As a double PHD in both Liam Neeson action movies post Taken, and pre-Fast Jason Statham action movies, I feel Gerard Butler may well send me back to university. I'm really liking where he's at now and after the fabulous Greenland, we get this almost puritan throw back to 80s Jean Claude Van Dam era actioners, just with way better acting and directing. But please stop under-using the wonderful Daniella Pineda. Utilitarian film-making at its finest.
This week Andrew and Presley dive into a recently canceled Netflix original anime adaptation (that's too many things!). Will we love it, or will we hate it? Listen now to find out for yourself! All our Links: https://linktr.ee/seasononepodSpoiler Show Description: Today we are talking about the live-action cowboy bebop show made by Netflix in 2021. The show is a remake and reimagining of the original manga and anime. The show occurs in the distant future when interplanetary travel is every day, and an accident irradiates the earth beyond being livable. In this new interplanetary society, cooperations run everything, which is quite lawless, resulting in the government creating the Cowboys, bounty hunters who seek rewards by capturing the ruffians across the solar system. The show follows a ship called the Bebop, crewed by Spike Spiegel, played by John Cho, and Jet Black, played by Mustafa Shakir. As they pal around the solar system, another member reluctantly joins the crew, Faye Valentine, played by Daniella Pineda. Over the course of the series, we learn about Spike's checkered past with a crime organization known as the syndicate, and an ex-lover, Julia, trapped in a loveless marriage with Vicious, the series antagonist and former crime partner of Spike. As we watch the gang fumble from one bounty to another, we follow a Coup that vicious orchestrates on the syndicate, resulting in a final confrontation between Spike and Vicious resulting in Julia capturing Vicious, taking over the syndicate, and shooting spike out of a window into the ocean. Our characters part ways, and we close on a teaser and cliffhanger ending, preparing us for a new crew member in season 2.
We are jumping right back in to the dark recesses of Vincent D'onofrio's serial killer Carl Stargher's mind and talking about the psychological thriller 'The Cell' from 2000.Is this Jennifer Lopez and Vince Vaughn horror film, Rotten at 45% on the Tomatometer, a cult classic? Or is it a visual spectacle that's best left buried in our memory?Actress Daniella Pineda ('Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,' 'Plane'), joins Mark and Jacqueline to discuss all this and more!If you'd like to give your thoughts on this movie or have another movie you feel like Rotten Tomatoes got wrong, email us at RTisWrong@RottenTomatoes.com.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

'Top Gun: Maverick' Star Danny Ramirez Talks 'Tales of the Walking Dead' now streaming on AMC+ and Airing on AMC Sunday, September 18, 2022. Danny Ramirez claims to be lucky, but after having stared in Top Gun: Maverick alongside living legend Tom Cruise and now co-staring with the incredible talents of Terry Crews, Poppy Liu, Jillian Bell, Jay T. Usher, Anthony Edwards (Goose from the original Top Gun) and Daniella Pineda, 'Tales of the Walking Dead' is shaping up to be one of the most exiting casts in 'The Walking Dead' expanded universe. The weekly one-hour episodic anthology series follows our ensemble cast through various haunts as they survive in this world. Ramirez, who plays Eric sings the praises of his castmates, including Terry Crews, who he met at San Diego Comic-Con this year. Crews' passion for the craft and performance felt infectious to Ramirez, only adding to the excitement. Each episode of 'Tales of the Walking Dead' has its own distinct tone and point of view – but the stakes are high in each story, pushing new, indelible characters with relentless, life-threatening choices and situations. We get to see the apocalypse through different eyes, discovering more worlds, mythos, and mysteries of 'The Walking Dead.' Ramirez and I joked that later in the season there will be a musical episode to cover every trope known to television. Somehow, creators Scott M. Gimple and Channing Powell have been to keep 'The Walking Dead' alive and interesting, something we though would have long lost its luster after the original series had come to an end. Thankfully, 'Tales of the Walking Dead' allows fans of horror and the zombie genre a fulfilling series that will keep them coming back for seasons to come. Following last week's review of the Jurassic Park Trilogy, Ryan and Dylan devour the Jurassic World Trilogy including the all-new finale to the Jurassic franchise, Jurassic World Dominion.
Robert Winfree, Jason Teasley, Amber Teasley and Mark Radulich present their Jurassic World Dominion 2022 Review! Jurassic World Dominion is a 2022 American science fiction action film directed by Colin Trevorrow, written by Trevorrow and Emily Carmichael and based on a story by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly. It is the sequel to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), the sixth installment in the Jurassic Park franchise, the final film in the Jurassic World trilogy, and the conclusion to the storyline started in the original Jurassic Park trilogy. As with its predecessors, Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley produced the film with Trevorrow and Jurassic Park (1993) director Steven Spielberg acting as executive producers. The film stars an ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Isabella Sermon, Justice Smith, and Daniella Pineda reprising their roles from previous films in the franchise, and are joined by DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, Campbell Scott, Scott Haze, and Dichen Lachman. Dern, Goldblum and Neill reprise their roles from the Jurassic Park trilogy, appearing together for the first time since the 1993 film. The film is set four years after the events of Fallen Kingdom, with dinosaurs now living alongside humans around the world. The Nerds discuss the backlash over Daniella Pineda and Netflix attacking Cowboy Bebop fans, the latest episode of Marvel's What If? and Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings!
Earlier this week, Netflix debuted the first look of its highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop, and fans had plenty of thoughts about everything from John Cho rocking a pristine blue suit and his best anime hair as Spike Spiegel to the adorable corgi playing Ein the data dog. But the reaction to the show's female lead has been more mixed, leading to some comments highlighting some sex*st double standards—including from the actress playing her.A HUGE Thank You To All My Patreon, Members, & Subscribe Stars! In a world filled with multiple billion dollar movies, they can't all be The Avengers or The Lord of the Rings. Some of them are (unfortunately) Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. This one has to be in the top 5 dumbest movies of all time - and we'll dissect every factor that makes it so. So buckle up, because there's a lot to discuss including the wrong way to adopt a child, putting a stop to Colin Trevorrow, how much a dinosaur would feasibly cost, and so much more in this explosive episode with returning guest Michael Moss.Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, James Cromwell, Isabella Sermon, Toby Jones, Ted Levine, B.D. Wong, Geraldine Chaplin, and Jeff Goldblum.
