This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! Chicago has its fair share of legends — but some stories never made it onto the postcards. Long-time investigator Tony Szabelski has walked the alleys, theaters, and hotel hallways where the city's ghosts still linger. And few places hold as much residual fear as the Iroquois Theater, where a single night of chaos left spirits with nowhere left to run. Then there's the Congress Plaza Hotel — a place so charged with unexplained activity that even seasoned investigators refuse to wander certain floors alone. In this conversation, Tony doesn't just recount history; he brings you into the echo of it — the footsteps that shouldn't exist, the whispers that travel down century-old corridors, and the sense that in Chicago, tragedy doesn't just fade… it settles in. If you've ever wondered what truly haunts the Windy City after dark, this is the doorway. This is Part Two of our conversation. #TheGraveTalks #ChicagoHauntings #CongressPlazaHotel #IroquoisTheater #HauntedChicago #RealGhostStories #ParanormalInvestigation #GhostHistory #WindyCityHauntings #CreepyEncounters Love real ghost stories? November 21, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 53 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field. Alex and I start this show by looking at the Steelers' Thursday injury report and specifically, what the current outlook is for QB Aaron Rodgers, RB Jaylen Warren, and OLB Alex Highsmith. We discuss the contraption that Rodgers wore on his injured left wrist on Thursday and he reportedly looked as a limited practice participant. We move forward from Pittsburgh's injury report heading into Friday to look briefly at the injured players that Chicago is currently dealing with. On Thursday, we once again heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions. We discuss Smith possibly adding a wrinkle to the team's version of the tush push, how he feels about using RB Jaylen Warren and RB Kenneth Gainwell in any situation, and what it would take for rookie RB Kaleb Johnson to get more touches moving forward. As for Austin's Thursday comments, we discuss what he had to say about CB Cory Trice Jr. now being out for the rest of the season. We also talk about what Austin had to say about OLB Nick Herbig and OLB Jack Sawyer. We also go over Austin's thoughts on preparing to defend against Bears QB Caleb Williams on Sunday in Chicago. We welcome Adam Hoge of All City as a first timer to the show on Friday, and he helps us preview the Steelers-Bears game. Hoge has covered the Bears for many seasons, and he certainly knows that team inside and out. We get his thoughts on several things related to the Sunday afternoon game in Chicago and that includes his analysis of Williams and new HC Ben Johnson. Adam fills us in on the Bears' injuries, how CB Jaylon Johnson might be back this week and the impact that could potentially have. We also get his thoughts on Rodgers potentially playing on Sunday against the Bears, a team that he has a lot of history and success against dating back to when he was the longtime quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. Adam talks about the Bears' offense and defense quite a bit in this interview, and we get his not-yet-set-in-stone prediction for the Sunday game at the end of the interview. If not already doing so, make sure to follow Adam on X/Twitter at @adamhoge and make sure to read his work here: https://allchgo.com/author/hogejahnsauthor/. After finishing with Hoge, Alex and I provide our own preview of the Steelers-Bears game. We break down what we are looking for out of each team on both sides of the football Sunday afternoon. Alex and I then give our picks against the spread for the remainder of the Week 12 NFL games provided by show sponsor MyBookie.ag. We also give our final score predictions for the Steelers-Bears game. This 135-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted above and we end this episode by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. SUSPECT AT LARGE FOLLOWING SUBWAY STABBING IN NEW YORK. ICE OPERATIONS CONTINUE AMID LOCAL RESISTANCE.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------HomeFront-Florida: Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick has been indicted by a grand jury for embezzling $5 million of FEMA funding that was distributed due to the Hurricane Milton disaster response.Analyst Comment: As a reminder, Rep. Cherfilus was in office during the infamous Hurricane Milton scandal, which saw FEMA officials ordering their employees to not provide aid to residences that had Trump signs in their front yard. FEMA supervisor Marn'i Washington was fired by FEMA, but was not prosecuted for her crime of violating the Hatch Act.Illinois: Yesterday an arson attack was reported on a Blue Line train, which involved an assailant dousing a woman with a flammable liquid before setting her on fire. The attacker has been identified as Lawrence Reed and was arrested shortly after the attempted murder.Analyst Comment: Reed has a criminal record spanning nearly four decades, which have involved him being arrested and released 72 times, including around a dozen times for felony crimes. Several of these crimes involved arson, but each time he was arrested he was released. In at least one case the judge released him from a psych ward...because he was deemed too dangerous to remain in custody as he would repeatedly and violently assault staff members at the ward. He was released into the general public with an ankle monitor instead. After his arrest for setting this woman on fire, he was brought before Magistrate Judge Laura McNally, with court reporters documenting what happened. Judge McNally told Reed that "When you walked in here, I presumed you to be innocent of these charges". Reed then replied "I'm guilty" before continuing his belligerent behavior in the courtroom.New Jersey: Surveillance footage has come to light pertaining to a mass shooting that was reported in Newark two days ago. Rival gangs conducted a skirmish in the street, and due to the "spray and pray" manner of the engagement, 5x bystanders where shot as well. Two people were killed during the engagement, including a 10-year-old boy.New York: Another subway stabbing took place a few days ago, with the NYPD releasing the photo of the suspect this morning. An unidentified black male slashed a passenger with a sharp object while transiting on the E train. No other details were provided regarding the attack.Kentucky: This afternoon the NTSB released the highly-anticipated preliminary report regarding the fatal crash of UPS Flight 2976 that occurred one month ago. The photos provided in the accident report shed light on what happened; the port-side engine completely ripped away from the wing due to a failure of the pylons holding it to the aircraft. In short, the engine flew itself off the wing due to fatigue and degradation of the mechanisms attaching the engine to the wing.Analyst Comment: Now, we know why the FAA grounded all MD-11 and DC-10 aircraft in the United States immediately after the crash. In just six images, the NTSB told the whole story, strongly indicating that the crash of Flight 2976 bears striking resemblance to the deadliest aviation accident in US history...the crash of American Airlines Flight 191 which crashed in a nearly identical manner while departing Chicago back in 1979. That aircraft was a DC-10, and 273 people were killed during that incident.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: Counter illegal immigration operations continue around the country, as resistance to deportations continues to escalate. Send us a textWhat if the kingdom of God becomes visible not in our theories but in our steps? Dietrich Bonhoeffer's theology reframes discipleship as embodied obedience—showing up in prisons, sharing real mutuality, and trading religious privilege for humble responsibility. In this episode, Bishop Wright has a conversation with The Rev. Dr. Jenny M. McBride, Associate Rector of All Saints' Atlanta and president of the International Bonhoeffer Society. Jenny shares how reading Bonhoeffer at an urban house of hospitality opened a door from evangelical ideas to lived formation. That path led her into prison classrooms where fashion small talk mingled with raw theological questions, and where “helping” gave way to being helped. They discuss Luke 10's sentness, why belief grows when we go where Jesus intends to go, and how visiting the incarcerated unmasks our craving for superiority. Responsibility becomes the antidote to Christian nationalism's power hunger, and repentance becomes a daily practice that forms courage and tenderness. Listen in for the full conversation. The Rev. Dr. Jennifer M. McBride (Ph.D. University of Virginia) is Associate Rector at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Atlanta. Previously she served as an Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Theology and Ethics at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago and held the Board of Regents Endowed Chair in Ethics at Wartburg College in Iowa. After a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Religious Practices and Practical Theology at Emory University, McBride directed a theology certificate program for incarcerated women through Emory's Candler School of Theology.McBride is author of You Shall Not Condemn: A Story of Faith and Advocacy on Death Row (Cascade, 2022), Radical Discipleship: A Liturgical Politics of the Gospel (Fortress, 2017), The Church for the World: A Theology of Public Witness (Oxford University Press, 2011), and is co-editor of Bonhoeffer and King: Their Legacies and Import for Christian Social Thought. In addition to book chapters and scholarly articles, her work has appeared in popular publications like The Christian Century and CNN.com and has been featured in the New York Times.McBride is the recent past president of the International Bonhoeffer Society – English Language Section, an organization made up of scholars, religious leaders, and readers of German pastor-theologian and Nazi-resister, Dietrich Bonhoeffer. She serves as co-editor of the T&T Clark book series, New Studies in Bonhoeffer's Theology and Ethics. She is married to Dr. Thomas Fabisiak, who is the co-executive director of the Georgia Coalition for Higher Ed in Prison and Associate Dean at Life University, where he runs a college degree program for women in Georgia prisons. Support the show Follow us on IG and FB at Bishop Rob Wright.
