Would you a) use a thread adapter and affix it in a permanent/semi-permanent fashion, b) purchase a 30 cal can able to accept a 1/2x28 thread pattern, or c) get an aftermarket barrel with a heavier profile that is cut for 5/8x24? Use case is long range plinking and hunting. Barrel length is 24" if that matters. Bradley C - Dear WLS With the recent abatement of the NFA tax, and the further conversation surrounding the complete repeal of the NFA, have any 2A space influencers considered the implication of a full repeal, nation wide? As much as many of us in the 2A sphere hoped for it's demise in the BBB, the State level consequences could be detrimental. Let me explain: In the State of Oregon, and I believe there are twelve other States, with the full repeal of the NFA Federally, it would cost us the ability to own, possess, or purchase NFA items. As, at least here in Oregon, they are only able to be in existence, because the NFA is a de facto registry. At this time, Oregon does not have its own requirement to register firearms, but with the implementation of Measure 114 (still tied up in the courts) and the QUEEN Governor having just signed SB 243, the noose is tightening around the firearms owner's neck. Anyway, it is my belief, that the tax was dropped to zero dollars and the NFA maintained to allow these 13 +/- States the ability to keep those NFA items, as ATF maintains their de facto registry. "Het vertrek van de bewindslieden van NSC maakt nader beraad over de ontstane situatie noodzakelijk," meldde de premier. Met de inmiddels vertrokken bewindslieden van PVV en NSC waren immers zware afspraken gemaakt. Willen nieuwe bewindslieden zich daar wel aan houden? Het beste is nu: een snelle tussenformatie. Na de val van de kabinetten Van Agt II en Balkenende II werd door de informateurs Piet Steenkamp (in 1982) en Ruud Lubbers (in 2006) een volwaardig, missionair kabinet geformeerd dat een heldere, beperkte opdracht kreeg: stel een begroting op en regeer met voldoende steun tot aan de verkiezingen. Dit is bij Geert Wilders' breuk achterwege gelaten en daar betaalt de politiek nu een hoge prijs voor. Voor het buitenlands beleid is een wrakhoutkabinet met een pro-Netanyahu beleid rampzalig. Den Haag isoleert zich - zoals eerder al met de motie-Eerdmans ten aanzien van Europese defensie - nog verder van de belangrijkste partners. Een volgend kabinet moet vertrouwen en respect herwinnen en dat kan jaren kosten. In de campagne zullen NSC en PVV nu een opmerkelijk gelijkgezinde houding innemen. Net als PVV zal NSC willen ontkennen ooit iets van doen te hebben gehad met de Schoof-coalitie. Dat weinig van Omtzigts bewindslieden op de NSC-lijst prijken maakt dat extra aanlokkelijk. Omtzigts thema's en rancune worden ingeruild voor Nicolien van Vroonhovens 'weerbaarheid' en Eddy van Hijums 'bestaanszekerheid'. De PVV trekt intussen de hele ijskast weer open. Bestrijding van vermeende ‘islamisering’ en een ongrondwettelijk verbod op islamitische scholen staan weer bovenaan het program. Wilders volgt weer braaf de fundamentalistische lijn die Viktor Orbán hem verweet te hebben losgelaten. De coalitiebreuk op het Midden-Oostenbeleid nagelt de VVD vast aan BBB en hun zwartwit-opvattingen over Israël. In plaats van los te komen van dat betoog en zo aansluiting te vinden bij het constructieve midden, zit Dilan Yesilgöz alleen maar meer vast aan haar doorgeschoten 'Douwe Bob'-houding. Veel liberalen zijn de wanhoop nabij. Op meer dan 10 à 15 zetels wordt niet meer gerekend.
