Ryan Swanson introduces The Cord 2.0, highlighting two big additions—Check‑In Streaks (consistency‑focused medals) and bi‑weekly 3‑minute devotional challenges—and explains why accountability tools are meant to lead us to Jesus, not replace Him as the answer. He also unpacks motivations (relationships, ministry, family) and shows how these secondary motives should funnel us back to Christ as the true source of purity and victory. You'll also hear a refresher on The Cord's core features like daily 1–10 check‑ins, 90‑second video reflections, and the SOS button rooted in Ecclesiastes 4:10 (never alone).Topics DiscussedWhy The Cord exists: daily light and never‑alone accountability (Ecc. 4)How daily 1–10 check‑ins + 90‑sec videos keep it sustainableSOS button: instant “I'm not alone” signaling during temptationThe Cord 2.0 Feature #1 – Check‑In Streaks (consistency over “purity streaks,” with medals at 7/30/100 days and beyond)The Cord 2.0 Feature #2 – Bi‑weekly 3‑minute devotional challenges (trusted preachers; keeps groups Christ‑focused)Motivation vs. the Answer: letting strong motives lead you to Jesus, not replace HimKey TakeawaysAccountability is a means, not the end; Jesus is both the end and the means of purity. The Cord 2.0's Check‑In Streaks reward consistency, closing the “skip‑a‑bad‑day” loophole and keeping daily light on your heart.Short, bi‑weekly devotionals inject life and keep the focus on Christ so groups don't drift into a “dry confessional booth.”The SOS button helps you refuse isolation: you're known, prayed for, and expected to give account—tonight.Ready to download the Cord App? Loneliness is one of the most universal human experiences—yet it can feel so personal and isolating when you're in it.In this episode, I'm breaking down the different shapes loneliness can take:The empty nest season when your kids move out.The kind of loneliness that lingers even when you're surrounded by people. The ache of wishing for deeper friendships or more genuine connection. We'll talk about why loneliness isn't always a “problem to fix,” but instead a signal with both pros and cons. You'll hear how emotional intelligence can help you:Recognize the root of your loneliness.Sit with the emotion without letting it consume you.Create self-awareness, connection, and grace in the process.Whether your life is full and busy or you're quietly longing for deeper relationships, this conversation will help you see loneliness through a new lens—one that leaves you feeling more equipped, not more alone.

The 5D Academy with Zarathustra explores universal wisdom to foster total freedom from suffering in all areas of your life; health, wealth, love, and self. Each Academy podcast contains valuable insights and takeaways to become the best version of yourself and create an authentic, fulfilling life. Zarathustra transmits 5th Dimensional Quantum frequencies in each episode with transformational tools while discussing different topics to help you maintain this new frequency in your daily life.Zarathustra has created a practical system of transmitting the truth to his audience allowing transformation and freedom from suffering. Spiritual development requires an open heart. It is virtually impossible for a seeker to advance to higher consciousness if they don't love themselves. The belief system which has been ingrained in our cellular memory from childhood that we are not good enough results in a conditioned mind. The conditioned mind holds the false belief that there is something missing in our lives, that we are incomplete, that we need to gain something in order to become happy and whole, which is not true. After a life time of searching, Zarathustra has blended a practical system of Eastern and Western methods and techniques to help the Academy members to free themselves from anxiety, negative thoughts, lack of self-love and self-acceptance and destructive emotional patterns through a systematic way to raise your vibration to 5D Vibrational Frequency, which enables you to live a vibrant life of freedom and happiness. The Key Elements To Freedom:Zarathustra recognizes continuity and consistency are the key elements to freedom. In order to help you achieve your spiritual goals, it's best to have a highly effective spiritual practice, free of dogmas, false beliefs and superstition that helps you raise your vibration to 5D Vibrational Frequency as well as the ability to maintain this newly found higher level of consciousness. This translates to a life filled with inner peace, self-love and happiness which is the goal of every spiritual seeker.New knowledge and benefits are gained with each replay. Today on Karl and Crew, we continued our weekly theme of “Spiritual Detox” with discussions about the importance of taking accountability when repenting and self-control. When we come before God in repentance, we need to own what we did and humbly surrender to Him for restoration and healing. This is affirmed in Joel 2:25, where God promises to restore Israel after the plague of locusts, because they turned back to Him and repented. We then had a special guest, Dean Sikes, join us to share his story of overcoming sexual abuse. He also told us about the work he does with teenagers in trauma recovery and suicide prevention. Dean is an author and a speaker who travels the world ministering to high schoolers, providing them with words of hope. He also hosts the national broadcast You Matter Television and has authored a book called “You Matter.” We then had Drew Dyck join us to discuss the importance of biblical self-control. Drew is an acquisitions editor with Moody Publishers and a contributing editor for Christianity Today for Pastors. He has also authored several books, including “Your Future Self Will Thank You: Secrets to Self-Control from the Bible and Brain Science.” You can hear the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast. About the Show:“Everyone with access to a smartphone and technology today has access to the global library of entertainment twenty-four seven—and we all have to build self-control around it, or we're going to develop bad habits.”Ian McCreadyIn this powerful episode of I Am Northwest Arkansas®, host Randy Wilburn sits down with Ian McCready, founder of SelfCtrl, to tackle a challenge nearly everyone faces today: technology addiction. From video games to cell phones, Ian shares his personal story of how digital devices took over his own life and what he did to change for the better. Now, he's helping others across Northwest Arkansas and beyond find hope, healthy routines, and true connection outside of screens.Randy and Ian break down why technology is so addictive, how it affects both kids and adults, and what practical steps families, schools, and individuals can take to reclaim their attention and mental well-being. Ian gives honest advice about meaningful digital detoxes, setting boundaries, and building healthier habits at any age. Whether you're a parent struggling to limit screen time or an adult hoping to break free from scrolling, this episode is full of tips and encouragement for you.Key Takeaways:Awareness is the First Step: Admitting technology has become a problem is key. You don't have to call it an “addiction”—just a habit that isn't helping you.Dopamine Demand: Games and apps are designed to keep you coming back. As tolerance builds, it takes more and more time on screens to feel the same excitement.Detox is Possible: Even short breaks from digital devices—like a 30- or 60-day digital detox—can help your brain reset and bring back lost joy and motivation. It's Not Just for Kids: Adults of all ages, not just teens, are struggling with technology overuse and its impact on work, relationships, and happiness.Replace, Don't Just Remove: Find healthy activities to fill the time you get back—walks, conversations, reading, or family games—to make new habits stick.Support Matters: Be open with friends and family about your goals for change, and ask for their support. Accountability makes a huge difference.Self-Control is Learnable: These changes are challenging but possible, and Northwest Arkansas can be a model for positive change around healthy screen use.All this and more on this episode of the I Am Northwest Arkansas® podcast.Important Links and Mentions on the Show*SelfCtrl—Website, resources, and upcoming courses: selfctrl.comDr. Jonathan Haidt's Book: “The Anxious Generation”SelfControl on Instagram & Facebook: @buildselfctrlRecommended Reading: “Atomic Habits” by James ClearFindItNWA.com NWA's Hyperlocal Business DirectoryPodcastVideos.com – Rogers, AR – Podcast video production partnersTune in to KUAF 91.3 FM to listen to the I Am Northwest Arkansas® podcast on Ozarks at Large every Tuesday at 12 Noon...

Step inside the velvet-lit world of Discothèque Decadence — where the champagne flows, the bassline smoulders, and the dancefloor becomes an irresistible spell. This set drips with the kind of late-night heat that keeps bodies moving and eyes locked. From Da Lukas & Majuri's extended temptation of “Nasty Girl”, to a hypnotic reimagining of Eurythmics' “Sweet Dreams” via Steve Angello, to my own Out of Control edit of Laura Branigan's “Self Control” — every track here has been polished for maximum seduction. You'll glide through Sade's “Paradise” given fresh life by Mark Lower & Alexandra Prince, a honeyed spin on A Taste of Honey's “Boogie Oogie Oogie”, the shimmering disco mischief of KC & The Sunshine Band in an Eric Kipper extended ride, and Kool & The Gang's “Fresh” reinvented with OnDaMike's club-ready punch. Along the way, Séamus Haji & Kathy Brown, Ken@Work, Shabi, HP Vince, Groovemasta, Chewy Rubs, Eugenio Fico & Walterino, Micky More & Andy Tee, Greg Wilson and more deliver heaters you think you know… until they arrive dressed for midnight. Warm. Sexy. Sultry. Dangerous. The sound of a dancefloor you never want to leave. Press play… and don't say I didn't warn you.

There's a moment in this conversation with 4x Olympic Champion Michael Johnson that stopped me in my tracks. He said, “Success doesn't care what you believe you deserve.”That line sums up what this episode is really about, the difference between wishing for results and doing the work required to earn them.Michael didn't become one of the most dominant athletes in history by chasing comfort. He became great by facing the hard truth. By asking himself the questions most of us avoid. And then doing something about it.In this episode, I unpack the habits Michael used throughout his life, from championship seasons to career-ending injuries to the day he was told he might never walk properly again. It's about discipline, honesty, and doing what it takes, not what feels easy.We explore:Why the best avoid shortcutsThe mindset Michael used to break recordsHow to handle setbacks without denialThe power of asking better questionsWhy doing the uncomfortable thing often leads to growthThis episode is a reminder that high performance doesn't come from believing you're ready. It comes from acting like it, even when no one's watching. Here is more information on the studies referenced: Self-Regulation and Performance in Elite Athletes (Joanne Hudson & Dave Day 2016, Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology)What Self-Awareness Really Is (and How to Cultivate It), (Dr. Tasha Eurich, Harvard Business Review)Emotion Regulation Choice (Gal Sheppes et al. 2012)Mindset: The New Psychology of Success (Carol Dweck)Self-Control and Grit (Angela Duckworth et al. What if the key to mental clarity, emotional resilience, and real self-control wasn't something you had to buy - but something you've had all along? Will explores how breathwork - a practice rooted in ancient wisdom and now supported by modern neuroscience - profoundly reshapes the way you think, feel, and respond to stress. Whether you're skeptical or already curious, this conversation will challenge how you relate to your own body and invite you to slow down, breathe intentionally, and discover what's been hidden in plain sight.Feeling stuck? If you need help getting out of your rut, Will can help. Head to willnotfear.com to learn more about his coaching to get you off the hamster wheel and start making better decisions.
