Picture a terrified lost dog, darting in and out of traffic, sleeping under brush in the desert, driven by fear to the point where it won’t allow anyone near. Its flight drive is so powerful it doesn’t even recognize its owner. Enter H.A.R.T.T. – the Humane Animal Rescue and Trapping Team, a volunteer-based Arizona nonprofit that finds and captures lost family pets, homeless dogs, and stray cats who are severely injured. H.A.R.T.T.'s team of more than 100 trained volunteers specialize in humanely trapping shy and skittish pets who can't be rescued through traditional means. Cheryl Naumann started the organization in 2017. A long-time animal welfare advocate whose experience including serving as president and CEO of the Arizona Humane Society, she also runs a luxury pet boarding service with her husband in North Phoenix. She puts long hours in for her “day job” as a human resources executive for a large national corporation, but finds time outside of work hours to be not only HARTT’s founder, but one of its most prolific volunteers, personally rescuing nearly 1,000 animals since 2012. The equipment and techniques she’s developed have been so successful, Cheryl now leads humane trapping workshops twice a year and has taught the skills to more than 600 people across the U.S. and in five other countries. FriDudes - Getting Real. Pursuing Truth.

Yes!  You are in!  Another mic drop for you, this one coming from North Phoenix, this is some advanced lifting so the deeper should dig it...here you go...Wow!  Thank you Dr. Noe Garcia, North Phoenix, you are a gift for this season.  I know you have some great speakers in the area.  Noe is an excellent teacher.  He makes the play of the day again.  If you dig, you can hear more of that message at North Phoenix Baptist Church, that message is entitled "I Will" and it was published on the 20th of August 2023.If you are a newer believer or an old one, this is a key learning point for some of you.  There's your answer to Why.  Jesus got brutally nailed to a cross for you, why do you think life should be easy.  This broken planet is brutal.  Knowing that, who or what are you clinging to?  Confession, I've clinged to the wrong things and people at times.  It's easy to do.  The wise cling to God, their saviour Jesus Christ and their Helper the Holy Spirit.  There's no bettter place to go in tough times.  And bonus points for you that cling to God during great and indifferent times too.  Bonus story!  I love Miracle Stories.  Who doesn't?  Once upon a time, FriDude Casey told his Windshield Cash story that totally blew my mind.  You'll have to dig back for that one in the podcast.  Yet today, I have a new one for you.  23 year old Diggin Dirt Deep Matt, a current contributor to ThursDudesPM, was in Walmart in the state of Wyoming.  n the Wow Factor, this praise report ranks up there with the Casey Windshield miracle story.  Diggin Dirt Deep Matt (23) currently with ThursDudesPM was at Walmart this week.  He had a young woman struggling with payment in front of him.  She was trying three different cards.  On top of that embarrassment someone else in line was giving her a hard time.  Matt steps up and pays for her...around $250!  That alone is a cool story for grace.  There's more.  Matt just got a new job with the railroad.  Getting transferred to Wyoming.  Moving his young wife and child from El Paso.  So he's off to meet his new landlord for the place he's going to rent.  Upon arrival, he sees that same young woman.  Befuddled, he walks up to learn that young woman is the grand daughter of the landlord.  She was recently laid off and living with him.  The landlord was so moved to hear the story of the Young Buck's Christian heart that he waived first month's rent and the security deposit.  Wow!  Father God, you never cease to amaze me!Now go, cling to the Heavenly Father God in tought times in good times, love Him with all your heart soul and mind, then love others just like Matt in that Walmart line or wherever God tees you up.  Everything else you are trying to do correctly on this earth, hangs on those two, love God, love others, check Matt 22: 26-40.  I love you, yes even you that i really don't know.  This is why I do what I do.

In other words, look for the characteristics of a servant-leader in a man, even if they've not been developed yet. Bob has an eye for leaders. He knows what a true, Biblical leader looks like. He knows how to identify them, coach them up, and help them see their place in the body of Christ. Bob's contention is that the leaders you need may already be in your church. When the essential qualities in a man are recognized, then it's time to pour in to them, so that they will pour out. Wise pastors will seek wisdom from wise pastors who have gone before them. Bob's counsel is simple, and it works.

BRT S03 EP55 (154) 10-30-2022 – Clean Energy & the State of AZ Tech in 2022 w/ Steve Zylstra of the AZ Tech Council   What We Learned This Week Chips & Science Act is good for Semiconductors & the U.S. Supply Chain Clean Energy - many Tech Co's working on zero emission plan Semiconductor – big Tech Co's building plants in AZ Nuclear Power tech is vastly improved & viable in the future       Guest: Steve Zylstra, President / CEO AZ Tech Council https://www.aztechcouncil.org/ https://www.aztechcouncil.org/kfnx_july2021/   Steve Zylstra of AZ Tech Council joins BRT to talk all things technology in the Valley. The Arizona Technology Council is one of the largest technology-driven trade associations in North America, with over 850 members and growing, the only organization specifically serving technology companies statewide. They protect innovators and truly believe that technology moves all of us forward; and are dedicated to the future of Arizona.   Steve Zylstra advocates for AZ tech, as well as his recurring writing about the industry. Steve, and the Council are a major source for updates on technology, business growth, and what legislation is being drafted. We talk about AZ as a great technology hub in the U.S., and how it compares to Silicon Valley, Boston, etc. Also the Future tech Co's moving to the valley, influx of people moving to the valley from CA, NY, etc. How high tech jobs help the valley, and surrounding business plus VC and Angel Investing. The importance of semiconductors and Aerospace, two of the most prominent industries in AZ.       Notes:   Arizona continues to attract business from other states. Finding talent is the main issue for these businesses. In 2023 most businesses are expecting a recession with lower growth rates, but still some growth, just not double digit growth. There will be layoffs and cutbacks. Intel is building a semiconductor fab center in Chandler, AZ. The chips and science act passed by the governor has been a good thing for the semiconductor industry. It specifically benefits states like Oregon, New Mexico, Ohio, California and Arizona. The inflation reduction act will have $369 billion going to clean and clean energy industry. This really benefits Arizona because of the UV and solar industry in the state. Supply chain of semiconductors, in the past 39% were made in the US. Now it is just 12% with Asia being the main producer. Silicon Valley was born out of the semiconductor industry post World War II. Intel investing 20 billion on to fab‘s in Arizona. Taiwan semiconductor TSMC has already invested 12 billion in phase 1 to build a fab in North Phoenix. It has been a 2 year construction job with estimates of 3000 construction workers on it and 1800 employees who will later work in the fab. Location is at I 17 and the 303 in Anthem.   Seg 2 Cost in Asia with labor are up so savings cost not as much to produce overseas. Covid Pandemic taught us that having supply chains offshore is a threat. There is  security needed plus the reality to bring production back to the US. Semiconductor industry is crucial to multiple industries in America like auto and computers. TSMC bringing suppliers also to the US dozens of equipment and chemicals makers located right here in North Phoenix and in Casa Grande. Suppliers are coming because of Intel and TSMC. Famous business consultant Michael Porter talked about industries that cluster because of boom in an industry. Samsung is putting a plant in Austin Texas, Micron building in Boise Idaho, and Intel also spending $20 billion to build a plant in Ohio. Arizona already has many semiconductor companies here like On Semi Marvel ASM and ASML. EV industry is big in Arizona with companies like Nikola, Atlis Motors, Lucid, ZEV. You also have battery plants here like LG and Core Power. Other big companies that are in the battery industry are Tesla and Samsung. There's a company called Ly-cycle in Gilbert Arizona that does lithium battery recycling   Seg 3 Semi conductors are in a lot of products like smart homes and appliances and devices. This is called IOT or the Internet of things, and in the future almost everything will have a chip in it. Intel has a center of excellence which deals with IOT on the industrial side, where downtime in devices is monitored with sensors. Always a danger with tech in modern society of an EMP weapon electromagnetic pulse Defense Industry and Aerospace are very big in AZ. They must be located in the US for security purposes. In times of crisis you can't depend on foreign production and offshore supply. Clean energy is a common theme with many tech industries as they are at, or moving to zero admissions. Oil still necessary but the demand may go down over the next 10 to 20 years. Nuclear energy may be on a comeback. There is already a large plant since 1988 in Palo Verde, Arizona, west of Phoenix. It's the largest nuclear power plant in the US giving power to both California and Arizona. Nuclear power tech has come a long way and is much better and safer option then it was 40 years ago. Nuclear power is back in the energy Mix   Seg 4 How to make the transition from oil & coal to clean energy. There is a need to build a better charger charging station infrastructure for EV vehicles. Solar and wind will become more prominent over the next decade. Nuclear Energy has new potential, can build quicker, smaller and more modular micro facility types. Facility of this size could give power to millions of people, but would be much smaller than the Palo Verde nuclear plant in AZ Wind Farms already in Arizona near Holbrook in the high desert. Solar there is much better battery tech these days to store solar energy. Atlis Motors CEO Mark Hanchett's company just went public and they want to be an energy company, to focus long-term on their battery technology       Tech Topic: https://brt-show.libsyn.com/category/Tech   More - BRT Best of Tech 2021: Cell Based Collagen from Jellatech + BRT 2.2021 - Best of Tech 2021 BRT Summer TechFest 2021 – Drones, Robotics & More Tech BRT S02 EP52 (99) 12-26-2021 – Tech for the Holidays – BRT Best of Tech 2021   Thanks for Listening Please Subscribe to the Podcast   Business Roundtable with Matt Battaglia The show where Entrepreneurs, High Level Executives, Business Owners, and Investors come to share insight and ideas about the future of business. BRT 2.0 looks at the new trends in business, and how classic industries are evolving.  Common Topics Discussed: Business, Entrepreneurship, Investing, Stocks, Cannabis, Tech, Blockchain / Crypto, Real Estate, Legal, Sales, Charity, and more…  BRT Podcast Home Page: https://brt-show.libsyn.com/ ‘Best Of' BRT Podcast: Click Here BRT Podcast on Google: Click Here BRT Podcast on Spotify: Click Here                    More Info: https://www.economicknight.com/podcast-brt-home/ KFNX Info: https://1100kfnx.com/weekend-featured-shows/   Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed in this program are those of the Hosts, Guests and Speakers, and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of any entities they represent (or affiliates, members, managers, employees or partners), or any Station, Podcast Platform, Website or Social Media that this show may air on. This is the third in a series of possible, fictional scenarios of what it would be like after the Rapture of the born-again Christians. What will happen in the Rapture is all the true, saved, Christian believers will vanish as Jesus calls them up to heaven. In the first post, I showed how the Progressive Christians may react. I think they’ll get it. In the second episode, I featured two Catholic priests who were left behind. Today, we’ll take a look at an interesting couple with a secular worldview — the “Coexist”, the “to each his own”, believer. We don’t know when the Rapture will happen. When it does, it will happen at the same moment everywhere around the world. So, if it’s morning in Phoenix, AZ, it will be night in Australia. Each of these stories will take place at different days and times. The idea behind this, is to get you to understand that you have to be ready. It could happen at any moment and you really don’t want to be left behind. Again, this is FICTION. Any resemblance to any person living or dead is pure coincidence. Today, we’re in a nice North Phoenix residential neighborhood.... Keep reading in my blog where there are links to dig deeper and watch the special video on the Rapture…. Jesus said, “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.” ~ ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬ - this is repeated 14 times in scripture. Kind of gives the idea that God wants us to pay attention. If you want to reap all the benefits of salvation including the 1-way, non-stop ticket to Heaven then… Believe. Repent. Be Baptized. Receive the Holy Spirit. Pray this prayer humbly and wholeheartedly… “Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Please forgive me. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and my life to you. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. I surrender my whole life to you and I will follow you for the rest of my life. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen.” Jesus is coming back soon! Are you ready? Episode Summary:  Bob and Kathy Hubbard spent their early professional lives in the corporate world but, because of their love for swimming and the ocean, they were led to run a competitive swim program called the Phoenix Swim Club during the economic downturn of the late 1980s.  Frustrated by the lack of profitability, they narrowed their focus to giving swim lessons in the summer of 1993. At last, they had found their passion, and in the spring of 1998, they ventured out of the PSC to teach swim lessons wherever they could—a “guerilla swim school”, they called themselves. The Hubbard’s opened their first swim school in North Phoenix in October 1999, their second in Peoria in 2007, their third in Mesa in 2010, and their latest in Goodyear in 2020.  Joining us today alongside Bob is Mike Geyer, President of Exceptional Water Systems. The two talk about their current partnership and how Hubbard Family Swim School has benefited immensely thanks to Mike’s expertise, incredible systems, and meticulous approach to health and cleanliness.  We discuss the Hubbard Family Swim School philosophy, the importance of water and air quality, the ideal turnover rate, the operations side of running the school, and safety standards. Mike also gives us a full breakdown of the equipment room that you don’t want to miss!  Topics Discussed:  01:07 - How Bob became involved in the swim school business  06:24 - What exactly goes into building a swim school?  10:26 - Bob’s expectations for the business in 2021 with COVID-19 in mind  12:40 - The Hubbard Family Swim School Philosophy  15:52 - The importance of prioritizing water & air quality  22:41 - How Mike evaluates water safety and the health aspect of water  27:36 - Philosophy to kids get comfortable underwater, not just on top of the water  29:45 - Operations side of the school and preparation for accidents  32:35 - How Bob and Mike met and how they do business today  35:35 - Mike walks us through his pump room  55:33 - Hubbard’s safety standards and how their staff is trained to stay vigilant  1:00:28 - Mike’s love for working with people who truly want to make a difference  1:04:14 - Mike’s testament of Bob’s commitment to his employees and clients  1:08:58 - How Mike communicates with Bob’s maintenance team  1:10:23 - Bob and Mike’s parting thoughts on the industry in general  Sponsors:  Pentair  Lyon Financial    Connect with Guest:  Episode Webpage  Hubbard Family Swim School:  Website  Facebook  Instagram  Twitter  YouTube  LinkedIn    Exceptional Water Systems:  Website  Facebook  Instagram  Twitter  YouTube  LinkedIn    Connect with Pool Chasers:  Pool Chasers Website   Pool Chasers Instagram  Pool Chasers Facebook  Pool Chasers FB Group  Pool Chasers Twitter  Pool Chasers YouTube  Pool Chasers Patreon    Key Quotes from Episode:  One of the things we pride ourselves on is we run our business, financially, very soundly, and with good financial monthly reports so we don’t get surprised. ~Bob  Water quality is important for the kids—our students—but it’s more important for the teachers. ~Bob  Instructors, in my book, are the number one people in this industry, across the board, that suffer the most from being in the water. That’s due to all the chemicals, but also due to all the new people using the pool on a daily basis. ~Mike  Most of the time, what we do is research and develop systems of ozone, oxygen, and CO2. Those are the main elements we use. We add very few other products to the water to keep it fresh and clean. ~Mike  We want the kids to be comfortable under the water, not on top of the water. We talk about being one with the water so that they’re engaged with the water and not fighting it. ~Bob  If you could do anything with your child under the age of six, you should put them in the water on a regular basis. There’s no question they will become smarter, brighter, and faster. ~Bob  If you’re running a swim school, keep in mind the three-legged stool: It’s your water, it’s your teachers, and it’s your service. ~Bob

Join us as Pastor Noe unpacks the challenges of being a minority senior pastor and how God has used him to create a church that reflects – and reaches – North Phoenix. Key Points: The importance of being inclusive. The difference between being a staff pastor and the lead pastor. What church staff can do to encourage their senior pastor. The challenges of being the first minority pastor of a church. Changes churches can make to better reflect – and reach - their communities. It’s hard to be in the position where you feel like your skin color is a barrier and you can’t change it and you can’t run because God’s not releasing you.” — Dr. Noe GarciaClick To TweetI think we all have this inherited systematic racism to some degree where you put people in categories based off of their appearance. — Dr. Noe GarciaClick To TweetMinorities don’t want to play the part – we want to actually be an authentic part of what the gospel is calling us to do. — Dr. Noe GarciaClick To Tweet Links Mentioned in Today’s Episode: North Phoenix Baptist Church Sharper!
