The first live marketing talk show goes under the hood of the growth machines running frontier tech. No hype, no founder worship, just marketers who have done the work telling you what they actually see.Every other week, a rotating crew goes live to decode the moves everyone in marketing is quietly talking about, break down a real product in real time, take hard sides on a hot take that matters, and put their own instincts under pressure with no time to hide behind a framework. This week we open on Reddit turning on itself: its own ads boss admits he's not sure the data moat he sells advertisers is still exclusive, now that the company is licensing community data to OpenAI and Google. Then Olly takes GEO apart and makes the case that "AI visibility" is mostly repackaged SEO with a shinier name. And we get into creators becoming the IP, where a 4chan post turns into a $390M franchise and studios scramble to own culture nobody really can. Plus more. This is Chain Reactions, reborn as the show from marketers to break open all the marketing around you.

Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg unveiled his vision for an AI-powered utopia that mostly boils down to "trust humanity to do the right thing," which is a bold statement from the guy whose $300 million yacht apparently couldn't hear a Coast Guard distress call from a stranded family. Elsewhere, an AI agent booked a gym class by exploiting a security hole and kicking someone else off the waitlist, because nothing says "personal assistant" like accidental cybercrime. The EU is now requiring labels on realistic AI generated content, China is breaking up people and their chatbot companions, and OpenAI reportedly has achieved the ultimate AI ethics breakthrough: having no dedicated ethicist. The surveillance dystopia is also picking up speed. Flock tried to turn hundreds of thousands of rideshare and delivery drivers into a roving army of license-plate snitches, while every Flock camera in one Minnesota city was promptly sawed down and stolen. Meta's smart glasses continue their transformation into the preferred accessory of creeps and pickup-artist assholes, prompting pubs and other venues to ban them outright. Researchers found those glasses being used to secretly record and harass women, proving once again that every shiny new piece of wearable technology eventually gets repurposed as a tool for human depravity. And because apparently your car dashboard wasn't already commercial enough, BMW is now putting Spider-Man ads on the screens you paid tens of thousands of dollars to own. Finally, Apple is facing a class-action lawsuit over an iCloud Private Relay flaw that can expose your supposedly private IP address, Anthropic is watermarking Claude-generated text, SpaceXAI is taking another year to remove a pile of unpermitted gas turbines, and somebody is apparently stealing millions of dollars in AI hardware straight off California highways. We also hit Media Candy with Strange New Worlds, Silo, Broadchurch, Ted Lasso, and The X-Files, sweat through yet another Apple Fitness disaster, celebrate the sweet relief of escaping Spark, and ask the eternal Gen-X question: how did all this technology supposedly make life easier when we're still just sitting here surrounded by 47 goddamn tabs?Sponsors:CleanMyMac - Get Tidy Today! The removal of Nigeria's fuel subsidy was presented as a difficult but necessary economic reform. Nigerians were told that the money previously spent on subsidy would be freed up and redirected toward infrastructure, social investment, and other priorities that would benefit the nation. However, along the line, something went wrong. What happened to that money, the lifesaving national fortune?Did subsidy removal deliver the economic benefits Nigerians were promised? How much was actually saved, where was it spent, and did ordinary Nigerians see meaningful value from the funds that were supposedly freed up?In this episode of the Dr Reju Podcast, we examine the questions surrounding subsidy removal, public spending, accountability, and the growing gap between government promises and the lived reality of Nigerians.Watch the full episode and join the conversation.#DrRejuPodcast #SubsidyRemoval #Nigeria #FuelSubsidy #AccountabilityInGovernance #PublicMoney

A North Sydney agent brawl, a $1.2 million cyber scam near miss, and a court battle over property deposits: the latest real estate drama goes well beyond the auction floor. On Real Estate Exposed, Liam Garman and Emilie Lauer examine some of the industry's most contentious stories, from alleged agent misconduct to cyber security threats and the fight over who should hold property deposits. The pair discuss an alleged altercation involving rival agents on Sydney's Lower North Shore, and what public incidents like this can mean for professional reputations in an increasingly competitive market. They also look at a near miss involving a $1.2 million settlement redirection scam, highlighting how a sophisticated email fraud was stopped before the funds disappeared and why real estate businesses remain vulnerable to cyber crime. The conversation then turns to the growing debate around third-party trust accounts and "deposit flicking", following an NSW Supreme Court case that has reignited questions over transparency, consent, and the handling of property deposits. With regulators reviewing the rules, the episode examines what the case could mean for agencies and the future of third-party arrangements. Did you like this episode? What sounds like the plot of a crime thriller was Sharon Armstrong's real life. An online romance drew her into an elaborate web of lies involving overseas contracts, invented emergencies, and several people playing carefully planned roles. By the time she arrived at an airport in Argentina with five kilograms of cocaine hidden inside her suitcase, she still believed she was carrying business documents for the man she loved. Sharon was arrested and spent more than two years in an Argentinian prison before returning home without a conviction. During that time, she had to confront the truth of what had happened and find a way to forgive herself. She later wrote about the experience in her book, *Organized Deception*. Today, she is an author and international scam awareness advocate who works to educate the public, support survivors, and challenge the shame that often keeps victims silent. In this episode, we talk about how the criminals built trust so quickly, why warnings from loved ones can be difficult to hear, and how organized scam networks use kindness and personal values against the people they target. Sharon also explains why she no longer says she "fell for" a romance scam. She was deliberately targeted by sophisticated criminals, and she believes the attention belongs on those who planned the deception rather than on the person they harmed. Show Notes: [01:12] Sharon begins the story of moving to Australia and unexpectedly being signed up for an online dating site. [03:36] A convincing introduction quickly develops into an intense romance with someone claiming to be an engineer. [04:52] The first request for money tests the trust that had already been built through a carefully fabricated story. [06:18] The scammers introduce new characters and create a plan for Sharon to travel to London through Argentina. [09:07] Family concerns grow as the relationship begins to take priority over the people who had always mattered most to her. [11:34] A suitcase supposedly carrying business documents arrives after Sharon has spent a confusing week alone in Argentina. [13:21] Airport officials discover five kilograms of cocaine hidden beneath the lining of the suitcase. [15:46] Sharon describes surviving the first days minute by minute before spending two and a half years in prison. [18:09] Criminals study a target's values, kindness, history, and online presence to create a story that feels deeply personal. [20:58] A dramatization of Sharon's story shows how organized manipulation can gradually change someone's behavior and relationships. [23:16] Her experience as a probation officer did not protect her from grooming that closely resembled techniques she already understood. [25:07] More than 7,000 messages over five months reveal the intensity of the communication and how difficult it was to recognize from inside the relationship. [28:13] Healing begins when Sharon decides to forgive herself rather than continue carrying shame for what the criminals did. [30:04] Denial can become a safe place when accepting the truth feels more painful than continuing to believe the story. [32:08] Public humiliation adds another layer of trauma after details of Sharon's arrest are released to the media. [34:27] Each day in prison begins with a choice to move toward happiness rather than allow the experience to make her bitter. [37:52] Writing, speaking publicly, and sharing her story become important parts of rebuilding her life. [40:09] Sharon rejects the phrase "fell for a scam" and explains why victims should be described as people deliberately targeted by organized criminals. [42:18] The title Organised Deception shifts attention toward the people who intentionally planned and carried out the crime. [43:17] Victim blaming can make people feel safer because it allows them to believe the same thing could never happen to them. [46:02] Sharon believes being arrested may have saved her life and kept her from being trafficked through an even more dangerous country. [48:34] Families increasingly reach out for help as they recognize the seriousness of romance scams and look for ways to support someone they love. [50:01] Sharon shares how listeners can connect with her through Stand Up 2 Scams and learn more about Organised Deception. [51:37] A reminder that scam victims are not alone and that the shame belongs with the ruthless criminals who targeted them. Thanks for joining us on Easy Prey. How do you know what to trust when so many voices promise security, happiness, and answers? In this message, we explore the difference between truth and counterfeit—from the recent “blessing scams” targeting vulnerable people in Vancouver to the very first deception in the Garden of Eden. Scams don't only exploit ignorance; they often target our deepest fears, desires, and longing for security.Through the temptation of Jesus, the example of the Bereans, and Paul's warning against a counterfeit gospel, we discover the importance of biblical discernment. The answer to deception isn't cynicism or trusting everyone—it's learning to recognize the authentic by knowing Jesus.Because when we understand His character, His teachings, and His grace, we can better recognize the voices, promises, and gospels that echo Him—and those that don't.The true blessing isn't found in a formula, a transaction, or something we have to earn. It is found in Jesus, and it has already been given.Visit Us at oacvancouver.ca We believe that Jesus is needed and relevant for people in Vancouver today. The message of God's love and promise of wholeness was destined to be experienced within a faith community that worships, studies scripture and prays together. We're joined by Krlue Prue, who teaches people how to piss men off and will soon be joining the Big Money Players family when his podcast joins the network in the fall. Together, Kyle and Laci attempt to understand why Crèmily put a pool on an MLB field, why people keep trying to order the ice cream at McDonald's, and why withholding a talent makes people believe you're more talented.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We often think of the Ku Klux Klan as anonymous, masked vigilante terrorists, but for several years of the 1920s, joining their ranks was a mass pop cultural craze, leading to millions signing up and millions more supporting them. For part one of this two part series, we'll learn about the proto-pyramid scheme of the second KKK in which a PR company assembled a national sales team to whip up the many racial, religious, and cultural grievances of white Protestant Americans, convincing them to pay up to join a real life fantasy role-playing game in the form of a fraternal order. Through marketing the Klan as a patriotic, upstanding, and normal social club, they also used family-friendly events to bring in more paying members, all while committing their trademark acts of violence and intimidation behind the scenes. In this exclusive interview with FBI Director Kash Patel, we dive into the FBI's campaign to take down scam centers around the world, from Burma to the United Arab Emirates.Last year, the FBI launched Operation Blackout, a 16-month campaign that dismantled four of the world's largest scam centers.Working with international partners—notably including China's Ministry of Public Security—the FBI seized over $15 billion, arrested more than 300 individuals, and freed thousands of trafficked victims who had been forced to work at these scam compounds. The amount of money Americans have reported losing to fraud has increased over threefold from 2020 to 2025, according to data from the Federal Trade Commission. And nearly half of that in 2025 went to romance cryptocurrency scams—known as pig-butchering scams.Scammers use texts to build trust before luring victims into fake investments that drain their life savings. Then they move and launder the money through crypto wallets. So what can people do to avoid being scammed? Will the FBI be returning all the seized money? And why has the FBI chosen to work with China on tackling these scam compounds? How can the Chinese regime be trusted to work in good faith? In this wide-ranging interview, we also discuss the FBI's fight to catch spies, investigate transnational repression, cut bureaucratic red tape, and prevent the next terrorist attack.Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and guest, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.

In this episode of The D.O. Show, host Dustin Owen delivers an urgent warning to mortgage professionals about the rapidly escalating threat of AI-powered fraud schemes targeting homebuyers and industry participants. He explains that scammers are now leveraging advanced technologies such as voice cloning, spoofed emails, and sophisticated fake identities to convincingly impersonate loan officers and other trusted parties. These criminals use these tactics to deceive borrowers and redirect wire transfers during the critical closing process, putting both clients and professionals at significant financial risk. Dustin delves into the specific methods fraudsters employ, such as mimicking the exact tone and mannerisms of a loan officer's voice, sending emails from addresses that appear legitimate, and creating fake websites or documents that are nearly indistinguishable from the real thing. He stresses that in today's environment, even a familiar voice on the phone or a seemingly authentic email is no longer sufficient proof of identity. To help mortgage professionals and their clients stay protected, Dustin shares a series of practical, actionable steps. He recommends educating borrowers early in the process about the risks of wire fraud and the tactics scammers use. Establishing verified, secure lines of communication is essential, as is implementing multi-factor authentication for sensitive transactions. Dustin also advises creating clear, company-wide protocols for responding to suspicious requests or unexpected changes in wiring instructions, ensuring that every team member knows how to react quickly and appropriately. Throughout the episode, Dustin emphasizes the importance of proactive preparation. He urges loan officers to have these critical conversations with both their borrowers and their internal teams before any fraud attempt occurs, rather than waiting until after an incident has taken place. By taking these steps, mortgage professionals can help safeguard their clients, their reputations, and their businesses from the ever-evolving threat of AI-driven fraud. Americans are ripped off in the billions annually through romance “pig-butchering” scams—the most dominant type. But who's really behind them? The shocking reality is the vast majority of these scammers are trafficked victims, enslaved across more than 60 countries and forced to scam or face torture.“You're working 17-hour days. You're catatonic. You're not getting sleep. You start to doze. They‘ll electrocute you, and if you refuse to scam, they'll torture you,” said Timothy Blackwood, an award-winning Canadian-American film director. His film “Scam Slave: From Hell to Home” follows a Ugandan man promised a high-paying job in Thailand, only to be kidnapped by a Myanmar-based crime syndicate.“There's all different types of scams going on there. There's villas, there's strip clubs, there's clinics to support the staff that are managing and running these compounds,” Blackwood says. These scam centers in Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar generate billions that fund even more advanced operations.“It's not simply in the horrific statistics of how many billions of dollars are being scammed from Americans annually, but the human cost to people's lives.”In this episode, I dive into how these operations stay hidden and what can actually be done to stop them.Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and the guest, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.

Jase, Al, and Zach trace the roots of socialism, scarcity, and abortion back to a worldview that rejects God's design for humanity. Zach argues that socialism runs against the Biblical command to cultivate, create, and expand, while Jase connects that same survival mindset to ancient child sacrifice and the modern lie that children are liabilities. Al examines Jesus' warnings about Gehenna and shows how the Bible ties justice to the way people treat those made in God's image.
