Throughout the conversation, Ash dives back into New Years Day's early days, when she did not even have her iconic double-hair that become her own branding a few years later. Tori & Ash also discuss how women are seen and treated in the music industry, with Ash revealing she is still being called "difficult" for no other reason than her being a female boss. Listen until the end to learn all the secrets behind the epic collaboration between Ash & Chris Motionless for "Angel Eyes"!
Can we get Chris in a goose suit? This week's guests on Discover New Music are Chris Howorth and Maria Brink of In This Moment talking about their new album "Godmode." With more time to write and less hectic recording schedule, Maria and Chris agree that this album is reminiscent to "Blood" and is some of the heaviest and most innovative music the band has put out. "It has been nearly two decades at Telenor Linx for me and this telecom community is now more than a family!" Maria Öbrink, Head of Sales at Telenor Linx in conversation with Anurag Aggarwal, Chief Growth Officer at Globe Teleservices. In this episode, Maria joins us from the Nordic lands of Stockholm and walks us through her journey of transitioning from a drab job of selling Yellow Pages to entering our industry through IDT. Destiny had telecom written in her fate when she branched into a mundane life of renting storage space after being laid off Carrier1 but unexpectedly got invited to join Deutsche Telekom within an hour after quitting her job! Maria reveals how her personal life revolves around constantly maintaining the right 'tone of voice' and body language after her mother suffered a stroke and her daughter deals with an intellectual functional disorder. And finally, she talks about blowing off steam through her passion for fitness, listening to podcasts and being the undefeated arm wrestler ever since elementary school!
In This Moment frontwoman Maria Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth discuss their latest song, "The Purge," and dive deep into their upcoming new album, 'Godmode.'

Episode 7 of season 6 aired on Rebel Rock Radio at 7 pm on 16 Feb 2023. We eased in with The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, and a track called 'Last To Die'. From there we heard Damageplan, the band that arguably cost Dimebag Darrell his life. Red Dragon Cartel gave us a track called 'Big Mouth' featuring Maria Brink on vocals. From there we were cruising, ACDC, Bush, and stuff like that. TSORR is working with Devographic and getting all the brand-new SA releases as they come out, or in our case about 12 hours before. I don't like to lose music time on interviews but I am enjoying these short sort of elevator speech interviews, I think they add value in terms of bringing the artist to you. I spoke to Sheldon Horvatic the guy behind Oceans of Angels who explains his new track called ‘Carnival' off his brand new EP titled The Gift. Later on, when the music got a bit heavier we chatted to Jessy Switchblade, the frontman from SA Metal giants Deadline. The new track 'Monuments' is awesome and shows that old-school metal is alive and well. Mid-show we picked up the pace with Danko Jones and Airbourne with ‘Suicide Woman' and ‘Ready to Rock' respectively. I discovered a Mark Haze album I did not know had been released, the album is called Signs of Life and we checked out 'Step Off'. Mark is one of the best vocalists in the world let alone SA. This week's Immortal track was ‘You Can't Always Get What You Want', The Stones nailed it, big chill all the way. This week on the Ultimate Challenge we looked at 1991. I didn't spread it out as I did last week. I played tracks off the four albums one after the other. It depends on what was going on in your life but for me, 1991 was very special. We checked out Skid Row with ‘Monkey Business', Ozzy Osbourne with ‘Hellraiser', Metallica with ‘Enter Sandman', and Guns ‘n' Roses with ‘You Could Be Mine'. And the winner was………. Music, no one could decide they are all awesome. The rules say you have to choose, it's gun to the head stuff so then it would be G 'N' R. The new In Flames and Winery Dogs sound great, we took a listen. the ending was very chilled, this is because i had a bit of a personal reflection and it marks a very specific point in time, I left it to Bob Dyland and Leonard Cohen to explain. Thanks for listening. This sweeping monolith of an album lands firmly in a genre we've dubbed "aluminum metal"-- come see why! We also discuss the band's surprising touring connections, debate the best way to cover a song, and shed some light on all the "spookable" creatures frontwoman Maria Brink may or may not have encountered. Episode 42 of Season 5 kicked off at 19h00 on 20 Oct 2022. The show was live on Rebel Rock Radio and made up for last week's disaster after the lightning strike. Apologies again for that little abortion, it's nice to be back in control and with a new inverter to keep the load shedding at bay. The show kicked off with Accept and a track called “What's Done is Done' off The Rise of Chaos. Mark Tornillo on vocals and Wolf Hoffman on lead guitar. Then we took a listen to a band that was new to me called Dead City Ruins and a track called 'Preacher'. They've got four albums out and they hail from Australia. The classic rock flag flew for a while while we heard from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and ACDC before chilling to Audioslave with ‘Like a Stone' and then ‘Rats' from Pearl Jam. 'Like a Stone' hit a billion YouTube views this week so that was worth celebrating. We also checked out KISS with the seldom-played 'Do You Love Me'. This was off Kiss Alive IV and has Peter Criss on drums and Tommy Thayer on guitar, check out the interview I did with Tommy Thayer in the podcast list on 28 Nov 2019. What a nice guy. The Johnny Kongos classic 'Tokoloshe Man', recorded back in 1971, sounded great and stands up well as did another South African classic from a band called Big Sky. We got into the heavier stuff with Motorhead and UFO and from there it was guitar time and a track from White Lion called 'Fight To Survive' featuring the amazing Vito Bratta on guitar. The story of Mike Slammer's involvement with Warrant and Joey Allen, was briefly covered then we got into some metal courtesy of Claymorean and South Africa's own Infanteria out of Cape Town and some more local music with Jasper Dan and Black Bone Nation. This week the Punk came from the USA in the form of Green Day with 'Welcome to Paradise' off 1991's Kerplunk. We also heard a track, relevant to the whole world right now called "The Economy Is Suffering' by Anti-Flag. Dave Hause with his track 'Bearing Down' off Kick was a highlight for me and is pretty deep. In This Moment showed us all how good a rave could be if Maria Brink was running the show and we went heavy again with Parkway Drive and Megadeth. the show closed with Lamb of God and a track called 'Ditch' off their new album Omens. I said that we would play out with Slipknot but then changed my mind and did the LOG instead. Artists featured: Accept, Cancer Bats, Dead City Ruins, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, ACDC, Black Label Society, Joe Bonamassa, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Godsmack, KISS, Judas Priest, Johnny Kongos, Big Sky, Motörhead, Warrant, Anti-Flag, Green Day, Claymorean, Infanteria, Black Bone Nation, Jasper Dan, Crowded House, Dave Hause, In This Moment, Marilyn Manson, Parkway Drive, Megadeth, Tribute To Leslie West, Wonderboom, UK Subs, My Chemical Romance, Lamb of GodThe Story of Rock and Roll. Episode 32 of Season 5 went out live on Rebel Rock Radio at 19h00 on 11 August 2022. Actually, that isn't quite true it eventually went out at 19h10 due to the all too familiar computer problems that plague internet radio. I am sure by 2025 all these stations will be a lot more reliable. We started off with Volbeat and ‘Step Into Light', then changed direction and decided to go ‘Into the Pit' with Halford instead. That track came off his Live Insurrection album. From there we had a flurry of Aussie Rock in the form of James Reynes performing ‘Boys Light Up, off the One Night in Melbourne live album, it's a rock classic featuring hummers, and not the type Arnold drives. The rest of the flurry came from Airbourne and Rose Tattoo. Around about this time the server decided that that was enough TSORR for one night and I was left with a ton of disappointed listeners and nothing to do except finish the show for the podcast. The live show is such a big part of TSORR because the audience gives the energy and the show is way more chirpy when it's live. Anyway, it was not to be. We continued with some excellent brand-new metal. ‘Saxons and Vikings' from Amon Amarth. It featured Saxons Biff Byford doing the Saxon part of the duet. It's a very, very cool track, one of my best for the year. We then some Soulfly with a track called ‘Superstition' off the brand new album called Totem. There was bit of Dio and Megadeth in the middle of it all and then we took a listen to a track called ‘Asshole' by Helloween. It's a pretty scathing attack on whoever it was aimed at and to be honest at that particular moment I had a long list of suitable candidates. I dedicated Gov't Mule's beautiful track ‘Soulshine to a few of my friends having a really tough time at the moment and then followed up with U2's amazing track 'Walk On' for everyone who just needs a bit of encouragement in these troubled times. It was time to liven things up with some US punky stuff: Blink 182, Wheatus, and Bloodhound Gang did the honours with Anthem, Teenage Dirtbag, and The Ballad of Chasey Lain respectively. The ladies were represented by The Pretty Reckless and the awesome Taylor Momsen, then we had In This Moment and the power of Maria Brink. While we were there we turned the mic over to Angela Gossow and a track called 'The Day You Died' off Rise of the Tyrant. Michal Amott is just phenomenal on this, Rise of The Tyrant was released in 2007, and still has brother Christopher Amott before he finally left to pursue other interests in 2012. The show stayed heavy because from there we went to Slayer and finally switched the pace a bit with two South African tracks, ‘Born on Death Row' by The Uninvited, and ‘Swords' a track off the brand new album from The Black Cat Bones. We ended the evening in good US rock style thanks to John Mellencamp and TSORR's beloved Tom Petty. The final track is really disturbing, 'Slow Motion' by Third Eye Blind should be a movie. Artists featured: Volbeat, Halford, Marilyn Manson, James Reyne, Airbourne, Rose Tattoo, Don Babylon, Megadeth, Static-X, Helloween, Theory of a Deadman, Emigrate, Dio, Amon Amarth, Soulfly, The Cult, Stone Gossard, John Frusciante, Children of Bodom, Gov't Mule, U2, Blink 182, Wheatus, Bloodhound Gang, ACDC, Ratt, Rush, The Pretty Reckless, In This Moment, Arch Enemy, Slayer, The Uninvited, The Black Cat Bones, John Mellencamp, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Third Eye Blind.
Episode 9 of the 2022 season kicked off at 19h00 on 3 March on Rebel Rock Radio. We started with ACDC to get the blood pumping and then followed with a fairly laid-back Wolfmother track called 'Mind's Eye'. The whole show was pretty diverse, and included some heavy moments with Testament and Killswitch Engage then all the way back to the early 1969 ad 1976 for MC5 and UFO respectively. We took a listen to 'Motor City is Burning' which was actually a John Lee Hooker song before Wayne Kramer fixed it up. There was a nice little bit showcasing the talents of Alissa White-Gluz, starting with a track off Me and That Man's latest album New Man, New Songs, Same Shit Vol II. The track was called 'Goodbye' and featured Alissa with Devin Townshend. She sings it beautifully with clean vocals and it's an amazing contrast to the next track where she does her trademark death vocals in Arch Enemy. That track was called 'Deceiver, Deceiver' off the soon-to-be-released Deceiver album. Sounds like something out of Black Adder, Your Highness, Your Highness, Your Highness, Your Highness. It made sense to round out this bit of the show with my current favorite female-fronted band In This Moment with Maria Brink on vox. We had a short section where we went into C&W territory and played Buckcherry and Kid Rock both featuring Gretchen Wilson. The big disappointment was messing up the transition between Jethro Tull's 'Moths' and Metallica's 'Moth Into Flame', do not adjust your set there was a technical problem which, in the interests of keeping it real, I haven't edited out. Dan Patlansky's new album Shelter of Bones is excellent and we took a listen to 'Soul Parasite'. The new Scorpions 'Rock Believer' went down very well as did listening to two of my favorite solos ever, one from KK Downing on 'Before the Dawn' and the other from the amazing C.C. de Ville on Poisons' track 'Life Goes On'. Putting Pantera and Nickelback together was good fun, I thought it worked very well and we closed out with two heartfelt South African tracks, 'Sien Jou Weer' and Komma from Piet Botha & Jack Hammer and Francois Van Coke respectively. Artists featured: ACDC, Wolfmother, Sixx A.M. Rush, Slash feat Myles Kennedy, Testament, Killswitch Engage, MC5, UFO, Stone Sour, Def Leppard, Megadeth, Me and That Man, Arch Enemy, In This Moment, Black Label Society, Buckcherry, Kid Rock feat Gretchen Wilson, Jethro Tull, Metallica, Motörhead, Scorpions, Dan Patlansky, Samantha Fish, Diverted Disorder, Type O Negative, The Stranglers, Stiff Little Fingers, Sham 69, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Parkway Drive, Pantera, Nickelback, Rob Zombie, Piet Botha & Jack Hammer, Francois Van Coke.

Finally, we are back with the first episode of the new season. This episode is a deep dive into the genre of Metal and it's sub-genres. Anna S. Ben is such a good dude and really talented. This is a fun conversation! On this episode of Talkin' Rock, Ben tells me what's going on in AA's world, why they released an EP, working with Maria Brink from In This Moment on a song called "New Devil" and why they did it, and life in general. He also answered a couple questions from Detroit icon and AA super fan, Karen Newman - and her daughter - and lots more! Enjoy! -Meltdown- https://www.askingalexandria.com/ https://wrif.com/podcasts/talkin-rock-with-meltdown/
Few bands in the entire music network have mastered the art of expression through music as well as rock outfit Asking Alexandria.Equally as comfortable belting out the metal tinged hard rock bursts of controlled aggression as they are at manouvering their way around a well crafted rock ballad, Asking Alexandria are that proficient and expendable when it comes to performing both that the bands finds themselves with almost two separate legions core fans, each of which would refuse to believe that their chosen ones would sacrifice the appeal of one of the versions to gratify themselves and the other musical faction that exists because of this.At different stages of their career they have churned out pop rock albums (Like A House On Fire), face melting breakdowns and metalcore (Stand Up And Scream), stadium rock (Asking Alexandria) and hard rock (From Death To Destiny), each time honestly and genuinely creating for themselves first and foremost. It is a stance that has seen many bands alienated by their fans, shunned and accused of abandoning the very people that brought them success, but is one that has not only defined Asking Alexandria as a musical force powered solely by their own momentum, but also which can seemingly try their musical hand at any variation of music that appeals at the time. And still be loved by both opposing factions of fiercely loyal fans.Last years album See What's On The Inside saw Asking Alexandria don their softer rock persona, once again showcasing the immense talent the band has at its disposal, which made it surprising to learn earlier this week that the band would be releasing another collection of tracks assembled into an EP less than three months later.Guitarist ben Hudson sat down with HEAVY on the eve of the EP's release to answer that question and more."I think everything we're doing with the new album is different to how things normally go and how things are normally released,” he measured, “so when it came time to do single number two we thought how can we do something different again? What can we do? It's been a weird few years. People have missed live shows, people have missed loved ones, friends, family, it's been weird. We don't have much to offer the world other than music and songs, so we thought instead of just going with here's single number two, we wanted to make it a little bit special and release some new songs along with the single, so we decided to do this little EP and it's king of like... The EP's almost like the two polar ends of our fan base. We've got this spectrum where some of our fans are all over here and like the really heavy stuff, and then there's other fans who like the ballads and then everyone else is sort of in the middle where they pretty much like all of it. This EP is... there's no middle ground. There's the high energy songs, which are New Devil, which is a really heavy song, and then there's Never Gonna Learn which is lots of energy and super rocky with quite harsh rock vocals and big drums and then all the way in this other spectrum we've got Find Myself and Miles Away, which are two of saddest songs Asking Alexandria has ever written. They are more in the ballad sort of realm, so it's quite a cool EP in that regard, where there's no real middle ground."In the full interview, Ben discusses each of the four tracks on Never Gonna Learn in greater detail, the guest vocals from Maria Brink from In This Moment on New Devil, the album artwork and its significance to the EP and where Asking Alexdria are at musically, the early days of the band and how they fit in to the scene, writing music for themselves, finding the balance between light and shade and how their fans react, getting back out on tour and more.

We welcome singer/frontman Joe Cotela from Arizona heavy metal band, DED. After dropping their first studio album called “Mis-An-Thrope” and few heavy hitting standalone singles like “Parasite” that gained them well deserved global recognition, it was fuel to their fire as they finished up the process on their new sophomore effort getting ready to release in the near future. Joe has fronted other bands like The Cover Up and Man Made Machine – but with DED, it's as if he has found his groove making his mark in metal music. Joe talks about the recent writing and recording processes which allowed him to grow even more as an individual and as a musician, as well as his many storied collaborations with other artists in the industry, including Maria Brink from In This Moment. He's made his impact early, and he will continue to do so tenfold as DED moves forward to making new music and bigger goals. Listen in now and make sure to pick up DED's latest EP “Mannequin Eyes” and their first studio album “Mis-An-Thrope” out now on Suretone Records. And be on the lookout for more new material DED has in store down the line in 2020 and beyond.
With the fall season and Halloween right around the corner it was only fitting to have a chat with the vocal enchantress that is Maria Brink of In This Moment! She called MMR from her “plant coven” and we discussed what it’s like to release their latest record Mother during a global pandemic, plans to stream a concert or some type of event in the near future, and being an empowering force like the many influential women of her life. -Ryan! Maria Brink checks in today to talk about lots of topics. The lock-down and what she's been up to, her persona on stage and the release it gives her, her privacy, if Queen or Steve Miller have commented on the covers and more. I love talking to Maria! So much fun. In This Moment vocalist Maria Brink is our guest this week. We discuss the theme behind the band's new album, Mother, how the death of family members influenced the writing and recording of the record, the visual aspect of In This Moment's live presentation and the difficulty of making that work on a budget, how collaborating with different singers is always exciting for her, the possibility of doing a video for the band's cover of Queen's "We Will Rock You" with Lzzy Hale and Taylor Momsen, how the coronavirus is inspiring her to use technology to reach her fanbase, and the possibility of the band doing a live streaming performance. Petar, Brandon, and Sylvia discuss the recent drive-in concert in Denmark and whether that could work for metal bands, Randy Blythe's statement that social distancing efforts would never be successful at a metal show, Bad Religion's decision to cancel instead of postpone their touring plans so fans can get ticket refunds, Lars Ulrich's statement that Metallica could write a new album during this time, and The Black Dahlia Murder charting on Billboard. Songs: In This Moment - “The In-Between," “As Above, So Below," Paradise Lost - "Ghosts"
To be honest I've been following In This Moment since the very beginning. They were a metal band and I at the time hosted a metal radio show. So when Maria Brink said she'd join me from quarantine for a quick conversation I of course jumped on it. We talk the new album 'Mother,' the visual and artist aspect of In This Moment and even how these new cover songs came about.

This is it, this is the BIG one! The Friday Rock Show loosens the ladies' lips! On the FRS #41 we invited five of the biggest female front-women in rock on the show and chat to them about what drives them into the cliched, male-dominated, slightly-backward world of heavy metal. There's Suzuka Nakamoto, Elize Ryd, Sharon Den Adel, Taylor Momsen (who said she fucked a priest, but she was only cackin' out her arse as usual... Pretty reckless of her I'd say), and Maria Brink, to put us men in our place. Plus a surprise guest for my superstar preening DJ Adgeen Byrne, bringing back his obsessive memories of standing outside her window, writing 500 letters. And I had to help the poor tool. We play their music, we love their voices and we listen to them all night long. It's the Queens of the New Rage. Also, if that wasn't enough for yis, we've listeners' letters read out live on air from Baldy (again, he's like a bad smell), Dwayne and his diary, Jo Hoff De Bongerd, Tasher Singh, Martin J Tyler floats across the fields in a very trippy tale of lost love and we round off the 2-hour feminine feast with Busher and his 'THWAPPY PAA'! What is a 'Thwappy Paa'? I'm not sure, and I was there, but I'll listen again to find out. And you can too, grab the full length on all the podcastery sites below. So just join Adgeen and Tony on their two-hour rock show 'The Friday Rock Show', reading our listener stories live on air, among the greatest rock & metal songs of the time. Dare to be odd. A fun interview with John Cooper from Skillet at his hotel before Oyster Bake April 22, 2017 in San Antonio, TX. This is one of my favorite interviews of the year as John discusses the irony of the song "Back From The Dead" with a certain concert promoter. There's a great story about Maria Brink from In This Moment playing Barbie Dolls with John and Korey Cooper's kids. Also why Skillet appeals to all ages from 5 to 75; bikers, soccer moms and pastors. This is engaging conversation for John Cooper fans to hear and new fans to discover Skillet.

I remember the first time I saw In This Moment live. It was on the Mayhem tour a few years back and it was the first time “Zoiks” got backstage passes. We were so excited to be there sitting around backstage that we didn’t do anything except take pictures. Then In This Moment took the […]
Reboot...Loading...Overload...Lame Program Not Found...Version 2.0 Launch...Time To Rock! Welcome back everyone to the Tour Bus Music Show 2.0. What's the whole 2.0 about? I'll be happy to share...We have been on hiatus from podcasting for a little longer than expected. However, it was necessary. In the time we have been off we have been going through lots of changes, both personally and professionally. All positive! What has amazed us more than anything is our wonderful community of listeners...all of you! Thank you all for continuing to listen to our episodes while we have been on hiatus. We are back and now it's our turn to return the favor. Ready To Rock? In this week’s episode, hosted by T. Mic, we will be updating you on The Tour Bus Music Show's new format, music news, our featured artist of the week (our artist/album review), a brief update on concerts coming to our area and a lot more! The Tour Bus Music Show and The OnStage Music Show have now been merged into one show. The Tour Bus Music Show will now feature all genre's of music, but will continue to bring you the most talented bands from around the US and internationally. Our the show will now consist of three parts: The main show that will be bringing you music related news, discussions, reviews of new music, updates on new interviews and other music and band related information. This portion will continue to be released on a bi-weekly basis. "Tales From The Back Of the Bus" (our interview segments) will be released separately from the main show but will be released under the same RSS feed so that you will continue to get automatic downloads of the interviews along with the main show so you won't miss a thing. We will be going back to the inception of the show to bring back a third part of the show that will be the concert calendar for the US gulf south area. This portion will be released weekly and will feature both local and national dates. Bands that wish their dates to be included in the concert calendar should send their dates on a monthly basis (or more often) to us at: bands@thetourbusmusicshow.com. Submissions must be received by Monday of the week they wish to be listed by 5:00PM CST. The concert calendar will be posted online on the following Thursday by 10:00PM CST. To ensure that bands are listed, a submission of your band’s monthly calendar is recommended. In local music news, spring is in the air, flowers are in bloom, and local bands are kicking out great new music faster than rabbits on viagra. Big Frank has released their long-waited new album entitled Franco Grande. We had the chance to catch their show a couple of weeks ago and they were in usual bone-crushing form headlining a local club, Xtreme’s Sports Bar & Grill in Gonzales, LA. Ben, P. Fridge, Matt & Klipstein were taking no prisoners and rocking a packed house. Check them out at reverbnation.com/bigfrank and support them by getting their CD. Other bands releasing new albums this spring include upcoming guest’s on the Tour Bus Music Show such as Cardinal Collide, as well as Black Market Halos, Poltern Kinder with their new album, Feral (available at iTunes). Lillian Axe has welcomed their new vocalist Brian Jones to the ranks and have dived right in to recording their new album tentatively scheduled for late summer/early fall release. Both me and Ana were treated to a preview of one of the tracks for the new album while visiting with Steve and his wife recently entitled “Take The Bullet”. The band has now placed the song as a sample track on their website at LillianAxe.com and is now available to listen to. Lillian Axe will be debuting Brian at 2 shows on April 8, 2011 at The Howling Wolf in New Orleans, Louisiana and on April 9, 2011 at FIRE in Jackson, Mississippi. Check their website or our concert calendar for details. Speaking of Lillian Axe, for those of us who grew up around Louisiana in the 80’s and got to the see the original line-up of Lillian Axe prior to them being signed to MCA records, we have good news! The Original line up of the Axe is back together under the name Circle Of Light. That’s right, Steve Blaze, Johnny Vines, Mike Maxx, and Danny King will soon be rocking some of their original songs as well as new ones starting around this may. They are also in production of an album themselves. Details will be announced in the near future. Again keep an eye and ear for that matter on our concert calendar that can be found at www.audiosmaximus.com in both blog and audio versions. It will be a good summer concert season if you are into classic rock, I’m not saying that there will not be a lot of great many modern acts out there this summer, but there are several notable classic acts coming to the southern United States area on tour this summer. Just giving you a heads up for Southern Louisiana and South Mississippi Area (and by the way) check out The Tour Bus Concert Calendar this coming week for more dates and details. Chicago will be performing at Beau Rivage Theatre in Biloxi, MS on Friday April 15 and At Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville, LA on Saturday April 16, 2011, Whitesnake will be performing at Hard Rock Live in Biloxi, MS on Friday May 20, 2011, Saturday May 21, 2011 at Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, LA and at Snowden Grove Amphitheatre in Southhaven, MS on Tuesday May 24, 2011, Also coming in May is Rocklahoma running from Friday May 27 through Sunday May 29, 2011. Although it will be a little drive for some it will be well worth the trip with bands such as Motley Crue, Poison, Staind, Whitesnake, Papa Roach, Seether, Hinder, Skillet, Saving Abel, Sick Puppies, Sebastian Bach, Black Label Society, Drowning Pool and Many, Many Others, Speaking of Motley Crue and Poison they will also be performing with special guests New York Dolls at the Mississippi Coast Colliseum in Biloxi, MS on Friday July 8, 2011, Def Leppard with Special Guest Heart will be at the New Orleans Arena Saturday July 23, 2011, Journey, Foreigner, and Night Ranger will be live in concert at Aaron’s Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA on Friday September 16, 2011 and Queensryche will be coming to Hard Rock Live in Biloxi, MS on Friday September 23, 2011 As we said earlier, we have been checking out and listening to a number of bands during our hiatus and we wanted to pass on some great bands and music that we have found. While they are not a new band, this weeks pick is “In This Moment” from Hollywood, California. This band has been around for several years and released their newest album, “A Star-Crossed Wasteland” in mid 2010. For those of you who have not heard of or checked out this band, if you like hard rock, they are a “must-listen-to-band”. The band of extremely proficient and talented musicians: Chris Howorth on Lead Guitar, Blake Bunzel on Rhythm Guitar, Jeff Fabb on Drums and Travis Johnson on bass, with their alluring and powerful vocalist Maria Brink area a force of nature when they come together to make music. From haunting melodies to a vicious, shredding musical assault on their, let’s say…more energetic songs, this band’s music is addicting as we found ourselves wanting to listen to them everyday. On the first track of “A Star Crossed Wasteland” you press play on pur CD or MP3 player and you are yanked forcefully into the middle of a Category 5 grade mosh pit and are left to wonder how this proverbial wall of sound came crashing down on your head. While the mood and sounds change throughout the album, the entire album is full of great tracks, especially the more commercial sounding (if they can actually sound commercial) “The Promise” which features a duet with Maria and Otherwise’s Adrian Patrick. We encourage you to checkout their website, their videos on YouTube and on tour. Their current releases to date are: Beautiful Tragedy (2007), The Dream (2008) and of course A Star Crossed Wasteland (2010). Wow, what a whirlwind it has been these past several months. Lots of changes, late nights, crazy schedules… life has felt like a revolving door and at times not know if we were coming or going. To say the least it has been a challenge at times to balance our work schedules at our main jobs, family, pets, and turning what started as a hobby podcasting into a full blown production company. There have been times along the way when balance in life has seemed like a distant dream but all in all it has worked out. Don’t get me wrong, we are not complaining, as a matter of fact the sharing of our passion for podcasting about the topics that we do has been a vast reward in of itself. We love connecting with not only the people and now friends that we work with and interview, but also connecting with our community of listeners and friends across the internet and world for that matter. Not much inspires us more than to wake up in the morning and looking forward into the coming day knowing that we’ll have a chance to interact with so many people that we did not know the day before and the chance to learn from their perspective on life as we interact. Overall, the journey has required a lot of dedication and energy, but it has been a blast and we are looking forward to many, many more years doing what we love to do! Along with the other changes we have had a few personnel changes. Scott “Bozo” Hood has decided to take some time for more pressing matters in his life and has, at least for the time, stepped down from his duties at Audios Maximus and we wish him nothing but continued success and prosperity no matter where life takes him. However, we have been joined by none other than my brother, Kenny to help keep us on track and to help take Global Stage Media and Audios Maximus Media Network to the next level. Kenny brings with him an extensive amount of talent, drive, and personality to the network. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from SoutheasternLouisianaUniversity and he will be a very valued Partner/Owner in our network and production company. Along with our change from a hobby to an actual functioning company we have also had to perform our due diligence and legalize our company. As we take these next steps we have registered with the IRS, filed our LLC, working to get our business license, trade marking, and registering to pay sales taxes as necessary on sales of future digital products. Yes, formally going into business can be challenging but exhilarating experience. But worth every minute of it. Now that we are back we have got some great groups coming up in the next few months. Nonpoint will be joining us in May. We will also have several other great bands joining us over the course of the spring & summer such as Southern Whiskey Rebellion, Cardinal Collide, Winbourne as well as major acts. Once Again keep an eye on our blog and listen to The Tour Bus Music Show for details. As far as our production schedule, it’s full throttle and we don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. Along with other changes our community can expect some changes to our websites look and feel over the next couple of months as we prepare to add many more interactive features to engage you, our listeners with and to improve the overall efficiency and control of it’s features and add our new community forum & discussion board. We welcome your comments and encourage you to e-mail us at feedback@audiosmaximus.com or call us on our listener feedback line at (206) 338-1478 to tell us your ideas on what we can add or change to make your experience better on our site. We want to hear from you! We hope you enjoyed this episode of The Tour Bus Music Show. Again, keep an eye on our upcoming concert calendar, which again will be released both on our blog and on this same podcast feed on the opposite weekends from this show. Also keep an ear our for our interview segments, Tales From the Back Of the Bus, which will be released on this same RSS feed as well. Of course all of the Tour Bus Music Show segments can always be found on our website at www.audiosmaximus.com, on iTunes, Zune, and Blackberry podcasts and on many other podcast directories online. On this edition of the Livecast, Rob shows up an hour late. In other news, the 1st hour of the show is probably the best first hour in our history. During the first hour, we talk about Rob's girly hair products, two female teachers in Brooklyn who sneaked away from an assembly to get it on, and more tom-foolery. There is another edition of Thrash It or Trash It, where we judge unsigned bands. During the second hour, we get a phone call from IN THIS MOMENT vocalist Maria Brink and talk to her about the band's headlining tour, being surrounded by dudes, hanging out with Ozzy and Dave Mustaine and more. Also, Rob's mother joins the show to unveil a new song she wrote just for her son.
