotech company. Antev is developing Teverelix, a next-generation GnRH antagonist aimed at treating cardiovascular high-risk prostate cancer patients and patients with acute urinary retention (AUR) due to enlarged prostate. Bokhari highlighted that the acquisition will significantly strengthen Medicus Pharma's drug development portfolio, positioning Teverelix as a first-in-class therapeutic to prevent AUR recurrence and address prostate cancer among patients with elevated cardiovascular risk—together representing a combined market opportunity of approximately $6 billion. Antev's program includes an FDA-approved Phase 2b study, which is designed to randomize 390 men after successfully weaning off catheterization. This is highly relevant given that 85% of the nearly one million AUR episodes annually in the U.S. occur in men over the age of 60. Roughly 30% of these patients experience a recurrent episode within six months, creating a standalone $2 billion annual market for preventive treatment. Teverelix, therefore, offers a critical and differentiated solution in a space underserved by existing therapies, with the potential to redefine standards of care for aging male populations. The acquisition also aligns with Medicus Pharma's mission to build a diversified pipeline targeting significant unmet medical needs with strong commercial potential. #proactiveinvestors #nasdaq #mdcx #tsxv #mdcx #pharma #Biotech #CancerTreatment #ClinicalTrials #FDAApproval #SkinCancer #HealthcareInnovation #Investing #MedicalResearch

Send us a textWelcome to "The Barbershop", where real men have real conversations - uncut, unfiltered and unapologetically honest. It's the spot in our Agile Always podcast where we pull up a chair, talk life, health, and everything in-between, from the deeply personal to the universally important. Pat Riley once said, "You have to be an active participant in your own rescue." These words perfectly capture the urgent message at the heart of this powerful episode of Officially Fenner/Agile Alway's new "Barbershop" segment, where host Rudy brings authentic men's health conversations out of the barbershop and into the open.Rudy, joined by his brother Greg (a prostate cancer survivor turned advocate) and son-in-law David (representing a younger perspective), this multigenerational discussion tackles the staggering reality that 80% of men who live to 80 will develop prostate cancer—with even higher rates among African American men. Yet countless men avoid the simple PSA blood test that could save their lives. The trio explores the complex reasons behind men's reluctance to seek medical care: historical distrust of the healthcare system, the masculine tendency to "tough it out," and fears about procedures and potential sexual dysfunction. With remarkable candor, they share personal experiences that illuminate how early detection dramatically improves both outcomes and treatment options.Family history emerges as a crucial but often overlooked factor. As Greg powerfully states, "If you have had prostate cancer and you have a son, you're putting his life at risk not telling him." The conversation moves beyond detection to treatment decisions, with insights on everything from "active surveillance" (which Greg compares to "a stick of dynamite with a fuse") to radiation therapies and surgical options.Whether you're approaching 40 or well beyond, this conversation could literally save your life or the life of someone you love. Listen, learn, and become an active participant in your own health journey. What's your PSA number?Thank you for spending time with us today! A recent study investigated the effects of Salvia miltiorrhiza root extract (Danshen, also known as red sage), at two different dosages (400 mg/day and 800 mg/day), on men with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involved 136 male participants. The study found that Danshen, at both dosages, significantly improved LUTS compared to a placebo. This improvement was observed in various aspects of urinary health, including nighttime urination frequency and quality of life. These findings suggest that Danshen may be a promising natural approach for managing LUTS in men. 3. Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks… Anonymous: Hi Dr Cabral, Not sure if you want to air this type of question. I practice semen retention due to personal convictions and beliefs. I intend to keep practicing this perhaps for the rest of my life, but I am concerned about my prostate health. I've read that such practices are not good for the prostate long term. What are your thoughts on this and how do you recommend I protect my prostate? I see you offer an Prostate Support supplement. Do you think it would be beneficial for my specific concern? I definitely more of an ectomorph type (5'8" and I hover around 130lbs to 125lbs) if that matters. Thanks! Erin: Hello! I have completed the CBO protocol and am about to start the gut sealer. It is high allergy season and I am still having so much sneezing, itchy eyes and allergy symptoms. I am bummed because I had hoped this would be a lot better since doing the protocol. What would you suggest next? Thank you so much! Anonymous: Hi, dr. Cabral, hope all is well with you and your family. I'm wondering about this hair serum, it's supposed to combat breakage, thinning, bald spots, flakiness & shedding. it contains Parsley Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Linseed Oil, Coffee Seed Oil, Argan Kernel Oil, Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Sweet Almond Oil, Lavender Oil, Ginger Root Extract, Olive Fruit Oil, Panax Ginseng Extract, Polygonum Multiflorum Extract, Cocoa Seed Extract, Avocado Oil, Coconut Oil, Rosemary Leaf Oil… and you are supposed to massage it into the scalp 3x a week, leave overnight and rinse after shampooing… Do you think it works? Thank you for your help Anonymous: Hi,listened to your answer on The Superpatch&went on their website for research studies on VTT - haptic vibrotactile trigger technology.Apparently most of the patches are registered as wellness products, but the REM patch (for better sleep) & the Freedom patch (for less pain), which have the most research done on, are now supposedly medical products.I don't know if the research was funded by the company itself to obtain desired results but I listen to you daily&you always say how much you love research, so maybe you could read the ones linked on their page&let us know on a Friday Review? The patches are talked about on every corner now so I would love to hear your opinion on the research behind them. Even if it is a bandage approach, better than pharmaceuticals,no? Also, they claim long time wear of the patches (the Liberty patch) improves homeostasis (equilibrium) in the body. Wearing them daily may improve the body's response to stressors, mitigate pain, improve sleep overall, etc. because it supposedly “rewires or reprograms your brain”. I'm really eager to hear your take on the research they have on their website and what you think about the technology behind them. Thank you for your time and work you put into these podcasts, they are amazing and so are you! Lara: Hi, dr. Cabral, hope you & your family are well.. My friend recently told me she makes her own colloidal silver & uses it for all sorts of things like cleaning, cooking with it & the whole family even drinks it-instead of water! It's helped her tremendously when she had the pneumonia so since then the whole family is on it.. the naturopath she bought the device from has been drinking it for 12 years and hasn't been sick during.. it's approximately 10ppm like the Sovereign Silver brand. This is very interesting to me & I know you like colloidal silver for certain protocols, but would you recommend using it instead of drinking water & such? I'm really interested in your opinion on colloidal silver & all the benefits & any potential dangers.. thanks so much, your voice is in our house daily Thank you for tuning into this weekend's Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right! - - - Show Notes and Resources: StephenCabral.com/3054 - - - Get a FREE Copy of Dr. Cabral's Book: The Rain Barrel Effect - - - Join the Community & Get Your Questions Answered: CabralSupportGroup.com - - - Dr. Cabral's Most Popular At-Home Lab Tests: > Complete Minerals & Metals Test (Test for mineral imbalances & heavy metal toxicity) - - - > Complete Candida, Metabolic & Vitamins Test (Test for 75 biomarkers including yeast & bacterial gut overgrowth, as well as vitamin levels) - - - > Complete Stress, Mood & Metabolism Test (Discover your complete thyroid, adrenal, hormone, vitamin D & insulin levels) - - - > Complete Food Sensitivity Test (Find out your hidden food sensitivities) - - - > Complete Omega-3 & Inflammation Test (Discover your levels of inflammation related to your omega-6 to omega-3 levels) - - - Get Your Question Answered On An Upcoming HouseCall: StephenCabral.com/askcabral - - - Would You Take 30 Seconds To Rate & Review The Cabral Concept? Susan is a wellness expert and keynote speaker at the 2023 Annual Biohacking Conference SUSAN BRATTON. As the co-founder of Personal Life Media and The20, she is the go-to authority for biohacking in the bedroom by using natural solutions to boost libido and non-invasive treatments that improve longevity and vitality for both men and women. Susan stands firm in the conviction that passion is ageless. However, few things bring lovemaking to a screeching halt faster than the inability to…show up, shall we say. Most ED treatments are invasive and painful or hinge upon pricey pharmaceutical solutions–and they don't address the root cause of the condition. (Spoiler Alert: This is where the biohacking comes in.) Susan will provide insight into safe, modern, non-invasive treatments such as GAINSWave, which uses high-frequency vibrations to enhance male sexual function, performance, and overall health. And for women, FemiWave which uses low-intensity sound waves to restore sensation and natural lubrication. Everything Susan discusses is safe and developed with and by renowned doctors.
