Looking to add more confidence, boldness and fun to your life? I sat down with Mignonne Gavigan, the Founder of the unique and bold jewelry line Mignonne Gavigan to talk about how jewelry can impact your mood, boost confidence, create a sense of adventure and more. Mignonne shares her journey as a founder and how she mantains her well-being with all of the pulls on her time. Mignonne and Kristel also talk about how jewelry and accesories can help you branch out and step out of your comfort zone in a fun way. Tune in now! Key Takeaways from This Episode: How jewelry and accessories and positively impact our mood How jewelry can boost confidence A look into being bold A look into the brand Mignonne Gavigan An inside look at being a Founder How to support your well-being as a Founder Kristel was gifted a pair of Blush Madeline earrings which she was wearing during the interview. About Mignonne Gavigan At Mignonne Gavigan, accessories are the perfect finishing touch. We believe jewelry improves our overall mood. We love the carefree experience of layering and truly believe more is more. We also love the moment of wearing one treasure that lifts your spirit and brings joy. Our philosophy is that sophistication and playfulness can coexist. We aim to thoughtfully design one-of-a-kind pieces that tell a story of handmade craftsmanship and faraway travels. Our approach stems from Maggie's love of art, nature, architecture and textiles bringing all together in jewelry. We believe what you wear should bring you joy, maybe even encourage you to take a few risks. With partners in India and Asia, we create modern designs informed by 100-year-old heritage techniques. Signature styles include the scarf necklace, decadent statement earrings, dreamy intricately detailed brooches, and bracelets. Mignonne Gavigan launched in 2014. It was a bit spontaneous. Mignonne, "Maggie", was experimenting with a beaded couture vintage gown and an embellished piece of fabric fell to the floor. She picked it up and fastened it around her neck because she thought it was a cool scarf vibe. On her walk home through Soho a handful of compliments and questions on where she had gotten her necklace came about and the first Mignonne Gavigan design idea was born. She always knew she wanted to create a brand, a community and a workplace that were all built on kindness and happiness. Maggie launched Mignonne Gavigan jewelry in hopes that each piece would bring joy and happiness to the wearer. Ultimately what she's discovered is that women develop a significant amount of confidence when wearing an MG piece. That is so important to the MG team- that we are building a community of confident and joy-filled women. She developed successful campaigns in branding and commercials, including TOMS Shoes. Paige then decided to create her own clothing line - sewing, dying, and designing each piece herself. Her beloved brand, Aviator Nation, was established in 2006 with the focus to create quality Made in America clothing. Another goal for Paige was to connect fashion with music while raising funds for charities and generating an awareness of our collective consciousness. Today Aviator Nation is a multi-million dollar business with 16 store locations across the US – including event space Dreamland in Malibu and wellness studio, RIDE, in Santa Monica - and a factory in downtown Los Angeles that employs over 300 people. The garments are still Made in America after 15 years and Paige continues to inspire other companies to push the limits on manufacturing local. With a passion for philanthropy, she has worked with a variety of nonprofits including Charity Water; Surf Aid; Heal the Bay; The Flatwater Foundation; and Global Citizen with proceeds aiding in their ongoing campaign to end poverty. The brand also has partnerships with SXSW, Austin City Limits Music Festival; Lollapalooza Music Festival; and with John Mayer's previous concert tours. When users track and complete a daily fitness activity (like walking 10K steps, exercising for 30 minutes or taking a partner studio class), Vizer partners donate a meal with U.S. food banks to populations in need. Users also earn points towards better-for-you rewards at restaurants, retail and online. Since launching Vizer nationwide in 2019 with her cousin and close friend, Dylan Barbour, the platform has converted more than 2.5 million workouts into meal donations distributed through U.S. food banks. Pantazopoulos graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Diego in 2017, where she majored in business administration. She is the recipient of multiple social entrepreneurship awards and was named the Rising Star Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2019 Women's Venture Summit.
