In a televised interview aired in Australia, Bill Gates was pressed about his past association with Jeffrey Epstein and asked whether he regretted having that connection. During the exchange, he acknowledged that he “shouldn't have had dinners” with Epstein, but he adamantly denied there was ever any deeper partnership or formal alignment between Epstein and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Gates maintained that his interactions with Epstein were limited and opportunistic rather than indicative of any ongoing relationship. The interview drew attention because it forced Gates into a defensive posture over years-old ties at a moment when Epstein's legacy remains deeply controversial. He was challenged repeatedly on whether his ex-wife, Melinda, had warned him about Epstein's intentions and whether any philanthropic deals had been discussed—questions he deflected by restating his regret while pushing back on accusations of deeper involvement.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

This week on Talking Triathlon we react to the biggest shake-up the T100 has seen yet, as the series announces massive changes to its 2026 format. We discuss what the removal of athlete contracts could mean for the future of professional racing, how splitting the season into four standalone men's and four standalone women's races could impact broadcast numbers, and whether increased per-event prize money will be enough to drive interest and secure top-tier fields. We then move into race coverage, where Hayden Wilde and Kate Waugh delivered commanding wins at the T100 Wollongong. But it was the WTCS racing that stole the spotlight. In the women's race, both Cassandre Beaugrand and Beth Potter struggled and saw their world title hopes fade, while Lisa Tertsch produced an incredible performance to win on the day and secure the world championship. In the men's race, Matt Hauser capped off a perfect season, becoming World Champion and delivering Australia's first WTCS world title since 2005. We finish the episode by looking ahead to the 70.3 World Championship start lists and the athletes who could shape the world title battle. Totex co-founder Berlin Raj joins Eric and “Overkill Bill” to unpack a single-box, hydronic monoblock system that combines space conditioning, domestic hot water, pool heating, thermal + lithium storage, EV charging integration, and backup power. Born from Berlin's lifelong tinkering (and many shocks), the idea: stop wasting condenser heat—capture it for hot water while cooling. The system keeps all refrigerant sealed in the outdoor unit and runs PEX supply/return to indoor air handlers (ducted or ductless), avoiding field flares and refrigerant line runs. Install looks familiar—set the pad, pipe PEX, fill a glycol loop, wire power/control—yet it adds clever tricks: load matching from ~1.5–6 tons, dynamic load limiting for small panels (even ~20–30A circuits), modular thermal storage (~100 kWh cooling / ~55 kWh heating), a ~10.5 kWh lithium pack, and app/10" touchscreen controls over Modbus with hooks for BMS and home automation. In cooling-plus-hot-water mode, field tests show very high effective COP (Berlin cites “9+”) because the unit harvests both sides of the cycle. Engineered for residential and light commercial (think houses, small offices, QSRs), the unit can supply hot water up to ~165°F, support radiant/underfloor at lower temps, operate down to about -7.6°F, and be manifolded for capacity and redundancy. Texas is the target U.S. beachhead (long cooling seasons = months of “free” hot water), with pilots in Australia and U.S. pilots planned; broader availability is aimed for mid to late next year. Berlin's closing note? “People, people, people”—comfort and outcomes start with humans. Notable Quotes: “Why dump condenser heat when you can use it? Cool the house and make hot water at the same time.” — Berlin Raj “Dynamic load balancing means a heat pump that plays nice with a 100-amp panel.” — Eric Kaiser (paraphrased) “People, people, people. Comfort is ultimately about humans first.” — Berlin Raj   Berlin on LinkedIn:https://www.linkedin.com/in/berlinrajm/ Totex website: https://www.totexenergy.com/ Come visit with Berin in person at the www.USHeatPumpSummit.com     This episode was recorded in September 2025.

Deep in an Australian rainforest, surrounded by birds older than any cathedral, We unpack one of the greatest mysteries in human history, how the first people to sail across open seas, 60,000 years ago, became a civilisation that forgot how to sail. The Aboriginal Australians, the oldest continuous culture on Earth, arrived when Europe was still under ice. They built languages older than Latin, mapped deserts the size of continents, and thrived for 99.7% of Australia's human history before a single European set foot here. Then, in just decades, 90% of them were gone, wiped out not by conquest, but by microbes. From this collision of worlds, we explore what makes societies innovate, why isolation freezes progress while connection multiplies it. Drawing on Harvard anthropologist Joseph Henrich's idea of the collective brain, they trace how collaboration fuels invention, from the first tools to AI. The episode arcs from the Aboriginal sailors who crossed 100 miles of open water before anyone else, to the Nobel Prize winners studying the alchemy of innovation, and ends with Ireland's own late awakening from creative isolation. Alex Sloley: Why Sticky Notes Are Your Visualization Superpower in Retrospectives Read the full Show Notes and search through the world's largest audio library on Agile and Scrum directly on the Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast website: http://bit.ly/SMTP_ShowNotes. "Like the smell, the vibe is something you feel. If you're having a successful impact on the organization or on teams as a Scrum Master, you can feel it, you can smell it. It's intangible." - Alex Sloley Alex introduces a compelling concept from Sumantra Ghoshal about "the smell of the workplace"—you can walk into an environment and immediately sense whether it smells like fresh strawberries and cream or a dumpster fire. In Australia, there's a cultural reference from the movie "The Castle" about "the vibe of the thing," and Alex emphasizes that as a successful Scrum Master, you can feel and smell when you're having an impact. While telling executives you're measuring "vibe" might be challenging, Alex shares three concrete ways he's measured success. The key insight is that success isn't always measurable in traditional ways, but successful Scrum Masters develop an intuition for sensing when their work is making a meaningful difference. Self-reflection Question: Can you articulate the "vibe" or "smell" of your current team or organization? What specific indicators tell you whether your Scrum Master work is truly making an impact beyond the metrics? Featured Retrospective Format for the Week: Sticky Notes for Everything Alex champions any retrospective format that includes sticky notes, calling them a "visualization superpower." With sticky notes, teams can visualize anything—the good, the bad, improvements, options, possibilities, and even metrics. They make information transparent, which is critical for the inspect-and-adapt cycle that forms the heart of Scrum. Alex emphasizes being strategic about visualization: identify a challenge, figure out how to make it visual, and then create experiments around that visualization. Once something becomes visible, magic happens because the team can see patterns they've never noticed before. You can use different sizes, colors, and positions to visualize constraints in the system, including interruptions, unplanned work, blocker clustering, impediments, and flow. This approach works not just in retrospectives but in planning, reviews, and daily scrums. The key principle is that you must have transparency in order to inspect, and you must inspect to adapt. Alex's practical advice: be strategic about what you choose to visualize, involve the team in determining how to make challenges visible, and watch as the transparency naturally leads to insights and improvement ideas. Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Wes Streeting joins Anita Rani to announce new government policy on women's health. Anita speaks to Amy Wallace, the writer and journalist who worked with Virginia Giuffre on her posthumously published memoir Nobody's Girl. After two years of conversations, emails and extensive fact-checking, the book lays bare the life-wrecking impact of power, corruption and industrial-scale sex abuse, but it is also the story of how a young woman survived and became an advocate for sex trafficking survivors and continued to work toward justice. The Government have announced that the SEND White Paper expected this autumn is delayed until next year. BBC Education reporter Kate McGough joins Anita to tell us more. After 165 days at sea, two British women have just made history becoming the first pair to row non-stop and unsupported across the Pacific Ocean, from South America to Australia. Jess Rowe, 28, and Miriam Payne, 25, set off from Lima in May and arrived in Cairns in Australia on Saturday, completing more than 8,000 miles in their nine-metre boat, Velocity. Along the way they faced storms, broken equipment, and even navigated by the stars when their systems failed - they join Anita to talk about the highs and lows of their Pacific adventure.Presenter: Anita Rani Producer: Corinna Jones

In his now-infamous 2019 BBC Newsnight interview, Prince Andrew claimed he was unable to sweat at the time Virginia Giuffre alleged they danced together at a London nightclub in 2001. He attributed this to a “peculiar medical condition” caused by “an overdose of adrenaline in the Falklands War.” However, photographs later surfaced showing Andrew attending parties in Saint-Tropez during the early 2000s, visibly perspiring under the Mediterranean sun. These images directly undercut his bizarre defense and reignited skepticism about his credibility—especially as they appeared to date from the same general period when he claimed to be physiologically incapable of sweating. In January 2022, Andrew's legal team sought permission to depose Giuffre's husband Robert Giuffre and her psychologist Dr Judith Lightfoot by video link in Australia. Their aim was to probe two key areas: first, whether Giuffre might “suffer from false memories,” in which context they requested details of any medications prescribed by Lightfoot; and second, the nature of Robert Giuffre's relationship with his wife and their shared finances, including how and when he met Giuffre.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Hancock and his partner started the mining operation at Wittenoom in the 1940s before selling it to CSR, which mined the area for 20 more years. OSINT: The New Tool in Commercial Investigations: Learn how Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT)—the same methodology used to forecast global threats like the rise of ISIS—is now being repurposed to trace and recover high-value commercial assets, such as stolen celebrity tequila, by monitoring online chatter and digital footprints. From Counter-Corruption to Corporate Supply Chains: Understand how the principles of counter-corruption and signals intelligence (SIGINT) that Jessica applied during her military deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan are directly relevant to identifying and neutralizing vulnerabilities in modern-day vendor networks and supply chains. The Tequila Heist as a Case Study for Organized Crime: Discover how the theft of a high-profile brand like Guy Fieri and Sammy Hagar's tequila is rarely an isolated incident, but often a sign of sophisticated organized criminal enterprises using the dark market, which requires a "mission-grade" approach to identify the true threat actors. The Power of AI in Exposing Hidden Identities: Explore how Babel Street's AI-native platform is used to rapidly sift through global, multilingual data to "expose hidden identities" involved in commercial theft, showing that the sheer volume of data makes human-only analysis impossible. Forecasting and Pre-Empting Brand Risk: A key lesson is the shift from reacting to theft to predicting it. Learn how intelligence professionals can apply forecasting models to identify and secure distribution choke points or compromised vendor relationships before a high-value product goes missing. The Strategic Cost of Reputational Damage: Beyond the physical loss of inventory, the episode highlights the immense brand and reputational risk for celebrity-backed products. The use of advanced risk intelligence is necessary to protect a brand's integrity and consumer trust following a public security failure. Bridging National Security and Private Sector Intelligence: The conversation will demonstrate the growing imperative for private companies to adopt the rigor and discipline of national security intelligence methods to secure their operations against global threats, transforming how they approach risk mitigation. I first heard Tom Barnett speak at Confluence last year — and man, it hit hard. He gave a powerful talk on how everything is an offer — in law, in life, in the spiritual realm. And that we all get to choose how we respond. That message stuck with me. It was raw, empowering, and packed with real truth. I knew I had to bring him on the Live Free Now Show to share that insight with all of you. In this episode, we dive deep into Natural Law, sovereignty, and Tom's personal journey — from growing up questioning the system in Australia, to navigating courts and injustice, to healing chronic fatigue not through medicine, but through alignment with Natural Law. Tom doesn't claim to be a master. But his open mind and grounded way of teaching make him one of the most powerful messengers I've come across. He breaks down complex spiritual and legal ideas in a way that's simple, clear, and direct. We also talk about The Humble Kingdom — the platform he and his wife Summah launched in 2025 as a response to what people need most right now: clarity, healing, truth, and sovereignty. Jeremy Horne believes it's time to turn technology into a bridge, not a barrier, to help families reconnect through the power of storytelling.Jeremy is the founder and CEO of Winny, part of the Human Connection Company. He shares how technology can help us feel more human. Inspired by the VHS interviews he recorded with his grandparents as a child, Jeremy created Winny—an app designed to preserve family stories and strengthen meaningful connections. The conversation explores the importance of social health alongside physical and mental well-being, the beauty of analog experiences in a digital world, and how technology can nurture empathy instead of distraction. From his caravan travels across Australia with his family to running without headphones to reconnect with nature, Jeremy's message is simple but powerful: connection is what keeps us grounded.3 Takeaways:(1) Social health matters. Genuine connection and shared stories are vital to our well-being—just as much as physical or mental health.(2) Preserve stories before they fade. Recording loved ones' memories builds a legacy of gratitude and belonging for future generations.(3) Technology can amplify humanity. With intention, tools like Winnie help us connect more deeply—not just scroll endlessly.Pause your scrolling today. How do we heal ourselves from the 'lost-ness' that afflicts our culture? How do we move on from the strange—and wholly untrue— belief our culture holds that we are separate from the natural world, that our cycles of exploitation, extraction, destruction, pollution are the way the world is, that this is the natural order and there's nothing we can do to change it, individually or collectively? Knowing that our sense of separation is an illusion is one thing, but genuinely feeling it deep in the marrow of our bones is quite another.  Which is where this week's guest comes in.  Kelly Wendorf is an executive and personal coach,  spiritual mentor, disruptor, and socially responsible entrepreneur.  As you'll hear, her book 'Flying Lead Change: 56 million years of Wisdom for living and leading' offers a unique answer to these questions. Kelly is founder and CEO of EQUUS whose central question is, 'What are you Yearning for?' and whose central offer is: 'We create conditions for your transformation'. As the name suggests, she and her team do this, by engaging the generous spirits of a herd of horses as mirrors to the people who come to EQUUS for coaching - and, although this is often not why they think they're coming, for healing.  Kelly's childhood experience with a whole-hearted man in Ethiopia, and later, with one of the First Nations people in Australia, taught her a way of listening, of being fully present, fully in her heart mind and body mind, in the present moment, and this is what she helps others to find with the help of the horses who often just don't engage if we're not congruent, not present, not fully embodied. She has been called a ‘corporate shaman' and a ‘CEO whisperer', but as we crash through the boundaries of the Great Transformation, it seems to me that Kelly's work opens doors for us all. We may not have access to a herd of free-living, re-wilding horses, but even reading about the experiences of her clients can melt some of the concrete around our hearts. And with this, we can always step outside, stand still, let the living world teach us. So this was a deeply moving read, and a fascinating conversation, at the end of which, Kelly offered our community coupons for two of her forthcoming online courses - the first 'Breaking the Loop, Transforming Habits that hold you back' is on Saturday 1st November at 10-11:30 am Mountain Time and she's offered 50% off that one.  The second is nearly a year from now: How to lead a Transformative Life' takes place over two Saturdays, for two hours each at 10am - 12 noon Mountain Time and this one has a base cost of $457, but Kelly is offering it to our Accidental Gods community for free.  So please do go and check out the show notes for the links and the coupon codes. LinksEQUUS Inspired website https://www.equusinspired.com/Kelly's Book: https://www.equusinspired.com/flcCOURSES2025 - BREAKING THE LOOP: Transforming Habits that hold you backSaturday 1st November 10-11:30am Mountain Time  Coupon for 50% off - EQUUS50KW (full cost $97 - 50% =$48.50)2026 How to Lead a Transformative LifeSeptember 26th, 2026 | 10:00am-12:00pm MTOctober 3rd, 2026 | 10:00am-12:00pm MTCOUPON  for 100% off - EQUUS100KW (original cost $457 - coupon cost = Free )Podcasts mentioned: #297 Charlie Bennet https://accidentalgods.life/otterly-amazing-common-sense-farming-can-feed-us-all-with-charlie-bennett/#288 Abel Pearson https://accidentalgods.life/farm-as-church-land-as-lover-community-farming-and-food-with-abel-pearson-of-glasbren/#273 Daniel Firth Griffith Kin Centric ReWilding https://accidentalgods.life/farm-as-church-land-as-lover-community-farming-and-food-with-abel-pearson-of-glasbren/What we offer: Accidental Gods, Dreaming Awake and the Thrutopia Writing Masterclass If you'd like to join our next Open Gathering offered by our Accidental Gods Programme it's  'Dreaming Your Death Awake' (you don't have to be a member) it's on 2nd November - details are here. The next one after this is 'Dreaming your Year Awake' on Sunday 4th January 2026 from 16:00 - 20:00 GMT - details are hereIf you'd like to join us at Accidental Gods, this is the membership where we endeavour to help you to connect fully with the living web of life. In two weeks, millions of Americans will be voting — but a Supreme Court case could change elections as we know them. Last week, the court heard arguments in Louisiana vs. Callais, a case that centers on Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. Basically, the court is deciding whether or not states can use race to draw voting maps — and depending on what it decides, it could give Republicans the ability to eliminate at least six majority-minority districts and land about a dozen more seats in the House of Representatives. So we spoke to Stacey Abrams about the court's deliberations. She's the Host of Crooked Media's Assembly Required and a New York Times Bestselling Author. And in headlines, Trump signs a critical minerals deal with the Prime Minister of Australia, universities publicly reject the Trump administration's “Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education”, and House Speaker Mike Johnson, aka “Mad Mike,” yearns to be happy again as the shutdown heads into week three.Show Notes:Check out Coded Justice – https://tinyurl.com/3yx73h78Watch Assembly Required – https://tinyurl.com/4nv3uzatCall Congress – 202-224-3121Subscribe to the What A Day Newsletter – https://tinyurl.com/3kk4nyz8What A Day – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@whatadaypodcastFollow us on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/crookedmedia/For a transcript of this episode, please visit crooked.com/whataday Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
