Bitten by the acting bug in college, while teaching, Michael Jai White began auditioning for commercials and acting gigs on weekends and summer breaks. Michael landed the lead role of Tom Robinson in the first Off-Broadway adaptation of To Kill A Mockingbird. Before long, Michael would go on to guest star on such hit television shows as Saved by the Bell, Martin, NYPT Blue, and CSI. Proving his acting ability, Michael would soon be cast for the lead role of legendary boxer Mike Tyson in the HBO biopic Tyson which solidified his legitimacy as a dramatic actor in Hollywood. Michael was then cast to play the title character in the movie Spawn which came with the distinction of being the first black superhero in a major motion picture. As he cemented his Hollywood status as a bonafide action star, more diverse roles emerged that allowed him to showcase his physical prowess as well as display his on-screen charisma and comedic ability in such films as Exit Wounds, Undisputed 2, Silver Hawk, Blood & Bone, Black Dynamite and Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married and Why Did I Get Married Too playing opposite Tasha Smith. He's currently the star and director of Outlaw Johnny Black. The plot reads, “Hell bent on avenging the death of his father, Johnny Black vows to gun down Brett Clayton and becomes a wanted man in the process. He goes into hiding, posing as a preacher in a small mining town that's been taken over by a notorious Land Baron.” This is a special interview associated with my first documentary, Daredevil Society, a series about the history of stunt performers, including everyone from Buster Keaton to Jackie Chan to Zoe Bell to Keanu Reeves. To cap it off, the guys dive deep into 2007's epic theatrical bomb - Grindhouse. We couldn't celebrate this anniversary without some help. So, we asked Sammy, “The Godfather of Grindhouse,” to join us and puts his knowledge on display. Released as an over three-hour experience, Grindhouse featured two full length films - Planet Terror and Death Proof from Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. Also, various other directors contributed fake move trailers to capture the traditional grindhouse theatrical experience. Sadly, this unique film experience flopped at the box office and prevented audiences from getting another experiment like Grindhouse for a long time. Before the timestamps, we have one last note. You can't have Revenge Month and not cover a Quentin Tarantino movie. His half of the Grindhouse double-bill, Death Proof, is a throwback to an era of B-level filmmaking that perhaps QT and Robert Rodriguez admire more than audiences did. After all, this was the rare QT box-office bomb. Even he admits it's his worst movie. Still, that car chase is a masterpiece of stunt-work. Real-life stuntwoman-turned-actress Zoe Bell just did what she does anyway...risk her life for the shot in spectacular ways. Sydney Poitier in the first half of Death Proof and then Rosario Dawson in the second half are both hot & cool, but this flick belongs to a malevolent Kurt Russell as Stuntman Mike. Is he a stand-in for his director? We discuss. The short of it is, Tarantino's flick remains entertaining and very watchable, despite some horrifying decisions made by the lady "heroes". Well, baby, it's you, so burn rubber to save your life, then drive like a maniac to get some payback as Have You Ever Seen's 505th episode covers the car-chase side of Grindhouse. Well, Actually: It's Tura Satana in Faster Pussycat Kill Kill, not Tura SANtana. Also, Marley Shelton plays a doctor in the Grindhouse twosome, not a nurse. Also also, it's Fred Raskin---not Raksin---who became QT's editor. If you drink coffee and you want something better than you're currently getting, try Sparkplug Coffee. This episode's guest got her big break in New Zealand when she stepped in to be the new stunt double for Lucy Lawless in the series Xena: Warrior Princess. With notoriety from the show, she got on a plane to the US to score her first major film role in the iconic Quintin Tarantino film KILL BILL, parts 1 and 2 as the stunt double for “THE BRIDE” played by Uma Thurman. Her credits following that film include other Tarantino films such as the stuntwoman centric movie Deathproof - where she played her own namesake and was her own stunt double, followed by an avalanche of other major films and television shows including Alias, Inglorious Basterds, The Proposal, Final Destination, Thor: Ragnarok, and making her full stunt coordinating debut WHILE also acting in the Tarantino film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood where she (ironically) played the part of the stunt coordinator's wife opposite Kurt Russell. She has expanded her extremely successful career as one of Hollywoods top stuntwomen to include actress, producer and now director.  She recently spearheaded and directed the viral quarantine video “Boss Bitch Fight Challenge” and has stunt coordinated AND acted in the upcoming film “Haymaker.” Not only is this person undoubtedly one of the most hard working, talented women I've ever met, she has a heart of gold, and stomach of steel. Her kindness and character know no bounds, and she continues to inspire and educate the next generation of women in this business with her candidness and desire to connect and collaborate.  She puts ketchup on her pizza, and beans on her toast. I am more than thrilled to introduce to you, my personal inspiration, Zoe Bell. www.pittstonketchup.com Discount Code at checkout: HUNGRYSTUNTGIRL *Music Composed and performed by Colin Bell*
