Now, regardless of what we have to say about this movie, I have to point out that this film was clearly doomed from the start. What was John Chu thinking when he signed on to direct? If you're going to adapt a cartoon about a musical group, how could you choose anything other than that under-appreciated classic “Jabberjaw”?! I mean, really, how can you top a talking shark who does an impression of Curly Howard while using Rodney Dangerfield's classic catchphrase “I don't get no respect!” Comedy gold! I'm thinking Ryan Reynolds for Biff, Margot Robie for Bubbles, Megan Fox as Shelley, Jared Leto as Clamhead, and Sir Ian McKellen as the voice of a CGI Jabberjaw. My god, it writes itself! Hanna-Barbera, you're sitting on an untapped gold mine! You could make the underwater world of the show a kind of dystopian, post-apocalyptic setting! Think “Waterworld” meets “Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space”! Have your people call my people! You hear people in the conspiracy community mention Project Blue Beam as a government program. Some even state it as fact as being a program under NASA. But did you know there is no actual program called "Project Blue Beam?" It was a term given by author Serge Monast to illustrate a point (no pun intended) that government my be able to project holographic images in the sky to deceive the public. There isn't a Project Blue Beam under NASA, even if NASA satelites and such might be used for some projection image (which we also have no proof they are doing or will do). We have to be careful when citing something as fact that was made up by someone and caught on. We can only speculate what the government might do with technology.

The doctor is in....the box.  That's one way to describe how patients are now encountering their physicians in what's being described as the future of telehealth. Imagine that instead of a cancer patient in a rural area driving hours for an appointment to see their specialist at an academic health center, they can go to their local clinic and see a life-size, real-time, 3-D projection of them in a seven foot tall light box.  The doctor can see the patient through two-way video, and is assisted by a clinician in the exam room. The technology behind this remarkable scene is provided by a Los Angeles based start-up called Proto Hologram, whose founder and chairman, David Nussbaum, joins us on this episode of Raise the Line from Elsevier. "Our holograms start where Zoom ends and where physically being there begins," says Nussbaum, a TIME Healthcare100 honoree who has spent the last decade developing commercial and educational applications for holograms.  In addition to clinical settings, Proto units are being used at medical schools and senior living facilities and are playing a role in public health campaigns about breast cancer and vaccines.
