These infiltrators pretend to seek debate but aim to control and destroy the movement, much like Marxists and Islamists. Joe Kent, the former deputy at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, is a reportedly serial leaker who was hostile to President Trumo's agenda and rejected the commander-in-chief's decisions on military operations. His resignation letter, written publicly for the press and Democrats rather than privately to the president, is intentionally crafted to create controversy, undermine the president's war effort against, question the existence of an imminent threat, give aid and comfort to enemies, and dishonor current military personnel. There is no divide among MAGA supporters. President Trump has our unanimous support. But there are a small group of malcontent podcasters who appeal mainly to leftists who are trashing the country, Trump and the military while placing acolytes in the administration to undermine both Trump and U.S. military. What did slavery actually look like in the everyday lives of Jews in the medieval Middle East? In this episode, Rabbi Marc Katz sits down with historian Craig Perry to discuss his groundbreaking book Slavery and the Jews of Medieval Egypt: A History (Princeton UP, 2026). Drawing on the extraordinary archive of the Cairo Geniza, Perry reconstructs a hidden world of enslaved people, merchants, and households in medieval Egypt. These fragments—letters, contracts, and legal questions preserved for centuries in a synagogue—reveal how slavery shaped Jewish and Islamic society at the crossroads of the Mediterranean and Indian Ocean worlds. From global slave trading networks that stretched from Europe and Africa to India, to the intimate spaces of kitchens and courtyards, Perry uncovers how enslaved people lived, labored, resisted, and sometimes entered Jewish communities after gaining their freedom. The story even reframes familiar rituals: medieval Jewish children could look around the Passover table and see slavery embodied in the people serving the meal. Together, Perry and Katz explore how this overlooked history forces us to rethink medieval Jewish life, the social realities behind religious texts, and the complex entanglements of Jews with the broader Arab-Islamic world. So they tried to arrest him, but no one laid a hand upon him, because his hour had not yet come. Reflection Jesus is coming to the end of his public ministry and he realizes that there's little hope for these men to change their minds and open their hearts to him. And so, in a way, he screams out things to them. Such as you think you know me? You don't know me at all. And they say, No we know a messiah, we know about him and you're not him. So it's interesting that expectations that we have about who God is and how he works are so crucial to be in line with the truth. We want to know who this Jesus is and how he works in our life today. That's our task. That's the work of Lent. Closing Prayer Father, expectations of who you are is crucial for us in terms of being receptive of the great gift to your indwelling presence. Tim and Mary take on another news cycle, once again we see the shadows of the longest hatred: antisemitism. It is not going to improve but rather those with a demonic agenda will continue to take things to a very dark place, inviting judgment. The world hates the light because their deeds are evil, how much brighter should we shine.

In this quick but powerful shiur on Vayakhel-Pekudei, Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe shares an insight from Rabbi Yaakov Nagel (Senior Rabbi of Heimish of Houston) about the unique double-sided drapes (Yeri'ot) in the Mishkan. While most embroidery (Ma'asei Choshev) was identical on both sides, one special curtain at the entrance to the Kodesh HaKodashim (Holy of Holies) featured a completely different image on the inner side—yet no human ever saw it. The Kohen Gadol entered once a year, performed the Yom Kippur service, and exited backward, never turning to view the inner curtain. So why invest in an unseen design?Rabbi Wolbe explains: It teaches that Hashem's perspective often differs radically from ours. We may undervalue a mitzvah (thinking it's "small") or ourselves (feeling unworthy or limited), but Hashem sees infinite worth. A simple act—holding back lashon hara, a quiet prayer, a moment of restraint—may earn unimaginable reward in heaven. Conversely, we sometimes overestimate our deeds. The hidden curtain reminds us: some mitzvot and personal potentials are visible only to Hashem, whose valuation transcends human sight. Daily Dose of Hope March 18, 2026   Scripture: Romans 10   Prayer:   Almighty God, We thank you for a new day and we praise your perfect name.  We are grateful that your mercies are new every single morning.  Help us see you in this day.  Help us recognize your voice.  Lord, help us reflect you today in our words.  Help us reflect you in our behavior.  Help us remember who and whose we are.  In Your Name, Amen.   Welcome back to the Daily Dose of Hope, the devotional and podcast that complements the New Hope Church daily Bible reading plan.  We are currently working our way through Paul's letters chronologically.  We are now in our sixth pastoral letter, the book of Romans.   Today's reading is Romans 10.  Romans 10 is packed with substance.  There are two things that strike me in this chapter.  First is Paul's discussion about the heart.  He is making an argument that the law is not what makes someone righteous, but their belief in Jesus.  He is speaking of a new circumcision, essentially, a circumcision of the heart.  It isn't about what we do or what is done to us (in the case of a baby boy being circumcised), it is about our heart.  Do we believe in Jesus?  Do we love Jesus?  Have we made a commitment in our heart to Jesus Christ?    Keep in mind this was a total 180 degrees from what the Jews knew and believed.  I think sometimes we are pretty hard on the Jews.  Why don't they just believe?  Well, this was really different from everything they had been taught about being right with God.  Paul seems to get this struggle and it frames his arguments with Hebrew people.  He is anguished that they don't believe.  While it is a huge shift, he knows how much better life is when Christ is at the center.  As we can all imagine, the law (works) is a terrible thing to build your life around because you are never good enough.  On the other hand, with Jesus, he has declared us good enough because of his saving work on the cross, not because of anything we have done or haven't done.  This totally levels the playing field, as Paul expresses in verse 12.  It doesn't matter if one is Jew or Greek for all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.  This is great news, everyone!   The other piece that made an impression on me this morning was Paul's emphasis on sharing the good news.  Starting with verse 14, he writes, How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"  And that is still the case today, isn't it?  How can anyone know if they have never heard?  I think we make the assumption that most people around us, like neighbors, coworkers, golf buddies, and gym friends, know about Jesus.  Often, people have a vague idea about Jesus or even an incorrect view of Jesus.  Yet, they must know and profess Jesus to be saved.  I've also learned that some people, especially younger ones, truly have no idea what it means to believe in Jesus Christ.    Friends, the harvest is tremendous but the workers are few.  How can they believe if they have not heard?   Blessings, Pastor Vicki

On Monday's Mark Levin Show, there is an ongoing effort to hijack the conservative movement and MAGA, which is rooted in the Tea Party and constitutional conservatism. We reject any defense of the Third Reich, attacks on Christians, Jews, or Israel, and sabotage from within. True patriots focus on real threats like illegal immigration, Islamism, economic socialism, ideological Marxism, and figures from George Soros to the woke Reich neo-fascists. These infiltrators pretend to seek debate but aim to control and destroy the movement, much like Marxists and Islamists. President Trump independently learned about this ongoing internal battle within the conservative movement and MAGA and posted a supportive message to Mark Levin on Truth Social. The post reaffirms MAGA's commitment to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and achieving peace through strength and dismisses critics like Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly. Trump threw down the gauntlet against neo-fascists, anti-Semitism, Nazism, and character assassination. Also, Joy Reid said women in Iran have it better than in America. She's free to leave and join Carlson in Qatar or, she might enjoy the life of a woman in Iran. And do the so-called women's groups even exist anymore? The past few years have seen the most shocking abuse of women by Hamas and Iran and mostly crickets. Later, Director of the Ronald Reagan Institute Roger Zakheim calls in and explains that Trump is doing the right thing in Iran. The effort is going well and the United States and its military are winning, though mainstream media fails to report this positively. Zakheim believes President Reagan would thank Trump for finishing the war against Iran, which began its acts of terrorism in the Persian Gulf during Reagan's presidency. Reflection It's fascinating to look at the different ways in which Jesus used his power to heal. Sometimes people begged him to do it. Sometimes someone touched him and he didn't even know that he was then healing them. And there's this story where this man just was simply asked, Would you like to be better? But you like to be healed? The man didn't ask him for that. So what I'm hearing in this is that there's this way in which this love that God has for you and me is so connected to the healing power that he had. It is not something that has to be earned or worked for as much as it's simply something that has to be believed in. Do you want God to heal you of things? Do you want to change? Do you want to let go of patterns of behavior that have been part of you, but you know somehow they're not healthy for you? That's all we need to have, giving him permission to do his work. Closing Prayer Father, during the season of Lent, give us that wisdom that we need to have in terms of reflection on things that we might be caught up in that we need to be released from. One of our responsibilities in this world is to care about our fellow Jew and to do whatever we can to help bring them closer to Hashem. Hashem yearns for a relationship with all of His children, and there are so many who do not even know who He is. At times, a person may feel disheartened. He may have tried again and again to influence others in a positive way and yet has not seen any results. The yetzer hara whispers that perhaps his efforts are accomplishing nothing. But the truth is exactly the opposite. The Mishnah in Pirkei Avot teaches: לא עליך המלאכה לגמור ולא אתה בן חורין להיבטל ממנה . It is not upon you to complete the work, but neither are you free to desist from it. Our responsibility is not to produce results. Our responsibility is to make the effort. Results are never in our control, but effort always is. And in the eyes of Hashem, it is the effort that matters most. If a person is fortunate enough to see the fruits of his labor, that is a gift. But very often, those fruits are not seen until much later—sometimes even generations later. The Gemara tells us that in the zechut of the forty-two korbanot that Balak brought, he merited to have Ruth as a descendant. Although his intentions were not pure, he still performed an act that had value, and that act bore fruit years later in a way he could never have imagined. A person's actions always accomplish something, even if he never sees the results. Every effort to bring another Jew closer to Hashem is infinitely precious. When those efforts are done לשם שמים , there is even greater blessing placed upon them. The Gerrer Rebbe had an extraordinary love for Shabbat and worked tirelessly to inspire others to observe it. One of his initiatives was to have women in the community distribute Shabbat candles with matches on Fridays to anyone willing to take them. One day, a completely non-observant couple passed by, and a woman offered them candles for Shabbat. Not wanting to offend her, they took four candles, implying they would use them for two weeks, although in truth they had no intention of lighting them even once. They placed the candles in the backseat of their car and drove away. The husband worked as a tour guide. A few days later, he was leading a group of wealthy tourists to explore a large cave. As they approached the cave, he turned on his flashlight—only to discover that the battery had died. Panic began to set in. He feared the group would be upset and that it would cost him financially. Then he suddenly remembered the candles in his car. He ran back, retrieved them, and divided the group into smaller sections, giving each group a candle to hold. The experience turned out to be far more beautiful than anyone had expected. The soft glow of the candles created an atmosphere that was far more powerful than a simple flashlight. The group was so impressed that they gave him a very generous tip and spoke enthusiastically about the experience. That night, the man began thinking about those candles. He felt that they had brought him unexpected blessing and wanted to understand more about them. He approached a religious Jew and asked about the significance of Shabbat candles. He was told that they bring peace into the home, as light allows a person to function calmly and pleasantly. The man responded that he already had electricity and did not need candles. The other Jew explained that Shabbat candles are not just about light—they create a special atmosphere that honors the sanctity of Shabbat. He invited the man and his wife to join him for a Shabbat meal. They accepted. Experiencing the beauty of Shabbat—the warmth, the singing, the divrei Torah—made a deep impression on them. That single experience became the beginning of a journey that eventually led them to become fully observant. All of this came from a simple act—handing out a few Shabbat candles. That one small effort ultimately brought back not only a couple, but generations that would come from them. We never know the impact of even the smallest action. A word of encouragement, a smile, an invitation, a simple act of care—each one has the potential to change a life. It is not our role to see the results. It is our role to act. Hashem takes those actions and brings them to fruition in ways far beyond what we can imagine.

Years ago I heard a friend tell about a scene from his childhood that he never forgot. My friend was around on that black day in 1929 that marked the beginning of the Great Depression. One of the great traumas of America's financial collapse, of course, was that many banks just went under almost overnight. Well, my friend literally remembered seeing a neighbor at the locked gates of his bank, and he was literally pounding his fists bloody on those gates, screaming at the top of his lungs, "Give me my money! Give me my money!" There was no money to give. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "The Danger of Being Religious." That desperate man, and millions like him, placed their security in an institution. An institution that sure seemed safe but that ultimately and suddenly failed them. A lot of church folks are making that mistake today. Did you know that? Placing their eternal security in their church; in believing its beliefs, attending its meetings, even taking church leadership. Sadly, none of that's enough to get your sins forgiven or to get you into God's heaven. Sometimes religious folks argue over which church is the right church. Well, in Jeremiah's time there was no argument. God's people were the Jews and their temple was God's self-declared house on earth. But even that wasn't enough. In our word for today from the Word of God, in Jeremiah 7, beginning with verse 10, God says, "You come and stand before Me in this house, which bears my Name, and you say 'We are safe'...'But I have been watching,' declares the Lord." God goes on to point out the sin in their lives - sin that no amount of "church" can make right. He goes on to describe His pending destruction of what God calls (listen to these words) "the temple you trust in." Boy, that's the danger of being religious. You tend to trust in your religiousness instead of in Christ. Christianity will never get anyone to heaven. Only Christ can get you there. Only Christ died to pay for the sin that disqualifies every one of us from going to heaven. Jesus established the Church to represent Him on earth, to do His work on earth. But church can be the most dangerous place in the world if that's where your trust is. Christianity is all about Jesus, but it can actually cause you to miss Jesus. It's called false security; feeling like you're okay with God because you speak the language, you agree with the teachings, and you've been around it all these years. Why, no one would even question that you have a relationship with Jesus - except Jesus. And He's the only One who matters. Could it be that somehow in the midst of a religion all about Jesus you've missed a personal relationship with Jesus even while you've been a good church person for a long time? Jesus described some active church folks to whom He will say on Judgment Day, "I never knew you" (Matthew 7:21-23). Somehow, they have never actually given themselves in total faith to the One who died to pay for their sins. There has to be that time when you say, "Jesus, some of those sins You died for were mine, and I have no hope of heaven except You and what You did on the cross for me. So beginning right now, Jesus, I'm yours." Have you taken that step? I would say that if you don't know, you probably haven't. If you've missed it, don't go another day without moving Christ from your head to your heart... from being a belief to being your own personal Savior. Tell Him today, "Jesus, I'm yours." The church you've trusted in, the religion you've trusted in, the goodness you've trusted in are inadequate substitutes for the real thing - putting your total trust in Jesus. This week on the Mark Levin Show, the ISIS attack in New York carried out by two young immigrants is unfortunately only the beginning of such incidents. Iran has pre-positioned hit squads because of the Biden administration's open borders and Democratic leaders like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries. Mayor Mamdani's response to this terrorism was appalling. Then, for the media, and now for most politicians, what's most important is not winning this war against Iran AND ensuring it's not replaced by another monstrous regime, but the price of gasoline on a daily basis. Of course, when phony climate change policies were being instituted and drove up the price of gasoline, oil, electricity, automobiles, etc., we didn't get a daily barrage of such reports. But now, we even get charts and other graphics showing us the day-to-day increase in gasoline. If this military campaign is ended prematurely, and the second phase of ensuring the institution of a civil government is not accomplished, chances are this entire effort will be for naught. The economic, geo-political, and national security gains, which have been immense, and the stated goal of liberating the Iranian people, which initiated this process, could become a disaster in every respect -- including political. The ruling class elitists in Europe and America betrayed their countries by refusing honest debate about uncontrolled immigration of Islamists. These elites encouraged and allowed overwhelming border surges, motivated partly by Islamist strategies to conquer the West. In the U.S., Democrats pursued open borders, try to defund enforcement like ICE to build a future voting base of illegal immigrants. Islamists will vote Democrat temporarily before ultimately destroying both parties and taking over, as seen in parts of Europe, NYC, and Dearborn. The NYC terrorist attack is an example: two young Muslim men, inspired by ISIS, attempted to bomb an anti-Islamist protest, shouting "Allahu Akbar" but the devices failed. Mainstream media and Democrats downplayed or obscured the Islamist terrorist motive, framing it vaguely as devices at an anti-Muslim rally, condemning Islamophobia instead, and avoiding the truth of a near-mass-casualty jihadist attack, which the speaker sees as part of a broader pattern of cover-up by media and elites who tolerate or support such threats. Later, the SAVE America act is a no brainer and Democrats desperately oppose it because they benefit from fraudulent practices enabled by big-city political machines. Sen Chuck Schumer acts like a modern George Wallace by insisting everyone should vote—not just legal voters—allowing illegal ballots, double voting, or votes for the deceased to neutralize legitimate votes. Much of this fraud is allegedly legalized, making proof difficult and necessitating stricter statutes like voter ID requirements. The United States is a nation at war with itself, dividing Americans into two sides: patriotic, red-blooded citizens who love their country on one side, and elected Democrats in Washington—along with their operatives, Marxists, Islamists, the woke Reich neo-fascists—on the other. The Democrat Party policies undermine national security and sovereignty, such as opening borders to unvetted illegal aliens for years, allowing dangerous individuals to remain in the country. There are escalating attacks targeting Jews and Jewish facilities, such as the attack on the Temple Israel synagogue in Michigan.
