Ep 278 | Philly Garbageman Strike Chaos

    Normal World

In this episode of "Normal World," Dave Landau and Angela are joined by Mike Imbasciani, filling in for 1/4 Black Garrett, as the chaos kicks off with stories of exes in the woods changing colostomy bags — and only gets more hysterical from there. A Ronald McDonald statue is stolen in Pennsylvania, sparking an epic theory involving RFK Jr. and sketchy surveillance footage. Then it's off to Las Vegas, where thousands have been living in storm tunnels — until a $15 million flood project begins flushing them out. Back above ground, Philadelphia is drowning in garbage as the city's sanitation strike spirals — and somehow it all ties into a roast of Will Smith's new album, which drops just as trash piles up across the streets of his hometown. From Philly's garbage crisis to Smith's musical misfire, the three connect the cultural dots with brutal comedy. They also riff on McDonald's app culture, creepy Happy Meal toys, and '90s sitcom stars. A “Half-Assed Top 10” reimagines black James Bond titles, followed by Biden impressions and jabs at Jake Tapper and Hunter Biden's laptops. The show closes with a mentorship draft for Shedeur Sanders — now apparently under Deshaun Watson's wing. Today's guest on "Normal World" is comedian Kris Olson. Explosions, wisecracks, and that unforgettable slow-mo shirtless sprint—this week, the No More Late Fees crew is going full Michael Bay with Bad Boys! Jackie and Danielle are joined by Jamie from Millennial Misery to relive the buddy cop chaos that launched a franchise (and gave us sweaty Will Smith in an open silk shirt). From high-octane car chases to questionable wig choices, they unpack every explosive twist, behind-the-scenes feud, and fishy bathroom brawl—literally, there are fish flying during one of the fight scenes. It's Bayhem at its finest and most orange-tinted.Along the way, the trio dishes out fun facts, recasts that almost happened (Dana Carvey as Mike Lowry?!), and the messy origins of Bad Boys that somehow still gave us action movie gold. They even manage to connect it all to Dexter and Denny's. It's nostalgic chaos you don't want to miss. So grab a Coke and a smile and press play—because this episode is ride-or-die hilarious.·Season 5 Episode 13·—No More Late Fees https://nomorelatefeespodcast.com909-601-NMLF (6653)—Follow Us on Social:Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/nomorelatefees TikTokhttps://www.tiktok.com/@nomorelatefees Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/nomorelatefeesYoutubehttps://www.youtube.com/@nomorelatefees Twitterhttps://x.com/NoMoreLateFees —CONQUERingmyconquering.com10% Off Code: JACKIE10—NostaBeautyhttps://nostabeauty.com 20% Off Code: NMLF—JamieInstagramhttps://www.instagram.com/millennial_miseryhttps://www.instagram.com/hrbestiespodhttps://www.instagram.com/humorous_resourceshttps://www.instagram.com/the_chiefmemeofficerPrevious EpisodesAnchormanhttps://nomorelatefeespodcast.com/episode/anchormanStay Classy Millennials: Ranking the Y2K Will Ferrell-versehttps://nomorelatefeespodcast.com/episode/stay-classy-millennials-ranking-the-y2k-will-ferrell-verse

They also break down zodiac signs, death row meals, Jeff Bezos's wedding, Oprah's lesbian love life, and why chicks might just be a little dumb sometimes. It's not that everyone who is steadily chanting Harē Kṛṣṇa or reading feels like doing it all the time, especially in the beginning. And for whatever reason, it could be the punishment-reward system that you had, as you mentioned. It could be subliminal. And the way to deal with that in the beginning of the practice, as I'm sure you know from many of the disciplines that you've applied in your life—education or sports or music or anything like that—is you have to turn professional. There's a book that I like. It's mostly about writing, and it's called The War of Art, not The Art of War. The War of Art means that when you want to do something creative, like write something, you may face what the author Steven Pressfield (who, by the way, is the author of the book The Legend of Bagger Vance, which was turned into a movie about Bhagavad Gītā and stars Will Smith) says: when you go to do something worthwhile, there's this resistance in the universe—instilled Resistance with a capital 'R'—very difficult to overcome. For instance, in writing, people often write books in their head, but when it comes time to sit down and actually do it, there's a strong resistance. Or to paint, or to learn a musical instrument. It's a lot harder in the beginning when you realize that you have to work at it. So what is his solution? He says you have to turn pro, like professionals; they show up and they just do it, whether they feel like it or not. And that's what in the beginning of devotional service, Rūpa Goswāmī described vaidhi bhakti—it's a discipline. In the beginning, you have to use your intelligence. Kṛṣṇa says in the Bhagavad Gītā: evaṁ buddheḥ paraṁ buddhvā saṁstabhyātmānam ātmanā jahi śatruṁ mahā-bāho kāma-rūpaṁ durāsadam (BG 3.43) In the beginning, you have to use your intelligence to see what's good for you, like, you know, for studying for school, right? You may not feel like doing it sometimes, right? Is that a correct assumption? Yes. But you know, if I don't study, I'm going to suffer more later, because I'm going to sit down for the test and realize "Ah if I just put in a few more hours a day, I would have been ready for this." And you have to apply a similar principle in the beginning for chanting. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

It's also a fierce competition and one of the contestants steals the victory in the end. | The guys give Will Smith's new song a listen and they don't hate it. Jay hates Billie Eilish-type singers who whisper and mumble into the microphone. | Jewel shares a photo of herself that starts out sexy until they zoom in on what she was really highlighting. *To hear the full show to go www.siriusxm.com/bonfire to learn more FOLLOW THE CREW ON SOCIAL MEDIA: @thebonfiresxm @louisjohnson @christinemevans @bigjayoakerson @robertkellylive @louwitzkee @jjbwolfSubscribe to SiriusXM Podcasts+ to listen to new episodes of The Bonfire ad-free and a whole week early.  Start a free trial now on Apple Podcasts or by visiting siriusxm.com/podcastsplus.

It's the return of the thought-provoking, hilarious, and socially active podcaster MeMe Cherry! MeMe joins Keith to help discuss Pride Month, what you can do about it in 2025, and the world's latest series of UNfortunate events. The duo also discusses the closing of Diddy's trial, Will Smith taking back his apologies to us and Chris Rock, and TV shows that Keith apparently loves to hate. (Yes, The Bear and Squid Game are back.)
