The Three Biggest Obstacles For Karen Read's Defense In New Trial Did Karen Read's own words just become the prosecution's best weapon? As the second trial looms, things aren't looking any cleaner for either side. The prosecution's biggest nightmare? A lead investigator who went full villain, got fired for drinking on the job, and couldn't stop trash-talking the alleged killer before the ink was even dry on the reports. But while the state tries to recover from those optics, Karen Read might be tanking her own case with her midnight rants, confessions, and… pickle chips? With paramedics' notes, contradictory statements, and bizarre public appearances stacking up, the defense is going to have to work overtime to paint her as misunderstood instead of unhinged. Oh, and about that defense fund—turns out some die-hard supporters are going broke funding more than just legal bills. Is it fraud if she never said it was for lawyers, just vaguely "defense-y" things? Will the jury see past the circus and get to the cold, hard facts? #KarenRead #TrueCrimeToday #HiddenKillers #JenniferCoffindaffer #MurderTrial #CrimePodcast #JusticeDebate Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Daily Boost Show Notes - Episode 5049 When Overthinking Becomes Your Biggest Obstacle Host: Scott Smith Episode Description In this energetic episode, Scott Smith shares a powerful lesson he learned during his days as a radio host that has become one of his most quoted pieces of advice. With his trademark blend of humor and straight talk, Scott tackles the common tendency to get stuck in preparation mode – what he calls "fixing to get ready." Drawing from a memorable call he received while hosting a Saturday night radio show, Scott reveals how many of us waste valuable time overthinking, researching, and planning when we should be taking action. He challenges listeners to recognize their stalling and offers practical wisdom on breaking free from this pattern. Whether you're building a business, pursuing a passion, or simply trying to progress toward a goal, this episode provides the motivation to stop preparing and start moving forward – even when the path ahead isn't perfectly clear. Featured Story During his days hosting a popular radio show called "70s Saturday Night," Scott received a call from a woman who said she was "fixing to get ready" to go out. When asked what that meant, she explained she was thinking about what to wear, whether it needed ironing, if her date would like it – essentially wasting time because she had time to waste. This chance conversation became a powerful metaphor for Scott, as it showed how people spend too much time thinking, pondering, and worrying instead of taking action toward their goals. Key Takeaways "Fixing to get ready" is the state of perpetual preparation that prevents real progress Clarity is what separates those who achieve their goals from those who don't Not knowing what to do next is the #1 thing that stops people from getting what they want Having a clear roadmap or framework eliminates the tendency to stall in preparation mode There's a time and place for "fixing to get ready" moments, but living there permanently leads to stagnation If you don't know your purpose, your purpose is to find your purpose You can't get to where you want to go from where you are with the same mindset The moment you start moving forward, you begin transforming into a different person Don't buy into the myth that success comes easily or without hard work Everything you want is somewhere down the road, not where you are today Memorable Quotes "Don't buy into the myth that life is easy. If you want anything, you must lay the groundwork and work hard." "If you don't know your purpose, your purpose is to find your purpose." "The sooner you start moving, the sooner you get what you want." Scott's Three-Step Approach Recognize When You're Stalling: Be honest with yourself when you're in "fixing to get ready" mode instead of taking action Figure Out the Next Step: Even if you're not completely clear on the entire path, identify just the following action you need to take Move Forward Anyway: Take action even without perfect clarity, knowing that movement creates momentum and clarity will develop along the way Connect With Scott Search for The Daily Boost on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. 1.)Wrong or too less communication about what you want, how you feel leads to divorce. Communicate what you want and accept what your spouse expect from you! When both are hurting each other continuously, the love will end soon. Communicate what hurts you, without blemishing the other person!!! Because everybody is responsible for his/her life! 2.)Sex is not working out. I don't care if you agree or not… Males and females have a sexual drive and if the sex is not working out then the cheating will happen. The sexual drive is the second strongest drive of the human species. In the older age, the sex drive diminishes. Talk about openly what you want, without hurting each other. It might be scaring!3.)Money problem… There exist only 10% of the people who love to save money and 90% are overspender. What happens if a saver is together with an overspender? Clashes…. Money problems lead to 50% to divorces. Talk openly about your debts, income and how much you save every month! T. Harv Eker has created for that a great system… 4.) Connect with the spouse family and check out what they expect from you. Otherwise, the spouse family can harm your relationship tremendous. For instance, in Asia is the family more important than the spouse, can you live with that?5.) Distributing the dirty work. When both are working, both should make the cleaning. Create a good system for both!6.) Understand the need and the kind of love your partner need. For instance, some girls love to kiss always and I don't like that. Chris talks through two major challenges to making real and lasting progress with OCD and the anxiety-related disorders. The first challenge is learning how to find compulsions. Many people, including even people who've been to therapy, don't know how to do this. And that's a major problem. Because if they don't know how to find compulsions, then it's only a matter of time before OCD is a step ahead of them again. The second challenge is patience. The truth is getting better in a real way takes time and work. Another way to say that is, it takes patience. And people who want results quickly (and, of course that's all of us to some degree) are in for a rude awakening.
There are many obstacles that new investors face when they begin their real estate investing journey. Anything from finances, education, to simply just not knowing the right people. It can be very daunting for people to start investing. Real estate investing is misunderstood, and people tend to overcomplicate the process. That's not to say that it's easy... because it's not. It just doesn't have to be complicated. LEAVE A REVIEW if you liked this episode!! Keep up with the podcast! Follow us on Apple, Stitcher, Google, and other podcast streaming platforms. True prayer is an inventory of wants, a catalog of necessities, and a revelation of HIDDEN POVERTY. Although prayer appeals to and seeks the divine abundance found through Christ Jesus in Heaven, it is also an acknowledgment of human insufficiency and is a confession of human emptiness. God in His grace and mercy gives us the strength and power to pray through the Holy Spirit in Jesus Name!DONATE You can help support this podcast by clicking our secure PayPal account. To a certain degree, we are all holding onto the earthly things that are keeping us from fully embracing where God wants us to be We're not here to beat ourselves up, but whatever season you're in, there has to be a next level to strive toEven when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you should still wake up thirsty for the Lord Pride and arrogance force us to lean on self-esteem, self-improvement and self-help so that we can say I can take care of me, and I dont need God. One leads to progressive brain damage driven by the always immediate need for more...Dopamine...in others words an addictive personality, and addict. The other is about the contentment of long term goals that require deferred gratification and joy of relationships.
