Chris Evans delivers his line well here. Tony does his usual thing.Back with Natasha, she's now hiding from Hulk, who seems to have learned the art of tiptoeing. Why is he so quiet? And why has he decided to specifically single her out as his target? Wouldn't he normally forget about her shortly after losing sight of her? Thanks to our special guest Josh from The Craft Beercast. Talk with us on Twitter and Reddit. Links from the discussion… It's weird exactly who is and isn't worthy to lift Mjolnir. In the comics, Captain America can and has lifted it. In the movie, the Avengers did not time travel. They travelled to different timelines (multiverses). The multiverse is much better fleshed out now than when Endgame came out. In the comics, time travel is far easier and messier. There's just a lot going on with Time Travel/Multiple universes in this movie. Smart Hulk (Technically Professor Hulk and Jay's personal favorite Hulk) The ending of the Infinity Saga is nothing how it was in the comics. It's completely different. The only thing that is even remotely close is Captain America's last stand. News you can abuse! Norman Reedus as Ghost Rider? Eternals comes to Disney + this week!

Welcome listeners to our latest episode, where we review the latest Marvel Studios film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings! In this spoiler-filled episode, we'll discuss the comics that formed the basis for the film, the kung fu films that influenced and shaped it, and how it ties into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Plus, there will be the usual nonsense that you've grown accustomed to.Created by Steve Englehart and Jim Starlin back in 1973, Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu, was on the leading edge of the martial arts craze. Inspired in large part by the ABC TV show Kung Fu, Englehart and Starlin developed the idea of the noble Shang-Chi, who rebelled against his father, the villainous Fu Manchu, who had trained him to be a living weapon. Premiering in Special Marvel Edition 15, Shang-Chi took over the title and had a long successful run for many years. He would frequently show up in other characters' titles as well, such as Spider-Man and Iron Man. He was always a street-level character, using his martial arts skills to fight bad guys in stories with more of an espionage tone. The film takes the basic idea -an idealistic hero whose father is a criminal overlord - but very little of the comic book background remains. Despite this, it's highly enjoyable. It borrows heavily from Jackie Chan films at the beginning, but then moves on to take more of a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon approach. Much of the movie's strength comes from its characters. Shang-Chi, as portrayed by Simu Liu, is very likeable and has a sort of everyman quality, despite turning out to be a master of kung fu. The actor actually does many of his own stunts and fight scenes. Awkwafina plays Shang-Chi's best friend, Katy, who provides some comic relief as well as a stalwart friend to go on his journey. The ever amazing Michelle Yeoh appears as Shang-Chi's aunt and quite a martial artist herself. And a major surprise to us, Ben Kingsley makes a return appearance as Trevor Slattery, the besotted actor who played the Mandarin in Iron Man 3. He has some of the funniest scenes in the movie, and they don't feel gratuitous or over the top. The titular ten rings, which in the comics were actual rings that the Mandarin wore on his fingers, are arm bands here. These rings can be used in a variety of ways, which is shown by the different ways that Shang-chi and his father use them. His father tends to use them solely for destructive purposes. Shang-Chi is much more creative in how he uses the rings. Certainly the rings give Shang-Chi a power level far beyond what he has had in the comics. Based off the mid-credits scene, they may have a significant history in the MCU.There were a couple of very interesting cameos in the film too. Wong, from the Dr. Strange films, and the Abomination, from 2008's Hulk, are seen battling in the fight club. There are so many questions! It seems like they are working together to make a little moola. How did that happen?Of course, we also saw Bruce Banner and Capt. Marvel. And we do mean Banner, not Professor Hulk. So what happened to him? How did he turn back into Banner? Will we find out in the She-Hulk series on Disney Plus? The film is a story about family, about revenge, and redemption. Like most Marvel films, it is these elements that make it so relatable. The end sets things up for the possibility that Shang-Chi could be fighting against his sister. We will see. In any case, Shang-Chi appears to be ready to take on a bigger role in the MCU as phase 4 moves forward. For our Sensor Sweep, Karen has a big honkin' book to share: the Master of Kung Fu omnibus volume 1. This hardback collection of Shang-Chi stories includes his first appearance from Special Marvel Edition 15 up through Master of Kung Fu 37, and includes Giant-Size Master of Kung Fu 1-4,  Giant-Size Spider-Man 2, and Iron Man Annual 4. This is a great way to get your Shang-Chi fix! You can check for it at your local comic shop, or check out Amazon. We also wanted to "catch up" with everyone. So we shared a little about what we have been doing. Bob had been busy with Godzillafest the last few weeks. He held back to back weekend events in August. You can go to Bayareafilmevents.com and check out the Video section to see what was going on! He also helped out with a turtle rescue by helping set up a turtle shelter in his backyard for a bunch of turtles.Karen plugs her appearance on her friend Billy D's Magazines and Monsters podcast, dropping this September 16th. The Hulk’s creation in 1962 was partly a result of the Cold War. His origin story is not only a metaphor for the fear and tension that permeated society during that time, but also a literal depiction of the capability of nuclear power. On this episode, Evan and Lorraine trace the evolution of The Hulk through the eyes of his creators, and look at how subsequent comic book runs have added pieces to the puzzle—from carefree Professor Hulk to seedy Gray Hulk to World War Hulk. And with the help of a psychologist, they dive into the psychology of the Hulk and Bruce Banner, and what they can tell us about anger.

It didn't take long after my son was diagnosed for someone to tell us, "Kid first, diabetes second." Benny was diagnosed in 2006, but that phrase has been around a long time in the diabetes parenting community. I get it. We shouldn't take away all the things that make childhood fun and special, because of a diagnoses of T1D. We also don’t want diabetes to be the first thing people think about when they consider our children and we don’t want diabetes to dictate every decision we make. But the more I think about it, more I think that phrase misses the mark. Check out Stacey's new book: The World's Worst Diabetes Mom! Join the Diabetes Connections Facebook Group! Learn more at Diabetes connections.com   Announcer This is Diabetes Connections with Stacey Simms.   Stacey Simms   0:26 Welcome to a mini episode of the show. I'm your host, Stacey Simms, and I'm really glad that you joined me for this now these episodes I do occasionally are more. I'd call them more editorials. I do interview shows week by week if you're a longtime listener, you know that but this year I added in these mini episodes these minisodes just me, I am not a medical expert. This is more mom to mom advice. Just from my experience as a longtime parent of a child with type 1 diabetes, what I've learned and what I think can help. My son was diagnosed with type one when he was 23 months old.   Stacey Simms   1:00 that was back in 2006. He is now 15 and a sophomore in high school. Oh, my goodness, he is he's very comfortable with diabetes is very confident. He's very independent. And while we are far from perfect, we are doing a great job according to our endocrinologist, and that's all I really need to hear. This subject has been on my mind for a while. So let's just get into it. I want to talk about the saying, kid first, diabetes. Second. It's been around our community for a very long time, probably longer than I've been a part of the community almost 14 years now. But I just don't think it works. It doesn't work for me. I don't think it works for anybody. So let's talk about it. What is kid first diabetes second all about? I think we know what it's supposed to be right? You hear this most often right after diagnosis. And it means that you know, your life shouldn't change that much.   Stacey Simms   2:00 From what it was before, or you know, you shouldn't take away all the fun things that make childhood childhood. And we don't want diabetes to be the first thing people think about when they consider our children. And we don't want diabetes to dictate every decision that we make. Now for some people, kid first diabetes second means letting them have a giant Sundae, or go to a pizza party. Now it doesn't have to be all about food. I did say it to myself years ago when I let my son go to regular sleepaway camp, not diabetes camp for two weeks when he was eight, and he has gone a month every year since then. So I've said that to myself, right kid first, diabetes, second, let's do this. But the more I think about it, the more I think it misses the mark. Kid first diabetes second, isn't right. It seeks to separate the diabetes from the kid, which is impossible to do. Or maybe it's not impossible, but it doesn't sit right with me.   Stacey Simms   3:00 Here's why implies that you're sort of cheating on diabetes. We're going to put diabetes aside, we're going to put it second. So we can do this other thing that every child should be able to do. Put the kid first, what we're saying is that kids with diabetes, shouldn't be able to do that shouldn't be allowed to do that. You're just letting this be a special case, because it's fun. And it's about being a kid. It's as though we're saying diabetes can't be part of a real childhood, a good fun, a wonderful childhood. take it one step further. And we're actually implying that diabetes can't be part of a good fun, wonderful child, or ultimately a person. It sounds dramatic. I know. But I really don't think it is. Looking at this a slightly different way. I talked about it just a bit in my book, the world's worst diabetes Mom, I use the analogy of the Hulk there. Alright, so when Benny was very young and ready   Stacey Simms   4:00 He was diagnosed just before he turned two. We couldn't explain to him exactly what was going on, you know, you know, when your blood sugar is high, you can be so grumpy, you can be unreasonable not that a three year old is always reasonable to begin with. But it was so hard to explain to him what was going on. And it wasn't until, I mean, really till about age four or five, that we were able to start working on a few strategies to help and one of the best involve the Hulk. We started telling Benny that he was a lot like the Hulk. I don't have to explain to the Hulk is right, the Marvel superhero, big green guy, comic book, TV show, movies, that whole thing. Okay, so we started telling Vinny that he was a lot like the Hulk when his blood sugar was high, and he felt angry and mean. But unlike the Hulk alter ego, Dr. Bruce Banner, we said he could learn to control the big green guy. So we started by having him recognize that he was high. This was before the days of Dexcom for us, so we would just test blood sugar, and then Benny would work on removing himself from the situation. He could go   Stacey Simms   5:00 It was room and beat up a stuffed animal. Or he could yell into a pillow. He could sit quietly with me, he could color he could drink water, he could be mad. But he couldn't release the Hulk on other people. It wasn't perfect, but it really helped him process what was going on in language that he could understand as a little kid. So fast forward to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And this is, of course, the movies, the Avengers movies, and we're big comic book people. We have seen every MCU movie together by family, we all have our favorites. This was really as an aside us such a fun part of our, I don't wanna say our family history that sounds very high and mighty. But my children really were old enough to see these kind of movies just as they were coming out. And now they're older and they don't want to be with us as much and we were able to see all of them together. And it was fun in between arguing about the theories and talking about the characters and we saw the last I want to say four or five movies on preview night I would get tickets on the Thursday before they were released and we always will   Stacey Simms   6:00 A big deal about it. So it was great. And if you're familiar with the movies, or even if you're just familiar with the character that you know, the Hulk is always struggling, but the character is right. He has two distinct sides, Bruce Banner, and the big green guy, and they work in opposition. And that's kind of what we were telling Benny right this side can't understand that side. Or you know, when you're high. You're not you. You've got to get control over that part of you. Then we saw Avengers endgame. And I almost fell out of my chair when smart Hulk showed up. I What is he? I guess he's called Professor Hulk. But whatever he is called. Bottom line is that Dr. Banner has figured out a way to embrace his Hulk side, and the two are at peace. I looked this up. Yes, I did some research into Professor Hulk. Marvel says equal parts intellect and brute strength. The professor represents banners ideal version of self. And that's it. That's my hope for Benny. Now I have to stop for a second and say I can   Stacey Simms   7:00 Knowledge I am saying all of this as a person without diabetes, I'm the mom, I'm not the one living it. So I understand he has to find his own ideal point. This is exactly what I'm working toward. My son can't take diabetes and pretend it's somebody else. Yes, that worked when he was three or four. But in his young adult and adult life, he can't take his bad moods and its highs and lows and push them off on the other guy. I'm of course not saying highs and lows are not real. Obviously they are, they need to be acknowledged. And they in many cases need to be accommodated for by the people around the person with diabetes. But those highs and lows are part of diabetes, so they're part of him. And if Benny is able to embrace the side of him that he sometimes wants to reject, he will be that much stronger. And that brings us back to kid first diabetes. Second, it needs to change. It needs to change in our thinking to simply kid with diabetes. So what is that   Stacey Simms   8:00 That mean in practice, birthday cake? Yes, that is a life with diabetes, sleep over sure that's a kid with diabetes, soccer practice without me there. Same thing. I think if we treat these events and foods, like we're somehow cheating on diabetes, or somehow separate from it sends the wrong message. I mean, think about for us without diabetes. I am not eating birthday cake every day. But I sure I'm gonna have it the next party I get to go to knowing that. Do I then have to say, woman first birthday party attendee second? Or maybe mom first mom who really needs to eat more salad and fewer desserts second, I mean, you share that right? There's that guilt. Right mom, first mom who shouldn't be eating cake second. And it's not always about food. As I've mentioned, milestones and events are very relevant here too. So if you're saying kid first diabetes, second about, let's say a trip with the grandparents, you know the older sibling when   Stacey Simms   9:00 The grandparents did a special trip. And then a couple years later, the younger sibling with type one wants to go insure kid first diabetes. Second. Well, you're really telling your family that kids with diabetes shouldn't be able to do that. You're just allowing it, because it's fun. And it's about being a kid. It's just being a kid with diabetes. It's not easy to change our language about diabetes. I've been saying kid first, diabetes second for years. I looked it up. And it first shows up in my blog, in 2011. But words matter how we talk about diabetes matters. And our kids are listening, even when we think we're being careful. So I'm gonna stop saying kid first diabetes. Second. That is not how I actually parent and teach. It does not work for us. And it's not how I want Benny to think about his life with type one. So what do you think? Agree? Disagree? Remember, I am the world's worst diabetes mom. I'd love to know what you think you can email me Stacey@Diabetes-connections.com, or find me on social media, I'm linking up everything in the episode homepage. It is all about our journey with type 1 diabetes, but it also features some mom to mom advice. And it gives you some suggested questions to bring to your next doctor visit that always confused me. 0:20 Brett HeierDo you think we will ever see a proper version of the inhuman royal family? And if quicksilver is brought back as well, could we see him interact with crystal?1:29 Anthony LawreyIt's been reported that Loki will “alter historical events”. Can you see this tying into a way that Magnetos Holocaust origin story would make sense? In one of your previous Q&A's you spoke about the fact Magneto would be in his 80's if he were in the current day MCU but you also run risk by altering history, especially in the aspect of genocide. 2:52 Anthony LawreyIs Kevin Feige this generations Stan Lee? I know Lee created a majority of the characters we've grown to love, but the MCU doesn't exist without Feige. My son is 17 months old and I can't help but feel like I'll be telling him the stories of how the MCU all started with Iron Man before I'm able to get him interested in the actual origination of the  characters.8:06 Anthony LawreyWhy don't we ever see interviews from Bradley Cooper? Yeah I know he's just the voice of Rocket and you could ask the same of Vin Diesel/Groot but Cooper is a pivotal part when it comes to capturing the tone and emotion of Rocket.11:24 Alex WardWhat do you think the Avengers said to Captain Marvel to convince her to go save Tony at the beginning of Endgame? The whole Galaxy was likely breaking out in chaos and she had to have been very selective in her rescue missions.14:35 Anthony Lawrey Are you at all disappointed in the design of the Steelbook art/disc art?18:51 JP FaiellaI never would have thought of this if I didn't see the ancient one battle from a rooftop during the battle of ny... but all things being connected and equal do you think other marvel characters like Daredevil and others we know would have been in NY during the battle were joining in the fight? Could this also be a way to retcon other characters and stay in cannon in the future?22:24 LincCan you briefly run down Doctor Strange's comic history as it relates to the multiverse? Do you think this/these will play out in his next film?24:59 Kessel RunnerIn their interview on The Star Wars Show Anthony Russo talked about finding the “minimal connection point” for Marvel content and not allowing any projects to cramp another one. Do you think this is why Marvel Studios drifted away from the “everything is connected” phase of early Marvel television? Do you think this mindset is why Marvel Studios has been so successful?32:55 Michael WeaselboyHey Sean quick question how do you think Tony controls his nanotech armor?? It just looks like he can form weapons and other things without even saying anything like in the other movies. I know he was cut off from Friday in space, so how exactly does he do it?? Especially so fast.33:52 Paul ShearmanHey Sean and patrons, hope you all enjoyed the watch party this weekend (we're still a few days away from digital release here in the UK, so catch you all on the next one!). Sean, now you've had many more chances to rewatch Avengers Endgame, how do you evaluate the way Professor Hulk was handled?  Other than the smack down with Thanos at the start of Infinity War we haven't had too much of Hulk ‘smashing' in the last two Avengers movies - as a Hulk fan, are you happy with what we saw from him in these 2 movies?  Thanks as always for your time, enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a great week37;59 Steven 84So far we've got some really exciting Disney Plus shows announced that are going to introduce new characters, but are anchored by existing MCU characters. What do you think could be our first Disney Plus original, meaning a character who has never appeared in the movies, but gets their own show? What character do you think is best suited to get their origin told in that format?41:07 Steven 84My next question is about the Young Avengers and the Champions. These are two distinct teams in the comics, and if we look at what's being teased, it's more Young Avengers than Champions. Do you think Marvel wants to combine the two teams, or will they want to go traditional Young Avengers now, and save Kamala, Sam, Amadeus, Miles, Riri, and Viv for later? If a Young Avengers/Champions mashup is coming in the next five years, and you can only put 6 members on the team, who do you take? See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

My question today is about the Fantastic Four. With many rumors going on about the team's introduction into the MCU, there are several fan castings already out. I like Emily Blunt, but not for Sue and I am the not the greatest fan of Krasinski. With those two taken out of the running, who else would you like to see for the first family of comics and the Thing and Johnny? Apologies if you have already answered this question in depth.6:32 Zach D AlstonDo you think they'll treat the X-men like they did the Avengers and give us solo films first before a team up X-men movie?   I think that would be pretty sweet, the only issue I see is how connected they are to each other from the beginning.  Might not be much story to tell before they meet without retconning their history some.  7:22 Mike GonyeaHi Sean, hope you're well. Quick question about Deadpool. I know his movies have had many close references that could tie Deadpool to the MCU proper, while still leaving these references vague enough. My question in particular is the time travel device Cable has is remarkably similar to the devices Tony created in Endgame. Mainly I ask since Deadpool 2 was out before Endgame. That had to be intentional... right? Not saying that it is a direct MCU connection for Deadpool, but the writers seemed to know enough that in hindsight this was a fairly obvious Endgame "spoiler" in a way? Or just coincidence?10:05 Paul ShearmanHey Sean and patrons, hope you're all having a good week so far. My question this week relates to how the storylines and characters getting limited series on Disney + are possibly being selected. We've heard previously from people like Kevin Feige - and also you've had several conversations with us patrons on the subject - about Marvel Studios having a solid practice of meeting with directors and storytellers to get a flavour of what type of characters and storylines they're potentially interested in bringing to the big screen. It would seem that many of the movies we've had so far are borne out of this process, which makes sense as it's very organic and something that directors get emotionally invested in, but do think the Disney + series are coming from the same type of process, or could they be more ‘predetermined' (for want of a better word) in that they maybe need to fit better into the wider narrative that the next phase of movies will tell, and so the options on the table over choices for featured characters and storylines could be a little bit narrower for directors? Thanks as always, and enjoy the rest of your week.20:02 Mookie JohnsonHypothetical post Endgame question: If Black Widow was still alive and Fury died within the next couple years, do you think Maria Hill or Black Widow would  be most likely to  next run the organization formerly known as shield?21:07 Mike GonyeaSpiderman Far From Home question/thought. If the multi-verse is real, could we see Spiderman exploring other areas of the multi-verse in this movie? Could the movie have a cliff hanger ending with Spiderman becoming stuck in an alternate universe at the end of the movie? Would really make the movie title ring true... Pure thought experiments. Take care!23:51 Michael WeaselboyHey Sean hope you are having a good week. My question is, do you think they will use Mr. Sinister as the first villain of the MCU X-Men?? I think he is a good choice and they have hinted at him in a few of the Fox movies so far. Thoughts??26:42 Seth GoslinI'm still amazed by the brilliance with which Endgame treated the character arcs of the original 6 Avengers. With that in mind, what would you like to see next for Professor Hulk? Also, would you like to see a flashback with Natasha's parents in the Black Widow film? And would you ever want more backstory on who Steve's parents were?30:28 Seth GoslinWhat do you think about the effects of the vanished on prisons and even The Raft? We've got folks like Vulture, Zemo, Justin Hammer and even Abomination that could have made an escape if enough of the prison staff vanished. The 5 years would potentially be a good time for some villains to go into hiding and regroup. What do you think of this sort of consequence of the snap?33:55 Brett HeierIf Wanda develops reality-altering powers, will they have to kill or depower her somehow? Or could she just learn to control it? Thanks for all the work you do! 36:27 Giuseppe VicarettiHey, Sean. My question for you this week is, after the Major Disappointment that was Dark Phoenix, if we had a chance of a slight do-over of an ending to the franchise, what route would you have wanted to see Fox take to give a proper ending to the franchise?39:07 Giuseppe VicarettiAnother one I have is, with the launch of Disney+ do you see a possibility of not only having the library of the Xmen animated series being added on the docket but do you see this as a possibility of them making a newer Xmen animated series? Is that something you would be interested in?41:10 Alex WardDo you have any ideas for alternate titles to X-Men? Maybe actually using Hickman's "Powers of X" or "House of X" as titles? I just personally think something like X-Force or X-Factor would be taking away from those two distinct teams, each of which could easily sustain their own franchise!43:40 Alex WardDo you think there's any significance to Mysterio supposedly being from Captain Britain's universe? Or do you think Marvel Studios just wanted to use a "safe" number (as opposed to something like 1610, which is the Ultimate universe designation)? I can't tell how much thought went into this labeling, especially if Mysterio is just going to pull a Mandarin on us all!45:06 Woo S! KimLet's say for instance Marvel Studios wants to do a partnership with Dolby in doing like a Marvel Cinematic Universe marathon, do you believe it would be any easier or more difficult than the one IMAX did last year, why or why not?47:13 Woo S! KimI don't know what it is, but after Iron Man, I just feel the next significant character death in the MCU is Nick Fury.  Samuel L. Jackson has been playing Nick Fury as long as Robert Downey Junior has played Iron Man and sure Nick Fury has never lead a franchise of his own films, I just really question how much longer Samuel L Jackson wants to be Nick Fury. A little late, but we wanted to give everyone time to see the movie so that we could do what we do and give spoilers. Ok, if you haven’t seen the movie, stop reading, seriously, stop reading now, because fat Thor was amazing!. Enggame was a masterclass for wrapping up multiple storylines while setting up the playing field for whatever phase 4 of the MCU will be. Tony Stark received one of the all time greatest death scenes a character can hope for. Steve Rogers finally does what makes Steve Rogers happy, Thor teaming up with The Guardians of the Galaxy is a fantastic pairing that should make for a wonderful movie. Doctor Strange’s lines at the end of Infinity War and to Tony before battle nor carry more gravitas than ever, and the writers set up a perfect pitch for what Captain Marvel will be doing in her sequel. Avengers Endgame is a three hour movie that never felt like a three hour movie. it was enjoyable, well paced and had an ending that made many cry, as well as one of the greatest climactic battle scenes ever in film. It was a cultural event and it will be decades before something like this comes around again. The last time something did was probably Empire Strikes Back. It wasn’t a perfect, it has flaws that we will discuss, it was essentially a time travel reset button flick that jumped five years ahead. The time jump led to world building and significant character developments that occurred off screen, which is always bad. Professor Hulk was cool but ham fisted and we miss what we should have seen in Phase, Bruce Banner’s journey to becoming professor Hulk. Tony Stark changes from rogue, billionaire genius playboy philanthropist to family man, off screen, Captain America learns to deal with failure, Thor gives up and becomes fat., Black Widow is running the Avengers. All this occurs off screen. The reset button eliminates all consequences save Black Widow’s death. However, none of these flaws matter as Endgame is fun, entertaining and story that always remembers to focus on the central characters that we have come to love. Endgame focuses on completing the stories of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers and rightfully makes them the biggest heroes in a story about Earth’s biggest heroes. For all these reasons it is an excellent film and precisely because it does these things can overcome being a time travel reset button film that leaps forward in time five years.

0:22 Jeremy WatsonHey Sean and fellow Patrons! What do you think happened to 2014 Thanos's timeline once he jumped to 2023? Without Thanos in that time, he can't perform the snap in 2018. Also, do you think that Tony's snap eliminated all Thanos's from all timelines? Thanks!3:30 Jeremy WatsonI know we are many months away, but do you think Endgame will get any attention come award season?7:30 Eric JensenHi Sean, just wondering if you have any thoughts on how Endgame and infinity war would have been different had Cap and Tony not been so divided after Civil War.  If they were all for the accords would the avengers have beat Thanos and prevented the snap?  At the beginning of Endgame Tony certainly blames Cap for the negative outcome.  Thoughts?9:47 Jeremy WatsonSean, I know Markus and McFeely recently came out and said that Steve could always wield Mjolnir but didn't in AoU to Thor's benefit. I personally liked thinking that he had to clear his conscience in CW before being deemed worthy. Which version do you prefer? Sorry if you already mentioned this before. Thanks.15:19 Robert KlauserWhat's up Sean? As much as I'd like the underwater Easter egg to be Namor and Atlantis, do you think it could also be the Deviant City (I believe it's Lemuria) from the Eternals?17:24 Derek BeebeHey Sean, why do you think Cap chose Sam and not Bucky to replace him?  I understand the out of universe reason of course, but he was always much closer to Bucky.  Was it because Bucky had too much of a damaged past to ever be accepted as a public icon?  Fears of his mind conditioning coming back?21:34 Derek BeebeI still can't believe they killed off the real Thanos ten minutes in and replaced him with what I jokingly referred to as Fake Thanos to be the final villain.  My issue with this is that this is not the character we built an emotional connection to over the course of Infinity War.  This is not the character who sacrificed Gamora.  Didn't it bother you that the villain for the movie was not the one so masterfully developed in the previous movie, but an alt universe alt reality copy?28:28 Derek BeebeAt the end of Endgame they say they're going to go looking for 2014 Gamora.  But she was right there for the Avengers Compound battle.  How could she have gotten away?  Did she steal a space ship?  Didn't all of Thanos' ships get dusted?31:14 Derek BeebeDid it bother you that Starlord just returned to his homeworld for the first time since childhood, and we didn't get to see his reaction to that at all?33:59 Giuseppe VicarettiHey Sean, my question for you this week is hopefully a good one. If you were given the opportunity to cast your own MCU movie on any Marvel Character (that we haven't seen yet in these first 22 movies), which character would you choose and pick 3 actors (whomever you would like) you would choose as the top build leads.35:45 David RosenHey Everyone, I continue to be amazed at how well paced this movie is. Even having after my fifth viewing, the movie still doesn't feel like 3 hours. In hindsight, I find it amusing how big a deal was made of it being “too long.” I glad the movie didn't have an intermission, but IF the movie were going to have one, where would you have put it? Personally, I think I would cut it right after they all zap into the quantum realm, and then pick up again just as they boom into quantum tunnel, going into Avengers 2012. This seemed like the most natural spot to pause with the swell of the music and where the story was, being the end of the ramp up and the beginning of the time heist. Is there anywhere you think the movie could be cut in two?38:33 Orion ZangaraHey Sean!! Just curious, do you think it's possible Disney will use Disney plus as a testing ground for new characters in live action shows and then introduce the character in the movies? Possibly something more family friendly like Squirrel Girl or Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (but not necessarily). I'd assume this would be less of a financial risk than making an entire movie on a more obscure property (although of course this has been done with Guardians and soon Eternals and Shang-Chi).Thanks so much for creating such an awesome podcast! You guys are doing a fantastic job! I love listening to you guys talk about this stuff every week. Two thumbs up! 41:49 Keith MerrillEnjoying the podcasts Sean.  My question is having seen Endgame multiple times and in multiple movie theater formats,  Which one do you find the most enjoyable or prefer?  For me it was the Dolby Cinema experience.44:54 Woo S! KimOne of my favorite cameos of Stan Lee outside of the MCU and or Marvel Television is his cameo on “The Simpsons,” now that Disney owns “The Simpsons” I would really like to see Kevin Feige guest star on “The Simpsons. What Marvel Television and or Marvel Studios would you like to see on “The Simpsons” Sean, other than Feige I would love Tom Holland and or Clark Gregg, what about you?  45:53 Woo S! KimDo you believe “Eternals” will be the first to show the ramifications beyond Earth of  Professor Hulk''s snap? Related to this, I have to believe and perhaps this is just my own head canon, but I doubt it's just me that The Decimation and Professor Hulk's snap caused a ripple effect that woke something up or created something that wasn't in the MCU previously such as Kang and or Galactus, do you concur Sean?48:14 Woo S! KimDo you think the five year time gap in “Avengers: Endgame” and or the Time Hopping was done from a logistical standpoint to free up Marvel Studios and potentially future creative people that Marvel Studios will bring into future projects, so that said creative people don't have to stick to a certain timeline and allows some people to do stories that they couldn't do in the “Infinity Saga?” Along these lines Sean, do you believe that Marvel Studios is going to stick with one through line in terms of telling their stories for the next five to seven whether that be in films and or on Disney+ such as the one True Believers aw in the “Infinity Saga” or will there be a feeling of more stand alone stories even more so than the one we saw in “Black Panther?”52:37 Carole and HelwalkPlease help me settle a discussion I am currently trapped in regarding Endgame:  I say 2014 Gamora was dusted when IronMan snapped his fingers to wipe out Thanos and his army since she had come with him to 2023.  My friend insists she just scurried away?!?!?!?!  Your thoughts?  As always, thank you!55:00 Brandon McCollumHey Sean, what are your thoughts on the rumored Nova movie?  Do you think they will take the Ant-Man route and focus on the characters second incarnation with Sam Alexander, or do you think they will let Richard Rider take center stage? Personally, I would go with Rider, but I would be down for either.  Blue Blazes!!!57:00 Giuseppe VicarettiNext question is more of a general question. Where did it all start for you Sean? Not just your podcast hosting, but your love for Marvel as a whole as well, where did it start for you and what steps did you take to get where you are now as far as covering all things Marvel? And if there's one thing you could change what would it be?1:08:44 Mike GonyeaHi there Sean, hope all is well man. One of the many questions I have from Endgame is in regards to potential Doctor Strange sequel set ups. The was the ancient one talks about how the repercussions of taking the stones out of time can lead to disastrous results. Could this be something that is simply contained to the specific timeline/reality the stone was taken from, or could that have a overflow/bleeding effect into the timeline/reality the stones were taken to as well? The scene felt similar to the potential Black Panther 2 set up with the earthquake reference earlier in the film. Could there be something there? Thank you so much for all you do!1:13:12 Oni OmoregieHi, Sean. Outside of BP and Doctor Strange 2, I am most excited about Shang Chi in the coming “phase.” However, as someone who grew up watching classic martial art films with wonderful choreography, I am slightly worried that Marvel won't get the best to choreograph the movie. Winter Soldier and Civil War had great fight scenes, but I am expecting more out of Shang Chi. What are your thoughts on this issue?1:15:41 Mike GonyeaIf Marvel Studios decides to use the snaps as the catalyst of the mutant X gene and bringing the XMen into the MCU. Would this be specific to what the Avengers call Earth? Or could that be all across the universe? And on the thread of XMen in the MCU, what would be some fantasy casting you would like to see for some XMen characters? Thanks for everything buddy, have a good day!1:17:55 Mike GonyeaGranted this idea would nullify the entirety of Endgame somewhat... but if the point Time Heist was to get all the stones, why not just go back to when they are about to get the gauntlet off of Thanos on Titan in Infinity War and chop off his arm and jump back to the present/prime timeline? Granted there would be a lot more risk going to take the stones directly from Thanos compared to collecting them from different points in time when it is 'safer'. More of a thought than a question I suppose, thank you for your time Sean! ✌1:21:43 Jim ScroggsWhat character do you think Bryan Cranston could play in the MCU? I wouldn't mind seeing him as Ben Parker but I know the time might have passed to see Uncle Ben1:22:49 Matt MillerHey Sean, with the recent report that Guardians 3 is going to start filming next year? Do you think it will be slated for a 2021 release? Also now that the fox deal is complete do you think Disney will rerelease or put up the animated Spider-Man or X-men series on Disney Plus? Thanks!1:27:23 Jim ScroggsAlso, I can't remember if you answered this but could Marvel come back around the Keanu Reeves since he was rumored to have been close to joining Captain Marvel1:28:22 Seth GoslinMaybe I've missed something but it seems like the door to time travel is still open at the end of Endgame. Professor Hulk has the machinery and Hank Pym is back and could make more Pym particles. The temptation to tinker with time and the threat of what enemies could do with this seems potentially problematic. Do you think that something should be done to take time travel off the playing field (going forward in the MCU)?1:30:53 David RosenWith Thanos now gone (both in 2014 and 2023), it would seem that there is a cosmic power vacuum waiting to be filled. Assuming that we don't go back to see what happens in 2014, do you think we'll see what happens to the cosmic power structure in the current 2023 MCU timeline? Also, since he was merely killed instead of snapped out of existence in 2023, unless Tony's snap also got rid of his 2023 army, what do you think happens to Thanos's now leaderless army, and might we see that come into play in future movies if we get to see how the cosmic power structure realigns itself following Thanos's demise? Also, though we haven't seen many cosmic villains beyond Thanos yet, who would be your pick to fill that void?1:35:31 David RosenIn some of your previous discussions regarding Thanos's characterization in the comics, you talked about how his ego and arrogance would sometimes be the things that lead to his downfall. Did you see any of that inflated ego or arrogance in End Game, and if so, do you think it contributed to his loss at the end? I attribute part of 2014 Thanos's loss to him not actually collecting the Infinity Stones for himself, but rather relying on the knowledge that his future self was able to do it, and also allowed the Avengers to collect them for him. I believe one of the reasons Thanos won in Infinity War was because he used each subsequent stone he collected to help him get the next one till he basically was an unstoppable force. Knowing that he had already done it in the future though, made him think he could just take it by brute force, instead of using the powers that the stones afford him. Do you this as a type of arrogance, and do you see it tracking with his comic book counterpart?1:44:11 Seth GoslinI'm happy about the passing of the shield to Sam. I'm having trouble visualizing how he will operate as the new Cap. Do you have a sense of how he will fight? Do you think he will continue using wings? Any chance of a new serum for him? What's he like in the comics?1:46:06 Seth GoslinI liked the "quantum rat". We've seen the MCU enrich its own past many times now. Is there any scenario that you would think would be a fun reveal that the rat was a shape-changed hero that we haven't seen previously or do you think it should just be left as a rat?1:47:21 Alex WardHey Sean! Just wondering what you think of the concern that the creators behind Avengers: Endgame, such as the Russos, Markus and McFeely, are "pulling a JK Rowling" by supposedly "over-explaining" aspects of the film? I do agree that this is an issue to some extent, such as their response "I wish we were that smart" in response to the question about the possible Namor easter egg, because it takes some of the fun out of these little moments being open to interpretation. However, this is probably moreso the fault of the interviewers (if "fault" is even the right word), as Markus & McFeely, etc., are not openly volunteering these random factoids like Rowling is prone to do.1:57:03 Alex WardWould you like to see the Russos move over to the Star Wars universe? How likely do you think that'd be?1:58:00 Alex WardI think you've mentioned being a Game of Thrones fan before, so I was wondering what you think of the season so far? With the common criticism of Benioff and Weiss being that they are better at adapting than coming up with their own material, how do you think they'd fare in the MCU?2:00:45 Michael WeaselboyHey Sean I was just wondering how do you think Marvel will try to make Namor different from Aquaman if/when he gets his own movie in the MCU?? Also do you think he will stay unlikeable?? I know the Universal rights issue holds that up but still. Thoughts?? See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

0:58 brentacPrimeGreetings everybody. I've been thinking about Cap and the hammer. I have heard you explain your theory on why he wasn't worthy, or not quite worthy, to pick the hammer up in Age of Ultron.I think however he was actually worthy because he clearly moved it. I think he chose not to lift the hammer to not put Thor in a situation where he would feel belittled. Or to expand that, he may have been thinking that for the good of the team dynamic it would be best if the others didn't see him differently.  But perhaps my best piece of evidence that he was indeed worthy, is that as far as I know in the comics, and never in the MCU, has the hammer had a sense of partial worth. It's always been portrayed as binary. On or off. Worthy or not worthy. Every other time someone tried to lift the hammer it simply stayed still. Plus, in the final, amazing, battle during Endgame,  I don't think Cap would have even attempted to pick it up if he didn't already know he had been able to before. I'm curious what you think about this?10:56 brentacPrimeHave you gone back and watched any MCU movies other than Endgame over the last couple weeks? If so which? If not, do you know which one you'll go to first? What was the last MCU movie you saw before Endgame?12:49 brentacPrimeIs Endgame going to top Avatar?15:20 Jim ScroggsWith the Russo's taking a break from the MCU, are Markus and McFeely taking a break from writing MCU movies as well?16:55 Mookie JohnsonWe have a good idea what movies are coming out next, but what 3 movies would you want to see next based on the events of Endgame?20:09 Brian CreweIs it me or is there a little beat between Rhodey and Carol during the Hologram scene in Endgame that hints at a relationship between them during the five year jump?21:50 Hector Giovanni NavarreteHey Sean and fellow Patrons, hope everyone has a great weekend !Favorite moment(s) in AE? Sorry if you've answered this question already.25:50 Hector Giovanni NavarreteHow do you think the WandaVision show will bring back Vision?28:26 Hector Giovanni NavarreteDo you think Cassie, Morgan, Lila and Harley will appear as superheroes later in the MCU?Thanks Sean!30:23 Carmen MalusaWith Endgame behind us, what is your most realistic landscape of the next phase, assuming there's no surprise new heroes introduced? Without thinking about dates or limit on movies per phase, what movies do you see Marvel announcing for the next years to come?  I see it as: Dr. Strange 2, Black Panther 2, Antman (& Wasp) 3, GotG Vol 3 ft. Thor, Eternals, Shang Chi, Black Widow (prequel more than likely), Captain Marvel 2, Spider-Man 3, a new avengers project. I don't think they will stray too far away from the formula, though I would love to see Nova or Fantastic 4 squeezed in there.33:47 William Ford-ConwayWhat did you ultimately think of Captain Marvel's small role in the movie. Personally I was happy with he being an accent to the movie, partially because I liked the focus on the core Avengers, but mostly because in the grand scheme it really makes the MCU feel like a Universe. Much in the same way that powerful entities like Silver Surfer would appear for big battles in the comics, Carol being absent but present for vital fights feels more authentically "real world" and just makes the world feel bigger. I will admit that a small part of my brain is a bit tired of swerve in the marketing because I was expecting her to have a bigger role, but I judge primarily the movie and at the end of the day I dug the amount she was in. Also do you think Captain Marvel will get a small bump after this movie?40:12 Woo S! KimI am one of the people that wanted “Agent Carter” to returned, one of the interesting things in the aftermath of “Avengers: Endgame” and I mentioned this in the Discord Sean is how Chris Markus and Stephen McFeeley essentially made the events of “Agent Carter” null and void because of the new timeline that was created, now I am not discounting the work on that series, absolutely not I loved that series but you see what I mean, Sean?  Also, I find it rather fitting like Alex Ward stated on the Discord since Chris Markus and Stephen McFeely created “Agent Carter” they had the unique chance that not a lot of showrunners get to do in terms retroactively finishing their own television show in a film, do you concur?42:36 Woo S! KimI am not saying they will direct this film, but in your point of view is your safe bet for directors of the MCU X-Men film, the same as mine: The Russo Brothers? Related to this are Chris Markus and Stephen McFeely safe bets as writers of an MCU X-Men film? Lastly, do you think one of the reasons that The Russo's have been dropping hints of possibly doing a Marvel Studios “Secret Wars” and or Wolverine film is because Feige and The Russos are in talks of what next Marvel film The Russo's want to do even if production doesn't begin for hypothetically another six to eight years or so?46:11 Woo S! KimMy question is related to something you talked about on the commentary for “Captain America: Civil War” about how the kiss between Captain Rogers and Sharon Carter and the moment they shared after was a sign to them and the True Believers that yes, that is as far as this relationship will go, did you feel the same way when Thor and Valkyrie had the awkward friendship hug at the end of “Avengers: Endgame” because I sure did.47:26 William Ford-ConwayHow much do you anticipate Spider-Man Far From Home to address the events of Infinity War/Endgame (specifically in regards with who was dusted). While the fact that some of Peter's classmates have moved on to college is an interesting piece of world building, when it comes to the MCU I'm usually more interested in how the characters progress rather than the plot minutiae. For instance, Peter wanting to give Spidey a break and go on a vacation feels like a good place to go after going through the events of the Avengers movies. Honestly, I have a feeling we will just have to  assume Peter's main crew got dusted. What do you think?  51:06 William Ford-ConwayWith time travel so pivotal and explored in this film, do you think this hurts or opens up the potential for Kang the Conqueror. I think it would be interesting to maybe reinvent Kang as some sort of protector of time and maybe down the line he can show up upset that the Avengers have screwed with time. That said I can see Marvel not wanting to go back to the time travel well so soon.55:04 David RosenSo I haven't really heard this come up at all, but I seem to remember in the diner scene when Bruce is explaining how he came to realize that the Hulk was something to embrace rather than try to suppress, I noticed that Natasha had a very subtle reaction that seemed to suggest she started thinking about something, and my mind went to their conversation from Age of Ultron about how they are both “monsters” with dark sides stemming from their pasts. I like to believe that in that moment, Nat started thinking about she could also try to come to terms with the two warring sides of her personality as the trained assassin who was taught to suppress emotion and personal connection, and the woman who yearned to wipe the blood from her ledger and maybe one day settle down with a family. With that idea planted in her mind, when the opportunity presented itself to make a sacrifice, do you think that any part of that decision came from seeing it was a way to ultimately come to terms with her past and who she'd become? 1:01:01 brentacPrimeOff marvel topic do you have any thoughts on the new Sonic trailer and that the director announced they are going to re-design the character's look?1:08:04 David RosenLet's say for argument sake that in the future of the MCU, a situation arises that ONLY Tony Stark will know how to solve, whatever that may be. Could you see the quantum realm being used in future movies to pluck someone really important, like a Tony Stark, from the past to solve a problem in the future? Furthermore, with knowledge of and access to the quantum realm, if people can be treated like infinity stones – where they can be pulled from the people and then returned -  is anyone really dead and gone going forward in the MCU?1:13:24 Woo S! KimNow that Professor Hulk has been established in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is it out of the realm of possibility that I will not see my dream fight of Hulk v. Wolverine and or your Marvel Cinematic Universe dream fight of The Hulk v. The Thing, related to this do you believe something may have gone wrong with Doctor Banner's experiments or will in the future and we True Believers may see The Grey Hulk and or classic savage Green Hulk or in your point of view, Professor Hulk is going to remain in the MCU for the foreseeable future?1:16:22 AdamHey Sean not really and endgame question but I wanted your thoughts. What way should we watch the movies now. I have a friend who hasn't seen the movies at all and was wondering what order I should show them to him in timeline order or in the way that they came out. Thanks for all you do.1:18:28 Mark BrianDo you think the destruction of Avengers Compound will lead to Avengers Mansion as the new headquarters?1:19:34 Mark BrianI found it interesting that Nakia was not only not a part of the final battle with Thanos, but she also wasn't with T'Challa, Shuri and Ramonda at the end of the film as they viewed Wakanda from the balcony.  Whether she was among the vanished or not, you would think she'd want to be with T'Challa after five years.  Where do you imagine she was?  Do you think it's possible that she survived the Snappening, and perhaps managed to move on from T'Challa during the five years?  Or perhaps she was overcome with grief like Clint, leading to a version of Malice.  If so, maybe this could open the door for Storm, or perhaps even Monica Lynne (I know you don't like the character in the comics, but I'm sure Feige & co. would make adjustments for the MCU).1:23:24 Michael WeaselboyHey Sean my question is simple, What small thing would you change about Endgame, either production wise or storywise?? One little thing I would change is when Sam not calling Steve right before the final battle, I know it is a callback to The Winter Soldier but I think seeing that portal open just out of nowhere would have been better, thats just what I think. Thoughts?? See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

APRIL 27, 20191:53 Robert KlauserWhat's up Sean? Happy to be on the other side now. Was it always the plan, from your perspective, to have Thor team up with the Guardians even before the well-received feedback from the viewers?3:40 Kevin FandryHow do they return the Soul Stone to its proper time/place and could they have used it, by itself, to bring back the now confirmed dead before putting it back? Time travel is crazy.5:45 Alex WardHi Sean! I can't believe we're here! I loved the movie but honestly still haven't had a chance to process all of it. I am counting on your help! First, it's clear that the MCU is taking a unique approach to time travel. Could you explain how it functions, and more specifically why "old" Cap wouldn't still be in his timeline? After Cap left to return the stones, does that now mean that both Caps had now been existing simultaneously, maybe one in hiding, all this time?10:54 Alex WardI see that you also noticed the possible Namor easter egg. How likely do you think that is the case? And do you think they'll make him an Eternal in the MCU? It seems like that would suit his power level and help set him apart from Aquaman; plus, his mutanthood hasn't been that integral to his character until recent years.14:58 Alex WardOkay, so going forward, the MCU takes place five years in the future, with half the population having not aged in that time? Just making sure. Also, how excited are you about this massive, totally unexpected change?18:02 Alex WardWere you also at once touched and confused by Sam getting the Captain America mantle? Could the "Falcon and Winter Soldier" Disney Plus title be a fakeout in the vein Captain America: The Serpent Society fakeout, and it's actually called "Captain America and the Winter Soldier?" Okay, sorry for the barrage, I know you have a ton of questions to answer! This should be it for now!21:40 Woo S! KimDo you think in the 5 years since the Snap that The Mutant Gene could have been discovered and this wasn't as big a news story because of “The Decemation” or do you think with all the reworking of the timeline thanks to The Avengers and Thanos honestly, that could have created Mutants like some of us True Believers have been speculating for months now?24:04 Woo S! KimAfter the events of “Avengers: Endgame” where would you put your money on, when the “Black Widow” film takes place, before the events of the 2012 Avengers film or the five years in between “The Decemation” and The Infinity Stone Heist?25:33 Chad LeakeHello Sean! First time q&a participant. When Cap and Stark fail the first time to retrieve the Tesseract, and Loki grabs it and uses it, do you think this is how they introduce him back into the Disney Plus series, or even better yet, back into the MCU Movies???? Love the podcast's, I'm glad I've found a place to listen to everything Marvel, and for that I thank you!29:34 Woo S! KimWhat would be your best guess Sean, on where Thor and The Guardians go from here in terms of "guardians of The Galaxy Volume III" and the potential fourth Thor film?  Do you think in the least we will see the Son of Odin make a cameo in "Guardians of The Galaxy Volume III" do you think we will see any of The Guardians in the fourth Thor film, I need to add if there is a fourth Thor film and what do you think of the idea of Takia W. and James Gunn soto collaborating on both films together while still doing their own MCU films, I hear that happened with the Russo Brothers and Peyton Reed following "Captain America: Civil War."32:10 Woo S! KimWhat was your biggest surprise/favorite cameo in "Avengers: Endgame?"  Mine without a doubt was James D'Arcy as Edwin Jarvis, funny sidebar I was one of about three people in my IMAX screening opening night who knew who he was.36:38 Xavier ArquerosHi Sean, let's get to the point: What prevents the Avengers from going back on time and grab the stones and put them back anytime they need? // Why past Gamora knew that the orb was the power stone when in guardians 1 she does want to sell it until the collector explains what it is? The movie is amazing, and this does not bother me, I'm just curious. Cheers everyone!42:16 Phillip CastroHi Sean! In your opinion, who would be the finalists for Endgame MVA (Most Valuable Avenger) and is this hero also your pick for MVA of this Infinity Saga? Thank you in advance as always!45:05 Matt StuartHey Sean!  As someone who is more well versed in the source material than me, can Bruce turn back into his human form or is he permanently Professor Hulk?  Look forward to hearing everyone's questions!46:10 AlexIf the five year time jump really remains even after all the snap victims come back then how is it that Ned didn't appear to age like five years haven't passed? Surely he should be in college. The only excuse I can think of is that Ned along with most of the rest of Peter's classmates like Flash, MJ, and Betty were snap victims, so like Peter they come back five years later without having aged five years and we'll find this out in Far From Home.48:38 AlexAnother question: If I'm not mistaken according to the film's time travel rules -- A time traveler cannot actually alter/change course of events of his or her's native timeline by changing something from the past since there is no ripple effect except to create new divergent timelines that exist parallel to the timeline they came from. .....So how does the Steve Rogers from the main MCU timeline make it back to the present timeline we've all been following? if Steve Rogers were to retire in the past and grow old with Peggy then wouldn't Steve in theory end up in a separate timeline different from the one we've been following?50:09 AlexAnother Question: How come they couldn't use the time stone to bring Tony back to life? In Infinity War when the Mad Titan arrived in Wakanda to take the mind stone that Vision had; even though Wanda was able to destroy Thanos managed to revive Vision by turning back time on his destroyed parts and reassemble him back to life after Wanda destroyed him. Couldn't they theoretically do the same thing with Tony's corpse and reverse time on it so they can reset Tony back to the state he was prior to using the Stark Gauntlet?51:37 AlexWhat character from the Fox-library of Marvel characters are you most bummed about never  interacting with Tony Stark when they make it over to the MCU now  that Mr. Stark is no longer with us?(though RDJ in real life is,  thank god!).52:46 AlexDo you think had Captain Marvel had used the Stark Gauntlet instead of Tony she would've survived the power of the Infinity Stones or do you think she'd likely meet the same fate as Mr. Stark? I actually suspect she'd be able to survive the stone's power relatively unharmed like Thanos did but what're your thoughts?54:26 AlexDid you think after Strange was done seeing through the 14 million different possible outcomes of how their battle with Thanos could pan out he already knew Stark's ultimate fate in Endgame?55:29 David RosenHi Sean, First and foremost I want to say thank you to you and the rest of this community for helping make what was one hell of a week and the movie experience of a lifetime. When I think back on this moment in the coming years, sharing the experience seeing this movie will go hand in hand with seeing the actual movie itself. So thank you Sean and everyone else for that. Speaking of runtime, what do you think were some of the things that were possibly cut from the movie? I think I remember at some point it was rumored that there was a 4-5 hour version of the movie and I also felt that some things were just a little rushed along, so I'm curious what extra story elements you think may have been left on the cutting room floor?1:01:39 David RosenWere you a little surprised that we hardly got any mention of Vision aside from a quick reference to him from Wanda or do you think they're just saving it for the Disney+ show?1:02:35 David RosenWould Tony have survived the snap if he was wearing his helmet or do you think he didn't put it on because he came to realize it was his destiny die?1:04:00 Christian FuentesHi Sean. Welcome to a post Endgame world! Did you have an emotional reaction to the movie that had nothing to do with the actual content? For me, I actually had tears by the final battle. Not because of what was going on, but because I started this journey years ago with someone, and they couldn't make it to see the end.1:06:29 Christian FuentesMy second question is, how do you think films will manage the psychological damage going forward? The people who died as a consequence of the snap are still dead (I would guess that would be millions across the universe), and there's the psychological trauma from both those who disappeared and those that were left behind.                                                                           Thanks for everything that you do!1:09:37 Bill Van NormanHi Sean and fellow patrons in the post Endgame world. I  also had a question about the psychological trauma but Christian's question gets at that. My other question is about Vision - do you think we'll see him again? Wanda talked about him and Nat in the same way with the implication that he is dead like Nat. In addition, the Mind Stone is destroyed. Also, the hints about WandaVision sounds like it could be in the past. I hope we can see Vision going forward and not just in a prequel sort of way. What do you think Sean, will we see Vision as part of the MCU future?1:14:18 Michael WeaselboyHey Sean, when I saw Endgame I laughed and cried and got goosebumps. Its nice to finally be able to talk about it. When all of the snapped heroes returned me and my theater were going crazy. That being said my questions are 1.) How did The Avengers create a Gauntlet that easily, I thought since Eitri made it it was supposed to be something super powerful, and since Iron Man made one real quick that also makes me think. Thoughts?? Also who do you think will be the next big bad of the MCU I am hoping for Norman Osborn or Doctor Doom. Who do you think??1:19:56 Dennis Byron GonzalezHi Sean and fellow patrons, Happy Avengers: Endgame weekend to you all! I know I haven't participated in a Q&A in a long time (due to work and family concerns, as it seems quite a few of us have experienced), but what better time to dive back in then now?Since we know Clint as Ronin had been attacking various criminal organizations such as the Yakuza and the Mexican cartels during the five years post-decimation, could his personal war on crime potentially be backstory we see in the proposed Hawkeye limited series for Disney Plus?1:21:58 Dennis Byron GonzalezWe know Captain Marvel spent most of Endgame monitoring other worlds in the universe, before returning for the final battle. Post-Endgame, is there potential for the establishment of a Carol-led organization in charge of interstellar defense such as SWORD or Alpha Flight (assuming Marvel Studios doesn't go with the original Canadian super-team concept)?1:24:53 Dennis Byron GonzalezWhat are your thoughts on the fate of Natasha Romanoff? Her sacrifice to gain the Soul Stone, although I understand why it had to happen, was perhaps the only thing in Endgame that I found upsetting. The death of Black Widow was a possibility I had been dreading since before Infinity War was released last year; I think I've even expressed it as such in a long ago Q&A. I know we will still have Scarlett Johansson returning for the Black Widow film in a couple of years, that is now definitely set in the past, and I find it unfortunate we will not see the journey of Natasha progress into the future. Hopefully, in future films or series we will have more recognition her sacrifice and her memory with the surviving characters. Finally, I just want to say how much I enjoy the show and being part of this community. Listening to the Daily Bugle and the In The Endgame series always helped the workdays go by, and I look forward to the future of Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thank you again, Sean! Thank you as well for establishing the Discord channel! I just joined up, and been having a lot of fun being in conversation with my fellow patrons. Take care!1:29:30 Hector Giovanni NavarreteHey Sean and fellow Patrons! Hope everyone had a great time watching AE. I have the following questions, so far lol:1) In a post AE MCU who will be the ultimate leader of the Avengers now that Cap is basically retired and Tony has passed away? Will it be Carol while she is always in space helping other planets, T'Challa who is the kind of a nation, or someone else like Sam? 1:32:19 Hector Giovanni Navarrete2) Did it kinda bother you that we got no answer as to why Nick Fury waiting only till IW to call CM? So we are just left with the CM movies' explanation of IW was the “only emergency”? 1:33:37 Hector Giovanni Navarrete3) For GOTG V.3 we know that even when James Gunn was fired, MS was still going to use his script. With how AE ended are we to assume that, that script includes Thor? And also we see Peter looking at a monitor searching for Gamora, is that 2014 Gamora or IW Gamora? 1:36:47 Woo S! KimI am ready for a change in the MCU.  Don't get me wrong, I love and will miss Captain Rogers, Black Widow, and Iron Man, but in the immortal words of Robert Downey Jr.  I think it was the correct time for them to hang up their jersey's.  Do you find it rather refreshing that even though we know "The Eternals" is coming, "Shang-Chi" etc, not to mention X-Men and "Fantastic 4 in the coming years, we know those stories are coming but we don't know what those stories are about and or what the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to be, I was sad Opening Night, but now I am really excited, do you feel the same way I do, that it is  time for a change in the MCU?1:39:41 Ronald AcostaHey Sean!! Got that minor hiccup on my account fixed by support so thanks for that. It's been a while since I've chimed in with any questions. Anyway, ***spoiler tag*** I'm the type of person who takes a while for my emotions to hit me. Or maybe it's because I was in shock although it was something that we all suspected for years now that this would be the end for Tony. But at which point did you start to cry as it relates to Tony's death? For me it was Morgan's cheeseburger callback. That instantaneously tore me to shreds and immediately took me back to 2008. Oh my goodness the feels!! This has been such an awesome journey and if anyone else would like to chime in with an answer to this q, by all means!!!1:42:52 MayaHey Sean! Walking out of my third viewing as we speak. Thanks for being the first to tell us about the Namor tease in the discord. During this last rewatch I noticed there were significant disturbances to the water in the battle scene. Maybe I was just reading into it, but it seemed like there was a huge focus on it even though there was enough harm from Thanos' army to be worrying about the water. Do you think that the heavy disturbance coming from Sanctuary and Dr. Strange's magic is a reason Namor pays visit to land? If we do see him, it is crazy to think that him emerging would be for something other than half of his people dusting and coming back. Nevertheless I really hope he makes it in the MCU.1:45:38 MayaSomeone I met at the theater who was also on his repeat viewing said he thinks the little boy who Scott Lang asked “What happened?” is the future Ghost Rider. That definitely caught me off guard and seems kind of far fetched. Have you heard this theory? What do you think? Do you think he could potentially be someone we see again in the MCU? Thank you for all that you do! The road to Endgame wouldn't have been the same without you! 1:47:30 Mookie JohnsonWhy do you believe Cap is worthy to lift  Thor's Hammer in Endgame but not in Age of Ultron now that you've seen Endgame?1:49:55 Mookie JohnsonDid Cap have to return Mjolnir to the timeline when he returned the Reality stone?1:50:30 Mookie JohnsonDo you think we ever get to see Cap's reaction to Red Skull being the Soul stone protector?1:51:43 Mookie JohnsonIt was super exciting to get another "she's not alone" moment, but sad Black Widow couldn't be there... do you think that the Female avengers movie still happens without Natasha and did they establish enough in the story for Valkyrie to "lead the charge" for the female Avengers group in the MCU? I think it'd be fitting given Tessa Thompson "spearheading" the effort off-screen.1:53:59 Mookie JohnsonWill Professor Hulk's arm ever heal or is he sidelined from battle going forward unless he uses the Hulkbuster Armor?1:55:10 Mookie JohnsonI'm glad we finally got to hear Cap say "Avengers Assemble". Are you satisfied with when and how we got it both from Cap's perspective in the story and ours as fans watching it? Thank you for creating this wonderful community and sacrificing so much of your time for us. You are areal life Hero for us MCU fans! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

A new spot debuted for Avengers: Endgame during the Big Game, giving us new looks at Captain America, Black Widow, Tony Stark, Nebula, Rocket Raccoon, and Thor, along with a new promotional photo teasing Professor Hulk. Once the storyline for Endgame wraps up, is their potential for expanded Marvel stories on platforms like Disney+ that could take place at various points within the Marvel Cinematic Universe? What effect will the merger of The Walt Disney Company and 21st Century Fox have on the industry? --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/heroesreforged/support

Sean answers your Marvel questions!0:30 Brett HeierWhat are your top three favorite marvel cinematic universe characters? What are your top three marvel comics characters? Also, have you seen sorry for your loss? It's Elisabeth Olsen's show and it's really good.3:03 Woo S! KimNo matter what the results are and what the fallout of “Avengers: End Game” the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be very different regardless of who lives and who dies.  Even without Fantastic Four and X-Men potentially coming home the MCU by the end of this year hopefully; the MCU isn't going to look the same nor is it going to feel the same as the universe that began in 2008. Lastly, I think coincidentally this is the best time for Marvel's First Family and Mutants to be introduced to further the point that the MCU that hardcore geeks and casual audiences knew after Thanos won't entirely remain, what say you, Sean?6:54 Woo S! KimI mentioned on an earlier Q&A a few weeks back how Marvel is reintroducing the Fantastic Four in a comics standpoint, could Marvel Television and or FOX quietly ending/wrapping up “The Gifted” and “Legion” just be both companies readying themselves for the merger because to be fair much like the Netflix series and the Hulu, they take place in the MCU but adjacently and from what I hear these FOX Marvel shows are kind the same when it comes to X-Men so whether the merger goes through or not creatively these FOX Marvel shows could conceivably go a couple more seasons, what are your thoughts Sean?9:20 Woo S! KimSean may you please take a moment and explain what the differences are between IMAX with laser and IMAX without laser?12:45 Mookie JohnsonIn your opinion, did the Avengers Superbowl trailer end with Cap grabbing his old shield, the new shield referenced in Homecoming, or a new shield forged in Wakanda since they have plenty of vibranium to remake his shield?14:40 Derek BeebeDid you see Glass, and if so, what did you think of it?  Particularly the third act.    (He said vaguely, to avoid spoiling anyone).14:48 Derek BeebeWhen the Disney/Fox deal is finally a done deal, will you and Paul grace us with an episode about Fant-Four-Stick?16:53 Derek BeebeWhat did you think the FOX TV movies of Generation X (1996) and Nick Fury (1998)? 17:27 Derek BeebeAre you watching The Gifted?  I'm afraid it never grabbed me and I dropped it after the first season.18:05 Robert ReinekeSean, would you care to play Vegas oddsmaker? Please provide a percentage chance of winning for the following Oscar contenders. Avengers: Infinity War to win Best Visual Effects. Black Panther to win Best Production Design. Black Panther to win Best Sound Editing. Black Panther to win Best Sound Mixing. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to win Best Animated Feature. Black Panther to win Best Original Score. All the Stars from Black Panther to win Best Original Score. Black Panther to win Best Costume Design. And, Black Panther to win Best Picture.32:07 Alex WardThis is a tricky one, but aside from what we've already seen, what are five moments you think are most likely to happen in Endgame? Professor Hulk, Cap dying, etc. (And feel free to tiptoe around things you're more knowledgeable about due to leaks)38:54 Alex WardAre you a fan of Yorgos Lanthimos at all? If so, do you think there's any place for him in the MCU? Maybe a super awkward Fantastic Four movie?39:22 AlexWhat do you think of  the recent casting of Harry Lloyd as Charles Xavier for the last season of Legion? Do  you think its kind of strange to have two  live-action versions of the same iconic  character for television and film existing concurrently with each  other? Last time  I can recall this being a thing was the case with Smallvile and Superman Returns where Brandon Routh was playing the Last Son Of Krypton on film at the same time Tom Welling was playing a different version on television.  Its kind of odd to  me. especially considering both the third season of Legion and Dark Phoenix come out this year in June. prior to this news, I was under the  impression there was an X -embargo(similar to the Bat-embargo) which prohibited the use of A-list X-men characters like Wolverine for the television show but now with the casting of the third live-action Professor X before even the MCU has had the chance to  touch the character I wonder what happened behind-the-scenes.41:12 Nolan WildeHi Sean. I'd been considering this and the TV spot may have confirmed it but I'm not sure the World knows the whole story of the snap. The events of Infinity War happened very quickly and it didn't seem the Avengers informed anyone what was happening.Do you think there will be consequences as this is partly why the Sokovia accords were brought in and if the World finds out that the Avengers chose to act alone maybe it's possible they have been outcast?44:22 Mookie JohnsonIf the Doctor Strange movie with Nightmare does well, do you think that creates an opportunity for Blade to return to the big screen?45:11 David RosenHey Sean and Friends, hope all is well! Do you think that End Game will set up any of the Disney+ limited series? Do you think the movie will make it clear that some of the characters' stories will continue on? Also on the subject of the limited series, I believe I read just today (Tuesday) that Chris Evans might be getting a chance to sit in the director's chair for one or several limited series episodes. My first guess was that it would most likely be for the Sam and Bucky series. Perhaps maybe this is what was meant by one of the Russo bros when he “We haven't seen the last of Chris Evans.” What do you think about this news/rumor and what do you director Chris Evans could bring to an episode of the “Sam and Bucky Show” that maybe other directors couldn't?48:23 David RosenHey Sean, You did a great job with the shot by shot breakdown of the End Game superbowl spot! You talked a lot about the imagine, but didn't really say anything about the voiceover from Cap. What does his line, “Some people move on. But not us.” tell you about his/the team's mentality in this movie? What do you think “moving on” is referring to? The fact that hat they lost the battle with Thanos? That their loved ones are gone? That they're in a “new world”? Something else? Do you see this line as proof that the Avengers are likely going to be the aggressors in this movie?50:48 David RosenI think I had a little bit of a different interpretation about the shot of Liberty Island and all the boats around it, than I think you did. What I gathered was that with half the population (and perhaps more from collateral damage) gone, society in New York likely broke down and is in a state of anarchy and chaos and a number of people decided to “move” to Liberty Island and take refuge there, away from some of the chaos that might be occurring in the city. What do you think about this? Is that shot meant to suggest more than just what we are shown, that perhaps society is in a state of complete disarray, or just that a large number of boats, without captains, managed to float and get stuck at the island?53:02 Jeremy EdenA couple Christmases ago, my brother got me a copy of Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which I really enjoyed.  It was a fun mashup of two universes I've always loved.  We've seen some other strange universe crossovers in comic books before (JLA/Power Rangers, X-Men/Star Trek, DC/Looney Tunes, etc.)  Apart from a straight up MCU/DC crossover, which bizarre universe mashup (either real or one you make up) would you like to see make its way into the MCU, keeping in mind that nobody is REALLY asking for these to happen?54:38 David RosenSo I realized after rewatching the first End Game trailer that the Avengers compound seems to be lying right flush on a large body of water. As far as I know, aside from maybe a few lakes and the Hudson River, upstate New York doesn't really have any large bodies of water. I went back to watch the “training” scene in Antman, where they show the overhead exterior shot of the compound, and it didn't seem like the compound was sitting on any large body of water, and actually also looked entirely different from the one in the End Game trailer. I know that sometimes designs change between movies, but this seemed like a pretty big change. Ever since the first trailer premiered, one of the thoughts I had regarding Scott was that after getting out of the quantum realm, being in San Francisco, he would have had to then make a cross country drive in his van to the Avengers compound, perhaps even knot fully knowing where it is. But a west coast compound that is public knowledge might alleviate this problem. Do you think this might actually be a different Avengers compound that we're being shown in the trailer, perhaps one on the West Coast, setting up a West Coast Avengers?57:33 Seth GoslinSean, with the upcoming Black Widow film taking place before Avengers, would you like it to take place before she joined SHIELD or after? Would you prefer it to expand on an event previously referenced like Budapest or when Clint spared her or her encounter with the Winter Soldier, or would you like it to be outside of any previous references?59:37 David RosenHey Sean, I just saw the article you posted about the failed pilot order for a Marvel Television all female TV series.   This was the first I heard about this, but did you hear about this previously? Do you think this was the attempt at doing something with an all female cast that we've kept hearing and speculating about? If not, what do you think this non-order means, if anything, for future prospects of getting any kind of all female production?1:03:24 AlexIn addition to confirming once again that subsequent Deadpool films will retain the R-rating Bob Iger pointed out that other Disney  films may potentially  carry the R-rating in the future.  This tidbit of information got my little noggin thinking: do you think Marvel will eventually do a R-rated film besides The-Merc-With-The-Mouth or do you think they'll only strictly do PG-13 films with Deadpool being the lone exception to the rule? And keep up the good work,  man. You're doing a darn fine job.1:09:19 Michael Louis WeaselboyHey Sean I was just wondering who do you think will be the villain for Spiderman 3? And when do you think it will be released?1:12:18 AlexWe know that Star Wars exists in the MCU as a fictional property within the universe but how does nobody ever point out Nick Fury's uncanny resemblance to Mace Windu— who like Fury is played by Samuel motherf'ing Jackson? Does that mean only the original trilogy and sequel trilogy exist and the prequels never got made in the MCU  or do you think like our world the Star Wars prequels do in fact exist and maybe Mace Windu is just played by a different actor in the MCU?  Forgive me if you've received this type of question before but it just dawned on me.1:14:03 Daniel DavilaHey Sean I know I'm right on the deadline for this so I'll keep it short and sweet.  Do you think the living tribunal, eternity, galactus, etc. can be major players in the mcu?  Do you think they translate well to the big screen?  Love your show thanks again!1:15:53 Brian WhiteHi Sean. I would like you to expand your thoughts and comments on the idea of a Young Avengers or Champions movie. As any of us long time comic readers know, the movies have taken their liberties even while giving homage to the original material and this has mostly been successful. But so far we've seen titles and characters that came from the comics even if they were presented uniquely. Your comments about how MCU Peter Parker and Shuri can form the Young Avengers or Champions , both being characters that have never been part of either suggests to me that the MCU can create original characters and teams. In Iron Man 3, Tony gifted his sidekick Harley Keener with a lot of tech. He could show up in his own version of Iron Man armor and join up too - maybe he's the Sam Alexander you've been foreseeing. Do you foresee the MCU originating characters? No doubt the comics will copy them if it does. Thanks!1:18:39 ChristofferCan you recommend some books about Marvel – the MCU in particular – and comic book history in general?1:20:18 AlexAvengers: Endgame spoiler question See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
