Marc hosted Chandrashekar LSP, Managing Director for Zoho Southern Canada, in a wide-ranging conversation about Zoho's transformative impact on businesses, its comprehensive suite of products, and its unique approach to fostering connections with users through events like Zoholics Montreal. The discussion touched on Zoho's product ecosystem, AI innovations, global reach, and how user feedback shapes its roadmap. Zoho's Event Success: Zoholics Montreal Chandrashekar LSP shared the success story of Zoholics Montreal, a user conference that attracted over 750 attendees, including Zoho employees, partners, and customers. The event provided structured learning tracks, one-on-one sessions, and an interactive Experience Center, where participants connected directly with product experts. These events help Zoho gather real-time user feedback, influencing its product roadmap and fostering deeper relationships with its community. Zoho's Product Ecosystem Marc described Zoho as an “operating system for business,” offering tools like CRM, social media management, landing pages, and analytics. Chandrashekar revealed that the average Zoho One user employs 23 apps, with CRM, Analytics, Customer Support, Campaigns, and Accounting being the most popular. He also highlighted Zoho's ability to localize products for regional needs, such as Kenyan and German editions of Zoho Books. Zoho's Approach to AI Zoho's AI strategy emphasizes contextual intelligence tailored to business needs rather than relying solely on large language models (LLMs). Chandrashekar explained how Zoho's AI-driven tools enhance workflows, such as identifying sentiment in customer tickets or optimizing sales outreach timing. Zoho's privacy-first approach ensures that AI learns from a business's unique data without compromising its proprietary information. Marc praised Zoho's unified AI ecosystem for its utility in empowering small businesses. Global Presence and Localization Zoho boasts over 100 million users worldwide, providing insights from diverse markets to shape its product offerings. Chandrashekar highlighted Zoho's localization capabilities, including HR systems and accounting tools adapted for regional requirements like e-invoicing in African and Middle Eastern countries. Data Privacy and Sovereignty Chandrashekar discussed Zoho's commitment to data privacy and sovereignty, sharing plans to expand its independent data centers, including in Canada, to comply with laws like Quebec's Law 25. Unlike competitors that rely on AWS or Azure, Zoho operates its own data centers, reducing risks of cyberattacks and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Customer-Centric Innovation Marc and Chandrashekar explored how user feedback from events like Zoholics and community forums shapes Zoho's product priorities. While some requested features are quickly implemented, others may take years due to the complexity of Zoho's extensive product ecosystem and its focus on strategic integration. Future Goals Zoho's immediate priorities include simplifying business operations, improving compliance with local regulations, expanding global data centers, and enhancing its BI (Business Intelligence) platform. Chandrashekar emphasized Zoho's vision of becoming the ultimate “easy button” for businesses, providing an all-in-one solution for operational needs. The company's digital twin product, Venue Twin, gives organizers virtual access to real-world venues, opening new opportunities for venue owners and operators.  In this conversation, Paul talks about his background in sports - from a team manager of the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball team, to then advising the UK government, the challenges he faced with operational planning for various events, and how that led to the eventual conceptualization of OnePlan. He then talks about the early inception of 3D Digital Twins and how OnePlan partnered with Epic Games to use Unreal Engine for real-world purposes. Paul also discusses their current projects with the L.A. Clippers and their partnership with the Crypto.com Arena, home of the Los Angeles Lakers, which includes the creation of a 3D digital twin of the iconic arena using the software company's Venue Twin technology. The Venue Twin at the Clippers' Experience Center in Downtown Los Angeles enables customers to envision the arena, suites, and surroundings before Intuit Dome opens. In addition to the operational planning benefits, Venue Twin can be used as a sales and marketing tool for advertisers, sponsors, and fans, and enables third-party licensing of official virtual venues as consumer applications for the metaverse open up. Howling for help: Florida woman expanding wolf sanctuary

Wolves are beautiful animals, but if you want to have one as a pet, like the popular show “Game of Thrones,” you need to make sure you meet the minimum requirements. Deanna Deppen, executive director of Shy Wolf Sanctuary Education and Experience Center in Naples, recently talked to Matt Austin and Ginger Gadsden on Florida's Fourth Estate about the challenges she faces when people are not able to care for the wolves they adopt. “Florida actually requires licensing, so you should not have a full wolf without having two and a half acres of land, 500 hours working with them, 10-foot fences and an 8-foot perimeter fence,” Deppen said. Wolves need more space than your house can provide. “In the wild, they can travel up to 120 miles per day, up to 40 miles per hour, and they have needs where they need to stay active.” Wolf dogs, or dogs that are bred with wolves, can also pose unforeseen problems when people need to put them up for adoption. “Shelters won't adopt them out. They'll put them down. Other rescues won't take them—they consider them unadoptable, they just have nowhere else to go,” Deppen said. That's where her sanctuary comes in. She said it has been around for a long time. Now, she is planning and preparing to move to a new 17-acre property. The move will be expensive and the sanctuary is asking people to step in and help sponsor the animals, or even come in and volunteer. To join the wolf pack, click here for more information. Any athlete who holds a professional license and is a PTO Professional member is eligible. The leading athletes share out an end of season bonus pool of $2 million split equally between women and men, with a cool $100,000 going to the top ranked athletes.   “I'm really overwhelmed to be on top of the PTO World Rankings after the challenging Covid years. Although I didn't have the one outstanding race I would have wished for, I was able to be very consistent in my performance throughout the season, thanks to my amazing team behind me. They kept me fit and healthy,” said Haug, who's three counting scores in 2022 included Challenge Roth (131.41 points), Ironman Hawaii (110.20 pts) and the Ironman St. George World Championships (109.56 pts).   “This year we saw some absolutely outstanding performances, for example Daniela at the Ironman Worlds in Utah, Chelsea in Kona or Taylor at the 70.3 Worlds. That inspires me, shows how fantastic our sport is and that if you don't go up a level each year, you'll fall behind.”   “The new PTO Open races give us a unique opportunity to race the best athletes from all distances, which improves the quality of every race and adds the spice everyone needs to perform. The team format of the Collins Cup has also pushed racing to a new level, strengthening camaraderie, team spirit, fair play and tactics.”   Blummenfelt has had an outstanding 12 months, not just in winning the full Ironman World Championships in May and the 70.3 version in October, but also breaking 7 hours in the Sub7 Challenge in June.   His three counting scores included: Iroman Hawaii (128.26 pts), the Ironman St. George World Championships (114.98 pts) and the Ironman 70.3 World Championships (113.14 pts).   “It was a strong year for me winning the Ironman World Championships and 70.3 World Championships in St George among other performances. Finishing top of the 2022 PTO World Rankings is something I'm very proud of and I'll be trying to do the same again in 2023.”   The PTO and an athlete committee has been working on an updated version of the PTO World Rankings system for 2023, that will be announced next month.   New study says Strava kudos motivate you to run more When you are looking for motivation to get out for a run, is Strava getting you out the door? Well, a study out of Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands, says that Strava, the largest online social network for athletes, spurs exercise and gives runners motivation to record an activity. The study, published in the Journal of Social Networks, analyzed Strava profiles to see how runners in the same virtual Strava club influenced each other's running behaviour. Researchers focused on five different Strava clubs in the Netherlands that functioned as an online extension of real-life running clubs, totalling 329 members.   In a pre-study survey, they asked the subjects prime what their motive for using Strava was: 83 per cent expressed it was to log activities; 78 per cent said it was to track their progression; 31 per cent said it was for social interaction with other runners, while 21 per cent was to receive validation for their activity.   Researchers predicted that runners use their peers' behaviour as a yardstick and may intentionally try to imitate peers' behaviours to promote their relative standing or to avoid rejection.   Figure. 3. Development of the mean of running attributes (based on running volume, frequency, and gender) They investigated the recorded data for a year, constructing a longitudinal dataset of networks and behaviour, and discovered that those who receive more kudos were inclined to run more. While running variables differed over time within clubs in Figure 3, no consistent seasonal pattern was found.   Researchers initially thought that athletes who ran more would be the most influential on the app, but it was the opposite; athletes who ran less were more likely to follow the running behaviour of their friends who ran more. According to the study, “Those who received more kudos for their activities, ran more.”   The study also found that many runners change their running behaviour to do more kudos-worthy activities, (i.e., run farther, run longer, chase segments). Athletes who had kudos turned off ran less than those who had kudos enabled.   What's New in the 303:   Specialized buys former Pearl Izumi building LOUISVILLE, Colo. (BRAIN) — Specialized Bicycle Components bought the award-winning office building here previously owned by Pearl Izumi, for $14.9 million.   The company said Thursday that it would use the space for an innovation center.   "We have known for quite some time that we have outgrown our current innovation center in Boulder. This is our best economical option in the area. Our commitment to bring radically innovative bikes, equipment and experiences to riders requires investing in functional, inspiring, and collaborative workspaces for our teammates. We are greatly looking forward to the future of this new innovation center," the company said in a statement to BRAIN.   Pearl Izumi moved into the 55,000-square-foot building in 2013. The custom-built building features locally sourced materials and sustainable features. In 2014 it was honored by the Colorado and Denver chapters of The American Institute of Architects.   Pearl Izumi was owned by Shimano from 2008 until last May, when it was purchased by United Sports Brands, the parent of Nathan, Cutters, and Shock Doctor, among other brands.   In September USB said it was reducing staff and vacating the building.   At the time, Michael Magerman, USB's president and CEO, said the building had been "mostly vacant" since the acquisition because many employees began working from home during the pandemic. Some of the brand's workforce was already dispersed before the pandemic.   "In an effort to maximize efficiencies, USB will move the remaining functions and people to remote work or relocate them from Colorado to USB's California location. USB has already made significant investments into the brand and we intend to invest in and grow the business for many years to come," Magerman said in a statement to BRAIN.   Some Pearl Izumi employees were given the option to relocate to USB's headquarters in Fountain Valley, California, or to work remotely.   Closing: Thanks again for listening in this week.  Please be sure to follow us @303endurance and of course go to iTunes and give us a rating and a comment.  We'd really appreciate it! Stay tuned, train informed, and enjoy the endurance journey!

As you walk past the storefronts at the Boston Design Center, the System 7 showroom doesn't stand out too much from the other design storefronts. However, that reason alone is why it stands out so much, as despite looking like a lighting showroom, it is secretly a technology experience center in disguise. While System 7 still engages in the traditional AV installation (after all it was Lynch's start in the industry) the company has invested heavily in lighting and shading, even hiring multiple design consultants to join the System 7 team. It's all a part of the approach System 7 and its founder and president Gerard Lynch takes when it comes to technology: the design should always be measured by its simplicity, reliability and beauty, not just by bits and bytes.

RFID has been an emerging technology for many years but now with the importance of tracking items and knowing where and what condition an item is in is critical, the time for RFID is now.  Anders shares several valuable new usage models for FRID technology.  He shares stories of how a large retailer came into GS1 and thought their inventory systems were very good.  With only 10 seconds and using RFID, Anders proved to the partner the potential amount of money the partner has lost and the incredibly short payback period for when implementing RFID technology.  Please subscribe to the IBM "KIS Technology podcast” and we sincerely thank you for listening.  Read much more about IBM, our ways of working, and our Cloud offerings here - https://ibm.co/2URU66KWe have also gathered some exciting insights where you pick and choose the ones that fit your needs the best.  Read how you can unleash data and AI for competitive advantage - https://ibm.co/39oc0D3 Manage IT. Mizuno just created their Mizuno Experience Center at Atlanta Braves Sunburst stadium where, among other things, fans can rent a glove for a game and test it for 48 hours. If they like it, their credit card is charged, otherwise they return it free of charge. Brian Cristiano and Rob Cressy dish about why they love this level of fan engagement, especially within the highly targeted audience Mizuno is looking to reach. At the Experience Center fans can also choose from 125 Mizuno bats to demo, play around at a golf swing lab and running lab, a volleyball wall, and cleat wall. Unfortunately, not everything Mizuno did was perfect. One area in which Mizuno failed at is not having a website built out for this and/or having a big social presence. This lack of complete digital execution misses huge opportunities where they could engage their audience, increase their awareness, and create positive brand interactions. In each episode of The Sports Marketing Huddle, CEO of BOLD Worldwide Brian Cristiano, and Founder of Cress Media & Bacon Sports Rob Cressy give a forward-thinking perspective about some of the hottest topics in the world of sports marketing and then give you actionable advice on how you can implement it into your business. Our goal of the podcast is to create the best sports marketing podcast and take The Sports Marketing Huddle up to #1 on iTunes New & Noteworthy. One way you can help support the show is by subscribing to The Sports Marketing Huddle on iTunes and letting your friends who are in the sports and marketing worlds know about it.
