Kyle Mills, a New York Times Bestselling author of 9 Vince Flynn novels, joins me to celebrate the release of his first book since he handed over the reins to the Mitch Rapp series to Don Bentley.Kyle picked up the pen again and dusted off a familiar character in Salam "Fade" al-Fayed, bringing back a beloved character from Kyle's early days as an author. FADE IN is his second book featuring Fade, and promises to bring more action and thrills. Fans are very excited to see Kyle bring back Fade, and I can tell you this book delivers in more ways than one!Brad Thor described the book as "Wall-to-wall action".Kyle grew up like a military brat, as his father was an FBI Agent and that meant the Mills family lived all over. Kyle has spent time in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Wyoming, and even London. His experience in life as a child of an FBI Agent is obvious through his retelling of special operations, detective work, and intelligence through his novels for the Vince Flynn estate, and now in his second book in the Fade series, FADE IN.Kyle spent time in corporate America, especially banking, before branching out into writing. He has several bestselling books, to include FADE, 9 Vince Flynn novels, and certainly to be a bestseller in, FADE IN.From the pros and cons of A.I., to slapping Mike Tyson in a bar, this episode has it all!Find more about Kyle Mills, Fade In, and more at Kylemills.comBookmarks:5:00 - Authors Equity: A New Endeavor10:00 - A.I.32:00 - Some New Characters36:00 - Mitch Rapp41:00 - Slapping Mike Tyson

In this powerful episode, retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer breaks down the psychological and behavioral red flags that could help stop the next lone wolf killer in his tracks. From Kohberger's emotional detachment and incel ideology to his carefully hidden online footprint, we explore the early signs that were missed—and how society can do better next time. What does it really look like when someone's about to snap? What role do parenting, technology, academia, and toxic masculinity play? And how do you know the difference between someone who's just "awkward"… and someone planning something unspeakable? This is essential listening for anyone trying to understand how monsters hide in plain sight—and how we can stop them from taking more lives. Because hindsight doesn't save lives. Awareness does. And if he does—what horrors will it contain? Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer joins us to speculate on what a tell-all from the confessed Idaho killer might reveal—from his obsession with control to his alleged online alter ego “Papa Rogers,” to what he felt in the moments after the killings. We dig into the ethics, legality, and psychology behind convicted killers writing books, especially in states without Son of Sam laws—where profits could theoretically go to the author. Would Kohberger's writings be an act of confession, manipulation, or pure narcissism? This episode unpacks what a Kohberger prison narrative might look like—and whether victims' families would ever get justice if he tried to profit from his crimes. It's a dark, speculative discussion—but one we need to have, before the publishing world gets ahead of accountability. Their ultimate goal was to solve 200 murder cases. Jones and Larsen assembled a team led by female forensic anthropologists, scientists, and investigators. Katherine Schweit is the author of "Women Who Talk to the Dead: The True Story of 200 Forgotten Murder Victims and the Relentless Pursuit of Justice by an FBI Agent and a Detroit Police Detective." Big Breakdown - Ret FBI Agents Break Down The Full Case Against Karen Read In this comprehensive episode, we bring together retired FBI agents with decades of investigative experience to provide an expert analysis of the complete case against Karen Read in the death of her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe. These seasoned investigators apply their extensive knowledge of criminal investigations to examine every aspect of the prosecution's case, offering unique insights that only come from years of federal law enforcement experience. Our FBI experts begin by analyzing the physical evidence, including the damage to Read's Lexus SUV, the broken taillight pieces found at the scene, and the forensic evidence collected from O'Keefe's body. They discuss investigative techniques for reconstructing accident scenes and explain how they would approach determining whether the injuries sustained by O'Keefe are consistent with being struck by a vehicle. The agents provide detailed analysis of the autopsy findings, including the head injuries and arm wounds that have become central points of contention in the case. The episode delves into the investigation timeline, with our experts critiquing the Canton Police Department's handling of the initial investigation and the subsequent involvement of State Police. They discuss proper evidence collection procedures, witness interview techniques, and the importance of maintaining chain of custody. Our panelists examine the cell phone evidence, including deleted searches and messages, explaining how digital forensics play a crucial role in modern investigations. Furthermore, the retired agents analyze witness credibility, discussing techniques for evaluating testimony and identifying potential deception or bias. They examine the relationships between key witnesses and discuss how these connections might impact the case. The experts also address the defense's conspiracy theory, applying their experience with complex investigations to assess the plausibility of a cover-up involving multiple law enforcement officers. This episode provides viewers with an unprecedented look at how federal investigators view this controversial case, offering professional insights that cut through the noise surrounding this high-profile trial. #KarenRead #JohnOKeefe #FBIAnalysis #BostonPolice #TrueCrime #CourtTV #CriminalInvestigation #ForensicEvidence #CantonMassachusetts #LawEnforcement #JusticeForJohnOKeefe #BigBreakdown #ExpertAnalysis #PoliceInvestigation #MassachusettsCrime Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Karen Read Trial: FBI Agent Explains Why Defense Strategy Is Backfiring With Juries Former FBI Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Chief Robin Dreeke delivers a comprehensive breakdown of why Karen Read's defense strategy is fundamentally flawed from a jury psychology perspective. This exclusive analysis reveals how every major defense tactical choice appears designed to alienate rather than persuade the 12 people who will decide Read's fate. Dreeke explains how the defense's core conspiracy theory violates basic principles of human psychology that juries intuitively understand. The theory requires believing that multiple law enforcement officers spontaneously coordinated a perfect murder, evidence planting operation, and sustained cover-up involving precise timing and absolute secrecy from numerous participants. The FBI expert details why such complex theories typically fail with juries who prefer straightforward explanations supported by evidence. The analysis examines specific backfiring tactics including the apparent witness intimidation allegations, the presentation of experts who admit they conducted no testing, and the avoidance of discussing physical evidence like taillight fragments found in John O'Keefe's clothing. Dreeke reveals how these choices signal desperation rather than confidence to jury members trained to evaluate credibility and authenticity. Drawing from his extensive experience in high-stakes situations, Dreeke contrasts the defense's scattered approach with the prosecution's methodical presentation of integrated evidence. He explains how Special Prosecutor Brennan's patient cross-examination style demonstrates confidence that resonates with juries, while the defense's aggressive tactics often backfire by making them appear untrustworthy. The interview provides unique insights into jury decision-making psychology, explaining why the defense's social media success hasn't translated to courtroom effectiveness and how their apparent internal recognition of case weakness is becoming visible to the people who matter most. #KarenRead #JuryPsychology #DefenseBackfire #FBI #BehavioralAnalysis #TrialStrategy #JohnOKeefe #MurderTrial #CourtroomTactics #LegalAnalysis #CriminalDefense #TrueCrime #TrialUpdate #Massachusetts #WitnessCredibility Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Welcome to another explosive episode of On The Mark with Anita Marks—your inside look at the ongoing Diddy trial. This week, we break down bombshell testimony in Sean “Diddy” Combs' federal trial, with special guest Gregory Yankow, former FBI supervisory special agent. With insider knowledge on racketeering and criminal investigations, Yankow dives deep into the high-stakes case surrounding the hip-hop mogul. The prosecution is building a powerful RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) case against Diddy, and this week's revelations from Witness Jane might just tip the scale. For the past 25 days, the world has watched as shocking details of Diddy's alleged criminal enterprise come to light. From accusations of sexual trafficking, coercion, and forced labor to shocking claims of bribery and arson, Witness Jane's testimony has rocked the trial. Jane, who was allegedly coerced into a “love contract” involving forced sex, drugs, and intimidation, revealed a dark side of Diddy's empire. The $10,000-a-month condo for Jane, the international drug run, and the threats of violence raise serious concerns about the music mogul's role in orchestrating criminal activities. Greg Yankow analyzes how the prosecution has tied these horrific actions to racketeering charges and whether they have enough evidence to convict Diddy. In addition to the explosive testimony, the episode explores other key aspects of the trial. Is Diddy's attempt to influence jurors a sign of desperation? Could co-conspirator Christina Krom's eventual testimony deal a fatal blow to the defense? We also discuss the ramifications of Diddy rejecting multiple plea deals, despite having the financial resources and celebrity status to settle. Is his decision to go to trial a sign of confidence, or is he simply playing a dangerous game?As the trial intensifies, the stakes have never been higher for Diddy. With potential charges of racketeering, human trafficking, sex crimes, and witness tampering, Diddy's future in the entertainment industry hangs in the balance. Stay tuned for the latest analysis and updates from this high-profile case. This isn't just about celebrity scandal—this is about whether justice will be served. #DiddyTrial #SeanCombs #RICOCharges #DiddyNews #CelebrityTrial #FBIInvestigation #SexTrafficking #onthemarkpodcastTimestamps: 00:00 – Welcome to Episode 8: 25 Days into the Diddy Trial 00:42 – Why Witness “Jane” Could Be the Prosecution's Trump Card 03:26 – Introducing Gregory Yankow, Former FBI Special Agent 06:13 – How the FBI Agent Became Friends with Nevin Shapiro 09:44 – Who's Winning Right Now: Prosecution or Defense? 11:06 – What Makes Jane's Testimony So Legally Damaging? 14:11 – Breaking Down the Full Scope of RICO Charges Against Diddy 15:06 – Jane's $10,000/Month Condo and “Love Contract” Revealed 16:48 – Drug Trafficking Details: Ecstasy, Hotel Nights, and Control 22:22 – Is Diddy's Wealth Changing How the Feds Approach This Case? 26:17 – Christina Krom: Diddy's Alleged Co-Conspirator? 30:56 – Judge Threatens to Remove Diddy for Influencing the Jury 31:25 – Why Did Diddy Reject Two Plea Deals? 33:24 – Juror #6 Controversy – Trouble for the Prosecution? 37:07 – Diddy's God Complex vs. Federal Power 38:04 – The Bizarre Michael Jordan–Kobe–Shaq Roleplay Story 39:47 – Final Thoughts and What's Next in the TrialFollow the Hosts on Instagram: Anita Marks: https://www.instagram.com/anita_marks Nevin Shapiro: https://www.instagram.com/nevinshapiroProducer: Michael Lazo: https://www.instagram.com/digilazo
In his 22-year career in the FBI, undercover agent Scott Payne infiltrated some of the most dangerous criminal and extremist groups in America, from a motorcycle gang called the Outlaws to a white-supremacist group known as the Base. Payne shares his firsthand case accounts of gathering intelligence and stopping illegal activity in his memoir, Code Name: Pale Horse; How I Went Undercover to Expose America’s Nazis. His story is also featured on the latest season of the Slate podcast White Hot Hate. Payne sat down with Apple News In Conversation host Shumita Basu to talk about some of his most harrowing moments on the job and the growing threat of extremism in the U.S.
A St. Paul woman is facing federal charges after allegedly assaulting a FBI agent during last week's search of a Minneapolis restaurant. In a criminal complaint, prosecutors allege the woman was recorded on video trying to punch an FBI SWAT officer as others in the crowd tried to stop her. She then allegedly kicked the agent before breaking free of the crowd and pushing another FBI agent. The state's response to protests following the murder of George Floyd five years ago was a point of contention in a congressional hearing Tuesday. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth testified before a House panel. Minnesota DFL Rep. Betty McCollum questioned sending the military to quell protests in Los Angeles. Hegseth responded by criticizing Minnesota's handling of those protests. He said the current deployment in California is needed so federal immigration agents can conduct their operations.Gov. Tim Walz says the Legislature showed they could work together despite being closely and deeply divided. After a regular session that featured a three-week holdout by Democrats in the House, two Senators facing criminal charges, special elections, a nearly even Republican-Democrat divide and adjournment without agreement, lawmakers came back to St. Paul and finished their work early Tuesday in a special session. A Becker County judge has denied all pretrial motions raised by state Sen. Nicole Mitchell's defense team in her upcoming criminal trial for burglary.

Media coverage over the economic impact of President Trump's tariffs has been robust, but not a ton of attention has been paid to the actual legality of them. So that's where Andrew and Mary begin, after two court decisions in the last week questioned the merits and where jurisdiction lies. Then they turn to the president's significant use of the pardon power to commute sentences and override convictions of some friends and allies, and what it says about maintaining a belief in blind justice. And after some great reporting from the New York Times, Mary and Adnrew detail some changes happening within Director Kash Patel's FBI, as bureau leaders are taken down a peg and emphasis on public corruption is dialed back.Further reading: Here is the New York Times reporting concerning the FBI: Unease at F.B.I. Scott Payne (Code Name Pale Horse, White Hot Hate) is a retired FBI Special Agent and author. Scott joins the Armchair Expert to discuss his first taste of undercover work in high school in South Carolina, how he caught the bug training as a fresh-face narcotics officer, and his long shot cold application to the FBI. Scott and Dax talk about his first undercover assignment in the Outlaws biker gang, the ins and outs of performing believable criminal activity, and navigating guilt around putting targets away whose trust he'd earned. Scott explains that the ultimate goal of undercover is accountability by building relationships you're going to betray, infiltrating an insidious and violent accelerationist white supremacist cell, and a terribly fraught encounter with a goat.Follow Armchair Expert on the Wondery App or wherever you get your podcasts. “There are a lot of people out there who just don't know how evil the world can be,” says Scott Payne, a retired undercover FBI agent who spent his career infiltrating violent motorcycle gangs and white supremacist groups. After growing up in a Christian home, he briefly fell into Satan worship until an encounter with a real demon sent him running back to his Baptist church. But that wasn't his only face-off with a dark underworld in a career marked by burning Bibles, lighting crosses, and sacrificing goats, while undercover with the KKK and a new strain of young white supremacist chaos agents known as “accelerationists.” He and Glenn discuss George Floyd, Gretchen Whitmer's kidnapping, Aleksandr Dugin, and the humanitarian costs of an open U.S.-Mexico border. Scott reveals the connection between gangs, cults, extremism, and even radical jihad but says he remains an optimist through it all thanks to his family, the prayers of his wife, and his relationship with Jesus. In a time when so many don't trust law enforcement or the FBI, Glenn asks Scott, “Is the FBI good or bad?” You'll have to decide for yourself.
