Today Craig shares how we need to live in the tension of both of these truths.

Welcome! Today Craig’s got a deep-dive into Anti-Virus software. Which should you use? What is anti-Virus’s pioneer saying? What’s the future? For more tech tips, news, and updates visit - CraigPeterson.com --- Read More: Zoom defenders cite legit reasons to not end-to-end encrypt free calls --- Automated Machine-Generated Transcript: If you're like most people in the online world you have used zoom, you might even have put it in place for your business. They've now come out and said they are going to have end-to-end encryption. What's this all about? [00:00:17] Hi everybody. Craig Peterson here. Welcome back. Thanks for joining us. We're going to talk a little bit about zoom right now. You've heard me. I'm sure. Talked about it before and how I am constantly nagging you guys that if you are a business, you should not use zoom for anything that might be proprietary. [00:00:42] Zoom has been nailed and criticized multiple, multiple times. Zoom has been caught, lying about doing encryption more than once. Zoom was caught routing customer calls through China. Can you imagine that you're using Zoom? You're a business and your calls are going to China. They were caught installing a server on the Mac iOS application platform. [00:01:12] Now this is really, really something. This was the final straw. This is where we absolutely laid down the law with our employees and our customers. You may not use Zoom. Even if you installed zoom from Macko Wes zoom had a piece of software that constantly phoned home information. Even after you want to install the Mac zoom application, this list just goes on and on. [00:01:44] If you bought a higher-end zoom system for your business. And you had one of their controllers in your office, you know, a physical piece of hardware server. It had a brand it's his crazy, basically a zero-day back door wide open that they had put in purposely. That exposed every device on your network to hackers on the internet, anybody on the internet, can you believe that it's absolutely crazy. [00:02:21] Another company we were at just this week, we were doing some analysis, replacing firewalls with something much, much, much better. And. We're looking at the firewall configuration. Right? Cause you want to do that. You want to make sure, okay. We're putting in a new firewall that has way more features that can monitor what's going on. [00:02:42] That's going to block evilness. That's going to keep itself up to date. Right? All things that the basic firewalls that you buy online are not gonna be able to do for you. So we're looking at the configuration of their existing firewall. Now imagine our shock and amazement. When we saw that the firewall had a port wide open, the HTTPS port, the port you would use for a server that had the port wide open from the outside world. [00:03:15] In other words, anybody can connect to it. And that connected directly to their database server internally to SQL server, which wasn't even patched up. It's absolutely incredible. What's going on? We've got to pull up our socks. You have to do an audit. You know, I think I might do that again. What about a year and a half ago we had over a thousand people. [00:03:41] That we did free cyber health assessments for a lot of them were just home users, a number of businesses. And I have already sent out an email to businesses on my email list saying, Hey, listen, I will pay to have some of my security people talk to you now. Obviously we got to schedule it and everything else, but, um, Talk to you and fix your problems, not sell you a thing. [00:04:06] These are fire jumper, certified security people. Okay. They know what they're doing, but zoom, this is what they're doing. Right. And on top of it, they have most of the development done in China. So the developers aren't costing them hardly anything. Can you believe this? Right? It's a, it's easy to use, but it is a security. [00:04:29] Nightmare. What we use is WebEx teams. That's what we install for our clients. We have WebEx teams, phones. We have WebEx teams, apps on all of our smart devices, right. That's what we use. It is secure and to, and we actually control the security where we have the security keys and everything else. [00:04:53] So it has some of the highest levels of security on it. That's what we use. If you're not going to use WebEx teams, you might consider using Microsoft teams, which is okay. But again, Microsoft misrepresents, just like we talked about Google, uh, the, the levels of security you have. Now, if you dig into the documentation, Microsoft is going to be telling you the truth. [00:05:20] Okay. They're not lying, but the marketers. Excuse me. They just don't understand this stuff well enough, frankly, to make marketing materials because they end up misrepresenting. It goes on and on. Anyhow. So if you have looked. In Twitter, for instance, and you keep track of security stuff. Cause I know a lot of you guys you're the best and the brightest out there, you are watching some of these security conversations that are going on over on Twitter, but you've, I'm sure seen zoom just ripped. [00:05:56] Ripped ripped for his plans to enable end to end the encrypted video. What they're doing right now is an encrypted video from your computer using their 256-bit key, which is, uh, not great, but they encrypt it to their servers. And basically anybody can hop onto any of these zoom calls or they put a few things in place. [00:06:19] That's going to make it a little bit easier, a little bit better. But what they're saying is we're going to add end to end encryption and they have put a document up on Github, which is a website that's used by open source developers, zooms, put a document up there saying, okay, this is what we're planning on doing. [00:06:37] For our security strategy. What do you guys think? We'll see what happens, but Zoom is only going to be providing this end to end encryption for the video and audio and files for their paid customers. So when I looked around a little bit, I found our friends over at the electronic found frontier foundation, really complaining about this. [00:07:04] Because what they're saying is the people that cannot afford to have their messages exposed, cannot afford to pay for the encryption, the quote, right from their site here, we applaud zoom for building strong. And to end encryption into their service, but by limiting this security enhancement to pay the accounts, Zoom is denying privacy protections to the participant who may need them most. [00:07:38] And of course, they're talking about people primarily in third world countries. And giving people special access. Like if, if they gave the FBI or local law enforcement special access to these encrypted sessions, if it's available to one government it's available to more than one government. Right. And so they're concerned about that too. [00:08:01] And I, I think that's absolutely legitimate to be concerned about that, but. We'll see what happens here because what zoom is planning on doing is only having this end to end encryption for the paid accounts because they do not want these pedophiles. And some of the terrorists here are domestic terrorists in the US as well as internationally zoom doesn't want them using their platform to plot. [00:08:30] Plan coordinate, organize, et cetera. Now I talked earlier about signal and what signal is doing and Signal is end to end encrypted, no matter what, right. It is absolutely free. And that's what Moxie Marlinspike put out and why he did it. WhatsApp is the same way, but, uh, well, we'll see what happens with zoom because they're figuring, Hey, if you are paying for an account, You have a credit card that you're paying with there's some way of pain and that can be tracked by law enforcement if they need to track it. [00:09:07] So we'll just leave it at that, right. It's going to make it easy enough. And if you're not paying for it, which is how most of these pedophiles and others are apparently doing it. Do you using free accounts while then you get what you deserve? So don't use Zoom. I can't trust them. They've lied to us again and again and again. [00:09:26] And it's been proven multiple times. They're under investigation right now by a couple of federal agencies for some of these lies and misrepresentations. Don't use zoom use WebEx teams, which is what we use. And we use it with our customers, or maybe look at Microsoft teams, stick around. We've got I'll wrap up. [00:09:50] And one more thing. Welcome! Today Craig discusses secure communications and how we can keep our information from being used by the bad guys. For more tech tips, news, and updates visit - CraigPeterson.com --- Read More: Signal is adding automatic face blurring to help protesters --- Automated Machine Generated Transcript: Craig Peterson: Have you ever wondered how you can blur the pictures that you're taking on your camera? Maybe also remove location data, GPS, all of that stuff. Well, that's what we're going to talk about right now and how rioters are doing it too. [00:00:22] Yes. Hello. Hello, Craig Peterson here. Thanks for joining me. We're on every week, you can subscribe online as well. CraigPeterson.com/subscribe and get all of my latest information. [00:00:35] We've got a bit of a problem out there that you might have heard about. In fact, if you haven't heard about it, you're probably living under a rock somewhere. [00:00:44] But here's the problem. We have people out in the street picketing, they're rioting. They're really trying to get their voices heard. Now what's behind it all, that's a subject for a completely different show. We're going to talk about technology as we do every week. What we're finding right now is that while they're out there taking pictures, they're doing all kinds of silly/stupid things with them. For instance, we've got them posting pictures on Twitter of illegal things they're doing, or they've done, which allows the police to get at them, right? So they're looking, what can we do? How can we keep our information private and you know what? It's actually a great topic for all of us because. [00:01:33] All of us are under attack. We've got the bad guys going at us, trying to steal our information and then use it against us. Look at what's been happening with business email compromise with businesses that are responding to emails. They shouldn't have, it happened to Barbara Corcoran. There she is. She's one of the people you think would know better. [00:01:56] She's on Shark Tank. She's a big-time investor who started her whole career in real estate and has done very, very well for herself. And she got fooled into sending $400,000 to the bad guys. It can happen to you her, it can happen to you. It can happen to anybody. So how do we keep our information safe? And in this day and age, young kids, you don't want necessarily the pictures online. [00:02:25] You sure don't want GPS coordinates to be there. Well, that's where some very innovative people have been spending time lately. And. You can have the advantage that bad guys are using as well. And that is using some of these apps that are designed to keep your data safe. Many of us have been using zoom for everything from meetings through weddings, being able to attend remotely. [00:02:56] Things that we'd never been able to really pay any attention to before because we were so far away. And of course, now we're being forced to be so far away. Well, there is a piece of software called Signal and Signal's, founder and CEO. His name is Moxie, Marlinspike. I bet that's not the name he was born with and he has developed a protocol. [00:03:21] And an app. Now, this protocol is secure end to end. What that means is if there is someone in the middle, anywhere in the middle of your communications, they can capture data from your communications, but they can't tell what that data is. In other words, they can get the data stream, but it's encrypted. [00:03:46] They don't know if this is a video. If this is voice, if you're sending files back and forth, they just don't know. And at this point in time, anyways, we've seen that the law enforcement agencies and certainly the bad guys have had a hard time with some of this data. So if you need to try and keep your information safe, how to, how do you do it? [00:04:10] Well, WhatsApp is one of those pieces of software out there that's using Signal's open-source, secure messaging platform. So is Facebook Messenger, now. They're planning on introducing a new feature. Also, that lets you quickly blur people's faces when you're sharing photos. And what Signal is doing is you can set it up to automatically blur a face, and it will put a little square rectangle over what it deems to be a face. [00:04:44] And then you can go in and modify that and make it a little bit bigger. Now, maybe you want to get rid of a little bit more stuff in the background, and while it's doing that, it's also turning it into a flat JPEG. It's removing all of the extraneous information about the camera that took the picture. [00:05:04] What the focal length of the lens was, the lens speed, everything that might help to track it down, trace it down to the originator. It's also removing the GPS information those geocodes. Now that's very important as well because the bottom line that's how some of these bad guys are tracking us down. For instance, there are stalkers out there. [00:05:29] Ex's ex-wives, ex-husband's ex-boyfriends, girlfriends that have been stalking their ex online. And have been grabbing photos that are posted and then look at the geocode information in it to figure out where they are at. That is a problem. If you ask me a very, very big problem, because now they have a location down to a street address, right? These things are very, very accurate within a couple of meters. [00:06:01] So what do you do? Well, you can certainly use Signal if you are an Android user, you can even set up Signal to be your default messaging application. Now, remember if you use Signal to send a message to someone that has a regular phone, or that does not have Signal, it's going to go in the clear, which is kind of like Apple's iMessage. If you're using iMessage, your data is secure end to end, which is great. Right? But not everybody has. I message. However signal is available on all of the mobile platforms and on a few others as well. So you can now use Signal to communicate securely with someone you can use iMessage to communicate securely with someone, both of which are great. [00:06:53] WhatsApp is also very popular. I have a mastermind group that I'm in and we use WhatsApp for group messaging as well as for individual messaging. Where we'll send a quick note to somebody else in the group saying, Hey, I noticed you sent this out today or you did this, or, Hey, this was in the news. You might want to follow up on it, et cetera. [00:07:14] Now, with this, the blurring thing, now we're kind of asking if this is crossing a line. What we're seeing is now that there's obviously great use for encryption. Very good encryption. When it's me sending you a message so that a bad guy does not intercept it and then use it against us. Just steal our money or cause all kinds of havoc, right? [00:07:42] Blackmail, you name. It can happen, but where's the line when it comes to bad guys. You know, on the complete other-side of that scale, you have people who kill people, who mame and rob and steal, the obvious, bad guys. Then somewhere in the middle of, there's gotta be some sort of a line. The problem is you cannot define that line, frankly. [00:08:08]Where is it? How do they know what you're using it for? And that gets to be a real problem. So if you want to keep your data safe, you can. And probably the best way to do this is to use signal. Use this basic blur face functionality that it has and use it to remove kids faces, or are there people who might be in the shot who might not want their information, you know, their face to be spread out on your Facebook page or wherever it might be a, but. [00:08:42] Will you remember that it is secure end to end. So unless the person receiving it then shares it, you aren't in any trouble of having shared data. You did not want to share, but if they receive one of these blurred messages, well, It's removed everything from that photo, the date, the time, the camera information, the GPS, everything else. [00:09:05] So there you go. There's a little bit of about what you can do right now. That is free software. By the way, is open-source. It's turned by the nonprofit signal foundation. And if you don't have Signal installed, you might want to do it. [00:09:19] I use it to communicate with some of my clients and some of my friends and have for quite a few years, I haven't found any real problems. Now, a word of caution. There are some other apps out there. For instance, I found one online for the iPhone and it's a shortcut. Now Apple's iPhone has this concept of shortcuts, which is really rather cool. It lets you tie apps together to do different things. [00:09:45]this particular shortcut. Remove some of these geoinformation and other things from pictures. So you might want to set yourself up a shortcut that does that. There are some apps that do that. In fact, on your iPhone. When you take a picture with that here I can mode where it is, including a little bit of video, basically, before the picture, a lot of places have trouble with that. [00:10:10] So you can use one of these converters to turn it that picture into a regular JPEG and remove all of the personal information that's on it. This blur faces shortcuts, gallery.com. Shortcut that I found I do not as I went through it. I looked at the code that's behind it and it actually sends it up to an Amazon web server. [00:10:33] That picture. That you've taken, which now means, who knows just how much that, how secure it is, how much that could be shared. Right. It really could be a problem for you. So keep that in mind as well. Don't use some of these things. Be very careful. Be very cautious. Hey, when we come back, we're going to talk about some new security settings that have come into Chrome and are turned on by default in Firefox. [00:11:04] We'll tell you what they are when you should use them. And frankly, when you should not use them, it is causing. All kinds of fits and panics in the security world out there. So stick around, you're listening to Craig Peterson and we'll be back in just a couple of minutes. [00:11:22]Also if you do sign up on my website, Craig peterson.com. A little bit more about Huawei, but we went into some details on this whole idea of China owning and providing some 97% of precious metals. And those are now getting pulled into this entire trade battle. And some serious time talking about the wake-up call that new grads are going to get when they report for their first job after Graduation. Airing date: 05/29/2019 Intel Vulnerability and Inevitable Lawsuits, Huawei, China and Precious Metals and College Graduates Get A Surprise. --- Craig This morning I was on with, of course, Ken and Matt and we spent some time talking about some of the issues of the day. We got into a whole bunch here about some lawsuits that are in the works on your behalf against Intel. A little bit more about Huawei, but we went into some details on this whole idea of China owning and providing some 97% of precious metals. And those are now getting pulled into this entire trade battle. And some serious time talking about a wake-up call for grads. So a lot this morning, and here we go. Matt 738 on a Wednesday means Craig Peterson joins us as he does now Craig How are you this morning? Craig Hey, good morning doing well, I hear you getting chickens. Matt No, I'm not getting chickens. But my wife says she wants chickens. I think that this is a fad. But, hey, it's possible, you never know. Craig Well, we have chickens. I've had them for years. They're easy to take care of, and they do keep the bugs down. If you want to get rid of the ticks, which are nasty this year, then chickens can help, but Guinea hens are supposed to be the best, but they are loud and obnoxious. Matt Yeah, no, I'm not going be doing that. Ken Neighbors would love that, of course, a better than the rock concert and whisper. Ken So, Mr. Peterson, who you, by the way, you can go to Craigpeterson.com any time and get his newsletter and find out all about tech stuff. Doesn't every computer have Intel in it? Everything has Intel Inside. So, are we all screwed here? Craig Yeah, this is a really, big deal here. And I just don't get it. They seem to be getting a pass. You know, Ken if you if someone came to you, I know you deal primarily with marital laws, Ken I do. Craig But if someone came to you says, Hey, I bought this device to do this job. It's advertised to do it. And it's only doing it about half as well as advertised. Would they have a case? Would there be a class action to suit? Ken Yeah Craig It doesn't seem to be happening here. Here's what's happened. Pretty much every Intel chip made back to 2011 has a significant security flaw. The industry is putting it in 9.5 out of 10 as far as vulnerabilities go. As far as how bad this is, some Intel chips going back afar as 2007 have these flaws well. Intel has come out and said okay, well, here's what we're going to do, and we're going to release a patch that you can apply for our chips. If you want to be safe, you have to apply this patch. And you have to turn off hyperthreading. Well, Apple, who uses Intel chips in its desktops and their laptops, has said that doing what Intel tells you to do will force you to lose about 40% of the performance on your computer. That is amazing. It's appalling. And Intel is even said Listen, you know if what we'll do, we'll do some patches for the chips going back to 2011. But 2007 forget about it, you guys must buy a new generation of chips if you have a computer with chips made during those five years, that are vulnerable to what's called ZombieLoad, which is the latest nasty piece of hardware problems from Intel. If you have chips made in those five years, Intel isn't going to do anything for you. It is amazing. Now it depends on your circumstance, you know, you may not be fully exposed to this. But this is the second time that there's been a significant flaw discovered in Intel chip security flaw in the last six months. And this one's even worse than the last one. So Intel saying, "Well, is only classifying it as a medium threat." And frankly, if you have a stack of software protecting your computer, and you have a firewall and next generation one that's inspecting everything coming in, including the JavaScript, etc., etc., then, then you might not be very vulnerable. Craig But the people that are going to be really, really, really ticked off about this are people who run cloud companies. If you are running your stuff in the cloud, think of it like a salesforce.com, Amazon or Microsoft Azure, which have massive clouds of computers, they have to turn on all of the patches and fixes which means turn off hyperthreading, applying the microcode fixes, etc. They are instantly losing up to 40% of the capability of their server speeds. It is going to result in a huge and more likely a massive lawsuit, I'm sure. We're also going to see I would put money on this gentleman. By the end of this year, Apple will say Adios to Intel, and for their lower end laptops and maybe even some lower end desktops, they will no longer use Intel. But will switch over to a proprietary chip design that they've been using for their iPhones and iPads for a while. More and more companies will be doing that. It was just this week, Intel's most significant competitor AMD released stats on how they don't have these vulnerabilities, right. There's always something. AMD has some new chips using processes that Intel has not even been able to get close to perfecting yet. So AMD is going to be rising dramatically, Intel's going to be falling sharply. I am not giving any investment advice. Okay. I'm not an investment advisor at all. But I'm talking about their presence in the industry. It is an industry game changer. I think in this case, that whole Intel Inside advertisement they used for so many years is going to bite them. Many people in the IT biz are angry with Intel right now. Ken Talking to Craig Peterson, our tech guru. He joins us now, as he usually does on Wednesdays. And this is a Wednesday ladies, gentlemen, not a Tuesday, it's the second day of the week for us, but it is the third day of the week. Today Craig, when you graduate from college these days, let's say the class of 2019, for instance, and you head off into the job market. And you know, for years you've had kind of certain types of prospects and certain expectations about what you have to do after you leave college and go into the quote "real world" end quote. Things are changing in that respect. Do you think that kids are going to be having to deal with a little bit more of a higher expectation as they are entering the workforce? Craig Yeah, this is an excellent article from the Wall Street Journal, and I put it up as well for some more information. There Wall Street Journal's call this a wake up call for grads. Entry-level jobs that are out there and of course, there are many of them are, is anything but any more. In business, and we could talk about this for a long time, but these jobs have been at the low-end jobs are saying well forget it, we're not going to pay these minimum wages, it's not worth it to us. We'll automate, right. Case in point, being a McDonald's. Many people had their first job at McDonald's. However, now what we're finding that automation and outsourcing, have taken away so many of the lower end jobs. Even when you look at a business like journalism, you used to have people combing other people's newspapers doing clipping, clipping services to get some ideas, beating the streets reading the letters to the editor. Now, that's entirely automated. So graduates now are expected to operate at a much higher level than they ever have had to perform before. And when you're looking at skills, these technical skills required in jobs, the turnover is just so fast and new skills, that your future employers are going to be expecting you to be productive almost on day one. Gone are the days where an employer will say in reality, we don't expect anything out of an employee for the first three months. And then it'll be six months before we get anything truly productive. We have employers out there right now who are looking for people to start making sales calls. For instance, on day one great example, so much. The Wall Street Journal article had quotes in here from IBM, who has 330,000 people who are saying we need people who can adapt. So, if you are graduating from college, and it's anytime soon, you are going to have to adjust and fast. Gone are the days like with my father, who at how old is he? I think he said he was 18 years old, and he started working for the Royal Bank of Canada retiring at 65, from the Royal Bank of Canada. And then he took a contract doing some third-party work for about five years at the Royal Bank of Canada. Now we're going to be switching jobs quickly. We have some industry leaders who are saying the best advice they can give to the younger kids is switch jobs and change careers be very flexible. And that is an entire shift from the generation before mine. We baby boomers even had, on average three to five careers. So things are changing guys in a massive way. Matt We have on Craig Peterson. He joins us every Wednesday at 738 even though we have Memorial Day Monday and so this is Tuesday for us. Great, I can't pronounce the company. I keep messing it up who-who the one in China. How do you pronounce that? It comes up with bad we're not buying things from anymore. Craig Huawei, Huawei, Matt Huawei, sort of a salad age. Ken So, explain to us what that's all about. I mean, are they evil? Ken 10:52 Is it that bad? Craig The question is, are they evil? Some companies claim that they are and others that claim that they're not. You might remember this scare a few months back where servers and Amazon and elsewhere were found to have some hardware on the motherboard that was not part of the schematics designed by major manufacturers like Supermicro. They said to Huawei. We want you to manufacture this product, China, and we want this done this way. Here's a schematics make it and ship it back to us. There have been a lot of scares, some of them turned out to be, pretty much, correct. There was a bit firmware put on the boards, maybe a little hardware that shouldn't have been there. And then we announced a trade ban with Huawei and of course, we're in a big fight with them. The Canadians arrested their CFO just a lot about three or four months ago for the United States, who has a warrant out on their CFO. Craig The problem is that we getting going here is the installation of 5g hardware, made by Huawei. So there was a ban put in place where we could not make a trade with Huawei anymore. Google said, "okay, we're going to honor that, and we will not sell them Android OS anymore." Other hardware manufacturers that were licensing their technology to them, also pulled it back. And the government realized that Huawei is the number two smartphone maker in the world, now that they have passed Apple. So, they are going to be hurting people here in the US. Now, military bases have stopped selling Huawei, all of what, almost two years ago, because of some of the questions around them. Here's where we stand right now, if you have a Huawei handset, the US Commerce Department has given them a 90-day reprieve on all of their hardware patches, and software and licenses. So, for 90 days, they can send updates, patch phones that people have purchased and can get everything they need, but when that window closes, Huawei won't be able to get any more updates from Google Android for security and other things. Huawei is scrambling, maybe to have their little version of Android because it's open source, but it gets very complicated. Intel, Qualcomm Broadcom, they all make chips, they have all pulled out of Huawei. If you have a Huawei phone, you have 90 days to get all your stuff together get patches and maybe to a new operating system. I would recommend if you have Huawei, it might be time to consider moving to a different hardware platform, seriously. As ride with Huawei is not going to be a fun ride. Matt We're talking to Craig Peterson, our tech guru. He joins us at this time every Wednesday. Craig, ordinarily I'd let you go. But I do have one question for you that I would like to get your perspective on if possible. On Drudge right now, the headline is about rare earth materials. This one isn't on your list of stuff. However, I know that you know that rare-earth materials make up most of our circuits and cell phones. There's a lot of elements that are necessary for the production of smartphones, electronics in general, right. And virtually all of them come from China. It is not essential because there are places in America where we could do it. There's a, you know, a couple of great places in California, which would be fantastic if they allowed us to use them and we could and dig into the earth. But we don't do that, and we get them mostly from China. And now China due to the trade of dispute between the United States and China, China is now threatening to slap either tariff or restrict our use rare-earth materials as leverage in the trade war against the United States. Since we're so dependent on it. So, thoughts on that? I mean, you have an entire country, addicted to technology and their smartphones and all these things. And you have a single country, which is a current trade adversary that controlling all of the elements necessary for the production of those things. It seems like a recipe for disaster. Don't you think? Craig It sounds like it. The last numbers, I saw, show that China has been providing something like 97 percent. Matt Yep Craig Yeah of some of these rare earth materials that are used in the manufacturing these electronics. Here's how I've been looking at this because I have been following it. We've got, obviously a bit of a trade war going on. There been a lot of people for years who've been concerned about China, buying up some of these rare-earth plants around the world. We're not that worried in the electronics industry about it, because as you pointed out, we have our own, Matt Really? Craig Well, in the short term, there is going to be a hit, no question. But we have our own. Also, on top of that remember much of it, look at the uranium one deal, that uranium is coming from the United States. And ultimately, if we need to gain access to some of the rare-earth materials that are here in the US or, or are in the ground and mined by some of our partners worldwide, all we have to do is call China and say get lost. We don't care if you own it on paper, we are grabbing control of it. And that's what the talk in the industry is right now. That we will use eminent domain to grab back resources in our country and friendly countries to gain access to it because it is critical for both military and civilian use, like our cell phones and computers and the manufacturing of them. Also, there are alternative ways to do some of this manufacturing. And the big one. Number one is it it's so cheap to buy these rare-earth materials from China, we don't even bother recycling most of our gear. And much of the rarer stuff that we need can be recovered from existing electronics. So, that's another angle that we can use to protect ourselves. Ken Craig Peterson, our tech guru joins us every Wednesday 730. Craig will talk to you next Wednesday. Craig Hey, take care, gentlemen. Matt Bye-bye. All right. Thanks a lot, Craig So, with that, hey, I am going to be making some changes to this podcast. And I hope they're going to be what you guys want to hear. It's going to be a little bit more security focused and a little less of the interviews because I've found that, you know, often I end up talking about the same essential topics on all three different radio stations. So, I'm at the very least, think I'll do cut it up so that we have the best of the three on the individual topics. I haven't decided yet, and we might have me going through each of the issues individually and not even include a whole bunch from these different radio stations. Anyways, as always let me know what you think text me@craigpeterson.com. I've got to throw this out. My heart goes out to everybody in the Midwest and elsewhere. Tornadoes or other natural disasters have hit them. It's been quite a week, two weeks. I blame it on the Canadians. Okay, Canadians listening. Sorry about that. But anyhow, it is the cold air that's a problem. We have so much cold air that's hitting this warm, moist air that's come up from the Gulf from the south. And that is responsible for causing these storms this year, according to the meteorologists and that makes sense, right? That's what you need for a storm, a cold front hitting a warm front. And the fact that we have such cooling going none from some of this cold air coming from the north and hitting this hot and moist Southern air. It's creating a lot of tornadoes this year. So my heart and prayer go out to everybody impacted. Take care of everybody, and we will be back on Saturday. It's 7:38 on a Wednesday, Craig is on with Ken and Matt. Today Craig gave Ken some instructions on how to upgrade his Windows machine. They also talked about the Pokemon region in the brains of the adults who played the game as kids, and how Facebook is a government protected monopoly. Airing date: 05/15/2019 Risks Of Upgrading Windows - Pokemon Changed Our Brains - New Google Privacy Feature Coming Craig Peterson 0:00 Hey, good morning everybody Craig Peterson here. This morning, I got to answer some questions. I helped Ken out with how to upgrade his Windows machine. Gave some, I think the best advice possible when it comes to an upgrade. And it's not just upgrades for Windows but we talked a little bit about Mac, I gave him some hints on what to do, because on his Mac, he's got windows seven, as well as Mac OS, he's got to get to Windows 10. So we talked about that. We talked about a Pokemon region in the brain of adults. Now this is kind of cool, too. And why is Facebook a government protected monopoly? What's that all about? And Google, automatically deleting our data? So all of that and a couple extra things too this morning with Ken and Matt. It was kind of a fun time again today. What a week. Alright, guys, we will be back Saturday with our weekly radio show wrap up. Take care of and I have a big warning too but you'll hear that right near the beginning. Matt Gagnon 1:05 He's back ladies and gentlemen Craig Peterson, our tech guru. He's at this time every Wednesday. And it happens to be Wednesday at this time. So he's back again. Craig, How are you this morning? Craig 1:18 I'm doing great. How are you guys? Ken Altshuler 1:19 You know, the other day I was going to email you because I had a question. I forgot what it was. But another question has come up since then you have recommended everybody should upgrade to Windows 10. Correct? Craig 1:30 At the very least Yes. And there's a huge, by the way, a huge I mean, how does President Trump pronounce it? There's a huge which is a new pronunciation, security vulnerability on every Intel processor made since 2011. I mean, we haven't had anything this bad in like for ever. So those people that are on my email list and my text list are going to get a link today with more information. But this came out yesterday. And all of the major guys Microsoft and Apple have already issued patches are there they're working on they've got them done. They should be out soon. But this is we've never seen anything this bad before. Thanks Intel. But of course your iPhones are fine. And other Samsung Galaxies and anything that's not using an Intel chip is ok. But this is like the hugest security problem we have seen I think maybe in a decade or two so anyway. Ken 2:43 So when I upgrade to Windows 10. And is it something I can do or do I need somebody who knows something about computers like Matt could do it for me? Craig 2:50 Well, if you can't handle... Matt 2:53 He says this in the wake by the way of me having to clean up his computer last Friday. Ken 2:56 Evidently I had asked Jeeves on it. I don't know how I put it on and they really made fun of me and and I was ashamed. They shamed me. Matt 3:06 He was shamed. Ken 3:08 So I used to think I was somewhat tech savvy for an old man. But is it something I do myself? Craig 3:15 I knew you had that it was coming. I knew that you had that sound bite. Matt 3:19 I got it on ready all the time. Craig 3:21 Well, if you can't handle tabs on your browser, I think there's a little bit of a clue there. But here's the here's the bottom line, here's the recommendation. If you aren't going to upgrade to Windows 10. And this is true, particularly with Windows, but really kind of any operating system. Here's what I do, I don't upgrade, what I do is I make sure I have two backups of my computer. I do a virgin install, I do completely wipe the computer, reformat the hard disk, and particularly with Windows. And then I get it installed, I get it all patched up up to date. And then I get the newest versions of the software that I had been running. And then I restore my files from backup. I don't restore the whole backup. Ken 4:15 This is not going to happen. For me to do that is impossible. Just so you know. Craig 4:24 So you need help then. We knew that. You need help with your computer then Ken. And yes, absolutely. And here's why I do that. And here's why I recommend people that have the ability to do it, do it. There are, and this is kind of a technical term, but there are turds all over your computer. Okay. The Ask Jeeves. Ken 4:48 Matt fixed that for me. Matt 4:49 I did. I got rid of it. Craig 4:50 Yeah. Yeah, he got rid of it. And all these plugins remember when people were installing these bars on their browsers, right? Probably Ask Jeeves, yeah, don't do that people including today. But there's just all of these remnants from over the years that are there things are partially configured, the poorly configured. Your Windows machine crash right in the middle of updating the registry, all kinds of things happen there's a power failure, which never happens in Maine. There's a power failure when you're doing something and that messed up stuff just enough so the computer works but some things get weird and get slow, etc, etc. So that's why I recommend you just do a from scratch install, and then restore just your files. Now Apple is a little bit different. Apple can still have some of these types of problems. Apple doesn't use a registry, it has a much better system. But like even with that, there are different types of problems with your computer. So when you do an upgrade on the apple, it takes some liberties and cleans things up on your behalf. But every two or three or four major releases of Apple operating system, I advise people to make sure you've got at least one good time machine backup, which is the built in backup software with Apple. And with Apple, you can have two or more copies of your backups. So have two USB drives, plug them in, put them both on time machine, leave it alone for flow, you can use the computer but leave the backup alone for a few days. It'll backup everything. You'll have two copies, and then do a from scratch install. And then with a time machine backup, you can just restore the user account information. So all of your files and things and and then just reload your programs to stuff. So it's really good. It's like a then we take it to your car into the dealer and get an oil change. You get your transmission fluid changed, the coolant changed, everything changed. It's a good idea to do that with your computers and the way you do it is to good backups and then that thing out and start from scratch. Matt 7:11 Craig Peterson tech guru joins us Wednesdays at this time to go over what's happening in the world of technology. Craig I'm too curious to not ask about this one. The Pokemon thing. I mean, I so there's some people who played as kids have some sort of brain scan, the brain scan is revealed that there's a region their brain that essentially tells you that they played this game like explain this thing. Craig 7:34 Yeah. Yeah. Matt 7:35 And why is that? Like what happened? Craig 7:36 Pokemon. Well, here's what happened. This is just amazing. This is specifically that now any Pokemon gaming when you were young, now, you know, you had to do a fair amount of it, right? But any Pokemon gaming when you were younger, throws this little switch in your brain. But they found that particularly people who played Pokemon on Game Boys from the 1990s, are apparently kind of very susceptible for that. It's kind of cool, because here's what happened. They did an experiment, they did a brain study with some of these people who played Pokemon when they were kids. And they wanted to know, did it affect their brains? And you know how many years we've been talking about stuff like this right? Violent video games. Does that make you violent as an adult and stuff? Right. And I know, Matt, you've been saying no, it doesn't, right? Matt 8:35 No, it does not. Craig 8:36 Yeah, exactly. So I thought. So they scan the participants brains. These were all self selected, and everything. You know how that goes. So this wasn't like the best sort of study in the world, showing them images of all 150 original Pokemon. And they were showing them eight at a time and they mixed in other images, like animals faces, cars, words, hallways, other cartoons. And what they found in experienced players was a specific region of the brain responded more to Pokemon than to any other images. Absolutely amazing. This was the, you know, the occipital region, which is the rear back of the brain here. It's the occipital temporal sulcus. I think it is. S-U-L-C-U-S. Some will know how to pronounce that. But it was absolutely amazing. And novices did not have this region respond in any different way to anything. So basically, Pokemon programmed your brain to selectively notice Pokemons more than anything else as part of a theory called extra sensory bias. And it suggests the size of the images and the types we're looking at. And even in your peripheral vision, by the way, will make your brain respond. So fascinating. You know, what, what does that tell us? I don't know. Matt 10:07 You got to catch them all. That's what it tells you. Craig 10:10 Yeah. Exactly. So you've been programmed Matt, and you just don't realize it. Matt 2:50 I'd like to make clear with the audience that I did not actually play that game growing up, but I am familiar with it. Ken 10:20 We are talking to Craig Peterson, our tech guru joins us Wednesdays at 7:38. Is Facebook a monopoly Mr. Peterson? Matt 10:27 What does that have to do with milkshakes? I guess I didn't follow that. Craig 10:32 Wow, man, we could go on for hours. But here's the bottom line, not just milkshakes, Matt, but hamburgers. And there's a great example. This is an article that I have up on my website from Amgreatness. And Ray Kroc. Of course, you might remember the story of the start of McDonald's, right? A couple of brothers had a hamburger stand. And it was amazing. And so Ray Kroc visited them trying to sell milkshake mixer, and was wondering why they needed four up milkshake mixer for such a small stand. The story evolved into McDonald's and, and he took what they had done and license issues everything else in the legal side. So the point here is that with the way the patent laws are today, they go far beyond what most people think the Constitution requires. They now have patent laws that allow you to patent processes, business processes, for instance. And it's gotten to the point where companies like Facebook, have patents on things that were obvious next steps, that even the patent law says aren't supposed to be issued. But the patent office is so overrun their patent issuing patents for things that should never been patented. And so now you have companies like, like Facebook out there, and Microsoft, who have patents on things that may be shouldn't have been issued, I don't think most of them should have been issued. So they can have and they don't have any competition. You know, we have people being that deep platform, we have conservative voices saying, Hey, listen, we're, we're not able to make any money anymore, because YouTube has cut us off, Facebook has cut us off, etc, etc. We should have five different alternatives out there for people to go to if Facebook or YouTube or someone else does something that kicks them off. And they say, Well, fine, I'm going to like conservative Facebook called XYZ book or whatever it might be. But we don't. And a lot of the reason for that is the state of the patent laws. And I personally have said for a very long time, we've got to change them. With technology moving the way it is, we are hindering our progress in the technology world in a huge way, by allowing these corporations, big ones and small ones, to take an obvious idea patented, and then use the federal government to be there and for sure, for what's now effectively a protected monopoly. Matt 13:08 We are talking to Craig Peterson, our tech guru who joins us at this time every Wednesday to go over what's happening in the world of technology. I guess the last question for us in the last couple minutes we have here Craig I'd love to ask you about about Google and deleting our data. This obviously sort of goes into privacy questions and everything we've been talking about recently in the online space. Will they be deleting my data? What do I need to know about this? Craig 13:34 Yeah, you can manually go in right now and get a bunch of your data deleted manually. There's some simple on off controls for location, history, web app activity. But you have to go into your Google account constantly to delete it and ask for it to be deleted. So Google has a new rollout coming within a month or so that is called auto delete controls. So you will be able to go in and I'll let you guys know when this happens, right. So you can go and turn it on. But you'll be able to go in and say, I want to place a limit. And you'll have the amount of time Google you keep my history, my web, my app activity, my location, I want to put a limit on that. And you will get to choose between three months and 18 months, and the data will be automatically deleted on a rolling basis. So this is really good news. It comes in the wake of Facebook staring down at $2 billion fine, the largest in history, I think Google is kind of getting the impression that maybe we don't want all of our data tracked. So this is a good thing. I'll let you a little more when it happens. I'm also going to be putting info up on the top of my homepage today about this Intel vulnerability. It is huge. It's the worst ever. Update update update people. Bottom line. Ken 15:01 Craig Peterson, tech guru joins us every Wednesday at 7:38. This not being an exception. Thank you very much. And I will let you know how my upgrade of Windows 10 by myself does next week. Craig 15:12 So you're upgrading from XP. What are you doing? Ken 15:15 No. Windows 7 because I have a Mac it's on my VM Fusion side of my Mac. Craig 15:21 Okay, so a little hint here, before you do this, because you're using Fusion, VMware Fusion, you can take a snapshot of your Windows machine before you upgrade it. Ken 15:35 How do I do that? Craig 15:36 Okay, you go into your fusion, and you click on the machine because you got a virtual machine, a Windows 7 machine, and then it has snapshot up in the menu at the top. And just go to snapshot and say take snapshot. And it'll it'll it'll completely preserve absolutely everything in your Windows machine. And then you can go ahead and do the upgrade and everything goes. Ken 15:58 Nice. I'm going to do that right you now. Thank you. Craig 16:01 You can roll back. Ken 16:02 All right. Thank you so much. There you go. Matt 16:02 All right, ladies and gentlemen, that is Craig Peterson. American hero and friend of the show. Joins us every Wednesday at this time to go over the world of technology. Today Craig and Roe discuss and demystify some stereotypes about mindfulness. First of all what is it? Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present. When we are mindful, we carefully observe our thoughts and feelings without judging them as good or bad. In counseling mindfulness is buzzword that many of us practitioners use, but lets face it... it feels pretty weird to do sometimes and everyone seems to have a point on how to do it correctly. Take a listen as we try to normalize and offer helps takes on how to utilize mindfulness effectively. -STNW

Dr Craig Keener tells the story of his wife to be. He and his wife met in seminary, but he confesses he was a bit slow on the uptake... Medine waited years for the love of her life. During that time, God encouraged her not to give up through prophetic words from three different people: "You'll marry a white man with a large ministry" they said. At the time, none of them knew the details of her situation. Today Craig and Medine are a happily married couple who can testify to the power of God's word in bringing them together. But not all stories end this way. Although there are plenty of miraculous stories of God speaking, there are also plenty of not-so-great stories too... A person hears God speaking about marriage and filters it through their own emotions. God speaks randomly through Scripture verses, but it distorts the original meaning of the text. How do we avoid the mistakes and pitfalls of hearing God’s voice and instead, position ourselves to experience the same kind of miracles we see in the New Testament? Meet Craig Keener In this episode, we talk to Dr. Craig Keener. Craig is a professor of New Testament at Asbury Theological Seminary. He is an incredible academic and teacher and is known worldwide for his work as a New Testament scholar. His award-winning commentary on the New Testament has sold over half a million copies. In addition, he’s authored another twenty books - works on hermeneutics, miracles, the historical Jesus, commentaries on Acts and Romans, Corinthians, the Gospel of John, five of which have won awards in Christianity Today. He has has taught in various countries at pastors and scholarly events as well as a diverse range of theological institutions. Craig is not only a careful and brilliant academic, but he "walks the talk" with many God conversations of his own to share. Tania met Craig and his beautiful wife Medine at the Society for Pentecostal Studies Annual conference in Tennessee USA, where they talked about marriage, miracles and mistakes hearing God’s voice. This man brings a wealth of wisdom, sensitivity and depth to our topic. Enjoy!
Today Craig spoke with Ken and Matt on the WGAN Morning News about a number of subjects including following up on their discussion of dogs and Craig told them about his new rescue dog, a Great Dane named Velma. Then they got into the Technology and Ken mentioned he was going to be traveling soon and wanted to know how he could protect his data while traveling. Then Matt asked about the new eye-scanning technology that is being tested now that can identify if you are lying. Bottom line it still relies on your physical response and can still be manipulated by the biases of the tester. So there's a litter he's been looking at and trying to figure out which dog that his kids want. And he and his wife one can, what name are they going to have it? So they were talking about that before I got on that the air this morning. So I had the guide get on and straighten them out. Oh, right. Isn't that always the case, though, somehow. And we talked about a couple of topics. We talked a little bit about putting your data at risk when you travel. There's a great article I have up on my website, you probably want to check out. But we talked a little bit about it. And a little bit about the VPN situation. And Matt had a quick question about that eye-scanning a lie detector as well. We've got our new information data starting to come out we're sending out this week, we're almost done. Wow, talking about a labor of love. Almost done with putting together this whole new special report system for you. You guys are going to love it. And hopefully that's going to happen this week. We've got it all planned out. And we've been working on it every day for the last week or so. Because it's not just this one special report on how to lock down your credit. But we're talking about a whole series of them. We've got 50 of them in the pipeline right now. So we're trying to make this whole system work with a special founding member of my insider portal, which is going to be absolutely free for this basic membership forever. But it's a beta thing. We're going to try a few things out. This is going to be fun, I think. And we've already got a couple of people who are in the alpha test already. So you know, kudos to you know who you are. And those people will be in beta that respond for this latest special report on how to lock down your credit for free and keep an eye out for that. That should be out this week. Again, if you're not on my email list, you already know how just rewind http://CraigPeterson.com/subscribe, right? We got all of that here today. So off we go with Ken and Matt. And we'll be back at this weekend, if not before maybe with a couple more videos. So here we go. Unknown 4:01 And we are back again. It's time for Craig Peterson, our tech guru to join us he does so at 738 every Wednesday. This Wednesday being no exception Unknown 4:10 during our you know, except to that 738 Unknown 4:13 Good Mornings whether we got a new puppy to well actually sees three and a half years old. This is our fourth rescue great game and she's just amazing. And her name is Velma. How's that for great? Velma? Unknown 4:29 Velma? The Great Danes are really Unknown 4:31 big. Unknown 4:34 I mean, Unknown 4:35 like I told the girls they need to knit her an orange turtleneck sweater. Stay warm Unknown 4:41 Velma Unknown 4:43 assume you named after the Scooby Doo character Unknown 4:47 name. She came with Unknown 4:48 and or or or you're great on from 1840 Unknown 4:59 Well, good for you. Unknown 5:03 Well, you know Unknown 5:05 the dog named Blanche Unknown 5:08 doors Well, I wasn't gonna neighbor Hillary right. Unknown 5:14 pet stores in California Petros in California, they cannot sell brand new dogs. Is it where they have to shell rescues now? California course. Of course. That's the way things work Unknown 5:26 for Unknown 5:28 low on Yes. Unknown 5:31 First Lady. Unknown 5:33 Yeah, like long names my most of my dogs been named after like different guns and other manufacturers of different things over to Unknown 5:44 guns like Beretta. Unknown 5:51 Yeah, exactly. And Winchester and you know that's that sort of thing that's what we've had German shepherds and as I said, Our fourth grade Unknown 6:00 he thought about a Bischon or Boston Terrier cute dog Unknown 6:06 or something a little you know I like the big dog that just you know Unknown 6:10 you know what comes out a big dog Unknown 6:12 what outside Unknown 6:14 a happy dog Unknown 6:16 no, I Unknown 6:16 know but you'll still step in it that's all I gotta say. Unknown 6:19 For the chickens take care of that though they break it all off and you know it's also stepped on it right away but yeah they do and they eat more, of course, then Unknown 6:28 whoever thought we'd be talking about dog poop chickens you go to a bag you go to a bag of dog food a week you Unknown 6:36 know the chickens do keep away the Unknown 6:39 the text Unknown 6:41 they do actually not as good as getting him but you know on on that point to can Unknown 6:47 about the back Are you from the 1800s what Unknown 6:53 you got chickens Unknown 6:59 we found is he's a technologist Unknown 7:05 that why I drive a 1980 Mercedes diesel right no electronics so Unknown 7:11 probably hear that thing coming from about six miles away Unknown 7:13 and see it too about the dog food Ken is that we found a what's called a higher quality dog food, I guess I was buying it at the local Walmart or whatever, you know. And we found this other stuff that a dog food store we brought the dog in and they had a food tasting for Velma. And they had like eight different feeds of foods out there for her I'm used to using the word "feed" for the chickens. So I this feed and she got to try the different the different foods and which one that she liked. And then they had this treat tree and she found a treat you really like and so we said okay, well we'll track it. It's like a pound for pound it's like eight times as much as pie as the big box. Right and but she only eats about an eight says much of it. So worth something. We felt the same price and she looks so much better. And she has more energy. Unknown 8:10 How about some of your chickens are getting Unknown 8:13 slowly he actually got into some chicken because we had we had you know dead ones. We had some and she found the bones in the trash and stuff and she pulled them out and started eating them. But um. Yeah, but you got to be careful chicken bones with dogs. Unknown 8:31 Yes, you do. Unknown 8:32 Yes you do Unknown 8:35 with what Danes turkey gives them because one of our Danes got into the turkey carcass after Thanksgiving and bloody diarrhea not a good thing to talk about eating breakfast Let's move on. And that's animal Unknown 8:49 answers Unknown 8:52 animal expertise talking about getting developers Unknown 9:00 ology I'm going to be traveling Yeah if I don't catch pneumonia from my wife, or cold from Matt, and a week and a half. So what should I do to prevent the risk of my data? Or data, Unknown 9:14 data? Or data? Yeah, when you're traveling, etc. I had a couple of questions from like, you guys know, I have a weekend radio show that I of course podcast as well that you can find on my website. But Unknown 9:30 oh, yeah, there you go. Slash iTunes, if you want the past, but I know you guys are also podcasting my segments here. Although people who are listening for the tech today might be slightly disappointed. But the the the whole thing about traveling and data and the show on Saturday was about VPN and trying to keep your data safe the VPN. And of course, we've talked before about how Facebook kind of fool people into thinking using their VPN would make them safe. So I got a great article up on there about traveling and what you have to be careful for because everybody tries to hop on to Wi-Fi. Now, we don't do it with our phones, like we used to. Nowadays, we're doing it with our laptops, because our phones have great data plans, right? Almost everybody. And we all know that come next year, 2020 data is going to get even better. But we've seen breaches in the hotel chains. We know about breaches that have been happening at airports, even breaches of airplanes systems while they are in flight, and where people took them over the Wi-Fi that's onboard the planes. And we're using that to hack into people on the plane who are using the Wi-Fi. Now the good news is the planes main systems used for the flight controls are a different system than they're using for the Wi-Fi. So that's very, very good. But according to a new Pew Center research poll security poll that was done, in the study, they found that even though there's been all these encrypted networks and websites using encryption, and that's made the internet safer. In general, there's just no such thing as being too careful. So be careful with your credit cards. Use those little anti-scanning wallets that you can get. So the RF IDs can't be scanned, use devices built-in safeguards, the fingerprints of some print on your phone, whether it's a Samsung, or an apple, that some print reader does tend to be a lot safer, particularly on Samsung than the new facial recognition system. So use the thumbprint on it's available in no one to use 12 digit passcode pin, like how to make sure your devices are encrypted, that standard with Apple. And it's absolutely available for pretty much every other manufacturer out there, including the Android just turn that stuff on, don't connect to public Wi-Fi, if you can avoid it, connect to your cell phone. And your cell phone probably has data sharing on it. So you can tell it from your cell phone, etc. etc. You know, your rental cars, your Bluetooth, when you connect to that rental car, that car will usually upload your contact list and things and you don't want that for the next guy to come around and use or the people who are taking care of the cars to steal it. Because it's going to have your home address in there. It's going to have all kinds of stuff. And you got to be careful with that too. So either doesn't connect to the Bluetooth in your car or make sure you delete it. When you leave your car at the airport. delete your phone. First of all, your data goes away. Just all kinds of great tips. And again, they are up there on the website Unknown 12:43 talking to Craig Peterson, our animal answer man, who's here occasionally giving us an update about technology. Craig, am I going to have trouble lying to people in the future? Oh, this is this is a concern for me. Unknown 12:56 Yeah, Unknown 12:57 well, if you are a politician, you might want to really be careful, okay, because there's this new Blade Runner technology. And what's really kind of interesting about this from my standpoint to is Mark Cuban's, the guy that founded this company back in 2014, it's called the ID tag and it's kind of like a polygraph for the I have words of it, but it's about 1510 15% Unknown 13:27 more accurate according to the manufacturer, it's already in use 500 customers 40 countries but what it does is it looks at your eyes and watches for the response of your pupils in your eye as you are being interviewed by someone and the whole idea is if you lie your eyes going to react in a certain way It only takes about 30 minutes as opposed to a couple of hours for a normal polygraph. And I've got to say both cases polygraph and this new eye lie detector is not 100% the people who are administering the test are going to introduce their own personal biases on what's going on. But you know, give a little bit of time because ultimately you're going to see something like this at us by our friends, TSA, it's already been used by some of the embassies out there and who knows, we'll see just how accurate it really is. But it's about $25,000 to buy one of these and that makes it a lot cheaper than some of the polygraph equipment that's out there and might be good for just basic research of crimes and potential criminals Unknown 14:47 are joining us every Wednesday at 730. And if you do have any questions about Great Danes or pets, feel free to go to his website. Craig Peterson, the dog whisperer. com just click that for joining us. We'll talk to you next week. Unknown 15:04 Take care guys. Thanks. All right. Unknown 15:07 I would never have a great day. What do you say, a huge giant, Unknown 15:15 I could say is leave a big Ken. Alright, everybody. Today Craig spoke with Ken and Matt on the WGAN Morning News about some subjects including following up on their discussion of dogs and Craig told them about his new rescue dog, a Great Dane named Velma. Then they got into the Technology, and Ken mentioned he was going to be traveling soon and wanted to know how he could protect his data while traveling. Then Matt asked about the new eye-scanning technology that is being tested now that can identify if you are lying. Bottom line it still relies on your physical response and can even be manipulated by the biases of the tester. Craig says if you answer yes, then its time to be brutally honest with yourself even seek help as he did despite his amazing earlier business life. With a life of turning points or pivot points, all have been part of his valuable learning journey. From Bank officer, restauranter and business owner, Head of Foreign Exchange and Commodity Trading for a large bank, to an Executive in large Global firm, to now being a happy Business Coach in Perth, Australia As with many in the corporate world they become aware of not being happy, feeling overworked and stressed and no longer fulfilled. These feelings are indicators it’s time to be honest with yourself which Craig did and strongly urges others to do. Yes it’s time to leave, but then what? This often means starting your own small new business with no client base and no staff, which can become a psychological fitness test requiring resilience, research and satisfaction with small gains at first. But it’s worth it, says Craig providing a profound observation along with many other useful positive words and advice throughout this podcast. Craig asks if you feel you’re on a merry go round going nowhere; if you don’t care about yourself and your future; if you’re not moving forward, then take time, review what’s going on and guess what says Craig, join the Club others are in and have been there too. He answers these questions and many more during his engaging conversation. Today Craig helps people create better business outcomes, so they can enjoy life. Of himself he says, “before I had a good job, with lots of pressure and… now I have a life, doing what I love!” What better way to live! Today Craig tells us why asking God questions can create a stronger relationship with Him, and how we can endure challenges without losing our faith. Jack and Marsha Countryman have been married for 52 years, and have worked side by side each day of their marriage. They started their publishing company, J. Countryman, at their kitchen table almost forty years ago. Today they describe how they’ve been able to use their talents to connect millions of people to the promises of God, how they’ve been able to keep their marriage strong after five decades, and why they’ve decided to keep going to work every day, even in their later years.

We are going to be talking about this FBI home routers small business router vulnerability. We had some more information that went out this week hopefully you got it. We'll be glad to send it to you if you tell me what the router is you have if you have any questions about it let me know. : [00:00:24] Eight, Five, Five, Three, Eight, Five, Fifty-five, fifty-three. : [00:00:34] We'll be talking a little bit more about that today. A massive Chrysler recall. Do not use your cruise control. We'll be talking about social media. It's a pink collar job now, really kind of interesting. And I got to talk about something that I've been doing for a little while here now and it has just dramatically improved my health. And you know what. It hasn't cost me one thim dime. One thin dime. Cryptocurrency addiction, apparently now it is a disease. We'll be talking about that and 5G wireless service. You know I just switched my carriers for my business cell phones and we moved all of them over. I was looking at the different offerings for the different carriers so we'll be talking about 5G what is it. When will it be here. And why are there health concerns all of that and more stick around. Here we go. : [00:01:35] On the front lines and ahead of the trends in business and consumer technology speaking with the top minds and creators behind the products and ideas that help to drive our everyday lives. : [00:01:45] Dean Kamen is joining us now. He's the inventor of the Segway and the founder of us first Steve Forbes I appreciate what you do with Forbes magazine for all these years it's one of my first go to places or talk right now with the guys and gals behind Siri. We're joined right now by the director of Kindle technology. We're joined right now by the CEO of E-bates Kevin Johnson on air for more than 15 years. : [00:02:10] Over 20 million podcasts downloads. This is tech talk with Craig Peterson : [00:02:20] Right here we go it has been a very very busy week for us as you can imagine here at my company putting all of the stuff together we have been responding to everyone who sent us a text about their home and small business wireless routers. We have had a lot of questions we've answered them. We have sent out some special invitations to people who asked to put them into our new membership site. We’ve got an insider thing. I tried to do in fact I did on Facebook and we've had few hundred people sign up but this thing with Facebook did not work for this audience. You probably know I have a lot of clients and we have our training site and it's a membership site and we've put together something that that has all of my special reports. And as we go forward we'll be putting more of them in. So for those of you that ask that texted me we checked with you. We sent you and hopefully by now you have your Log-ins to my insider site and that insider site log in you're going to get all of the information here about the small home small business routers. The problems that the FBI is warning about right now. We have a few special reports and therefore you going into details about how to do passwords and a few others about hackers and what they're doing and what the state of the art day has if you will in the whole hacking world. : [00:03:55] So things to look out for. So you should have gotten your Log-ins to that site. It's a special password and it's your password it's your account. And we'll be keeping you up to date. We're definitely going to keep doing this. We had issues with Facebook and part of the reason we had the Facebook issues was a lot of us myself included just don't trust Facebook. Right. So, what are you going to do? In our case, we said well forget about it. We shut down that Facebook group. And now we've got our insider site where we're using that to distribute all of our special reports and other things that you need to know. So again, if you have questions you got to reach out to me and you frankly you should have some questions because there is a major hack I guess is the best way to put it going on right now and it appears to be Russia that's doing this. They have some software called VPNFilter. Now this is a really interesting type of attack because what they're doing is they are going after these low-end routers so the types of devices that you would get at the local store you know whether it's staples or Wal-Mart or even a lot of them that you might buy online at Amazon but made by companies like Micro-tik, Linksys, Netgear, and T.P-link. : [00:05:25] Right. Who hasn't bought equipment from them over the years, as well as some of these network attached storage devices. And they are crazy vulnerable. So, what these guys from Russia have been doing is they've been using some hacks to get into your router. They change the software on your router and then they use another stage of the attack to take all of your traffic and send it all off to Russia. So, think about that all of your traffic their filter. : [00:05:59] They're looking for bank account information, they're looking for information that's going to help them steal your money credit card information, just kind of everything and anything. This is huge because according to the FBI we've got more than half a million networks that have been exposed to this right now that are hacked. OK. So again, if you contacted me you've got all the information. So just go through it. I list the model numbers that are known to be bad. But the bottom line is for now anyways just reset that route or you're going to have to power recycle it at least once a week. And there's other things you should do too. I'm not going to bore you with those here on the air. But there's other things you should do. All of that is there on the membership site. We go into some good detail on it and you can always ask questions. You know we're all we're here to help right. That's what I do. That's what my team helps to do. And you might want to do a factory reset on some of these devices and everything. : [00:07:07] But if you still have a question you can reach out to me Eight, Five, Five, Three, Eight, Five, Fifty-five, fifty-three. : [00:07:16] That's my text number. I, my wife and a couple of people my team do monitor as well so we can get back to you with any questions. Now if you are a small business really upgrade OK get rid of this junk. It's time to move on. We've got such a major, major, problem and it's continual right it seems like every week there's a new hack and I'm really happy to say that my clients haven't been hacked in years and years and years and decades, in fact, that's because I'm using the right stuff at the right time the right way OK. So, there are ways to keep the bad guys out. You know they're like a railroad train they're just plowing through everything we've got to derail them. And for that too there is there's more information in the membership site that I gave some free accounts out to this week. But if you need help you can apply and you know we're letting people in that really need help that that target really can't do this themselves. : [00:08:28] So anyhow Eight, Five, Five, Three, Eight, Five, Fifty-five, fifty-three. : [00:08:33] Can you believe tech talk is number one in the market with this guy as host. Number one rating based on direct mail polls. There was another September 1995. Not all of those cards have been returned. : [00:08:46] I got to think Dan again for that, it is so cool he did that for me a decade ago. I guess I should probably update some stuff but you know I spend too much time on other things anyhow. Let's move on to the next article and this has to do with software. In fact, it's specifically some software known as firmware and it's specific to Fiat Chrysler. : [00:09:13] They sent out a warning about a week ago telling people that if you have one of these about five million Jeeps, Dodges, Chryslers, or Rams Do not use your cruise control. And remember that's how we started out today is a terrible way to start the show. Fiat Chrysler is saying that this condition where the cruise control will not release in other words you're driving down the road. : [00:09:44] You got it set for 65 miles an hour because that's a speed limit and you need to stop. It will not release the cruise control you can tap the brake which would normally release it. That won't stop your cruise control. You can go ahead and hit the button to cancel cruise control. Well that will not stop your cruise control. And they're saying that this condition can occur if the cruise control accelerates at the same time there's a short in the system. Now the good news is if you forget to not use your cruise control on your Kreisler if you forget that the brakes are designed to be strong enough to stop the vehicle even if the engine is engaged in the cruise control is on. So the trick here is to step on the brakes as hard as you can. And then once you get the car down to basically stopped put it in park and putting it in park will disengage the cruise control. Now you don't want to put your car in park when you're traveling down the highway that will be bad. But it is a reasonable thing here to do this push on those brakes. Give it your all get that car stop. Put it in park and then you'll be OK. Of course, you can also kill the engine once you're in parked but that cruise control button will not stop the cruise control tapping the brakes will not stop the cruise control either. Now they found this problem when they were testing : [00:11:20] The vehicles computer networks. Now this is really interesting, and this is where it becomes a technology problem. The Cars today have their own networks so using something called a can box and basically everything in the car is all tied together and that has created a number of scenarios that frankly I would consider to be a nightmare. : [00:11:46] Now there was a complaint filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration a guy in Kansas said that a 2017 Dodge Journey SUV rental vehicle was going down the road about 70 miles an hour with cruise control on when the windshield wipers came on by themselves and the throttle lock up. Now the owner was not identified in the complaint database, but they said that the cruise control button would not disengage by tapping the brakes or turning off the button and the driver was able to slam on the brakes and get the SUV to the side of the road. It was still running at an engine speed to support the 70 miles an hour and fighting the brakes. : [00:12:30] Engine stop button. By the way would not work as a member nowadays with the new ones. You're not turning the key and pulling it out of the ignition. In fact, I had to send a note off to my mom because of some problems that have been reported with Honda's that if you don't turn off the engine and if that key fob that you have is close enough to the car that you're just going to keep running and in some cases it doesn't even have to be close to the car depending on the manufacturer and model. And so people are dying and they're dying because of carbon monoxide in the home and the engines running the cars so quiet they don't hear the car they don't realize that an elderly person who's used to turning off the ignition. Right. It's not going to work. So this complaint said that the driver tried to kill the engine and that button did not work. Engine shift or excuse me stop on. Isn't that crazy. So, he put it into a park and the brakes smoked significantly according to the report. So, there's 15 Jeep Dodge Chrysler and ram models from six model years with gasoline engines automatic transmission and models in Canada Mexico and other countries are also affected. But there are you know Chrysler trying to figure out which ones of which models the toll roads the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urged drivers not to use cruise control on your feet at Chrysler until repairs are made or they know exactly which model are affected and they've got a pretty good idea right now. And you'll find this article up on my Web site. If you want to find out a little bit more about that case now we're going to move into pink collar jobs. I found this article really interesting. : [00:14:30] Now here's what's happening. You know there's a lot of jobs that are mostly men right is dominated by men and those jobs tend to be more dangerous jobs more physical jobs. And you know I get that right does not make sense to you. It certainly makes sense to me. : [00:14:47] So what should you do if you are looking for a job and you're out there or you want to hire someone. It's interesting because this article came from a hot little potato is talking about this and saying that companies hiring for technical positions often slip language into the job postings that appeal to men. They'll say things like looking for ninjas for people who are trying or are willing to obliterate the competition that are capable of dominating. Right. So those words are all kind of male words. Right. And they are going to attract more men than women. But it's interesting to note that there is one job in the digital economy that is falling squarely and predominantly to women. And this is a position that's often overlooked but it draws on marketing and editorial skills right. The ability to write. And guess what that means. That means the social media. Right. That kind of all fits together. And women tend to be better communicators than men and they seem to be gravitating toward this type of a job. : [00:15:58] So it's kind of interesting because looking at the job postings you'll discover the same bias in the language in reverse this these job descriptions here for this job have a bias towards women. So, here's an example. : [00:16:20] Social Media Managers are quote “The behind the scenes screens labor involved in Media and Technology is central to propelling our digital economy forward.” Isn't that interesting. Between 70-80 percent. This is according to Brooke Duffy's she the assistant professor of communications at Cornell. Between 70 and 80 percent of social media, workers self-identify as women on the salary compilation site pay scale and the careers been referred to as the pink ghetto. I don't get the ghetto part because it certainly does pay well and usually you don't get ghettos as paying well. But anyway. Any rate. An interesting article published by Duffy and University of Oxford and in new media and society it kind of goes on and on. They analyzed all these job postings etc. payscale the average paper social media specialist is 41 grand for staff jobs and there, of course, are a lot of contract jobs out there doing this sort of work. It's really quite cool frankly when you get right down to it. I like it. : [00:17:29] Bottom line is kind of nice to see the jobs out there for women that they're enjoying they're appreciating and they're making some decent money at. And it's something that you can do at home. Whether you're a man or woman I don't know if you've checked out some of the sites I hire people from a few different places online but the worker is one of course. Fiverr is a very popular site one I've used before where you can be hired to write one press release for instance and take as much work as you want to so have a look at that as well. That's called the gig economy and women have been doing very well in that gig economy out there. OK let's talk a little bit about. This is the need because wireless is going to get a whole lot faster. In fact, many people may just end up getting rid of their Wi-Fi networks. I would not recommend that for businesses in general but for homes. My goodness. The new 5G wireless that is starting to roll out already can be up to 100 times faster than your current data speeds on your LTE device which is typically called 4G your 4G devices that are out there now. What's concerning about this too many many people is that the wireless community you know all of these wireless vendors horizon and Sprint and T-Mobile etc. have been in a bit of a race to roll out this 5G service and we're not sure about you know the pros and cons of it. I remember I was the keynote speaker at an annual meeting for a bank here recently and in talking with them. : [00:19:19] Afterwards a lady came up and said So, what do you think about some of the problems that are being caused by the wireless networks in our homes and I said you know I'm I have an advanced class amateur radio license I just had to renew that by the way. It's good for 10 years. But anyways haven't the vans cost him license and I know of a lot of studies that have been done about this type of radiation. Now people get concerned right. Hold on. Yes it is radiation. You are getting radiation from your cell phone but it is not ionizing radiation is not the type of radiation you get from a nuclear fuel source that can kill you. Right. This does not destroy your cells. Now some people are concerned because of the resonant frequency of water two point four gigahertz. Right. All of that sort of stuff I get it I get it. But I was talking to her and I said hey you know bottom line in the ham community we've been studying this for what 100 years now and there is a slight increase in cancer amongst Ham’s but it's also very hard. To normalize for the Ham’s that actually make things they make their own transmitters. They are smoldering. They are at boards right. So, they're exposed to all kinds of harsh chemicals. Now how do you normalize for that. I don't know. But basically, they're saying yeah there is no direct correlation between our cell phones and various types of cancers. And then she went on to tell me how she had some form of brain cancer and they were attributed to her using her cell phone a lot. : [00:21:06] You know it may be that case might be true. Typically, that's not a problem but when we're talking about the 5G wireless one of the major differences between 5G and the 4G LTE we're using today is that 5G technology needs more transmitter sites. So they've got all of these transmitter sites now in the cities. You've got to think about what they're going to have to do. Basically, they're going to have to install new antennas roughly equal to the total number of cell towers built over the past 30 years. So, in order to support 5G which requires you to be very, very, close very close to the antenna. How do you get close to the antenna while you typically just move the antenna close to you. Right. And tada, you're close to the antenna so moving the antenna closer to you means need a lot more. And think about the last 30 years. All of the cell towers that have gone up. It's almost 2020. So that means since about 1990 or the late 80s basically every cell tower that's ever gone up. They're going to have to do that again. 300000 new antennas and there's a lot of outrage or some alarm in some neighborhoods as antennas are going up around homes now. So interesting problem. We'll see what happens if 5G isn't in your neighborhood yet. It will be soon. So, keep an eye out for those increased data speeds. I got to mention this again for those who are just joining us on the radio. : [00:22:58] The FBI router warning. Yes. This is real. No this is not a hoax. Yes, there are some things you can do about it. If you texted me this week I send to a lot of detail and to do I sent you a lot of detail on all of the individual devices that we know are vulnerable that are been hacked to right that are being hacked by apparently the Russians they are using this hack to take all of your data and send it back to Russia so that they can gather things like your bank account information. Right. That's what they really want and more information and also use your device to launch attacks against other people. Now that frankly that's a really, really, big deal in my book. How would you feel if you knew that your small business router or a home router was used to attack somebody and you know it was used for ransomware, or it was used for something even worse. We know that al Qaeda and ISIS have used compromised systems to spread their information to show videos of Americans being beheaded. Imagine that being on your or your home machine and having the FBI show up at your home asking about what happened and were there to check it out. If you don't have the information I can send it to you. I have some stuff up at my Web site. There is a lot more for those people who are in my insider membership site. It's all free. I opened it up to listeners who need access to this information. : [00:24:41] But you have to text me text me directly Eight, Five, Five, Three, Eight, Five, Fifty-five, fifty-three. : [00:24:48] I'm not going to bombard you with texts. OK. We're making this simple Eight, Five, Five, Three, Eight, Five, Fifty-five, fifty-three. I'll be glad to send you the information not just about the FBI warning but answer questions about your router and how you know during the week. Visit me online Craig Peterson dot com. Probably the most candid, humble, philosophical and emotional episode to date; the pod with Craig Smith is a no holds barred descent into the madness of drug and alcohol addiction, suicidal thoughts and how to emerge stronger from such darkness. From almost being a professional footballer with Sheffield United and a soldier with the British Marines, Craig tells his amazing story of growing up in the class system, getting away to see the world, rising to become one of the world's great admen, only to see it all eventually unravel before his eyes. We learn a good rule of thumb is to never die on your own doorstep; why the journey is essentially one of finding your true self; and why your life is usually never as bad as your mind might be telling you it is. Craig is a man who has thrown his many regrets into the chasm of the past and really worked hard to come out much stronger and more vital. He approached this chat with a desire to be totally open about his difficult experiences in the hope that his learnings and experience may be helpful to others going through the same thing. Today Craig runs www.smithandko.com with his wife, and this spring they welcomed their first child – Scout Hana – into the world. Release date: July 20th 2016 Runtime: 55m Recorded: New York
On this week's podcast, Productivity & Success Transformation Coach Craig Ballantyne, stops by the show to talk about how to beat anxiety to create your perfect day. Craig is a fitness expert and the author of the groundbreaking fat loss workout systems, Turbulence Training, and Home Workout Revolution. He has been a contributing author to Men's Health magazine since 2000 and has been the editor of the personal development newsletter, Early to Rise, since 2011. Understanding Your Own Anxiety Suffering from anxiety shouldn’t make you feel like a black sheep. In fact, many people that you know may suffer from some form of anxiety because 40 million Americans (18% of population) that are over the age of 18 face it each day. Some of these anxiety disorders include panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, or major depressive disorder. To beat your anxiety, you can change your mindset today. On this planet, every minute counts and in order to get the most out of each day of our lives, we have to get in the right mindset to take it head on as best as we can by changing our habits. Just like a fitness transformation, we need to make specific changes in order to see a mindset transformation. A new mindset transformation won’t only help us beat anxiety, but it will also help us become more goal driven and productive as well. In order to complete this mindset transformation, we can follow what Craig calls The Perfect Day Formula. How to Follow the Perfect Day Formula According to Craig, in order to begin following the Perfect Day Formula, we need to do The 3 C’s each day: Control the morning Conquer the afternoon Concentrate on what really matters The First C: You have the greatest control of your day during the morning hours. Before you leave the house, your morning is your time to focus on how you can get ahead in the day. Even if it’s just for 15 minutes before everyone wakes up, you control everything that you do. Start your day on a positive note to help you feel energized and focused with less stress by reading the newspaper, drinking some coffee, or watching the sunrise. Do anything that will help you clear your mind. The Second C: Conquer your afternoon with the 5 Pillars of Personal Transformation. Life is extremely unpredictable and anything can happen at the drop of a hat to throw us off course from our perfect day. Fortunately, with the 5 Pillars of Personal Transformation, we can better prepare ourselves for any emergencies, negative thoughts, or feelings of anxiety that may come our way. The 5 Pillars of Personal Transformation Plan and Prepare for any obstacles or emergencies that come into your life. Professional Accountability: Look to someone to hold you accountable for your actions and bring out the best in you. Positive Social Support: Who are your cheerleaders? These are the people that are always there for you and will help push you to do better. Meaningful Incentive: Have a big enough reason for why you’re doing what you’re doing i.e. for your children or your health. The Big Deadline: Set a deadline for the big and small goals during the day. "A goal without a deadline is just a dream." - Craig Ballantyne The Third C: Concentrate on what really matters by creating a vision for yourself In order to truly focus on your dreams, you need to create a vision for your life. This will help you understand where you want to go, how you want to get there, and help you make the right decisions overall. For the majority of us, that means creating structure in your life, but a lot of us don’t like structure. So what can we do? If you know exactly where you want to go, you can get there without any distractions when you follow your own rules. Instead of seeing structure as something that is holding you back from having the freedom to make your own decisions, structure can be extremely liberating. How you may ask? Well, isn’t following your own rules a lot easier and less stressful than following someone else’s orders? Why Your Perfect Day Starts With The Goodnight Formula The 3 C’s begin with taking control of your mornings, but the real magic begins that night before with Craig’s 10-3-2-1-0 Goodnight Formula. Your Perfect Day already begins 10 hours before you go to bed when you should be refraining from drinking any type of caffeine. Some people may be able to drink coffee or other caffeinated beverages at night, but for the majority of us, it can really affect our sleep cycle. As the day continues on, at 3 hours beforehand, you should not eat any heavy meals or drink alcohol. If you go to bed with alcohol in your system, you will most likely wake up feeling even more tired than you did the night before. To help you begin to relax more and not be stressed before you sleep, you should stop doing any type of work activity 2 hours before bed. At 1 hour left to go, it’s time to put away the electronics, turn off the TV, and avoiding looking at your phone’s screen. Whether or not you had a great night’s rest, zero is the number of times that you should hit the snooze button in the morning. If you allow yourself to fall back into a sleep cycle, it will be even more difficult for you to get up and enjoy your 15 free minutes to take control of your perfect day. How To Know If It’s Time For You To Change Your Environment & Relationships Whether they realize it or not, our friends, family members, and coworkers can sabotage our formula for a perfect day. When we’re trying to create the perfect day for ourselves by following the 3 C’s, the Five Pillars, and the Goodnight Formula, we can face different challenges. To get through them, we need to have the best support system that we can possible have from the people in our lives. These are that people that are there for you no matter what with their love, support, and kindness. Unfortunately, they can also sabotage us sometimes. To move forward and grow, we may have to change our environments. It may not be forever, but if you have a goal in mind, you may have to change your schedule and your activities to reach your goal. You don’t have to leave people behind, but this may also mean that you have to change the environment you’re in if you truly want to see yourself improve each day. If you’re in a toxic relationship that does not allow you to grow in anyway at all, you might have to give the gift of goodbye. That way, you can create space to allow new people into your life who will support your goals and hold you accountable for them. What Not To Do During Your Perfect Day When we face anxiety, we may follow negative habits that are holding us back from having a perfect day. Craig gave us so much great advice on what we should be doing to beat anxiety and create a perfect day, but he also has a Do Not Do List of what we should not be doing: Do not hit the snooze button. Do not check your email first thing in the morning. Do not answer all phone calls. Do not mindlessly surf the Internet. Do not waste time arguing or gossiping. Do not consume food or drink that makes you tired. These are some good tips to help you create a perfect day, but what about your own unique list? How can you be less distracted and more productive during the day? Take some time to write down what you’re doing each day and discover when you’re distracted and when you’re productive during the day. That way, you can create your own Do Not Do List and focus on the most important tasks you need to complete during your productive time.
