Prof Norman Fenton has been analysing the COVID data throughout the scamdemic. His background as a mathematician and his insights into data, statistics and risk have made him a go to person for many high profile commentators. We start the interview by looking at some short videos Prof Fenton used in his classes to show how easily fooled we can be. We ask how and why officials manipulated COVID data to exaggerate the crisis. Decision makers used data to fit their predetermined narrative. And we look at whether the government and MP's have taken Prof Fenton's challenge to ask the ONS specific points on their data. He has laid out the questions that MP's need to ask them, he is still waiting for a response. Prof Norman Fenton is Professor Emeritus of Risk at Queen Mary University of London (retired as Full Professor Dec 2022) and a Director of Agena, a company that specialises in artificial intelligence and Bayesian probabilistic reasoning. He is a mathematician by training with current focus on quantifying risk and uncertainty using causal, probabilistic models that combine data and knowledge (Bayesian networks). Prof Fenton has published 7 books and over 400 peer reviewed articles. His works covers multiple domains including especially law and forensics (He has been an expert witness in major criminal and civil cases), and health. Since 2020 Prof Fenton has been active in analysing data related to Covid risk. Interview recorded 12.1.24 Connect with Prof Fenton... Norman Fenton is a professor of Risk Information Management at Queen Mary University of London and director of Agena - a company focused on uncertainty quantification, probabilistic models and smart data. He has spoken out loudly and often against 'statistical illusions' that, though convincing, are in complete mathematical error. The professor believes these statistical illusions have been used by governments to falsely justify many policies, and that even his fellow statisticians who see the error are too afraid to speak out. Professor Fenton test the voracity of mortality statistics, vaccination statistics, infection/case statistics et al and in this interview he gives both the theory and calculations behind his claims that the world has been conned by bad statistical analysis. Photo: This is the official NASA portrait of the astronaut Michael Collins. Collins chose an Air Force career following graduation from West Point. He served as an experimental flight test officer at the Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards Air Force Base, California, and, in that capacity, tested performance and stability and control characteristics of Air Force aircraft, primarily jet fighters. Having logged approximately 5,000 hours flying time, Collins was one of the third group of astronauts named by NASA in October 1963. Collins completed two space flights, logging 266 hours in space, of which, 1 hour and 27 minutes was spent in Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA). On July 18, 1966, he served as backup pilot for the Gemini VII mission which included a successful rendezvous and docking with a separately launched Agena target vehicle and, using the power of the Agena, maneuvered the Gemini spacecraft into another orbit for a rendezvous with a second, passive Agena. His skillful performance in completing two periods of EVA included the recovery of a micrometeorite detection experiment from the passive Agena. July 16-24, 1969, Collins served as command module (CM) pilot on Apollo 11, the historic first lunar landing mission. He remained aboard the CM, Columbia, on station in lunar orbit and performed the final re-docking maneuvers following a successful lunar orbit rendezvous with the Lunar Module (LM), Eagle. South Africa’s newly appointed director-general in the presidency and secretary of cabinet, Phindile Baleni, may be soft-spoken but when she speaks, she commands authority from her audience. This week the Sunday Times sat down with Baleni who talks tough on corruption, shares her hopes and fears for her new role and tells us what makes her tick.
A highly-entertaining clash between Kiel and Veszprém gave us plenty to talk about as the Men's EHF Champions League takes a break, that plus whether anyone can stop Barca? The Women's EHF Champions League has given us plenty to talk about and Laura Agena joined us to break down the season so far.
Wendi and Dfernando's thirteenth episode and their guest interview is with actress, artist and author Keiko Agena. Keiko Agena is currently a series regular on the FOX series PRODIGAL SON where she plays Dr. Edrisa Tanaka. In between Agena has been a series regular on Hulu’s THE FIRST and recurring on BETTER CALL SAUL, DIRTY JOHN and 13 REASONS WHY. As a guest star she has appeared on such shows as SHAMELESS, SCANDAL and NCIS: Los Angeles to name a few.

We left off last week after Buzz Aldrin’s third and final EVA. The hard work for the Gemini 12 mission was now complete. Even with the problems with the radar, the Agena main engines, and the fuel cells, Gemini XII as a whole had gone very well…
When the Gemini IX-A Agena fell into the Atlantic Ocean, Gemini XII was threatened with a major hardware shortage of an Agena and an Atlas to launch it. Replacing the Agena was no real problem. Lockheed’s first production model, 5001, used for development testing at the Cape, had already been sent back to the Sunnyvale plant for refurbishment. Now it was simply a matter of tailoring it to the Gemini XII mission…
On today's episode I talk to actor and author Keiko Agena. Keiko is best known for the TV show Gilmore Girls, where she played Lane Kim for seven seasons and reprised the role in 2016 for the Netflix series. As a guest star, she has appeared on such shows as Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, Shameless, Scandal, House, ER, Better Call Saul and many others, and recently she has been recurring on Sweet/Vicious, Colony, the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why and the upcoming Hulu series The First. Keiko is also a improviser, having studied at UCB, iO and the Groundlings, and she performs in and produces the UCB show Asian AF. In addition to all this, she recently wrote an artists workbook entitled No Mistakes, which was published by the Penguin/Random House imprint TarcherPerigee earlier this month! We're so thrilled to get to talk to Keiko Agena, artist, actress, and author of No Mistakes: A Perfect Workbook for Imperfect Artists. Keiko is best known for her role as Lane Kim on the TV show Gilmore Girls, which just so happens to be a favorite show of ours! We loved diving into what makes this workbook/creative journal so special, and how Keiko Agena encourages people to put aside pressures of perfection to embrace beautifully flawed art! We talked about finding your "artist" voice when you don't feel creative, pushing creative boundaries, loving your process, and how learning to tap into your creativity without fear can bring a little more kindness into this world. NO MISTAKES: A Perfect Workbook for Imperfect Artists What if there were no mistakes? OK, that's impossible--but what if you learned to view your mistakes in a whole new light? In this inspiring workbook, artist and Gilmore Girls actress Keiko Agena guides you through simple exercises based on one of the founding ideas of improv: Any misstep is an opportunity for growth and creativity. Interspersed with coloring pages and original artwork by Agena, each exercise teaches you to confront your emotions, rethink your art, and take mindful breaks to recharge in her own playful, encouraging voice. Keiko Agena is best known for the TV show, Gilmore Girls, where she played Lane Kim for seven seasons and reprised the role in 2016. As a guest star she has appeared on such shows as NCIS LA, Shameless, Scandal, House, ER and 13 Reasons Why.
Some significant goals had been set for the last two Gemini flights. For example, the Apollo Spacecraft Program Office wanted a rendezvous in the first spacecraft orbit, which would simulate lunar orbit rendezvous. There was also interest in linking an Agena to a the Gemini spacecraft by a tether and then spinning the combination to produce some artificial gravity.
“At first, the sensation I got was that there was a pop, then there was a big explosion and a clang. We were thrown forward in the seats. We had our shoulder harnesses fastened. Fire and sparks started coming out of the back end of that rascal. The light was something fierce, and the acceleration was pretty good. The vehicle yawed off – I don’t remember whether it was to the right or to the left – but it was the kind of response that the Lockheed people had predicted we would get. . . . The shutdown on the was just unbelievable. It was a quick jolt . . . and the tailoff . . . I never saw anything like that before, sparks and fire and smoke and lights.” John Young Gemini X.
From the previous episode, it was decided that the name of Gemini VI would be changed to Gemini VI-a to distinguish it from the originally planned mission whose objective was to rendezvous with the Agena target vehicle. Gemini VII would be launched first before Gemini VI-a and it would be considered the target vehicle effectively replacing the Agena. After Gemini VII lifted off, Gemini VI-a would be transferred to the launch pad and prepared to launch as soon as possible. After Gemini VI-a rendezvoused with Gemini VII, it would return to earth before Gemini VII.
Many doubted that Agena could be ready in time to meet Gemini’s tight launch schedules. The end of 1965 saw Agena’s usefulness in manned space flight once again called into question, but this time time a substitute target had already been approved for development…
