Remember when frosted eyeshadow was EVERYWHERE? Freaking out that it's BACK?! Kelly and Sarah Marie are diving into decades of iconic makeup trends to find out which vintage looks deserve a spot in your 2025 rotation (and which should stay buried in the past)! From the 20s glam that inspired today's "cold girl" aesthetic to the 70s bronzed glow that TikTok can't get enough of, we're separating the timeless from the tragic (spoiler: those 90s pencil-thin brows are NEVER coming back, Youbies). Sarah Marie spills her genius hack for creating those trending soft waves without spending a fortune on tools, while the girls debate whether that ultra-glossy red lip deserves its current comeback moment. [Part 1 of 2] At fourteen years old, Christian Picciolini was lost, confused and looking for guidance. If he’d been approached by a footy coach or a skateboarder - he reckons he would have followed their lead. But instead, he was recruited by the leader of the notorious Chicago area skinheads, and found himself deeply entwined in a violent, racist and dangerous neo-nazi hate group. Today, however, Christian spends every day of his life trying to undo the harm he caused, and to help other young people disengage from hate groups. So how did Christian go from being the lead propagandist for an extremist organisation to actively working to bring them down? It’s a story you’ll have to hear to believe - and it’s a story that’s more important today than ever before. Listen to Part 2 of this conversation here. Outlouders, we have quite the little treat for your Sunday Special today. It’s been 18 months since Evelyn Jones burst onto our screens in Strife—fictional, yes, but her story couldn’t feel more real to the women who brought her to life. In this special episode of No Filter, host Jessie Stephens— one of Strife's writers and an Executive Editor on Mamamia—is joined by Mia Freedman, Asher Keddie (who plays Evelyn) and Bruna Papandrea (Executive Producer) to reflect on Season 1 and to give us a sneak peek at what’s to come in Season 2. Mia's memoir Work, Strife, Balance inspired the hit Binge series and together, these powerhouse creatives, open up about what it means to be a woman in the media and entertainment industry today—the competition, the comparisons, the fear of cancellation, and the constant balancing act between public and private life. And of course, they talk about ambition: what it costs, why it matters, and how the world still struggles when women dare to want more. Season 2 of Strife is streaming on Binge now. Georgia Love — and yes, that is her real name — has always had a lot of love to give. Almost a decade ago, she stepped onto our screens as The Bachelorette, searching for just that: love. She found it, too, forming a relationship in the public eye that captured hearts around the country. But now, almost ten years on, that same relationship is ending — also in full view of the public. Georgia is no stranger to loss — both the kind she has chosen to share with the world, and the kind she's fought fiercely to keep private. In this conversation, you'll hear: Georgia discuss losing her mum just days after her Bachelorette finale aired The very public cancellation she endured that still stings... Stepping away from her career, a heartbreaking friendship breakup, and the ways in which she's been changed by public scrutiny. And, of course, her very recent separation from her husband, and how she's picking up the pieces. Georgia has weathered more storms than most. Each time, she's picked herself up, rebuilt her life, and somehow stayed open-hearted. Resilient, vulnerable, and tougher than she often gets credit for, Georgia Love is a woman who has lived many lives in one. You can follow Georgia Love here. Leigh and Kelly dish on a luxury product that's so good it had Leigh vowing to spend her own money (beauty editor code for "absolutely worth it!") and a gorgeous winter lip tint that Kelly's ob-SESS-ed with. In a moment of pure beauty synchronicity, the duo discover they've both brought face palettes that perfectly match their personalities and they both rave over the new Mecca Max tubular mascara. But the conversation takes an entertaining turn when Kelly insists Leigh feel her remarkably soft hair—cue the "oohs" and "ahhs"—to showcase her latest treatment. You start a podcast, it's fun for about 3 weeks and then - life starts happening... recordings are getting more inconvenient, you don't know what to talk about, your guests aren't responding, everything is expensive and you have ten downloads on your episodes.I know I say this in every episode, but podcasting is hard. It's time consuming, it's expensive, it's frustrating, it's loney, and sometimes it's hard to know when it's time to quit. In this episode we'll talk about that inevitable crossroads that every podcaster will eventually find themselves in and how to know when and if it's time to quit your podcast.

Jameela Jamil may as well be Aussie, she feels like one of us—funny, unfiltered, and refreshingly nonchalant. You might know her as Tahani from The Good Place, but these days she’s just as well known for her fearless activism on body image, mental health, and gender equality. What you'll hear in this conversation: Why she refuses to give men like Andrew Tate airtime Her call to rethink the way we talk about masculinity The link between friendship and mental health Why she’s counting down to turning 40 And how she’s learnt to appreciate aging, change, and letting go of the pressure to please. Jameela doesn’t hold back—and thank god. This episode is for anyone who’s ever felt like they didn’t quite fit the mold, who’s had a complicated relationship with their body or their mind, or who simply wants to hear a refreshingly honest take on what it means to be a woman right now Jameela is currently touring the country, if you would like learn more and get tickets, follow the link here. Adam Kay knew exactly who he wanted to play him in the TV version of his life. After spending years working in hospitals across the UK, mostly in obstetrics and gynaecology, Adam—completely burnt out—took a break. What was meant to be a short pause turned into 14 years and counting. During his training in the labour wards, Adam kept a diary. Those diary entries would later become a best-selling book (This Is Going To Hurt, which sold over 5 million copies), and eventually a hit TV series starring Ben Whishaw as Adam. In this candid, emotional, and at times hilarious conversation, Adam talks about: – The human cost of being a doctor– Why mental health support in medicine is so urgently needed– What changes are essential—both in the UK and here in Australia– And… the strangest things people have turned up to hospital with inside their bodies. This episode is a must-listen for anyone who’s ever been a patient, worked in healthcare, or simply wants to understand the real cost of caring. If you'd like to see Adam Kay live in Australia, he's currently touring the country. You can look at his tour dates here. In the last episode of All the Buried Women, co-hosts Beth Allison Barr and Savannah Locke explore the story behind a confidential letter in the SBC'S archives that leads to a pastor's wife named Maria. They also look at the Southern Baptist Convention's decision to expel churches that ordain women, critiquing the rhetoric of unity and biblical authority used to justify the exclusion of women from leadership roles Last, the episode draws on the lost portrait of Saint Fabiola as a symbol of women's enduring resistance, urging listeners to recognize the hidden stories of women who continue to challenge oppressive structures in the church. We reached out to the SBC, Paige Patterson, Darryl Gilyard, Tommy Gilmore, and the Council for National Policy for comment, and did not hear back. In Episode 4 of All the Buried Women, co-hosts Beth Allison Barr and Savannah Locke share the story of Christa Brown, a sexual abuse survivor and advocate. Her experience reflects the broader issue of clergy abuse, where victims are often silenced and blamed, while abusers are protected and transferred to new congregations. The episode also highlights Pooler's research on the harmful psychological impacts of clergy sexual abuse, including PTSD rates higher than those of combat veterans, and the Southern Baptist Convention's (SBC) ongoing failure to protect victims. We reached out to the SBC, Paige Patterson, Darryl Gilyard, Tommy Gilmore, and the Council for National Policy for comment, and did not hear back. In Episode 3 of All the Buried Women, co-hosts Beth Allison Barr and Savannah Locke explore the "loopholes" that allowed women to serve in ministry within the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), despite the formal prohibition against female ordination. These loopholes included roles like professors, missionaries, and pastor's wives, which allowed women to take on leadership and preaching roles in practice, even though they were not officially recognized as ordained ministers. We reached out to the SBC, Paige Patterson, Darryl Gilyard, Tommy Gilmore, and the Council for National Policy for comment, and did not hear back.
