Here we are with Season 3, Episode 3, where we aptly discuss the meaning of the numbers 3, 33, and numbers in triplicate! Numbers are more than just random digits or odd ‘coincidences,' God speaks to us through numbers in dreams, visions, or even patterns we see in our waking life. Believe it or not, this isn't a new way of God speaking to His people. In fact, it's an ancient method of communication from God. Did you know that every letter of the Hebrew alphabet has a number assigned to it? God has used numbers to speak profound messages to His people for thousands of years and still does today. The number 3 often symbolizes the Trinity and divine perfection, while 33 can represent the death and resurrection of Jesus, or death unto life. We also explore the significance of numbers in triplicate, such as 333 or any other repeated number. When you encounter these patterns, God is likely highlighting His presence in your life and bringing a sense of completeness concerning what the number in triplicate signifies. However, each occurrence is an invitation to seek deeper understanding from God. To learn more about these numbers and how to interpret them in your life, seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and be sure to tune in to this week's episode of Breathing Underwater!Resources mentioned: Numbers That Preach by Troy Brewer Googling the Hebrew meaning of a given number Hebrew linguistics for numbers 1-40 Strong's Concordance Scripture!

This season, Malcolm's obsessed with experiments – natural experiments, scientific experiments, thought experiments. In this preview, we learn about Paul Madden, who ran the California Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement in the 1930s. He enacted an expensive, burdensome, annoying bit of bureaucratic anti-drug hysteria known as the “triplicate program” that made every doctor in the state miserable because it involved a lot of paperwork. But Madden insisted this kind of paperwork would save lives. Fast forward to the 90s and early 2000s, when opioids were being prescribed as painkillers at a rapid rate – and killing tens of thousands of Americans due to overdoses. The government looked to Madden's triplicate program as a way of preventing the epidemic. A handful of states started their own triplicate prescription programs, but most ignored the warning signs. The result was a devastating natural experiment. Today's guest deejay is Michael Southard of Triplicate Records. A couple of months ago, Soundwave guest deejay Ishmael Cormack (listen to his mix here) asked for musical recommendations from his followers on Twitter. Ismael got a lot of responses, and I listened to every suggestion on Spotify. If I heard something I liked, I'd invite the musician to guest deejay on Soundwave. Anthéne, for example, appeared on the show back in August. And today's show, of course, features Triplicate Records. I remember back in the 80's listening to the soundtrack to Birdy by Peter Gabriel and wishing some musicians would record music for imaginary soundtracks. Such music existed, but I wasn't aware of it until the following year when I was turned on to Brian Eno's Ambient 4: On Land and Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks. Finding Eno, and musicians like him, was everything I hoped for and more. Over the decades, I've seen more and more record labels dedicated to ambient, modern classical, experimental and instrumental music. 12k comes to mind, as does n5MD and Ultimae Records. Music from Triplicate Records was already popping up on my Spotify Discover Weekly playlist and music I was discovering on Bandcamp. When Triplicate Records was recommended to Ishmael on Twitter, it felt like the universe was telling me to invite them on the show. Triplicate Records is a boutique record label working primarily with instrumental electronic music. They are 100% artist-run, by producers Michael Southard (Time Rival), Bryan Kraft (BVSMV), and George Ernst (Suncastle). Despite the pandemic, they have gained a following with their unique musical tastes, striking artwork, and consistent output. You're going to love today's mix. If you want to hear more from Triplicate Records, listen to their Spotify playlist here. Join us next week when our guest deejay will be Oleg Puzan of Line Spectrum. See you then! We conclude our four-part series exploring Dylan's use of horns on record and in concert by covering 2004 to 2017. This series delves into the producers, arrangers, and musicians with whom Dylan worked when adding horns to his song arrangements. This episode features Dylan's new millennium exploration of jazz and, with it, more sophisticated horn arrangements. In "20 Pounds of Headlines" we look at the possibility of a Fall tour after the recently announced October 13th show to take place in Lubbok Texas, we look forward to the release of Bootleg Series volume 16 in two weeks, we make a book and Youtube recommendation, we cover the recent uploading of hundreds of Dylan songs onto Dylan's Youtube channel, and we look at the fourteen Dylan songs that The Beatles covered in their LET IT BE recording sessions. In "Who Did It Better?" we ask you who did "Sentimental Journey" better: Doris Day with Les Brown in 1944 or Bob Dylan as recorded for TRIPLICATE (2017) in 2016.     I love guest mixes because they expose me to tracks I might have otherwise missed in the monthly deluge of new releases. This new mix comes to us from Michael Southard(Time Rival) of Triplicate Records. I've included a few Time Rival tracks in mixes over the years so I was excited when Michael agreed to put together a mix of some of the best his label has to offer. Here's a blurb from Michael about this guest mix: Triplicate Records is an artist run independent record label founded in 2018 by Michael Southard (Time Rival), Bryan Kraft (BVSMV), and George Ernst (Suncastle).  We cover a lot of ground in regard to genres, but mostly stick to electronica, ambient and experimental.  “Vantage” is a collection of music from our back catalog that highlights the softer side of what we do.  Mixed and curated by Time Rival and featuring phenomenal new music from Ian Hawgood, Belly Full of Stars, Chris Randall, and much more. All of this music is available through our Bandcamp page:  https://triplicaterecords.bandcamp.com/   Thanks for an excellent set! They're suggesting the path to peace and justice is taking away citizens' rights and extending those rights to violent criminals? By the way, when a government official says something STUPID like that ask her for specific names, then write those names down. It isn't radical, it's sanity.

Todd Zalkins is an interventionist, public speaker, and author, but he hasn’t always been. His past is checkered with sex, drugs, and punk-rock, and Z-Man, as he is known to his friends, spent a lot of time with all three with the band Sublime. In fact, he spent 17 years poisoning his body with opiates. He describes his 15-month detox as Satanic, the cherry on top of which was a bout of insomnia that lasted 44 days. Now clean and sober for 11 years, Z-Man dedicates his life to helping others. Todd Zalkins is also a storyteller, motivator, and thought-leader on recovery who inspires others to not only realize their potential but to live it. His gripping memoir, “Dying for Triplicate” which details his harrowing 17-year addiction to prescription painkillers, through detox and into his first 18 months of recovery, has helped thousands of other addicts find their way into treatment. In addition to his writing, intervening and speaking, he is the Founder and CEO of ALL in Interventions, a state certified Drug & Alcohol counselor (CADC) and one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in the United States. Todd is also the co-founder of The Nowell Family Foundation, a non-profit he created along with Jim “Papa” Nowell. Set to open late in 2018 in San Juan Capistrano, will bear the name “Bradley’s House,” and will be dedicated specifically to treating male musicians with opiate addiction. In 2016 his story became the subject of the award-winning documentary film, “The Long Way Back” The Story of Todd ‘Zman’ Zalkins that premiered at film festivals nationwide in 2017. "...And I hated myself for a long time."Wow, listen to this powerful episode and hear Todd explain why, "My getting sober was the most tumultuous, the gnarliest, rockiest, most difficult, most painful thing that I've ever walked through in my life."He goes on to explain, "Which is why today I have a very healthy outlook on the dangers of my drug abuse."Todd is more than an interventionist, public speaker, and author, he’s a storyteller and motivator who inspires others as a thought-leader on recovery, to not only realize their potential but live it.His gripping memoir, “Dying for Triplicate” which details his harrowing 17-year addiction to prescription painkillers, through detox and into his first 18 months of recovery, has helped thousands of other addicts find their way into treatment.Todd is also the co-founder of The Nowell Family Foundation, a non-profit he created along with Jim “Papa” Nowell. Set to open late in 2018 in San Juan Capistrano, will bear the name “Bradley’s House,” and will be dedicated specifically to treating male musicians with opiate addiction-a first of its kind.Todd is FOUNDER and CEO of the Four Keys, INC a vertical enterprise that encompasses ALL in RECOVERY; interventions, treatment, education and post-treatment care. Current curriculum includes workshops centered in helping addicts and alcoholics develop new tools for integrating back into life, clean and sober. These two-day sessions are dedicated to inspiring and motivating individuals to further their recovery. The Long Way Back: The Story of Todd ‘Z-Man’ Zalkins is an award-winning documentary film about Todd which has recently come out in select theaters and worldwide on Amazon, iTunes and DVD.After losing his friend Bradley Nowell to a heroin overdose, Todd Zalkins aka "Z-MAN" fights for his life in what will become the worst drug crisis in American History, the Opioid Epidemic. Against all odds, Todd is able to break a seventeen-year addiction to prescription painkillers and dedicates his life to helping others who struggle with addiction. In a twist of fate, Todd is presented with an opportunity to help Bradley Nowell's son, Jakob battle his own addiction with drugs and alcohol. A story of redemption, and recovery, The Long Way Back shatters the stigma associated with prescription painkiller addiction and offers a strong message of hope and awareness.Todd lives in Long Beach, California, swims and surfs regularly, prays daily, is extremely active in his recovery, still rocks out with his punk rock band and loves his clean and sober life.Websites:http://toddzalkins.comhttp://thelongwaybackfilm.comhttp://thenowellfamilyfoundation.orgPodcast:http://toddzcast.libsyn.comSocials:https://facebook.com/thelongwaybackfilm/https://facebook.com/ToddZManZalkins/https://instagram.com/thelongwaybackfilm/https://instagram.com/toddzalkins/https://twitter.com/LongWayBackFilmhttps://youtube.com/channel/UCT6WA-EWDvv_3Aa_15r3vmAPhone: 1-888-604-7370Sponsored by:The Addictions Academy – The Nation’s Leading Accredited Addiction Treatment Services, Recovery/Sober Coaching & Intervention Training Academy: https://theaddictionsacademy.com/Hassle-Free Books - You have a message to share, it shouldn't be so difficult to get it out to the world.
