In this week's episode of Awake & Winning, Kaylor sits down with Josh Seiter—the man who faked his own death… twice. After exposing uncomfortable truths about self-ID laws and gender ideology, Josh became the target of relentless death threats, forcing him to take extreme measures just to survive. Josh and Kaylor break down the media firestorm, the erasure of women's rights, and how mainstream narratives are aggressively protected at all costs. They expose how dissenting voices are silenced, why the mob is more powerful than ever, and what happens when ideology replaces reality. This is the type of episode that gets people canceled—but Josh refuses to stay silent. Listen now before they try to erase this conversation. _____________________________ Episode Highlights: freedom, gender identity, cancel culture, woke ideology, media manipulation, personal responsibility, self-ID laws, women's rights, parenting, political correctness, feminism, public education Takeaways: Women's rights are being erased under the guise of inclusivity Self-ID laws open the door for predators and manipulation Political correctness is being weaponized against free speech Most trans-identifying men have not had surgery, making policies even riskier The movement relies on emotional blackmail to enforce compliance Virtue signaling does more harm than good The backlash against woke ideology is gaining momentum If you enjoyed the episode, please be sure to take a screenshot and share it out on Instagram and tag @thekaylorbetts. Last weekend LGB Alliance Conference was attacked by Trans activists releasing insects at their event. We discuss why LGBA inspires such ire from Trans activists and how this attack was a form of resent-filled revenge after losing Self-ID with the Labour government. We also consider why young women are attracted to Transgender activism and why young T and Q activists are so committed to attempting to attach themselves to LGB (voyeuristic proximity to sexuality). Specifically, middle-class TRA women can be understood to be petulant, brattish 'scabs' that have no solidarity with other women who 'go on strike' against gender. Another aspect is how socially underdeveloped young women are attracted to transgenderism because it's a form of rejecting adult sexuality and adulthood, in a similar kind of way anorexia and political lesbianism are. Plus, devaluing other women as a defence, growing up a tall girl, the abject, the shortsightedness of being young, opting for stunts when can't organise mass protests, and the phenomenon of 'Trans until graduation'.
Shay Woulahan joins RedFem this week, standing in as co-host for Jen (who is under the weather), to discuss where we are at in regard to defeating gender ideology. Are we returning to 'true trans'? Is Trans becoming cringe and uncool amongst Gen Alpha (young teenagers) as much as the internet suggests? We comment on the new historical revisionism by those who pushed Self-ID and claimed there was no such thing as sex, now backtracking heavily due to the Cass Review. The quite incredible digital scenes of those who witch-hunted gender critical feminists for years, and claimed no men would ever abuse Self-ID, now using GC talking points from 2018. Plus, what's being going on in Ireland recently regarding gender identity, the trajectory of JK Rowling, the similarities between anorexia and 'gender dysphoria' in teen girls, the straight millennial women pushing gender ideology in schools, and the return to preppy 1980s culture, as summarised by TikTok club anthem of the summer, "I'm looking for a guy in Finance, 6'5, blue eyes".
We talk about the queer politics of Eurovision and the role of infantilism as an attempt to foreclose political criticism and how no one (not even Graham Norton) can keep up pronoun pretences for more than 5 minutes. We also discuss the flattening effect of the LGBT paradigm, our newly discovered term 'KERF' (Kink Exclusionary Radical Feminist), the frailty of queer politics, and the mind prison of transgenderism. We ask, what would a lesbian Eurovision look like? And are twink performers doing 'bimboism', but for gay men? We conclude that LGBTQ is today centrally about the Q and the T, and occasionally the G. Plus, through discussion of new lesbian dating show I Kissed A Girl (on BBC iplayer) we dissect political lesbianism as the embryonic form of woke identity politics. We discuss aspects of political lesbianism, such as Self-ID, invasion of lesbian spaces, lesbian erasure, covert entryism, and other Trans-like tactics. That leads to the debate around born this way vs. choice, lifestylism, and what is the definition of a lesbian? (Answer: a female homosexual).

Labour have promised to simplify and reform the Gender Recognition Act that helps trans people officially change their gender identity. Self ID will NOT be Labour policy - you will still need a medical assessment to transition. And they are drawing clear lines between sex and gender. Will this help politicians answer the toxic question of whether a woman can have a penis? And what does it tell us about Labour's direction of electoral travel? Who are they trying to please? Later we look at the protests in Israel and what the new 'reasonableness vote' means for Israel's claim on democracy.Editor: Tom HughesSenior Producer: Gabriel RadusProducer: Laura FitzPatrickPlanning: Alex BarnettVideo producers: Rory Symon & Will Gibson SmithSocial media editor: Georgia FoxwellThe News Agents is a Global Player Original and a Persephonica Production.

The Gender Recognition Reform Bill, aiming to streamline the process of transgender people obtaining a Gender Recognition Certificate, passed by 86 votes to 39. But the celebrations were short-lived. The British government - or, one member of that government, the Scottish Secretary of State Alister Jack, - blocked the Bill in an unprecedented move and constitutional first. Fears were cited that legislation could have an adverse impact on the Equality Act 2010, and therefore across the UK in areas like single sex spaces.Transgender people do not need a Gender Recognition Certificate to access any single-sex spaces. But across the media, Scotland's Gender Recognition Reform Bill was linked with transgender access to single-sex spaces. So what happened? What changes did the Bill actually propose? This week, Media Storm speaks to transgender people who have applied for Gender Recognition Certificates, about what the changes mean in real life, and asks what we can learn from other countries like Iceland and Ireland that already have progressive Self-ID laws in place. We're joined in the studio by author, actress, and activist Charlie Craggs to discuss media representation of the transgender community and gender self-ID.

The UK Government's decision to veto a bill passed by the Scottish Government, which would make it easier for children older than 16 to legally change their gender, has set off something of a political storm (a great summary can be found over at Spectator by Iain MacWhirter). Whilst this certainly has ramifications for UK-Scotland political relations, it also has set off a series of debates about gender identity, the rights of women, and even what the bill actually would mean in practice. Without a doubt, these debates are some of the most difficult to navigate in contemporary politics - and also some of the most heated. So we sat down to try and make sense of it all. On this episode of the Podcast of Ideas, Alastair Donald speaks to Susan Smith of For Women Scotland - the heroic campaigning organisation who have been defending the rights of women which are often undercut by legislation aiming to protect trans people. Claire Fox, Ella Whelan and Rob Lyons then join Alastair to mull over some of the implications in a bit more detail.
Scottish women suffered major blow in December when the SNP government passed a bill that will allow anyone to get a gender recognition certificate through self-declaration without a diagnosis of “gender dysphoria” or doctor's assessment. They will need only to claim to have been “living as a different gender” for three months. Teenagers will become…

Michelle Uriarau is a founding member of Mana Wāhine Kōrero - an advocacy group of and for Māori women who took strong positions against the 'Self ID' and 'Conversion Practises Bills. One of the roadblocks to getting their message out there has been the misrepresentation of Tikanga Māori (Māori Culture) which activists have used to justify gender non-conformity - despite there being absolutely no evidence that pre-colonial Māori accepted a fluid definition of gender. Michelle talks to Free Speech Union spokesperson Dane Giraud about who is spreading these mistruths and why - the silencing of Māori women generally - and how the current government is drastically undermining the submissions process www.fsu.nz/join Twitter: @MKorero https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTBLB0CizsFTu-oLb_Onq0ghttps://gettr.com/user/manawahinetalk?fbclid=IwAR2q__tF7TnVtvUNc0p2P5QWMetWcCUjaRRV35w6PQJBR09tpcatXsbp0KcSupport the show
Logicians are trained to pay close attention to the definitions of terms. For instance, in Patrick J. Hurley's Concise Introduction to Logic, chapter 2 is entirely about definitions. Definitions are a big deal. (Logic is a field of the discipline called Philosophy. Definitions are very important for the other fields, too). In law (I have a Masters in Philosophy, a Ph.D. in Public Law & American Politics, taught both Con Law and Logic), philosophy's love for definitions helps. Here is a conversation about what the word "woman" means. We could have picked other terms. Unlike all of the other words here on this description, some people think we need to redefine the term for political and/or moral reasons. The best correct definitions are those that provide necessary and sufficient conditions (in non-stipulative contexts). (A "stipulation" is just an agreement, like on a contract, or statute, of what a word means in a technical, limited sense). New gender terms that aren't merely stipulative suffer from a basic deficiency: they have trouble on their own terms respecting their own goals of inclusion and diversity rooted in self-identification . This is a pretty basic problem. And a lot of people can easily see it for exactly what it is. Let's call this revisionist view the Self ID view. This new attempted definition of an old word, says Logic Professor Dr. Tomas Bogardus, Ph.D., gives neither necessary nor sufficient conditions for being a real woman. And no matter how you feel about social justice or moral requirements, this is a persistent problem for the revisionist Self ID view of what a woman really is. It does no good to try to manipulate people out of seeing this problem for what it is using shame techniques that are themselves as old as time. People can think for themselves. People can see the manipulation for what it is, and false shaming is no true key to a correct definition of any term. This new movement to incorporate Self-ID into the cutting edge definition of the term “woman” inevitably doesn't satisfy necessary and sufficient conditions. The classical definition for woman in classic, standard hard-copy dictionaries says a real woman is an adult, human female. Let's call that the Classical View. English is very old. That old definition does give a plausible, internally consistent set of both necessary and sufficient conditions for what all and only women are, but is considered defective by recent revisionists for alleged reasons of ethical failure. We're in a real pickle if the classical definition meets the philosophical requirement for a good definition, but we are morally prohibited (we are told) from continuing to adopt it. Doesn't morality require us to be sensitive to truth in definitions? Or does morality require us to change definitions, even if they don't provide truthful cognitive connection with the meaning of the term ? Because the new, cutting edged proposals for revising what the term “woman” means fails a standard test of the best, correct definitions, doesn't it suffer from a fatal flaw? That flaw would be: the Self-ID revisionist view doesn't tell us what the word really means. It doesn't pick out all and only women in an internally, logically consistent way. Revisionist gender theorists are working to avoid the classical definition, but at what philosophical cost? How do we know these new, alleged demands of social justice really are binding on our old definitions in the way asserted ? Dr. Tomas Bogardus, Ph.D., who teaches Logic along with other courses in Philosophy at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, takes us through his careful writing on this topic, including a history of the debate of these matters. You can view his scholarly papers on his website here : https://sites.google.com/site/tbogardus/ The Republican Professor is a pro-understanding-reality, pro-getting-correct-and-accurate-definitions-of-terms podcast. Hannah covers what happened at American Airlines and Southwest this week and how/why pilots were the right people to protest vaccine mandates. Furthermore, the Loudon County Public School board voted to allow Self ID while at the same time a boy, who likes to wear dresses, was under electronic surveillance for sexually assaulting two different girls, one in the girls' school bathroom. Plus, a brief discussion on how to resolve injustice in the future.
We look at the issues central to the debates around sex and gender.
Heather Mason learned about biological males being assigned to women's prisons in Canada by being sentenced to one, on drug charges, and experiencing the problems this causes directly. After getting out for the last time, and kicking her drug habit, she became a voice for incarcerated women in Canada, particularly on the issue of gender Self ID. David and Heather talk about these situations, that these biological males are still sexually attracted to women, that they harass women, that sex reassignment surgery does not modify the personality. Heather also notes that women are often given training in how to be more assertive and to set boundaries around themselves, while biological males (regardless of gender identity) need training in how to be less assertive and aggressive. But in a women's prison, biological males get the training designed for biological females. Heather is one of the founding members of Canadian Women's Sex Based Rights: https://www.cawsbar.ca
