Your hosts, Jay Tenenbaum and Seti Gershberg, brings Rod Zabriskie, Managing Partner of Money Insights, to the show to dive deep into the core strategies he practices and teaches his investors to add another layer of profitability to their investing. His path started while in college when he was introduced to the books Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki. Materials from other outside-the-box thinkers opened his eyes to the broad possibilities of placing your destiny in your own hands, particularly by being open-minded to alternative concepts and ideas and not expecting mainstream ways to lead to excellence. How does tax lien investing work? Jay Tenenbaum & Seti Gershberg's guest is Joanne Musa, known as“The Tax Lien Lady.” In this episode, Joanne explains that we don't own our property; the government does. We pay property taxes to the government because we are renting our property. If a homeowner fails to pay their taxes, the government can either sell their property right away or give them more time to pay their taxes. To give them more time to pay, they sell their taxes to investors in a tax lien auction. For the homeowner to get their property back, they need to pay the principal amount and interest to the investor. If you're a beginner tax lien investor, this episode is for you. The show is hosted by Seti Gershberg and Jay Tenenbaum, who own Scottsdale Real Estate Investments and have over 30 years of real estate investment experience. The first part of the conversation focuses on the current market. Before Brion joins them, Seti and Jay talk about how the market is changing through the COVID-19 pandemic, and consider what is to come as the pandemic continues. Brion is able to offer his perspective on the market in his main area of focus, the Southwest, as Seti and Jay can give some more information on the South and the Midwest. In addition to commenting on market trends, Brion discusses his company, Caliber Co.
