BEST OF: What exactly is Project Bluebeam? Proposed by writer Serge Monast in a 1994 paper titled “NASA's Project Blue Beam: Fake Alien Invasion,” it would involve hoaxed archeological finds uncovered from manufactured earthquakes and holographic projections of religious figures all intended to bring about a One World Religion and One World Government. But the paper includes all the same contemporary conspiracy talking points, from a cashless society and mind control devices to global police-state control and concentration camps. It was also clearly inspired by science fiction like the Law of One. Now that the public has been given a sort of public approval to discus the UFO, rebranded UAP in 2017, and now that the government is openly considering an official “disclosure,” Bluebeam is being revived. He claimed the Trump administration is looking into stopping weather control and fixing energy issues, something UFO-tech could, if our imaginations are true, assist with to revolutionize the world. Dr Greer claims that the current coverup has left us in slavery and poverty… but not to worry because the UFO could bring us peace. He goes on to describe how Trump knows about wireless free energy, especially because of his uncle John G. Trump having handled many of the so-called Tesla papers. Greer also accused Elon Musk of lying about what corporations have in regard to the UFO. The overall theme of the interview was nothing more than the espousing of a religion. Dr Greer believes all the bad things are caused by humans and all the good things can be offered by the UFO. They will save us from pollution, economic insecurity, and even war. They will bring us the peace of a universal savior. These are all themes we also find linked to UFO abductions, which may have a strong connection to deep unconscious psychological fears. What is truly interesting is that all of these statements are reminiscent of other ideologies: The idea that the President has some secret knowledge that the public also somehow knows, but he can't disclose it for national security reasons, but he might if we are good, truly stinks of the Q-Anon cult. The idea that UFOs can save us from energy problems, pollution and weather related phenomena is just a more supernatural take on the climate change cult - humans are bad, etc., but either technocrats or aliens will be our saviors. But the idea that these craft have humanity's best interest in mind is based on shocking assumptions about dozens of different things: much of which is fallacy and our perception of time in regard to why they haven't just killed us already. If that wasn't enough, Dan Farah, the guy who produced Ready Player One, released a new documentary on UFOs at SXSW. This documentary explores the ideas of why UFO information cannot be revealed necessarily - because it would be unsafe to disclose what other countries could turn into weapons, something Dr Greer also claimed in the former interview. In other words, UFO disclosure would result in societal destruction. How interesting that this idea has been around since 1961 when NASA submitted “Proposed Studies on the Implications of Peaceful Space Activities for Human Affairs” to the U.S. Congress. Otherwise known as the Brookings Report, the document states: “Anthropological files contain many examples of societies, sure of their place in the universe, which have disintegrated when they had to associate with previously unfamiliar societies espousing different ideas and different life ways; others that survived such an experience usually did so by paying the price of changes in values and attitudes and behavior." This paragraph became part of the UFO-mythos with people still debating today if UFOs would destroy society by simply revealing their presence, something that would also happen if the Federal government revealed the same. This is all speculation, anecdotal, and subjective. Therefore much of this talk about disclosure is another version of the Epstein file release. There is something else lurking in the shadows. And if one were worried about the Carol Rosin statement - 'And remember Carol, the last card is the alien card. We're going to have to build space based weapons against aliens,' and all of it, he said, is a lie” - it should be known that there only need be a “threat,” not an alien invasion or project Bluebeam, which itself was only a theory proposed Serge Monast in the 1990s. And that THREAT was already identified; it has been with us the whole time. The UFO is inherently a threat. Recall the “Preliminary Assessment: UAP” report, released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in 2021: “UAP pose a hazard to safety of flight and could pose a broader danger if some instances represent sophisticated collection against U.S. military activities by a foreign government or demonstrate a breakthrough aerospace technology by a potential adversary.” This then brings us to the Club of Rome and its original report called “The First Global Revolution,” which discusses in 1991: “In searching for the new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. In their totality and in their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which demands the solidarity of all peoples. But in designating them as the enemy, we fall into the trap about which we have already warned, namely mistaking symptoms for cause. All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changing attitudes and behaviors that they can be overcome. This week we're re-airing a conversation with had with Melanie Ford last year. Introduction - Melanie's backstoryMelanie Ford is the Senior Director of Construction for the University of Georgia Office of the University Architects. Before her move to the university, she worked for 20 years as a contractor and a Vice President of Whitsel Construction Services. She's the Georgia Chapter President for the Construction Owners of America and one of the co-founders and current President of Athens Area Women in Construction. Melanie shares about how a stressful project in an architecture class drove her into building science. She shares about how the dean of a professor told her that a woman wouldn't be able to tell “some 50-year-old, hard-hat-wearing man where the hell he can put his steel.” She shares about the challenges of finding a position in construction when she graduated, but a couple decades later, she is still happy with her choice to go into construction. She then tells us a bit about her family's move to Athens, Georgia.Melanie's work at UGAMelanie explains what it is that she does at the University of Georgia. She oversees all construction on campus, including major capital projects and major renovations. She and her department are responsible for ensuring architectural and construction continuity across campus. She tells us a bit about the significant increase in sports-related construction, including large softball and tennis stadium projects. In addition to that, there are the ongoing renovations of buildings constructed in the 1950s. Eddie asks about how the challenges differ between different types of projects. Melanie talks about a few of her favorite projects. Project Managers Eddie asks Melanie to provide feedback to project managers from an owner's perspective. She starts with thoughts about the importance of doing your research ahead of time in order to be aware of current conditions in a building set for renovation. She talks about timelines that were unnecessarily extended due to school-year schedules. She points out that many PMs tend to keep information and problems to themselves. This can be frustrating to people in positions like Melanie's because they often have resources and connections to solve those problems.Eddie asks about the bidding process in the university domain, which leads to a conversation about task-order contracting. She explains how this approach works with smaller contracts and lists of pre-approved contractors. We explore the ins and outs of the approval process for this group of contractors and how it is used by various governmental entities. Melanie says that owner-contractor relationships result in task-order projects being completed on time more often than hard-bid projects. Melanie discusses the types of feedback she provides to contractors who ask what changes they could make in order to increase their chances of future work with the university.Project initiation and design-buildEddie asks about the process a project goes through from the point of conception to completion. Melanie talks us through the process that sometimes involves legislators, wealthy donors. She gives an example of an unexpected connection between botanical gardens and a porcelain collection. She then walks us through the steps of a hypothetical project. Eddie asks Melanie for her opinion on design-build. She explains that she's not a huge fan of this approach in most cases. She says that she feels like the owner loses a certain amount of control because of the chain of command that results. She prefers for the builder, the designer, and the owner to perceive one another as peers. She also mentions that the historical character of campus architecture can suffer as a result of design-build dynamics. Eddie shares about a complicated, somewhat messy arrangement he experienced in a project a few years ago and asks Melanie for her thoughts. She shares her insights about the vision-setting, information exchange, and communication complications that can arise with unusual arrangements. Melanie shares a humorous story about how she was introduced to Bluebeam. Eddie shares some thoughts about the importance of old-school communication: actual talking.
