As millions of emails and thousands of photos released by the U.S. Department of Justice circulate globally, a long-suppressed reckoning is gathering force across Europe. This video examines how Jeffrey Epstein's network intersected with business leaders, politicians, academics, and royalty—and why questions about judgment, accountability, and moral failure are now being asked with renewed intensity. This is not a trial, but an inquest: into power, access, and the culture that allowed a convicted sex offender to move so freely among the global elite. With police interest reportedly growing and reputations on the line, the Epstein story is no longer just about one man—it's about the systems and people who enabled him, ignored warning signs, or looked the other way. Independent media has never been more important. Reposted from Yellowjackets wtf?, which you can find and subscribe to at: yellowjacketswtf.com — Yellowjackets season 4 is still probably at least a year away, but we think the movie Send Help, in theaters now, is a great temporary fix. It's about a supremely skilled woman who gets overlooked and mistreated by her douchebag of a boss, and then after a plane crash they get stranded on an island where the tables are turned. If you haven't seen the movie yet, we totally recommend it - it's wild, and fun, and pretty gruesome, much like a certain show we all love. John welcomes back his pal Alex Wagner, host of the new Crooked Media podcast “Runaway Country” and author of “How The Hell with Alex Wagner" on Substack, to discuss the week's three biggest political stories: the ongoing saga of Operation Metro Surge, which Alex covered on the ground in Minneapolis; fallout from the DOJ's release of three million documents from the Jeffrey Epstein files; and Donald Trump's ominous suggestion that the midterm elections be nationalized in 15 blue states. Today's Headlines: The Epstein files continue to ripple outward. Hillary and Bill Clinton are pushing back on House Republicans by agreeing to testify about Epstein only if the hearing is public, after being subpoenaed for a closed-door session. House Oversight Chair James Comer wants the testimony recorded but not publicly aired, while Epstein's longtime benefactor Les Wexner is expected to give his own deposition later this month. Meanwhile, Brad Karp resigned as chair of powerhouse law firm Paul Weiss after emails revealed his close ties to Epstein, offering yet another reminder of how insulated powerful people stayed for years. Elsewhere, the Trump administration rolled out a new rule making it easier to fire roughly 50,000 senior federal employees, raising alarms about turning the civil service into a political patronage system. Trump also delivered a very on-brand speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, touching on missiles, enemies, and his personal afterlife odds. On the economy front, January layoffs spiked to their highest level since 2009, while hiring hit historic lows, signaling a cooling job market. Investigators are still searching for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie, as authorities investigate a possible kidnapping and ransom demands. And finally, in lighter news, the Winter Olympics kick off in Milan tonight — followed by Bad Bunny on Sunday. Washington Post Wreckage. Bezos the New Bad Guy? Independent Media's Moment. US Russia Nuke Treaty Expires. Nancy Guthrie Rivets Nation. Fallout & Rising Hatred for Corporations. NBA Trade Madness. The news is flying. And we're keeping you ahead of it. And focused on what matters most. Paul is joined by the venerable Chuck Todd—host of the Chuck Toddcast and former moderator of NBC's Meet the Press and more— for a raw, candid, often funny kitchen-table conversation America needs right now that takes you behind the curtain on media, news and politics. They break down ICE agents leaving “death cards” with white supremacist history, detaining citizens, and now, local cops; Jeff Bezos's gutting of the Washington Post and layoffs hitting reporters in war zones; and how billionaire power—from Bezos and Musk to Trump—is hollowing out the Fourth Estate and putting our democracy, national security, and truth itself up for sale. They also unpack the TV show Fallout's dystopian world of bunkered elites and abandoned wastelands, and what it reveals about America's rapidly-growing anti-corporate mood cutting across all political lines. Together, Paul and Chuck go hard at the rise of independent voters and candidates, the promise of open primaries and mayors, and the pivotal role veterans and independent leaders will play in the next political realignment. They talk Jesse Ventura, Ross Perot, Bill McRaven, The Rock, Mark Cuban, Matthew McConaughey, Dan Osborne, Todd Achilles, and the real possibility that a celebrity or billionaire like Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos could hijack—or turbocharge—the independent movement. If you're furious at ICE, worried about the attacks on the press, disgusted with both parties, and hungry for independent, patriotic analysis that refuses to bow to the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, Trump, Bezos, Musk or any corporate overlord, this episode is for you—and a call to declare your independence, stay vigilant, and choose country over party, people over politics, and light over heat. Because every episode of Independent Americans with Paul Rieckhoff breaks down the most important news stories--and offers light to contrast the heat of other politics and news shows. It's independent content for independent Americans. In these trying times especially, Independent Americans is your trusted place for independent news, politics, inspiration and hope. The final hour of Evan & Tiki opens with breaking Knicks news as New York trades for Jose Alvarado just moments before reports surface that Deuce McBride will undergo core muscle surgery and could miss the rest of the regular season. Evan and Tiki break down what the injury really means, playoff timelines, and why the move reflects how well-run the Knicks have become. The conversation shifts to NBA trade deadline fallout, Giannis' future in Milwaukee, James Harden analogies that hit a little too close to home, and Hall of Fame debates involving Eli Manning, Luke Kuechly, and Jason Witten.

ROB: I have behavior analysis and this book to thank for my growth as a human being and for helping me to understand how so many of the harms of the modern Republican party--a party I voted consistenly for until 2016--have led us to the cruel, fascistic situations we find ourselves here in American under the Trump administration. Yet despite the recent killings in Minnesota, some portion of U.S. citizens still consider Trump and his jackbooted thugs worth supporting. Hopefully at least all of our listeners are disgusted and outraged at the actions of the President. If not listen to our discussion of Murray Sidman's still timely "Coercion and Its Fallout". I don't think a person with any knowledge of the science of human behavior could read this important work and not be utterly apoplectic at the unethical garbage spewed by the White House and its staff. And, if you're already mad as hell about the state of America, you'll be DOUBLE-MAD!! But have more succinct words as to how things could and should be better. If you missed this episode when we released it many years ago, now's a great time to hear it. And, if you've been with us since our episodes were still in double-digits, enjoy a revisit of the work that asks the very important question: Is it worth supporting systems that lionize the use of negative reinforcement and punishment at the exclusion of all else? Our original post(s) EPISODE 91: It's time for the 3rd Annual ABA Inside Track book club. This year we'll be discussing the late, great Murray Sidman's important social work Coercion and Its Fallout. Rob, Diana, and Jackie go on a deep dive through chapters 1-10 of the book including a discussion of rat behavior, societal shocks, and a laundry list of the crummy ways in which society treats itself. EPISODE 92: How hot is our book club discussion of chapters 11-19 in Murray Sidman's Coercion and Its Fallout? So hot Rob had to edit out about 15 minutes of our takes! What's left goes into detailed descriptions of how many of the societal systems we take for granted are, in fact, coercive. And, of course, that there's got to be a better way (hint: positive reinforcement). Plus, Rob and Diana describe old Disney cartoons from the 40s while Jackie sings preschool songs. Truly, something for everyone. This episode is available for 2.0 LEARNING CEUs. Content discussed in this episode: Sidman, M. (1989). Coercion and it's fallout. Boston, MA: Authors Cooperative, Inc. Reposted from Wax Episodic, which you can find at: https://podcastica.com/podcast/wax-episodic — Okie dokey, that's it for Fallout season 2! We thought it was a great season finale, packed to the rads with answers (the Enclave is behind it all, and the President is one of them), more questions (have Hank and Steph been a thing for 200 years or what?), and as f$%ked up and funny as ever. Thanks from all three of us to everyone for joining us for this series! What a freaking blast it is, right? It was so much fun to cover, and we especially appreciate those of you who wrote and called in (but we love all of ya). I (Jason) hope you guys all stick around as Karen and I start with Apple TV's Severance next week. We're going back to the beginning and the plan is to cover the whole series, episode-by-episode, spoiler free. What is Severance, you ask? It's a trippy workplace sci-fi thriller where employees surgically split their work and personal memories, creating two separate versions of themselves. It starts as a clever corporate experiment and develops into an unsettling mystery about identity, control, and rebellion. Smart, stylish, funny, and quietly disturbing, with an incredible cast — Adam Scott, Zach Cherry (!), Britt Lower, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette. Hosted by Jason and Karen. And if you're looking for something else to dig into, highly recommend checking out any of the other shows this podcast covers. They are… Pluribus (Apple TV): Everyone is transformed into a pleasant hive mind — except for Carol (Rhea Seehorn), the most miserable woman on the planet, who must save the world from happiness. It's sounds weird, and it is… in the best way. Created by the great Vince Gilligan, of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Hosted by Jason and Karen! IT: Welcome to Derry (HBO): A fun, scary, and surprisingly great prequel to the 2016 and 2019 IT movies, Pennywise stalks the children of 1962 Derry. A mix of heart, mystery, charm, and some shockingly disturbing Nightmare on Elme Street-esque horror. Cohosted by Shawn of Strange Indeed. Alien: Earth (FX): From the brilliant Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion), this one really scratches that sci-fi itch. A greedy corporate tech overlord transfers the consciousness of a group of terminally ill children into highly performant synth bodies. And the Xenomorph is in it, too. Also, Tim Olyphant! Hosted by Jason, Kara, and Randy. Come join our Discord and chat with hosts and other listeners: Don't know what Discord is? Back in the mid-90s, Tim was working with a small team on a post-apocalyptic game with a 1950s aesthetic — a weird mix of styles that Tim was worried would bomb so hard he expected his next job would be serving fast food. But … that game was Fallout, which became a massive phenomenon, with multiple sequels and a TV series based on the game that just wrapped its second season. One of the recurring themes of Fallout is people stepping out of bomb shelters and discovering there's more to life than self-isolation. Something Tim had to force himself to do when he decided it was time to emerge from the closet.Watch Tim's YouTube videos: https://www.youtube.com/@CainOnGamesAnd check out his chocolate blog: https://chocolateihaveknown.wordpress.com/Also, a quick reminder that I host weekly livestreams every Sunday on Twitch, and I hope you'll join me for those — lately we've been watching the film Strangers on a Train and comparing it to the screenplay and Hitchcock's original, even gayer cut of the film. Everyone says sports coverage is too negative — and the “fix” was supposed to be ex-players taking over the microphone. So why does it feel like the takes are hotter, harsher, and sloppier than ever?In this episode, Ric digs into the hypocrisy of modern sports debate culture: endless era wars, manufactured arguments that can't be settled, and the engagement-driven “hamster wheel” that turns players into pundits… and pundits into flamethrowers.Ric spotlights recent examples — including Draymond Green's baffling defense of Bronny James — and explains why “I played” isn't automatically a media credential. Then he shifts to the NBA's newest pressure cooker: Cooper Flagg in Dallas, why the criticism is missing the point, and what the Mavericks' post-Luka Dončić reality says about leadership, context, and expectations.Plus: Ric's trade deadline observations, including what Chicago's moves signal, why Mike Conley could boomerang back to Minnesota, and why Boston's move for Nikola Vučević is the kind of “he killed us, so get him” logic teams swear they don't use… until they do.Time Stamps0:00 “We're cooking with gas” — welcome to On The Ball0:39 Ric's third book: Coachability (pre-order info coming)1:30 “There's only one place you hear me” — why this pod is different1:44 The myth: players hate “negative media”… so ex-players should fix it2:42 The reality: negativity is worse than ever (era wars, cheap shots)4:10 Why era debates are a trap (and a ratings machine)4:48 Example #1: Draymond Green, Bronny James, and basic facts6:45 “Only players can talk hoops”? In this episode of The Daily Herold, Jon Herold breaks down a rapidly intensifying news cycle centered on election integrity, intelligence developments, and a looming Department of Homeland Security funding battle. The show opens with analysis of a John Solomon interview outlining alleged foreign intrusions into state election systems, including voter database access, fraudulent registration efforts, and the role of state law violations rather than vote flipping. Jon connects these revelations to ongoing developments in Fulton County, Georgia, and discusses why separate investigations may be converging at a critical moment. The episode also covers reports that President Trump is expected to receive an intelligence briefing tied to election interference, alongside media panic surrounding DNI Tulsi Gabbard and whistleblower complaints deemed not credible by inspectors general. Jon then turns to Capitol Hill, where Democrats issue a sweeping list of demands tied to DHS funding, including restrictions on ICE enforcement, sparking the possibility of another partial shutdown. Additional segments touch on redistricting decisions, civil service rule changes, and media reactions as institutional pressure continues to build.

Welcome back to Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu. In today's episode, Tom Bilyeu takes you on a deep dive into the radical transformation of the global financial system—a shift that is redefining the rules of investing, and impacting everything from your mortgage rates to international alliances. The era where the US dollar acted as a neutral bridge for global trade is officially over. Now, the dollar is a weapon of economic statecraft, used strategically to reward allies and punish adversaries on the world stage. Tom Bilyeu unpacks the recent moves by the US Treasury and Federal Reserve, their ripple effects on the yen and US bonds, and why the classic “set it and forget it” approach to investing might be obsolete. You'll learn how the age of polite globalism is giving way to a lower-trust, more volatile world—where nations are building financial walls and alliances are driven by survival rather than harmony. Get ready to rethink your approach to wealth, risk, and opportunity as Tom Bilyeu explores how power, not trust, now drives the world order—and what you can do to stay ahead. Let's dive in.
