Could something as simple as light exposure be a missing link in chronic illness? In this eye-opening episode of The 1000 Hours Outside Podcast, Ginny Yurich sits down with Meredith Oke, co-founder of the Quantum Biology Collective, to explore how light impacts every system in the body. Meredith shares her personal journey of battling chronic fatigue and explains why artificial light, screen exposure, and disrupted circadian rhythms may be silently contributing to anxiety, depression, digestive issues, and even autoimmune conditions. With research pointing to light as a key regulator of health—from mitochondria function to hormone balance—this conversation sheds light (literally!) on practical ways to improve well-being. Meredith offers simple, science-backed strategies to optimize your family's exposure to natural light and protect against the harmful effects of modern lighting. Meredith Oke's calling is to spread the knowledge of the emerging science of quantum biology and the pivotal role of light to health. This devotion emerged in her late thirties, when she suffered from chronic fatigue. (Or maybe it was actually seeded in her late twenties, when she had a spiritual awakening, which later helped her to step up.) “I was unwell. I felt tired all the time. Doctors didn't have any answers. I tried everything; acupuncture. diets. fitness stuff. Some of it helped. but I wasn't feeling normal”, Meredith says. In the ‘gift of desperation' moment, she remembered an interview she had heard with an expert on circadian rhythm, the notion that a balance between light and dark is conducive to health. Meredith re-listened and had an epiphany. It had a hugely positive impact. She knew she wanted to create a structure for this info to be widely dispersed. “It's now uncontroversial to say that circadian biology controls and affects almost every aspect of our health”, she says. This has become ever more important as our lighting environment has changed. With artificial light 24/7, laptops, tablets and phones, we have inadvertently contributed to the chronic health problems in the industrialized world. “We're telling our body that it's noon in June when it's 8 pm in January.” “The light controls all of our hormone production. Our body is a symphony and light is the conductor”, says Meredith. What happens if we screw up our circadian rhythm? In the short term our energy is low, we feel tired and grumpy, and our digestion is off. “In the long term the disruption leads to alzheimer's, parkinson's, cancer and all sorts of diseases.” We have also more or less been lied to about the sun. It is not our enemy. Being exposed to sunlight has all sorts of beneficial effects, and we have a natural understanding of how to get healthy amounts of it. Quantum biology is at the intersection of quantum physics and biology. Meredith highlights the book “Life on the Edge – The Coming of Age of Quantum Biology” by Jim Al-Khalil and Johnjoe McFadden. The weird thing about the current dogma in mainstream science is that quantum effects cannot happen within living systems. Al-Khalil and McFadden challenged that constrained idea and did research that confirmed they were right. Realizing there is a quantum aspect to life has huge practical consequences for human health. “The body is a liquid crystal matrix, filled with fourth phase water that acts as a quantum communication medium”, says Meredith. Does Western medicine do more harm than good? “It does more good in acute situations, like accidents or major infections. But to maintain or regain optimal health, Western medicine does more harm. We can't outsource our health to our doctors.” Like many other spiritually oriented people, Meredith Oke is convinced we live in crucial times. “I think health care is in for a major shakeup. I already see it in the US.” The media and the education system will also go through big changes, Meredith thinks. When times are shaky, it is important to have like minded people close – one's ‘soul family', perhaps. “We have to invest in connections with other humans that we feel safe and free and happy to talk to – to stay aware and taking total responsibility for our experiences.” Quantum Biology Collective podcast and membership Meredith on Linkedin Meredith on Instagram
“There are a lot of changes in the air,“ says Sarah Kleiner, founder of Sarah Kleiner Wellness on a recent episode of her Evolving Wellness podcast where she welcomed guest Meredith Oke. Throughout this episode, which Meredith shares with the Quantum Biology Collective podcast audience, the two discuss the rapid downfall of the traditional medical paradigm. Sarah describes being at the forefront of this movement beginning when her daughter suffered a brain injury resulting from a traditional medical procedure, and the mixed feelings she has now that so much of what she was criticized for is being taken seriously in the wider culture. The two women explain how we can converse with people who are resistant, close-minded, and even hostile toward the changes taking place. Listen in on today's discussion to learn why Meredith says Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is the only politician to still have a soul. Quotes “Right now, in particular, like you said, there's a lot of change in the air. People are really clinging to old behaviors, old beliefs. They're more committed to…their own bullshit, and I don't think there's much we can do. I think it's more attraction than promotion.” (7:26 | Sarah Kleiner) “When I realized that this system had damaged my child almost irreparably…when I had to come to the realization that it was something that I had done because I thought I was supposed to do that, I struggled with guilt, I struggled with severe depression—...and when people have to come through that realization that they've been in this system and they've been raising their kids and their families in this certain paradigm, they have to reckon with that part of themselves.” (22:23 | Sarah Kleiner) “This is what it means to be alive, to be human and a grownup. We look at uncomfortable things and figure it out, move forward and cultivate our discernment… if we shut down every time we feel that discomfort…we are not fully living.” (32:03 | Meredith Oke) TOP 10 QBC Downloads of 2024 1 EP 074: Brilliant Inventors Part II: Portable Phototherapy To Harness Our Body's Own Light 2 EP 066: Light & Digestion: How Regulated Circadian Rhythms Heal The Gut 3 EP 063: Why Light Matters So Much 4 EP 068: How Light And Movement Shape Our Brains 5 EP 064: The Incredible Quantum Story Of Our Eyes And Mouth 6 EP 061: The Infrared Deficiency Epidemic & Effective Red Light Therapy with Kelly Bento 7 EP 059: From Liquid Crystal to Ether: Next Level Quantum Biology with Carrie Bennett 8 EP 069: Brilliant Inventors #1: Sound As The Origin Of Light and Life? 9 EP 076: Sun Maxxing And The Reality of Skin Cancer Research 10 EP 078: The ICU Doctor Who Prescribes Sunlight As Medicine Links Connect with Sarah Kleiner https://www.sarahkleinerwellness.com MyCircadianApp - NEW - you need a code to order, use: QBCAPP Google Play Store link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mycircadian.app&pcampaignid=web_share Apple Store link - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mycircadianapp/id6538168795 Website https://mycircadianapp.com Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter the code: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses **If you're in the US and have a Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) BonCharge products are an eligible expense** To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“Fascia is the interface of spirit animating the pattern of the matter of us,” says Joanne Avison, who returns to the Quantum Biology Collective podcast to explain that, despite what we've been taught, the body is not bio-mechanical and made up of three layers, but a series of spiral designs—including the heart that is the first thing to appear at conception and shape the unique individuals that we all are. We are, explains Joanne—movement specialist and practitioner and bestselling author on the topic of fascia and fascia anatomy—a liquid crystal matrix that is connected to and interacts with the larger liquid crystal matrix around us. Thinking of our bodies this way means debunking the benefits of popular methods and practices—such as stretching and yoga. Joanne explains how doing subtle micro-movements and their “5 Rs,” help us to tune into our bodies intelligence and learn to listen and respond. She shares how this bodywork helped her father, her clients and herself to rebound from major injury and illness, and why the success of healing in body work is largely about matching frequencies. Join today's discussion to learn why the last thing we should be looking for is alignment and stability, and how to successfully navigate this new paradigm into which we've entered. Quotes “That we can function as parts, work out those parts, put those parts together and then build a human—sorry, it doesn't work like that. You self-organize as an original, completely unique, unicellular being and you self-organize into the architect that's going to express itself as the architect. Go figure. You literally self-organize the architecture in order to express yourself as the architect expressing the architect.” (8:23 | Joanne Avison) “It leaves me with the feeling that fascia is the interface. Fascia is the interface of spirit animating the pattern of the matter of us.” (22:18 | Joanne Avison) “Because it's fluid, your body is continually adjusting around it so your body is clocking that as movement. Because we're liquid crystal, we're not machines that need giant fake movements. I don't want my joints oiled, I want my joints reminded that they're a liquid crystal matrix.” (30:47 | Meredith Oke and Joanne Avison) “This liquid crystal talks and it loves nothing more than to tell you its story. Usually, we don't listen and so it shouts and we call that pain. And it says, ‘Psst! I hurt! Pay attention!'” (33:02 | Joanne Avison) “That's who we are. We're actually dynamic instability. When I hear people talking about their training for alignment and instability, I walk away…We're not stable and we're not aligned and we're not designed to be. We're designed to walk on rough terrain that changes and adapt accordingly.” (41:59 | Joanne Avison) Links Connect with Joanne Avison: joanneavison.com https://www.youtube.com/@joanne.avison Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter the code: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses **If you're in the US and have a Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) BonCharge products are an eligible expense** To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

“Lyme keeps you in a metabolic state of winter,” says Timothy Hammond of Lyme disease, which host Meredith Oke describes as the “apex predator of our time.” While working as an intelligence analyst for the military as well as major organizations and firms, Timothy developed a debilitating case of Lyme. After both pharmaceutical and naturopathic modalities failed to treat it and destroyed his microbiome, he set out to understand the environmental factors–namely light, water and magnetism—which are so crucial to our health and healing. On today's episode of the Quantum Biology Collective podcast, Timothy explains why the answer lay not at the biochemical level but at the biophysical level. He shares his four pillars to achieving cellular coherence, why the oft-maligned reactive oxygen species are essential to our health, and how foreign EMFs have the same effects as Lyme. He also shares how we can guard ourselves against media manipulation and navigate the series of conflicting narratives all around us. Learn how Timothy is helping others to optimize their quantum health with his company Regenerint and how to access complimentary materials. Quotes “Any centralized system is ultimately vulnerable to corruption because of these single points of failure. In the quantum biology space, one of the beauties of it is that this is decentralized. You don't need to go through any centralized authority or intermediary to go out and reconnect with nature and experience the healing benefits of that.” (24:49 | Timothy Hammond) “I think the isolation from society is part of the worst aspect of any chronic illness.” (35:25 | Timothy Hammond) “It was the same error of thinking in that instead of throwing tons and tons of pharmaceutical medications at my body, they were throwing tons and tons of herbs and supplements…it's the same mentality of something from the outside having to be inserted in rather than examining what environmental conditions are needed to activate the body's innate healing capacity and innate healing intelligence.” (36:32 | Timothy Hammond) “These biochemical models, which involved the pharmaceutical approach, the allopathic approach, the naturopathic approach, were all working on the level of biochemistry…so this connection with nature led me to explore biophysics, which is a more fundamental layer upon which biochemistry is built…it doesn't matter how hard you're working on the biochemical piece. If your light, water, and magnetism environmental inputs are wrong, you're not going to have the success you're looking for.” (38:48 | Timothy Hammond) Links Connect with Timothy Hammond: Website: regenerint.com Full bio: www.timothyghammond.com Socials: @regenerint on Instagram, X, and Facebook Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses **If you're in the US and have a Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) BonCharge products are an eligible expense** To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“We're first and foremost energy beings,” says today's guest Deanna Won, who, after a stunning career working as a scientist and in a leadership capacity for the U.S. military took her all over the world, found herself on the brink of death from a rare and aggressive form of ovarian cancer. On today's episode of the Quantum Biology Collective podcast, she shares her incredible story of bringing herself back not only from cancer but in many ways healthier and stronger than she was before. She talks to host Meredith Oke about what her experience taught her about the miraculous design of the human body, why she was adamant about refusing chemotherapy even when doctors said it was her only hope, and the peculiar message she received that ultimately saved her life. Deanna reflects on the amount of circadian light disruption her job caused her and how it affected her mentally and physically. While many people try to treat or prevent disease—which is essentially light incoherence within the body—the emotional and spiritual components are far more important, she argues. She shares a controversial idea about the connection between disease and certain spiritual entities. Having started her career working, essentially, with liquid crystal, Deanna shares how humans, with our fascia and connective tissue are, essentially liquid crystal as well. In fact, scientifically, we are like gemstones, made to radiate light. Quotes: “It didn't make logical sense to me just looking at it. Why would you put poisons into a body that's already having immune system issues? It's so hard on the body. I really believe that any therapy should do no harm to the body and its systems.” (37:53 | Deanna Won) “You learn how resilient our human bodies are when you go through experiences like that. It's such a marvel. I just believe we have so much wisdom designed in our bodies.” (50:00 | Deanna Won) “When our bodies, which are designed to actually radiate coherent light, when we get sick or when something is not quite right within an organ or whatever system, we begin to emit incoherent light. And so, in order to correct that, we don't correct it with food necessarily—yes, there are electrons in there—but we have to go back to the source.” (1:06:15 | Deanna Won) “People are just so on this whole diet thing, and it doesn't matter how healthy the food you're eating if you have toxic thoughts or if you have unresolved traumas and past conflicts that have not been resolved.” (1:10:34 | Deanna Won) Links Connect with Deanna Won: Website: https://deannawon.com Socials: https://www.youtube.com/@DeannaWon https://www.facebook.com/deanna.won/ https://www.instagram.com/deannawon/ https://m.youtube.com/c/DeannaWon https://www.facebook.com/deanna.won/ https://www.linkedin.com/mwlite/in/deannawon https://www.instagram.com/deannawon/ Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter the code: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses **If you're in the US and have a Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) BonCharge products are an eligible expense** To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“It's really important to think about the small choices that one is making every day from the mind and heart space and realize how much our thoughts are affecting our biology,” says today's guest Heather Crimson, who joins the Quantum Biology Collective podcast to discuss the largely overlooked connection between mental health and mitochondrial health. In her 20-year practice as a therapist and through her own journey of healing from early childhood trauma, Heather has come to realize the damage that trauma inflicts upon our cells, causing inflammation and a resulting cast of physical issues, which, in turn, fuel our negative thoughts and emotions. On today's episode, she talks about reaching outside of contemporary psychology's biochemical model to address clients' issues at the cellular level and, ultimately, make therapy more effective. Addressing mitochondrial damage not only enhances traditional therapy practices, but reaches past the limits of merely talking out the problem. When we listen to our body's needs—the basis of which is aligning with circadian light—we align with our truest selves. Heather discusses the practice of myofascial release, which not only clears out old trauma but allows space for new, healthier connections going forward. Contrary to popular belief, healing can be quick, easy, and even fun. Join today's discussion with Heather and host Meredith Oke to learn more. Quotes: “When I started improving my circadian rhythm and I started to feel stronger, then my emotions would turn around. It's like my emotions tend toward the more neutral and positive, whereas when your body feels bad, you don't have energy. The voltage is so low, no wonder your emotions and your thoughts—they're awful!” (12:53 | Heather Crimson) “I think the main paradigm shift needs to be a few things: trusting our bodies and how resilient they are, that our bodies don't make mistakes, they're designed to heal. Understanding our bio-electric nature, we are intimately tied to the natural environment and we are a part of that ecosystem…it all ties together” (25:18 | Heather Crimson) “It's really important to think about all the small choices that one is making every day, especially from the mind and heart space. I think we can obsess about the physiological and not realize how much our thoughts, the nature of our thoughts and the emotional home that we live in is affecting our biology.” (26:07 | Heather Crimson) “Psychology Today have been talking about mitochondria being a key factor in mental health since 2017, but they're still in the biochemical model and, ‘Oh, what drugs can we make to help our mitochondria,' and you see that a lot when you start to do the research.” (31:03 | Heather Crimson) “Fascia, as we know, is key insofar as our bodies' holding energetic imprints and also how it's affecting our body's ability to do quantum communication.” (47:25 | Heather Crimson) Links Connect with Heather Crimson: www.enlightenedmood.com https://www.instagram.com/heathercrimson/ https://www.facebook.com/AskHeatherCrimson https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_weMceacpDjpBttaBCvVxg Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter the code: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses **If you're in the US and have a Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) BonCharge products are an eligible expense** To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“I genuinely don't believe that the natural state of humanity is to hurt just because we are getting older,” says today's guest Dr. Eric Novack, orthopedic surgeon. Yet, it's the sharp increase of incidents of musculoskeletal issues in increasingly younger populations that he is dedicated to understanding, and he shares his findings with host Meredith Oke on today's episode of the Quantum Biology Collective podcast. More and more kids are, in an effort to make themselves look more viable to college admissions' officers, enrolled in often multiple sports all year-round thus burning out their bodies, in addition being bombarded with blue light, non-native EMFs, lack of circadian lighting and increasingly poor-quality food. Throughout the discussion, Dr. Novack explains how inflammation is formed in, and ultimately affects, the body and contributes to chronic illness. He warns of the doctors' incentives and motivations, and the limitations of their advice when they perpetuate the outdated paradigm that human beings are merely mechanical beings. He emphasizes the power of the mind to heal the body and the importance of doing our own research and self-advocacy. Join us to learn how pharmaceutical companies use the power of the placebo effect against consumers and how we can begin to give our bodies the right inputs in order to receive their best output. Quotes: “I genuinely don't believe that the natural state of humanity is to hurt just because we're getting older…that is highly unsatisfying and, I don't think, fair or correct, because that's not what we're meant to do.” (6:49 | Dr. Eric Novack) “The optimal state involves getting information from the sun, reproducing it inside and also our own electrical signals. So, when that goes out of balance, that eventually—sometimes fast, or sometimes slower—creates chaos, and that chaos is what is called inflammation. That's the easy way to think of it. And the primary—not the only—but the primary conductor that connects all of these signals and what happens in the body is what happens in our mitochondria. So mitochondrial chaos is the result of inflammation.” (19:30 | Dr. Eric Novack) “So, Number 1 [teenagers] are not getting their morning sun, or sun throughout the day... Then they're getting basically a poison, to a certain degree, of these non-native EMFs from their Bluetooth headphones and their Wifi routers and their iPad up against their face, and all these other devices that they have up against their body that are also impairing, essentially, energy maintenance, homeostasis and production.” (33:37 | Dr. Eric Novack) “Diet contributes as well. The truth is that, I do think that the crap food that we ate, that I ate, 45-50 years ago, is actually not as bad as the crap food people are eating today. The food is worse and the environment we're eating it in is worse, and we're getting less sunlight.” (37:43 | Dr. Eric Novack and Meredith Oke) Links Connect with Dr Eric Novack: www.orthoarizona.org/physicians/eric-novack/ Twitter / X: @eric_novack Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter the code: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses **If you're in the US and have a Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) BonCharge products are an eligible expense** To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“If you don't create your reality, your surroundings are going to create it for you, whether you like it or not,” says today's guest Rachel Maurice, MD, on the Quantum Biology Collective podcast. Dr. Maurice discusses navigating personal and professional paradigm shifts, the power of the subconscious mind, and breaking out of the cult of medicine. After decades as an anesthesiologist at a leading hospital in British Columbia, Canada, the pandemic prompted her to question the traditional medical system. Inspired by Dr. Joe Dispenza's work, she realized our potential to control our circumstances and explore possibilities beyond the status quo. In today's episode, Dr. Maurice and host Meredith Oke delve into how conditioning keeps us in a state of fear. They discuss Jason Christoff's work and the absorbency of the subconscious mind compared to the conscious mind, emphasizing the importance of cleaning up our systems to access our subconscious power. Tune in to hear Dr. Maurice share a story about a former patient that illustrates the possibilities beyond the limitations of our five senses. Quotes “Dr. Jack Kruse talks a lot about that, just how things have been designed and these protocols that are passed down from the people who make them and you just follow these protocols. That's, in a sense, how evidence-based medicine was born…as opposed to doing individual-based medicine.” (22:26 | Rachel Maurice, MD) “Upon working through Joe Dispenza's work, my whole outlook on life changed, and instead of focusing on a lot of fear and potential catastrophes that could happen… I really started to open myself to the possibilities that could happen and realize that I could make those possibilities happen, and that's what started happening in my life.” (29:00 | Rachel Maurice, MD) “The more fear you're in—and I think a lot of people can understand and see what comes out of the media, what's on the news, what's in our entertainment, who we surround ourselves with—that really helps shape how we see the world and actually how our physiology is run. So, the best way to empower yourself is to clean yourself up—clean up your mind, clean up your body, clean up your emotions.” (42:21 | Dr. Rachel Maurice) “A lot of people are really still stuck in wanting to go to the doctor, wanting them to give them something. They really want something to take, and that's really conditioning. And some external authority figure to diagnose…we want that certainty and that finality and give me the things that's going to make this better.” (50:52 | Rachel Maurice, MD and Meredith Oke) Links Connect with Rachel Maurice, MD: To work with Rachel as a client: rachelmauricemd.com To join Rachel's team as a Lifewave patch distributor: https://www.lifewave.com/rachelmaurice/enrollment/packs Instagram: @rachel_maurice_md FB: Rachel Maurice To purchase Lifewave X39 patches retail: lifewave.com/qbcpodcast Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter the code: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses **If you're in the US and have a Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) BonCharge products are an eligible expense** To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

“We're sort of becoming the AA of the digital world,” says today's guest Andrew Laubacher, executive director of the new nonprofit Humanality. The organization helps college students redefine their relationship with technology, encouraging intentional use and control rather than being controlled by it. Students participate in various levels of “detox,” including reducing screen time, trading smartphones for “dummy” phones, and deleting social media accounts. Andrew knows the struggle firsthand. As a touring musician, he was constantly on social media to promote his band and gigs, leading to a smartphone addiction. After removing himself from social media, he experienced numerous benefits, such as an increased attention span, deepened relationships, and an enhanced capacity for learning. Humanality is not anti-technology. Instead, it aims to help young people realize their true selves, free from the need for social validation, novelty, and positive feedback that devices exploit, while fostering real-world interpersonal relationships. In today's episode of The Quantum Biology Collective podcast, Andrew and host Meredith Oke discuss the natural world as our portal to God's grace and why more adults should incorporate play into their lives. Quotes “I just started to notice in myself, over the year, man, I was on this way too much. I was way too concerned with myself. It was making me really anxious because I was literally able to see everything happening in the world all at once, and I really do believe the human person was not designed to experience an attribute of God, which is namely His omnipresence. He is the only one that has the capacity to be able to handle that power, but I had it in the palm of my hand.” (9:52 | Andrew Laubacher) “Studying the minds behind these designs, they really weren't well-intentioned and they weren't really thinking of our well-being. They were thinking of our attention and, really, monetizing it.” (14:09 | Andrew Laubacher) “I do believe people are waking up to the deleterious effects of online life. And really how we believe at Humanality that engaging reality is worth it, and that being a human person, in person, while utilizing the good of technology is more optimal.” (15:46 | Andrew Laubacher) “There's sort of a biological mismatch we're in right now, where pretty much all the insta-ficatation of everything…and I honestly enjoy a lot of them, but they're also, largely, not what our biology was designed for and making us sick. So, it's this really weird experience where the convenience is amazing but it's kind of also killing us.” (24:20 | Andrew Laubacher) Links Connect with Andrew Laubacher: www.humanality.org Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter the code: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses **If you're in the US and have a Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) BonCharge products are an eligible expense** To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“Plants heal themselves; they are their own doctors,” explains Amber Hargroder, a quantum herbalist and listener favorite. She returns to the Quantum Biology Collective podcast to discuss how plants offer the same healing to us by behaving in the body as they do in response to environmental stress. In our modern world, including contemporary science and medicine, we speak in logos, or logic, whereas herbalists speak in “phusis,” the language of nature, metaphor, and dreams. They let nature speak for itself from its experience. Amber talks to host Meredith Oke about how barriers in language, culture, and socio-economic class have historically prevented people from embracing the healing properties of the natural world. She exposes the flaws in scientific studies that deem plants ineffectual and discusses how advances in technology are pushing us to rediscover our humanity and our relationship with the earth. Tune in for another engaging conversation with Amber as she explains how lies are embedded in our language and reveals the true, surprising origins of the Santa Claus tale. Quotes “Whatever environment that a plant is growing in, if it's an environment that has a certain type of stress, the plant creates its own medicine to deal with that stress, and then we use that plant to also heal a similar stress.” (4:28 | Amber Hargroder) “When you look at a traditional allopathic doctor today, more and more—there are outliers of course—but more and more you're looking at patients as being a machine. They're all widgets; they're all the same. ‘I will give you this pill because this is the result that we get in the study and it's uniform,' whereas an herbalist is healing as an individual with an individual.” (10:49 | Amber Hargroder) “Phusis is observation versus an argument. It's not linear. Nature is not linear. Spirituality is not linear. Healing is not linear.” (15:21 | Amber Hargroder) “I think this is perhaps why people are starting to get more interested in herbalism and healing with sunlight and water and all these things, is because we're trying to redefine what it means to be human. And a big part of that is phusis— it is the dream world, it is the visionary state, it is your intuition, which a computer doesn't have.” (25:51 | Amber Hargroder) “We have to get back into the body, and I think plants help you do that. Plants when you sit with them and you're aware while you're drinking them they help you, not only understand the plant and the embodiment of the plant, the essence of it, but the essence of yourself.” (1:09:37 | Amber Hargroder) Links Connect with Amber Hargroder: Website: www.amberhargroder.com Instagram: www.instagram.com/amberhargroder Newsletter: https://www.amberhargrodernewsletter.com/signup Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter the code: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses **If you're in the US and have a Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) BonCharge products are an eligible expense** To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“Our eyes are hormone-making organs,” says optometrist and integrative health coach Dr. Valerie Giangrande, and for most of us, this is nothing short of a revelation. Starting with the first strains of sunrise, the eyes take in light, send signals to our internal clock to release hormones in their intended order, so that those hormones work toward our ultimate health and healing. On today's episode of The Quantum Biology Collective, Dr. Valerie talks with host Meredith Oke about this fascinating and complex process and how extensively the eyes influence the rest of the body. In turn, the state of the body is often communicated through the eyes. Dry eyes, for example, can be a symptom of hydration deep at the cellular level. Dr. Valerie explains how contrary to popular belief, it is not too much sunlight but often lack thereof that accounts for common degenerative eye issues such as cataracts. Unfortunately, so many of us spend all day looking at screens which emit a blue light that signals to the body that it's perpetually 12:00 pm. When we do go outside, we block light from our eyes by wearing sunglasses and even glasses and contacts. Dr. Valerie reveals what we can do to eliminate daily barriers to sunlight. Eyes are the windows to the soul and, as it turns out, to the body. Tune in to this eye-opening conversation to learn how you can optimize your daily light intake. Quotes “We're not just meant to see with our eyes, we have a lot of cells in our eyes that are actually waiting for specific signals of light.” (8:53 | Dr. Valerie Giangrande) “Just imagine what happens to our bodies when we're blocking that signal. We're not making hormones, and it's controlling the entire body, really. And we can make some of it in our skin but even our skin, most people aren't exposed to the sun, with our skin, either, but it's really our eyes that are the connection, it connects our light to our bodies and helps us work. It's the way we're designed to be.” (13:37 | Dr. Valerie Giangrande) “What I love about the eyes is that they are a window into the body, in the sense that everything is connected. The eyes are an extension of the skin, they have mucus membranes, there's nerve tissue, it's brain tissue, it's cardiovascular tissue, it's lymph tissue. It's everything altogether.” (18:04 | Dr. Valerie Giangrande) “And even if we're in the shade, we're still getting the benefit of that sunshine. You don't need direct—when I say get the sun, I'm not saying stare at the sun…the sun is coming in at an angle and hitting us down here. So staring at it doesn't work as well as just being outside because it has to hit you on an angle anyway, so that's how we're designed, just to be outside.” (38:01 | Dr. Valerie Giangrande) Links Connect with Dr. Valerie Giangrande: YouTube: Quantum Eye Doc Instagram: @QuantumEyeDoc Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter the code: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses **If you're in the US and have a Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) BonCharge products are an eligible expense** To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv For more information about booking with Valerie leave your email here. “We blame ourselves when these tools are actually mismatched for us,” says Anjan Katta, founder of the Daylight Computer company, which has made the first computer that is reverse-engineered to be good for us—or at least not harmful to our biology the way current models are. On today's episode of The Quantum Biology Collective podcast, he explains to host Meredith Oke just how his model works differently, eliminating blue light and flicker. He explains what happens when a normal laptop flickers, how it disrupts our circadian rhythm and affects our brain in a way that's similar to motion sickness, though we don't notice it until it becomes a major problem. Devices and screens, in their current state, are not only biological mismatches, but psychological ones as well, argues Anjan. He explains how living with ADHD led him to create the Daylight Computer, his plans for similar software and devices, and how technology could be a major tool to promote empathy and understanding. Join today's episode to learn how Daylight Computers will teach us how to forgive ourselves and how we can reclaim our sacred spaces. Quotes “I met the guy who invented the LCD screen… and he said, ‘If you told me that my grandkid would be spending six hours a day looking at one of these, I would have designed it differently.” (5:12 | Anjan Katta) “It's the humility of saying ‘Let's not start from Star Trek and Star Wars and from little boy fantasy and make something and then say, ‘Oops! We ruined everybody's health.' Let's start with health. Let's start with deep, empirical principles of nature. And then if the product is not as fantastical as you need it to be, that's OK, because at least we didn't hurt people. We didn't undermine their integrity and their sovereignty and their core, core being. And then we can try to make fantastical things over time.” (9:42 | Anjan Katta) “We've got to stop being so hard on ourselves because, yes, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, yeah it's going to be hard on itself. And to me, technology should be like, ‘Oh, you're a fish. Let's give you a river.' And that's kind of what motivated me. I'm a fish. Stop making me feel like an idiot by trying to get me to climb trees. What's a computer that fits me, that fits a fish, that's a river?” (34:18 | Anjan Katta) “We've removed all sacred spaces in society, including the bedrooms, by bringing these noisy, impolite, intrusive, bad-for-our-health, addictive portals. And it takes the meaning out of everything because everything is just the same.” (36:54 | Anjan Katta and Meredith One) Links Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter the code: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses **If you're in the US and have a Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) BonCharge products are an eligible expense** To order a limited beta version of the Daylight tablet, go to: https://daylightcomputer.com Password: DAYLIGHT Connect with Anjan Katta: https://twitter.com/AnjanKatta https://twitter.com/daylightco Instagram: @daylightco To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

“We are grace incarnate,” says today's guest, Joanne Avison, movement and manual therapy practitioner and author of “Yoga, Fascia, Anatomy and Movement.” Unfortunately, as Joanne explains that beginning with Rene Descartes, the so-called founder of modern science, we have learned to separate our physical selves from our spiritual selves, when in fact, we're never decoupled. On this episode of The Quantum Biology Collective podcast, the body work community needs to bridge the chasm with updated language that recognizes we are not assembled like machines but formed fully in our earliest days, and continue to grow, or unfold, throughout our lives. Just as Copernicus once introduced the idea that the sun is the center of the universe, Joanne suggests that our development forms from the heart first. In discussion with host Meredith Oke, she explains that, like stringed instruments, we grow under pressure and emit sound, as well as light and love. Hear her explain why our fascia is like the dark matter we carry around inside of us. When it comes to treating the body we tend to over-intervene and over-outsource rather than allowing time and space. Join today's discussion to hear how, through her own injury and illness, Joanne learned to listen to and learn from her body, and discover more about the universe as a result. Quotes “We have a chasm between the world of the being and the world of the body…we've reduced the body down to the biomechanical sum of its anatomical parts, its chemical reactions, of stuff, the chemistry of its stuff, and everything was reduced so that it could be understood.” (10:08 | Joanne Avison) “The word ‘hu' in ‘human' comes from an ancient name for the divine. So, human actually means ‘divine man.'” (14:41 | Joanne Avison) “We are basically heart-centered. And that's about as popular as Copernicus' idea that we're helix-centric.” (20:49 | Joanne Avison) “What we're learning now is that the entire body is actually variations on the theme of a specialized connective tissue because our baseline is completely connected. And if you talk to John Sharkey at length, he talks about the fascia as the black matter of the form, the inner cosmos. So, black matter to the outer cosmos is fascia to the inner cosmos.” (22:39 | Joanne Avison) “We're already grace incarnate. That beautiful unicellular version of you has everything it needs to become you. It doesn't go to school to learn how to be an embryo. There's not an acorn out there that can spell ‘oak tree.' Yet, everything needed to form the oak tree is in the acorn.” (27:51 | Joanne Avison) “I think the fascia is a matrix of love, light, and sound in the body. And that's a scientific statement as well as a spiritual one.” (38:54 | Joanne Avison) “When you come from it as a tissue of love, light, and sound, and you start becoming your own fascia whisperer, you can literally tune into the movement of what I call this ‘magical inner awareness,' and you learn to see what it's saying to you, you learn to hear what it's saying to you.” (58:51 | Joanne Avison) Links Connect with Joanne Avison: Website joanneavison.com myofascialmagic.com Socials Follow on Instagram & Facebook @joanneavison Joanne Avison's Books: Author of Yoga Fascia Anatomy & Movement Author of Myofascial Magic in Action Bon Charge Discount Code: at checkout enter the code: QBC to receive 15% off https://us.boncharge.com/collections/blue-light-blocking-glasses To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“Think of radio frequency radiation as just a sort of invisible light,” says today's guest Nick Pineault, author of the best-selling book “The Non-Tinfoil Guide to EMFs.” Just as the toxic light emitted from our laptops and cellphones are disrupting our biology at the mitochondrial level, the WiFi connecting us to those same devices sends out electromagnetic field (EMF) frequencies that send similarly confusing messages to our cells, many of which travel even deeper than light. On today's episode of The Quantum Biology Collective podcast, Nick explains the damaging effects of this radiation from inhibiting the body's ability to produce energy to ultimately diseases like cancer. For those with heightened electro-sensitivity, it only takes a fraction of the exposure most of us experience on a daily basis. Luckily, there are many steps we can take to mitigate and reduce our exposure. Join the discussion to learn how you can shield your home, workspace, and body from harm. Quotes: “You have voltage going around you in the form of WiFi and it's completely random, it's at frequencies that have never been seen before and then the intensities vary in time, and the pulsation is all over the place. So, these signals are completely foreign to the body.” (10:23 | Nick Pineault) “Our electrical environment now is ever-changing by the second, so we never fully adapt. And I think that's part of the problem of why it's so pernicious and why we're seeing effects that are short and long term. It becomes almost like a weight that people carry on their shoulders. If you live in a city, or you're always exposed to your devices, maybe it's fine for a certain period of time but now it's been decades that we've been exposed to this wireless.” (14:48 | Nick Pineault) “So you had a technology executive get appointed to head the body that's meant to keep us safe from technology companies. Yes, all of the top directors are industry people, ex-executives at Verizon and these top wireless companies, or who represent the [Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association] CTIA, which is the front group, the lobbying group for the industry. So the conflict of interest—it's not even a conflict of interest, it's complete capture by the agency.” (29:37 | Meredith Oke and Nick Pineault) “All we can do is try to minimize exposure as much as we can. That would be the message. And if it means you start with one action step, that's good enough, but over time you get better.” (48:33| Nick Pineault) “Think about the fact that certain of your body parts can also perceive that radio frequency radiation as light.” (56:42 | Nick Pineault) Links EMF Hazards Summit 2024: The Hidden Epidemic of Electro-Sensitivity: Starts April 11 Register here: https://NGMdiainc.ontralink.com/t?orid=153258&opid=18 To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollecitve Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“You're just going to have to live with it.” This is the response, says today's guest Thomas Van Doorn, medical professionals give to the nearly 11 million citizens suffering from chronic disease in his native Netherlands. This was the advice given to Thomas's disabled sister, before he began to incorporate elements of quantum biology into her treatment. Thankfully, she began enjoying remarkable results. While a tennis player at the national level, Thomas was looking to develop a protocol that would prevent injury and enhance performance, and the usual course of supplements, diet and physical therapy weren't working. He began devouring the works of Dr. Jack Kruse and became convinced that, as photoelectric beings, like everything else in nature, our healing starts at the atomic level. Soon, he formed a clinic with like minded individuals from Dr. Kruse's community. There, clients are guided through a 6-week light-optimization sequence, the foundation of which is regulating the circadian rhythm. Instead of medication or supplements, the clinic practices root cause medicine, and the results have been remarkable. Thomas and host Meredith Oke both agree that you don't have to be a scientist to begin to master quantum biology concepts. Join this episode of The Quantum Biology Podcast as he compares modern medicine to auto repair and why he isn't ready to let Andrew Huberman off the hook. Quotes “We always joke it was like a lightbulb switched on in your head, ‘OK, wow. This is an explanation I've never had before when it comes to the root cause of, let's say, life, and at least ourselves and how it's working and how the environment is interacting with our inner biology.” (4:41 | Thomas Van Doorn) “That's why I made the decision, OK, I don't want to be in the supplement industry, the food industry, the physical therapy industry. I want to be in the quantum biology industry because it helped so much. And I came in more and more contact with other people on the forum for Jack Kruse who have healed skin diseases, or colon diseases, or any number of problems.” (9:42 | Thomas Van Doorn) “Basically, quantum mechanics, in science, we agree, it starts there. Let's call it ‘the ground floor,' and everything builds up. Why are we not looking like that when it comes to problems? Not only healthcare problems—of course, my main focus was healthcare problems—but just problems, in general. Why are we not, altogether, looking from that perspective and moving forward instead of almost moving backwards from the end of the problem, the symptom in this case, and trying to move backward. It felt so unnatural.” (13:52 | Thomas Van Doorn) “That's also something that I like about, let's say, root cause when it comes to science or particles or atoms, or whatever. They will work for everybody. It doesn't matter what genes, how old, which country—yeah, there are some nuances in it—but, it will work for everybody.” (16:02 | Thomas Van Doorn) Links Connect with Thomas Van Doorn: Clinic Website: www.yourhealthconcept.nl Instagram: @yourhealthconcept To receive a FREE infographic of the Ideal Circadian Day & join our email list: https://www.quantumbiologycollective.com/qbc-newsletter-aqb To find a practitioner who understands quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To see details about the Applied Quantum Certification: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Instagram & Facebook: @quantumbiologycollective Twitter: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“What medical intuitives have been doing naturally for centuries is now being studied and corroborated by Science,” says Wendie Colter, a pioneering medical intuitive and founder of The Practical Path. The Practical Path is a school that certifies medical intuitives. On this episode of The Quantum Biology Collective Podcast, host Meredith Oke, and Wendie Colter explain and discuss the intricacies and practical applications of medical intuition, a field that harmonizes energetic assessment with traditional medicine. So what is medical intuition? Wendie Colter explains it's not just an intuitive practice; it's an in-depth energetic evaluation of the physical body and the biofield, considering emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions of illness. Wendie has not only established credibility in this field through her certification program but also substantiated its efficacy with compelling research. Meredith and Wendie address the skepticism often associated with medical intuition, clarifying its distinction from psychic readings and shamanism. It's a method grounded in visualizing the body's physiological and anatomical nuances to identify imbalances and their roots, complementing rather than replacing medical care. Wendie shares the journey behind becoming a medical intuitive, highlighting the thorough training required and dispelling the myth that it's an innate gift reserved for a few. They also discuss the critical role of ethics and standardized practices in the realm of intuitive healing. This episode invites listeners to consider the broader spectrum of health understanding, positioning medical intuition as a valuable asset in enriching patient outcomes and expanding the horizons of healthcare practices. Quotes: The cells have their own perspectives, the organs, the systems. And so I want to know what's going on there, where are things out of balance and how it can be balanced. That's the first thing because that's what people come to a medical intuitive for is what's going on for me, you know, physically, what's going on for my health. And so that's where I'll start. And I'll do a broad overview scan, and I'll do a deeper scan. And I'll get information for my client about that. And that's the first step and that takes probably half the session or more and that's really the crux of medical intuition. Now I want to find out why it's there. What's going on? What caused it? Because when you think about it from the energetic perspective or the quantum even perspective, something starts somewhere and then is manifested.” (18:05 | Wendie Colter) “The way I describe the education that I teach is that you are going to be learning to work a new muscle. Intuition is natural, just like dancing is natural. You may want to just get up and move your body, but if you want to learn to be a dancer, there's rigor and practice and you learn skills. Well, intuition is the same way. If you want to learn my practice, there's a learning curve.” (26:06 | Wendie Colter) “We want to see medical intuitives working with doctors, working in the clinical environment, being part of the team, the healthcare team, because of the value that we know we bring.” (42:50 | Wendie Colter) Links Essentials of Medical Intuition: A Visionary Path to Wellness https://www.thepracticalpath.com/medicalintuitionbook Connect with Wendie Colter: Website: https://www.thepracticalpath.com/ Socials: https://www.facebook.com/thepracticalpath https://www.linkedin.com/school/the-practical-path-inc https://www.instagram.com/thepracticalpath.inspire To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To become a QBC member and get invites to live deep dives & access to our video library: www.quantumhealthtv.com To take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
Ether, the unseen conductor of health and vitality, takes center stage in this fascinating episode of the Quantum Biology Collective podcast. Join host Meredith Oke and guest Carrie Bennett as they unravel the mysteries of ether in quantum biology and its profound implications for human health and healing. Meredith and Carrie engage in a thought-provoking discussion about the critical role of light and circadian rhythms in our well-being, addressing why this vital information remains on the periphery of mainstream medical and alternative health practices. Delving into the concept of structured water, Carrie highlights Gerald Pollack's research, which reveals how water molecules form a liquid crystal, effectively serving as an antenna within the body for energy and information. Carrie explains the concept of ether, a fluid medium that fills all space and interacts with our bodies at a vibrational level. This discussion underscores the ether's sensitivity to consciousness, intention, and emotions, and its significant role in influencing our health. This enlightening conversation offers a fresh perspective on the role of ether in shaping our health and encourages listeners to embrace a holistic approach to well-being. By tuning into the subtle yet powerful influence of the ether, we can unlock new pathways to enhanced health and vitality. Quotes: “There's a whole line of physics that studies the behavior of liquid crystals. Liquid crystals can store data. They can receive information. They can transduce information. This liquid crystalline water is a conduit for quantum energy flow. So things like electrons and protons can flow. And so now that we know that this water has these really special properties, I think it's really easy to see how if we've omitted these properties of water that are around every protein, every biomolecule, every hormone, every receptor in the body, if we've ignored that, then we have not studied water and these hormones and molecules as they would be behaving in the human body, right? We've just studied them in isolation and we've completely ignored how truly intelligent and important that water is inside of us.” (19:07 | Carrie Bennett) “Water is receiving all sorts of vibrations and interpreting that, and then the body can adapt in real time because it knows. Vibration is the language of the universe. The body knows what to do with that information.” (22:58 | Carrie Bennett) “How is it that people thinking, like focusing intently on love and peace, how does that get to people who have no clue that this is going on? How is it influencing? It's because we are always a part of the ether. We're always interacting with it.” (44:41 | Carrie Bennett) Links Connect with Carrie Bennett: Carrie's Courses: use code QBC for 10% off https://www.carriebwellness.comhttps://www.carriebwellness.com/a/2147532205/Yy9ZsjZN Carrie's Instagram: @carriebwellness Carrie is the Lead Faculty for the Applied Quantum Biology Certification, next cohort March 2024 appliedquantumbiology.com To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To become a QBC member and get invites to live deep dives & access to our video library: www.quantumhealthtv.com To take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
Could the secret to overcoming trauma lie in the interplay of light and nutrition?" In this episode of the Quantum Biology Collective podcast, Meredith Oke delves into this topic with Kelley Erickson, a holistic health practitioner with expertise in nutrition, Reiki, and functional mental health. Kelley shares her journey of healing from childhood trauma and addiction, unveiling how she discovered the vital connection between light, nutrition, and trauma recovery. Her story begins with her struggles against complex PTSD and addiction, leading her to explore profound healing avenues. Initially focused on helping her son with a movement disorder, Kelley soon realized the necessity of addressing her own deep-seated trauma. During her healing process, Kelley discovered the significant impact of light and nutrition on trauma recovery. She discusses how the mitochondria, our cells' powerhouses, are affected by chronic stress and trauma. Adopting a ketogenic diet helped shift her body's energy utilization from sugar to fat, supporting mitochondrial health and overall well-being. Kelley also highlights the crucial role of natural light in regulating circadian rhythms and the stress response system. Sun exposure, she explains, sends vital safety signals to the mitochondria and assists in regulating the vagus nerve, key to managing stress and enhancing emotional health. In addition, Kelley offers practical tips to create an environment conducive to trauma recovery. These include allowing fresh air and natural light into living spaces, using red light or candlelight in the evenings, and reducing electromagnetic field exposure by limiting Wi-Fi and device usage. Kelley's story is a powerful reminder of the interconnectedness of our physical and emotional health and the importance of a holistic approach in healing trauma. Her insights provide valuable strategies for those seeking to nurture their bodies and minds on the path to recovery. Quotes: “One of the ways that we can help our mitochondria is by allowing them to shift from a state of being a sugar burner to being a fat burner. And this does a couple of different things. It produces more metabolic water. It can help with nutrient sensing and signaling, which becomes significantly arrested through chronic stress.” (13:57 | Kelley Erickson) “Light plays a really big role in helping the hypothalamus regulate or control the state that the vagus nerve is in. “(16:46 | Kelley Erickson) “If we put our bodies in the environment that they're meant to be in, they will heal. They know how to heal themselves.” (29:18 | Meredith Oke) “When we vibrate at a frequency that emits coherence, that's when we feel the most love. And I think that's when we can feel connected to something greater than ourselves. And it really opens the door for so much more spiritual healing.” (59:27 | Kelley Erickson) Links Connect with Kelley Erickson: Kelley's website: Sundarwellness.com Kelley's Socials: Instagram @kelleycroff Twitter @EricksonKe27003 To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To become a QBC member and get invites to live deep dives & access to our video library: www.quantumhealthtv.com To take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
Could retraining your body's hormonal system be the key to unlocking improved fertility, weight management, and overall well-being? In this episode, host Meredith Oke and Sarah Kleiner, a quantum health practitioner, explore this intriguing possibility. Sarah shares her journey from personal health challenges to founding a coaching business dedicated to hormonal energy management, transforming her struggles into a path of healing and empowerment. Sarah emphasizes the importance of leptin as a master circadian signaling hormone, affecting everything from thyroid function and sex hormones to insulin signaling and immune system function. She brings attention to the scarcity of discussion around leptin in mainstream health circles, encouraging listeners to explore its role in common conditions like PCOS and hot flashes. The conversation also touches on the essential practice of healthy light habits. Sarah shares her own experiences in implementing these changes, particularly avoiding blue light after sunset, to bolster melatonin production, which significantly improved her fertility and overall health. Sarah's story, from overcoming personal health issues to building a successful wellness practice, serves as a testament to the transformative power of understanding and managing the body's hormonal system. If you're interested in learning more about quantum biology and incorporating these principles into your own life or wellness business, be sure to check out Sarah's podcasts, Evolving Wellness and Quantum Conversations, and explore the resources available at QuantumBiologyCollective.org. Quotes: “Leptin is a master circadian signaling hormone that really impacts thyroid, sex hormones, signals insulin, your immune system, your heart. I mean, it's a key hormone that often gets ignored and people say it's your satiety hormone and they kind of just look at it as this hunger satiety thing and they don't actually see all the other implications.” (12:15 | Sarah Kleiner) “Darkness is healing. We need darkness, like we require darkness in the same way that we require light and food - it is a foundational requirement for the health of our bodies.” (34:13 | Meredith Oke) “The more that you become connected to those light dark cycles, as well as cold cycles and heat cycles, you know, the natural cycles of nature, the more you're able to tap into that inner knowing, that inner voice, your intuition, and say no to things or know that something isn't right for you.” (40:23 | Sarah Kleiner) Links Connect with Sarah Kleiner: Website: https://www.sarahkleinerwellness.com Instagram: @sarahkleinerwellness Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-evolving-wellness-podcast-with-sarah-kleiner-wellness/id1550150550 Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/quantum-conversations/id1697538368 To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To become a QBC member and get invites to live deep dives & access to our video library: www.quantumhealthtv.com To take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
Are you struggling to find restful sleep in our screen-saturated world? Tune into this episode of the Quantum Biology Collective Podcast where Meredith Oke and sleep guru Coach Nic Tan explore solutions for sleep challenges in our technology-driven era, focusing on blue blocking glasses and circadian rhythm optimization. Coach Nic Tan recounts discovering how blue light was affecting his sleep and health. He sheds light on how our modern, screen-filled lives disrupt our natural sleep-wake cycles and impede melatonin production, often leading to sleep disturbances and other health concerns. He emphasizes the role of light hygiene in sleep improvement, recommending starting with affordable blue blocking glasses and later exploring more sophisticated options. Tech solutions like Iris software and the Night Shift mode on iPhones, which redshift screens to minimize harmful blue light exposure, which Nic suggests are particularly crucial in the evening. In home lighting is also an area where we can improve. Nic suggests shifting to circadian-friendly lighting options like orange or red bulbs to minimize melatonin disruption. He says this simple change can markedly enhance sleep quality. This episode offers concise, practical strategies for better sleep in our digital world, showcasing Coach Nic Tan's insights on improving sleep hygiene for enhanced well-being. Quotes: “Blue light actually interrupts our circadian rhythm and tricks and confuses our body into thinking that it's daytime when it's actually night.” - Nic Tan (10:49) “Up until the invention of the light bulb and even then the earlier light bulbs were not suppressing our melatonin as much. And then the more energy efficient they become, the more and the brighter, the more blue light, the more they're suppressing the melatonin. So now we are basically surrounded, unless we intentionally choose otherwise, if we just default to what's available, we are surrounded by melatonin suppressing agents. Like streetlights, headlights, our light bulbs at home, our screens, all of it.” - Meredith Oke (17:37) "So typically blue light blocking glasses, that will be the very first step based on my personal experience, as well as, you know, the people that have helped, that seems to be one of the biggest needle movers." - Nic Tan (00:27:03) “Iris is one of my favorite circadian rhythm-friendly programs for your desktop or your MacBook. Essentially, it's very intuitive, so you can actually set based on your location, so your latitude, longitude, and it will essentially calculate when there's a sunrise and sunsets, and you can then set the extreme settings. For example, when the sun sets, you may want to remove all the blue. And then during daytime, you may want to kind of like just have a little bit of color on your screen. So when you can set the extreme point between solar noon and sunrise and sunset, the program would then run on its own and help you shift the blue as well as the red throughout the entire day.” - Nic Tan (41:01) Links Connect with Nic Tan: Instagram: @coachnictan For a FREE 30 min lifestyle audit with Nic: click the link in his Instagram bio To access searchable transcripts of our top 6 episodes and a FREE Ideal Circadian Day download, create a quick, free account & join the QBC Podcast insiders page here: www.qbcpod.com To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org For practitioners, fill out an application for the 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology, so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
Managing light is one of the keys to a smoother menopause, says Dr. Candice Knight, a renowned expert in integrative medicine. On this episode of The Quantum Biology Collective, Meredith Oke and Dr. Knight dialogue about the connection between circadian rhythm and hormone regulation. Dr. Knight reveals that a disrupted circadian rhythm can lead to imbalanced hormones, resulting in symptoms like brain fog, fatigue, and changes in libido. But here's the twist: the solution lies in aligning our lifestyle with the natural rhythms of light and dark. By optimizing our exposure to natural light during the day and minimizing artificial light at night, we can support our mitochondria, the powerhouses of our cells, and promote optimal hormone production. Dr. Knight emphasizes the importance of living in sync with our physiology, as it can have a profound impact on our overall well-being. Quotes: "All of the protocols that we go over that help make menopause smoother are actually really good to start as early in life as possible." (01:52 | Meredith Oke) "There's a disconnect between the balance of estrogen and progesterone. And normally it's the progesterone that's starting to drop first. As we enter menopause, you start to see a dip in both hormones to the point that after a year of no menstrual cycle, we consider that menopause. (7:03 | Dr. Candice Knight) "The circadian rhythm is the orchestra and then the mitochondria is the factory for making them." (32:14 | Dr. Candice Knight) "The foundation is to regulate circadian rhythm, lots of natural light during the day and very minimal artificial light at night." (38:53 | Meredith Oke) "If our mitochondria are stressed and overloaded and dysfunctional due to all these other stressors, then the menopausal symptoms are getting more extreme and our response to any kind of medication or hormones is gonna be inconsistent. " (42:04 | - Meredith Oke) “All roads lead back to this whole having a balance of being in performance mode and being in repair mode. What does artificial light at night do? It robs us of that repair mode. So that detoxification repair is just not happening optimally. "Could our body's coherence be the key to optimal health?" Dive into this enlightening episode of the Quantum Biology Collective podcast, where Meredith Oke engages with Dr. Christine Schaffner, a seasoned naturopathic expert, on the concept of quantum coherence and its role in well-being. Dr. Schaffner shares her transition from conventional naturopathic medicine to frequency medicine, shedding light on the crucial role of the fascia. This connective tissue, she explains, efficiently transmits signals throughout the body, but can be hindered by scar tissue. The potential of scar therapy emerges as a technique to reestablish this coherence and address the trauma in the tissue. The discussion then explores the interplay between the heart and brain. Dr. Schaffner notes the significant influence of the heart's electromagnetic field in regulating our internal environment and highlights the positive impact of emotions like love and gratitude. In today's fast-paced world, Dr. Schaffner emphasizes the importance of cultivating inner coherence. She suggests integrating practices such as meditation and community-driven activities to strengthen our internal harmony. Join this episode for a balanced overview of Dr. Schaffner's insights into the significance of coherence in our biology and its potential to promote health and transformation. Quotes: "When we learn about the physics of life, and the field interactions, and the quantum field, and how we're wired to really truly heal, I think the physics of life offer a faster truly root cause of healing." (07:07 | Dr. Christine Schaffner) "Our fascia is one system that's connected and communicating." (30:25 | Dr. Christine Schaffner) "The fascia transports our plasma state or the h3o2 or the structured coherent water within the body." (34:21 | Dr. Christine Schaffner) ”The fascia is like a superhighway conducting Quantum information faster than the nervous system and certainly faster than anything biochemistry can explain. And sometimes scar tissue causes blockages in that communication, which show up as symptoms. So when you treat the scar and open up the scar, you see those symptoms that are seemingly unrelated, start to resolve” (39:42 | Meredith Oke) Links Connect with Dr Christine Schaffner: https://cultivatingcoherence.byhealthmeans.com/order/?idev_id=33135 To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To become a QBC member and get invites to live deep dives & access to our video library: www.quantumhealthtv.com To take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
Discover the connection between bees and quantum biology in this captivating episode of the Quantum Biology Collective podcast. Join host Meredith Oke as she delves into the world of bees with guest Amber Hargroder, a modern-day Renaissance woman with a deep understanding of beekeeping and quantum biology. Through the metaphor of bees, Amber explores key principles of quantum biology, highlighting the importance of our connection to nature for our health and well-being. Learn how bees communicate through light, navigate their environment, and create structured water, all while embodying a sense of love and unity within their hive. Uncover the fascinating parallels between bees and humans, and gain insights into the regenerative power of bees when left to their natural instincts! Quote: "Consider each hive a cell and each bee a mitochondria. The honey is structured water that the mitochondria produce." (12:08 | Amber Hargroder) "The bees teach us how to listen to that [vibration and frequency]. And, you know, quantum biology principles and structured water aside, I think one of the things that the bees teach us is what love means." (18:04 | Amber Hargroder) "So, if you're a conventionally kept hive, the pollen that you're getting is not going to have the diversity that it would normally have. And so even being mixed with these enzymes, and again, they don't have the genetic diversity, so they don't have a diversity of gut bacteria either." (36:00 | Amber Hargroder) "So, they are in complete relationship with the sun at all times and they are bringing that… and if light is information that is the information they are also bringing back into the hive to teach their young." (40:59 | Amber Hargroder) "If you want to help bees just plant native plants. The best thing about planting native plants is they want to be there. So you don't have to baby them. You don't have to worry about them. They'll just do their thing. And I think that's more the direction, you know, trust your own instincts, trust yourself, trust that nature has got it, like just give it the tools that it needs to succeed. And it will do that. And the same thing as with your health, it's taking away things that are preventing you from being healthy while giving you, kind of setting you up for success, with small lifestyle changes that may seem inconsequential, but they do add up." "I did everything wrong for about 48 years of my life… I used to be the guy that could eat anything, I avoided the sun, I drank a pot of coffee every day, and I lived in an environment with cell phone towers and radiation," says John Warner. In this episode of the podcast, host Meredith Oke welcomes guest John Warner to share his personal health journey and the transformative insights he gained along the way. John's story begins with a family history of cancer, including the loss of his father and several aunts and uncles. Faced with the devastating reality that the medical community had no answers, John embarked on a quest to uncover the truth about health and wellness. John's journey started with the typical approach of focusing on food and exercise. He adopted fasting and a healthy diet, which did have some positive effects on his well-being. However, it wasn't until he discovered the importance of sunlight and circadian rhythms that his health truly began to shift. John realized that his family's lack of sun exposure and excessive artificial light exposure may have played a significant role in their cancer diagnoses. With this newfound knowledge, John made intentional changes to his lifestyle. He started watching the sunrise every morning, soaking up the healing rays of sunlight. He also prioritized high-quality sleep and mitigated his exposure to artificial light after sunset. The results were remarkable. John experienced improved sleep, increased energy, and a greater sense of well-being. But the journey didn't end there. In a surprising turn of events, John received a cancer diagnosis himself. However, armed with his newfound understanding of quantum biology and the power of light, he faced the challenge head-on. John opted for surgery to remove the tumor on his kidney, knowing that he had the tools to support his body's healing process. Through his story, John reminds us that our health is not solely determined by our genetics. Environmental factors, such as light exposure and lifestyle choices, play a significant role in our well-being. By embracing the principles of quantum biology and harnessing the power of sunlight and circadian rhythms, we can take control of our health and potentially prevent or overcome serious illnesses. Quotes: "I started digging into blogs, podcast, and I figured out my food was pretty good. I was eating right. But I started eating seasonal and local." (13:30 | John Warner) "I just lay in the sun all day and then I'd get an ice bath. So I'd get in 45, 50 degrees ice a couple of times a day." (22:22 | John Warner) "So I go the next morning, get an MRI. And I have a tumor on my right kidney, about a six month tumor." (00:30:55 | John Warner) I'm cancer free. I still get in the sun all the time. Now, I'm human. There's days where I I'm busy. I've slowed down since I've had surgery. So I can spend more time in the sun. See, a lot of people don't want to change their paradigm or their, how they live. They just want to keep doing the same thing, you know, and I, you can't get sick, can't get well in the same environment you got sick in. And you can't get well, keep doing the same thing that got you sick. You have to be able to change. And so I've even changed my work and my schedule so I can be outside more, so I can be with my family more, so I can be in a nice bath more. I don't have to travel as much and drive around as much. So you just, you have to be willing to change. And most people aren't willing to change nowadays. They're just doing the same old thing. (51:12 | John Warner) “Science is very complex. Perri and Meredith encourage listeners to trust their intuition and follow their own unique paths. They emphasize the power of holding space for truth and not getting caught up in debates or trying to convince others. Instead, they advocate for embodying truth and allowing it to speak for itself. Quotes: "We are in a time of mass awakening. People are having awakenings and they're living in a world where that awakening does not make any sense." (10:24 | Perri Chase) "The practice of staying open in the body and going slow and continuously being committed to that opening is a very important part of healing." (21:11 | Perri Chase) "The truth sort of speaks for itself. You just kind of hold it and represent it. You do not need to bang it over people's heads. It just is. It's an ‘is'-ness. And they don't have to accept it for it to be true." "The genes sort of load the crossbow and the environment pulls the trigger," says Sara Pugh. In the latest Quantum Biology Collective podcast, Meredith Oke teams up with returning guest, Sara Pugh. Sara has a degree in Biochemistry Genetics, a PhD in Molecular Mechanisms, as well as training in Functional Neurology, Pilates, and Hypnosis. Sara and Meredith dissect the interplay between our genetics and our environment and provide a great orientation for QBC listeners who are newer to the topic. Dispelling the notion that genes alone shape our health, Sara introduces the environment as a crucial activator, determining gene expression. Zeroing in on light, she reveals how our skin and eyes capture different light wavelengths, influencing our genes and the vital mitochondria. Sara underscores the ripple effects of light on our health, showing how misaligned exposure can contribute to conditions like obesity or mood disorders. Advocating for alignment with natural rhythms, she emphasizes morning sun exposure and genuine nighttime darkness, and natural unprocessed food. Sara offers actionable insights, suggesting ways to mitigate modern lifestyle pitfalls, from grounding oneself to harnessing natural light indoors. There is an illustrative story in this episode which involves a truck driver whose outdoor meals ignited a significant health turnaround! Quotes: "The important thing to understand is that the genes sort of load the crossbow and the environment pulls the trigger." (02:04 | Sara Pugh) "Our bodies go into chaos and they don't know what to do when we give an incorrect signal, like bright light when it's supposed to be dark or darkness when it's supposed to be day." (11:37 | Sara Pugh) "So in the old paradigm, their genetics determine everything. And then the old paradigm, like an ice cream cone is an ice cream cone. It has this many calories and this many grams of fat and that's that. But in the quantum paradigm, walking to the ice cream parlor and getting an ice cream and walking outside in the sunshine while you eat it has a different effect than eating an ice cream cone at home, watching television when it's dark outside and you're being bombarded by even though the ice cream may have the same calories and the same fat, the effect on your body is totally different depending on the environment and the actions that you're taking while you're eating it." (31:20 | Meredith Oke) "We want to increase the signals that create coherence in the body. Those signals tend to come from nature and natural food, things that nature produced." (43:28 | Sara Pugh) "The light and other frequencies give the signal to our bodies to be in coherence and that when our bodies are in coherence, we feel better." They delve deep into Nicole's journey of understanding the intrinsic rhythms of our bodies and the crucial role of healthy light habits, particularly beneficial for her son with Down syndrome. Nicole and her husband, both immersed in physical education, consistently valued health and wellness. But their son's Down syndrome diagnosis introduced a unique set of health challenges. As he grew, autoimmune disorders like thyroid issues and type 1 diabetes became apparent. In pursuit of effective solutions, Nicole ventured into quantum health, uncovering the profound connection between our body's natural rhythms and holistic well-being. By embracing strategies like morning sun exposure and minimizing blue light at dusk, she noticed a significant uplift in her family's health. Sleep became more restorative, and her son's cognitive and communication skills sharpened. Exploring further, Nicole recognized the benefits of red light therapy and molecular hydrogen. These treatments bolstered her son's mitochondrial function and were aligned with the body's natural cycles. Her experience underlined the challenges that individuals with Down syndrome might face concerning optimal body rhythms. Yet, with lifestyle adjustments that echo our intrinsic rhythms, their quality of life can see marked improvement. This episode highlights the interplay between our health and the body's natural rhythms, emphasizing the transformative potential of even minor adjustments. By aligning with nature's cues and creating rhythm-conscious environments, we can pave the way for heightened health and vitality. Quotes: "Gut health amongst people with Down syndrome is extremely sensitive, just like the rest of their body is extremely sensitive to any light, any chemical, anything that's creating chaos, because it almost seems like there's chaos in the body to begin with, which you would probably attribute to like poor mitochondrial function is where I would go with it." (8:00 | Nicole Hartman) "I think ideally all humans would would be in a in a better health state if we if we lived by light and dark - the natural light and dark cycles. (18:22 | Meredith Oke) "It's saying that I have, or we have, a hand in his health and we're not going to just throw our hands up. "If your biology isn't taken care of, you can't live optimally. You cannot have the highest quality of life possible." - Erwan Le Corre In his decades long exploration of natural physical movement, Erwan Le Corre, the founder of MovNat, has pioneered trends in physical conditioning and taught people all over the world how to move outdoors naturally, reclaim their vitality and become strong and vibrant. In this episode, Meredith Oke and Erwan dive into Erwan's wilderness wisdom and discuss the transformative power of natural outdoor movement. Think back to our childhood movements – crawling, rolling, climbing, and hanging. Our bodies inherently knew how to navigate the world. Erwan and Meredith address these foundational natural movements, often overshadowed in modern fitness routines, emphasizing their importance not just for physical freedom but for holistic health. They also explore the physical and spiritual aspects of breath-hold work, practices Erwan believes can fortify our bodies and minds, fostering resilience, calm, and well-being. Erwan's approach isn't just about movement and breathwork; it's a whole-life philosophy of physical, mental, and spiritual connectedness and intention. He calls us outdoors, advocating for a connection with nature, the magic of fresh air, and the therapeutic benefits of natural light. He advocates for deep reflection over quick solutions and encourages a commitment to self-awareness so that self-care can follow. As we declutter our lives of junk and distractions and realign with what is truly fulfilling to us, energy, vitality, and overall life satisfaction become more available. Quotes: “When you talk about the natural movement of animals, they're obviously outside all the time. And humans evolved doing these movements outside. So we are limiting ourselves in this, both in the scope of our movement and in the inputs that we're getting by doing those limited movements inside in an artificial environment without all the inputs of nature.” (11:22 | Meredith Oke) “But if your biology isn't taken care of, you can't live optimally. You cannot have the highest quality of life possible. And so what is biology is to understand energies, frequencies, movement, influences, everything that can affect how you feel, how your energy system is expressed, or is nourished, or is nurtured. These are not just some pretty words. It's very important. Sleep, sun, earth, movement, food, relationship to others, mental life, emotional life, spiritual life, all of that all together. Everything needs to be taken care of and to connect and to be aligned." (12:22 | Erwan Le Corre) “Find what's deeply satisfying. And typically what's deeply satisfying is really healthy. That it is a connection with nature. A connection with loved ones. A connection with the spirit that is everywhere within us, around us, above us. That is God. Realize the profoundness of life. And don't settle for less." (28:52 | Erwan Le Corre) “You're not supposed to be indoors all day. You're not supposed to be sitting all day. You're not supposed to feed yourself with junk all day. You're not supposed to put that junk in your body. You're not supposed to put that junk in your mind. You're not supposed to deal with that junk. There's junk everywhere. It's toxic. "I don't think it's an exaggeration to say the majority of breast cancer cases today in the Westernized world are related to light exposure, seeing the wrong light at the wrong time, which is huge." - Dr. Martin Moor-Ede In this episode of the Quantum Biology Collective podcast, host Meredith Oke interviews Dr. Martin Moor-Ede, a leading expert on circadian clocks and the health problems caused by artificial light at night. Dr. Moor-Ede, a former professor at Harvard Medical School, shares his journey into circadian medicine and the groundbreaking discoveries he made about the impact of light on our bodies. Dr. Moor-Ede explains how exposure to blue-rich light at night disrupts our circadian rhythms, leading to a range of health issues including sleep disorders, fatigue, obesity, diabetes, and even cancer. He emphasizes the importance of regulated circadian rhythms for overall health and highlights the need for greater awareness and education on this topic. He also discusses the challenges in the lighting industry and the urgent need for better lighting solutions that prioritize our health. This conversation sheds light on the practical strategies and feasible actions we can adopt to protect our circadian rhythms and improve our human health. Quotes: "The trouble is the people who know this stuff and know the science already, and maybe in the lighting industry, you know, all talk to each other. But the rest of the world is pretty unaware of some of this and it's really important for everybody to understand." (01:53 | Dr. Martin Moor-Ede) “And around 2007, the World Health Organization came out with this finding that was stunning. The conclusion was, looking at all the research, including the work I mentioned, it was pretty clear that that light at night was a carcinogen. And that it was related to exposure to light at night and it suppressed melatonin and it precipitated or accelerated cancer.” (15:36 | Dr. Martin Moor-Ede) "Blue light during the day - you are sitting outside there with a beautiful daylight coming in. You're getting bathed in a lot of blue. That is critical to keeping the circadian clock synchronized today. As soon as it is dusk, you want to get rid of all the blue." (23:45 | Dr. Martin Moor-Ede) "Blue light does a number of things. It interferes with our glucose metabolism. We developed something called insulin resistance. That was the body does not respond to insulin and hence insulin has to be pumped out more. And this is an effect you can get immediately the first night you expose to blue light." (29:03 | Dr. Martin Moor-Ede) "I don't think it's an exaggeration to say the majority of breast cancer cases today in the Westernized world are related to light exposure and seeing the wrong light at the wrong time."(38:31 | Dr. Martin Moor-Ede) Links: Connect with Dr. Martin Moore-Ede: Website: https://thelightdoctor.com To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To become a QBC member and get invites to live deep dives & access to our video library: www.quantumhealthtv.com To take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

“I'm targeting the blood, I'm targeting the mitochondria, I'm also targeting the water. And by using four distinct wavelengths, you are maximizing your chance of hitting a chromophore that's going to have a therapeutic effect,” explains Sarah Turner, a neuroscientist turned biohacker and host of the Rebel Scientist podcast. Sarah's experience working in pharmaceuticals led her to begin exploring quantum biology, specifically photobiomodulation or red light therapy. Her background in neurology informed her desire to research how light may be able to impact the brain, particularly in people with neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's. In this episode, Sarah speaks with host Meredith Oke about her company CeraThrive and their new photobiomodulation device for healing along the gut-brain axis. There is a common misconception that it is entirely dark within the skull, but light does penetrate into the brain. While it is a small amount of light that makes it through, it is still enough to provide significant therapeutic effects. Photobiomodulation takes advantage of the body's many natural light receptors, using four distinct wavelengths to target the blood, mitochondria, and structured water. When people are exposed to the correct light frequencies at the right times of day, this light aids the body with its repair processes. With CeraThrive's red light therapy system composed of both the device and a convenient app, people can regain control over their own health and healing without the need for pharmaceuticals. Whether you are suffering from a neurodegenerative disease like Parkinson's or simply want to improve your overall health while also reducing chronic pain, red light therapy devices like CeraThrive can help. When combined with circadian lifestyle changes like grounding and seeing the sunrise and sunset, photobiomodulation promotes optimal brain functioning and full body healing. Quotes “It's a small amount of light that actually penetrates through and gets onto the surface of the brain. However, it is enough to have a therapeutic effect.” (26:15 | Sarah) “I'm targeting the blood, I'm targeting the mitochondria, I'm also targeting the water. And by using four distinct wavelengths, you are maximizing your chance of hitting a chromophore that's going to have a therapeutic effect.” (28:29 | Sarah) “We've evolved under natural light. We're meant to be exposed to certain light frequencies at certain times of the day… It's actually a very natural thing.” (34:41 | Sarah) “We really are just animals that have taken ourselves out of our environment. The more we can kind of put ourselves back there in that natural environment, potentially, the more benefit we can get from it.” (37:02 | Sarah) Links Connect with Sarah Turner: Website: cerathrive.com Socials: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rebelscientist/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/75603411/admin/ https://www.instagram.com/cerathrive/ https://www.facebook.com/CERASystem https://www.instagram.com/rebelscientistpod/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/90730389/admin/ https://www.youtube.com/@Rebel-Scientist To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To become a QBC member and get invites to live deep dives & access to our video library: www.quantumhealthtv.com To take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
This is a recent interview I did with Meredith Oke on the Quantum Biology Collective podcast. It reflects my current thoughts on the role of light in health and how the circadian rhythm fits into optimal health. Dr Max Gulhane is a family physician based in New South Wales, Australia and is the host of the Regenerative Health Podcast. Early in his career Dr Gulhane observed the failure of the pharmaceutical based medical model to adequately address chronic illness and prevent disease, and he began a journey starting with diet and leading to light to understand the best way to manage the common complaints & chronic illness he was seeing in his practice. In this episode he explains why light and circadian rhythms are so important, why we need a nature based light / dark cycle as the foundation of our health and why most lightbulbs are the equivalent of junk food. We cover a lot of ground in this conversation, enjoy!Quotes“Food diet, light diet. Optimal health lies somewhere in the middle.” (14:40-14:45 | Dr. Gulhane)“Just like there is junk food, there's also junk light.” (17:01-17:04 | Dr. Gulhane)"Morning light is critical, because it's essentially setting you up not only to start the day, but it's also setting you up for that night's sleep later in the day.” (30:17-30:29 | Dr. Gulhane)“Getting your feet on the bare earth and watching the morning sunrise is the cheapest health intervention in maybe the history of the world.” (42:14-42:24 | Dr. Gulhane)LINKSFollow the Quantum Biology Collective Podcast on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-quantum-biology-collective-podcast/id1657777911To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.orgTo become a QBC member and get invites to live deep dives & access to our video library: www.quantumhealthtv.comTo take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.comFollow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv
“You have to change your lifestyle. Otherwise, nothing else is going to change,” explains Robert Jacobs, strength and conditioning coach and competitive strongman. As a coach and competitor, Robert has firsthand experience on the benefits of proper strength training and conditioning. Even non-athletes can benefit tremendously from basic strength training for increased muscle mass and longevity. As a big proponent of the incredible power of small changes for influencing bigger long term change, Robert prefers lifestyle changes over short term, band aid type solutions like supplements. In this episode, Robert speaks with host Meredith Oke about the benefits of circadian timed eating and exercising for overall health and wellness. Small changes like getting up and seeing the sunrise each morning can lead to huge improvements in health. The busy way modern people live is often completely out of rhythm with the natural way the human body was designed to work. People worry so much about what they are eating, that they do not realize ‘what' is only part of the picture. In many cases, when you eat actually plays a larger role on your body than what you eat. Your body is meant to follow a diurnal rhythm. When you eat dinner after dark or snack on carbs late at night, you are confusing your body's signals and reducing your ability to rest and recover during sleep. When you align your eating habits and exercise times with the natural circadian rhythm, you will gain muscle mass, lose weight, sleep better, and perform better throughout the day. Everyone knows that eating right and exercising are essential for a healthy lifestyle. What people may not realize is that the timing of when you eat and exercise may actually play a larger role in your overall health and fitness than what you are eating or the types of exercise you are doing. If you are looking to improve your health, start with small changes. Even the littlest change in your habits can have big results. Quotes “You have to change your lifestyle. Otherwise, nothing else is going to change.” (31:33 | Robert) “The majority of your carbohydrates should be in the afternoon because that is instant energy.” (34:49 | Robert) “A metabolically normal individual is essentially pre-diabetic after sunset.” (36:29 | Robert) “As you move through non REM and REM sleep, you are paralyzed. You're not supposed to be processing food.” (41:22 | Robert) “When you eat matters as much if not more than what you eat.” (48:12 | Robert) “Intense difficult exercise on an empty stomach is worse for you than it is better in the long run.” (1:14:37 | Robert) Links Connect with Robert Jacobs: Instagram: @robertcjacobs Website: www.outlawstrength.com To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To become a QBC member and get invites to live deep dives & access to our video library: www.quantumhealthtv.com To take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“The main role of the heart is to vortex blood. So in a way, it is kind of responsible for the motion of blood, but just not in the way, not in the forceful pumping that we think of,” explains Dr. Stephen Hussey. Dr. Hussey first got curious about the way heart health actually works upon reading a study that showed how inefficient the heart is as a pressure propulsion pump. In school, people are taught that the heart's main function is to pump blood throughout the body. In reality, the heart functions more like a hydraulic ram. Dr. Hussey explains how light helps heart health and why most of what you were likely taught about the heart is probably wrong. The heart helps with blood flow, but is not actively pumping it throughout the body. Because biological surfaces are hydrophilic, or water loving, they will attract the water in the blood, re-structure it, and then that structured water lines the arteries. Thanks to the paramagnetism of body tissues and blood, the blood is attracted to the structured water along the lining and this keeps blood flow moving. When flow is interrupted, that is when medical issues arise like blood clots, strokes, and heart attacks. The main problem is that modern life is no longer conducive to creating or maintaining healthy flow throughout the body. From processed diets to artificial light, the modern lifestyle is one that tends to keep people out of balance with their environment. There are many ways to strengthen your heart's ability to vortex blood. Activities like taking a walk barefoot, seeing the sunrise and sunset daily, and using an infrared sauna can help you to improve flow and boost your heart health. Quotes “In a hospital setting, being under this blue light and just non-healing environment, these things that interfere with the structure of water, would be the worst spot for someone to be who's in say heart failure.” (2:10-2:20 | Dr. Hussey) “It's no coincidence that the heart has the largest magnetic field of anything in the entire body.” (7:33-7:39 | Dr. Hussey) “The main role of the heart is to vortex blood. So in a way, it is kind of responsible for the motion of blood, but just not in the way, not in the forceful pumping that we think of.” (10:35-10:46 | Dr. Hussey) “It's way more important to increase flow, increase the ability of fourth phase water to structure itself onto biological surfaces, whether it's the lining of the artery or the elements of the blood, makes way more sense to focus on electron flow to keep your mitochondria functional in your heart, because that's what creates that huge magnetic field so the blood can continue to flow. And so that becomes the recipe for heart health is optimizing your physiology based on this biophysics rather than over analyzing just one aspect of the body.” (24:41-25:20 | Dr. Hussey) “You just have to put your body in the right environment, based on physiology, based on physics really, and trust that it is going to do the right thing.” (30:59-31:09 | Dr. Hussey) Links Connect with Dr. Stephen Hussey: IG @drstephenhussey Website & Book: https://www.resourceyourhealth.com/ QBC has a FREE live webinar on April 11th “Why It's Time For Practitioners To Learn Quantum Biology” with Meredith Oke and Carrie Bennett Register here: www.appliedquantumbiology.com/webinar-registration1679557191614 To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To become a member of our practitioner community: www.quantumhealthtv.com To take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
“A fundamental problem that people have is they've got enough energy to survive, but they can't thrive. And that's where I think quantum biology provides this enormous lens to allow people to tap into energy,” shares Sara Pugh, PhD. Dr. Sara is a polymath scientist turned quantum practitioner with a wealth of experience across many disciplines. She has experience in everything from pilates and functional neurology to close up magic and hypnosis. Today, host Meredith Oke talks with Dr. Sara Pugh about quantum biology and its connections to everything. Whether you're looking at how hypnosis works, why people are able to be tricked by stage magic, or health concerns like heart rate variability and chronic pain, everything comes down to quantum biology and circadian rhythm. When the body does not have order, there is room for inflammation to take over. Often people think changing their diets is enough to fix their health. However, 60% of electrons come from non-food sources like sunlight, and without that trigger, the body is unable to create vital hormones. People need to spend more time regulating their circadian rhythm by connecting with nature, seeing the sunrise and sunset, and eating and sleeping at the correct times. These elements are key for enabling the mitochondria to generate enough structured water for the body to perform optimally. When you get down to it, everyone is connected through quantum biology. When circadian rhythm is out of order your mitochondria cannot create enough structured water and health problems begin to occur. Quotes “When I've looked at people's heart rate variabilities, there tends to be lots of problems there because we don't sort of do basic things like going out and cuddling or stroking animals or being in nature and just feeling part of the universe.” (15:30-15:46 | Dr. Sara) “You can have all of the precursors in the world to make a neurotransmitter, but if there's not the trigger, like the sunlight, the serotonin isn't gonna get made.” (23:04-23:12 | Dr. Sara) “The blue light from the sun is our timekeeper, and a brain that can't tell the time is like a brain that doesn't know where it is. It's gonna be confused and stressed out.” (25:47-25:56 | Dr. Sara) “Inflammation is chaos, and the more order there is in the body, the better.” (26:23-26:27 | Dr. Sara) “We get 60% of our electrons from non-food sources.” (30:20-30:24 | Dr. Sara) “A fundamental problem that people have is they've got enough energy to survive, but they can't thrive. “The top of the pyramid is exercise, which is important, but it's not foundational. The foundation is circadian health because that relates to the health of the mitochondria,” explains Dr. Francisco Gutierrez. Dr. Gutierrez has over 25 years of experience in internal medicine. At just 41 years old, he suffered a stroke in spite of living a traditionally healthy lifestyle where he exercised frequently. Then, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Dr. Gutierrez realized that life was too short to continue working in a system that was misaligned with his values. He decided to open his own membership based direct primary care practice, Solymar Direct Health. Today, host Meredith Oke talks with Dr. Francisco Gutierrez about his journey through the healthcare system, his decision to start his own practice, and the importance of metabolic health. Physician burnout and suicide rates are unfortunately extremely high, mainly because physicians within the traditional healthcare system do not get to just be physicians. In order to be able to apply his creativity and apply quantum biology concepts to his treatment regimens, Dr. Gutierrez chose to open his own practice. Many people think that if they eat right and exercise, then that is all they need to be healthy. However, the focus should instead be on circadian biology and mitochondrial health. Without enough daily sunlight, your body will not run correctly regardless of exercising regularly and eating healthy foods. Metabolic health is largely dependent upon circadian biology. It is important to reset your internal clock every day by seeing the sunrise and sunset, eating at the correct times during the day, and getting at least 20 to 30 minutes of direct sunlight into your body. Quotes “When I started back in the year 2000 as a solo practitioner within the system, nobody was employed. No doctors were employed. Now, pretty much every doctor is employed by these hospital systems, and unfortunately, what that creates is an environment where the customer is not the patient, but the customer is the employer. I say that because I lived it and I lived it from both ends, from the clinical end and from the administrative. And so when you look at the statistics and you look at the rate of burnout for physicians, and sadly the rate of suicide by physicians, it's astounding, and it speaks to what you said, that a lot of the doctors, certainly the doctors of my generation, we didn't sign up for this. “Almost every chronic disorder or chronic condition can be linked more or less directly to chronobiological disruption. What we would call civilization associated disorders or diseases, they are all linked to bad habits with regard to lighting and light exposure,” explains Dr. Alexander Wunsch, chronobiologist. Today, host Meredith Oke talks with Dr. Wunsch about the dangers of artificial light and the reasons why natural sunlight is so vital. Every organism has adapted to a natural circadian biology, meaning they balance their sleep and wake cycles with those of the sun. When that circadian rhythm is interrupted, our bodies cannot function optimally and require more energy for basic metabolic functions. In most of Western society, people are not getting the proper daily dose of sunlight and instead are spending 90% of their day exposed to artificial light including blue light from computers and cellphones. Most people are not getting the right dosage of sunlight to reap the positive benefits of the sun. When they do get sunlight, people are often overdosing and causing long term harm to their bodies. In contrast, artificial light is damaging to our natural circadian biology and can be just as problematic to our health as overdosing on sunlight. Quotes “Almost every chronic disorder or chronic condition can be linked more or less directly to chronobiological disruption. What we would call civilization associated disorders or diseases, they are all linked to bad habits with regard to lighting and light exposure.” (6:05-6:39 | Dr. Wunsch) “Most humans in the western industrialized societies don't even have the chance to get the right dose of sunlight on a regular basis, because they are locked into very artificial conditions.” (21:42-22:07 | Dr. Wunsch) “90% of people living indoors are exposed to artificial light and are living indoors 90% of their lifetime. And so the impact of the artificial light sources, I would say is even more problematic. And, the fact is we have not enough true, unfiltered natural sunlight. And on the other hand, we have much too much cold, artificial light surrogates, artificial light, overdose of artificial light, and almost no exposure to unfiltered natural light. And this makes the problems.” (22:51-23:51 | Dr. Wunsch) “If you are exposed on a constant basis on the right dosage level, sunlight is positive. And if you are intermittently exposed in terms of overdosing every seven days or 10 days or so, then sunlight will unfold its nasty properties, but not immediately, but 10, 20, 30 years later.” (30:44-31:14 | Dr. Wunsch) “True light bulbs which produce the light via heat are the best artificial light source because they produce the natural spectral distribution, and our bodies are adapted to so-called thermal light sources.” (46:56-47:16 | Dr. Wunsch) Links https://vimeopro.com/alexanderwunsch/alexander-wunsch-in-english To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To become a QBC member and get invites to live deep dives & access to our video library: www.quantumhealthtv.com To take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Follow on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

“The great news of quantum biology is that life gets better, and our health can get better,” explains host Meredith Oke. Welcome to The Quantum Biology Collective Podcast, where Meredith breaks down the practical health application of this emerging science. As we head towards a scientific revolution, Meredith uses today's episode to explain the intersection between quantum physics and biology and how this topic relates to human health. As someone who has struggled with chronic fatigue for many years, Meredith went from doctor to doctor to find a solution. When traditional medicine failed her, she embarked on a quantum biology journey to discover more information about health and wellness. Although we can't always fix our mitochondria and heal, subscribing to this science's principle will improve our overall health and quality of life. It's getting much clearer why the human health paradigm is shifting. Learn more about Meredith's interest in quantum biology, optimizing our light environment, and what it means to create a new paradigm. Quotes “We can be moving towards better and better and better. We might hit the wall or hit a roadblock, but there are many doors of healing.” (16:38-16:45 | Meredith) “The great news of quantum biology is that life gets better, and our health can get better.” (16:59-17:06 | Meredith) “Even if we can't fix that mitochondria, our quality of life when we subscribe to the principles of quantum biology, even if we are sick, it's so much better.” (18:16-18:28 | Meredith) “The quantum biology collective means that we are at a tipping point where the approach to how we understand human biology will change fundamentally and drastically. And it's happening right now.” (19:28-19:47 | Meredith) “If we don't shift to thinking about our health, we're all going to suffer because the way our modern life is structured will make us sick.” (32:13-32:22 | Meredith) Links IG/Twitter/Facebook: @quantumhealthtv Directory website: www.quantumbiologycollective.org Certification website: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Full Summit Recordings: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To find a practitioner who understand the health principles of quantum biology: www.quantumbiologycollective.org To become a QBC member and get invites to live deep dives & access to our video library: www.quantumhealthtv.com To take our 8 week practitioner certification in the science of quantum biology so that you can add it to your existing area of expertise: www.appliedquantumbiology.com Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

In today's world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle and forget about our health. We are constantly bombarded with unhealthy choices and it can be hard to make lasting changes. However, according to Meredith Oke, an expert on the emerging science of circadian health, there are three essential elements to creating lasting health change: light, beliefs, and habits. Meredith is the co-founder of Quantum Biology Collective & QuantumHealth TV. These organizations focus on decentralizing health education, where medical experts break down the emerging science of circadian health and quantum biology. Through the Quantum Biology Collective, she is currently supporting the education of health practitioners to make the shift to the new paradigm of quantum biology and how light impacts health. Why is light essential for better health? Most people don't realize how important light is to their health. Light affects every single aspect of our health, from a physical, emotional, and spiritual perspective. The frequencies of natural light are constantly changing, and each moment has a different message for our bodies. Spending time outside or near an open window allows our bodies to heal in some capacity. Even just a few minutes of exposure to natural light can have a huge impact on our overall health. Unfortunately, most people spend the majority of their time indoors under artificial lights which can be damaging to their health. These lights can throw off our Circadian rhythm, which controls many aspects of our health. Making even small changes to our light exposure can have a big impact on our overall well-being. How has quantum biology helped people who have been left hanging by medical science? Quantum biology is a new field of study that is helping to explain some of the mysteries that medical science has been unable to solve. One of the key things that quantum biology helps with is understanding how the body works on a cellular level. This information can then be used to develop new treatments for diseases and conditions that have baffled doctors for years. One of the most exciting things about quantum biology is that it opens up the possibility of using quantum mechanics to treat chronic illnesses. For example, there is evidence that quantum entanglement can be used to improve communication between cells, which could potentially help with conditions like fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome. In this podcast, we cover: What is the Quantum Biology Collective? The benefits of spending time outdoors The difference between artificial and natural light How does pain relate to a disruption in the flow of energy? How can we find our sense of purpose in life? And more. EPISODE RESOURCES: QuantumHealth.TV Twitter Instagram

So if it's not totally dark, when you're sleeping, your body knows. Our bodies, even if you're covering your eyes, your body can tell that the light is there, because every single cell in our body is being programmed by that light. So I've done all these things and then like drinking a Red Bull before you go to bed, right? 21:50 - One of the things I was learning was the importance of being in the sun for making vitamin D. I knew you couldn't make vitamin D in the winter and a lot of places, but I'd never thought much about it beyond that. I gave my kids a supplement, because the pediatrician told me to and that was kind of it. So I downloaded the D minder app, which tells you where the sun is in the sky, and it geo locates you and tells you how much vitamin D you can make on that day, depending on where you are. 32:15 - I love it. That's beautiful, Scott, and that's exactly it, right? It goes back to what we were saying before. You can take really good care of yourself. But then if you go to bed in a pile of asbestos, everything you've done that day is not going to save you right. So it's if not taking care of our light is like I would say as toxic as sleeping in a pile of asbestos. 40:45 - You do want to be getting some blue light during the day. That's the reason the darker the lenses, the more blue light is being blocked. There is no blue light in nature after sunset. There is blue light present in nature, during the day, especially around high noon. However, the natural light that you get from the sun, while it contains some of the blue spectrum, you never get just the blue on its own. It's always balanced out with some orange and some yellow and some red. I mean, it's the Sci Fi like it's not blue. So high noon, when you when it's like that really bright, intense light, that's when you have the most blue light present and the least red and then sunrise and sunset. Obviously, it flips around and the blue almost disappears. So if you were nighttime blue blockers during the day, you're still messing up your circadian rhythm. Because...

Meredith explains how she would do things we know to do to replenish our energy but she just always felt like her battery was depleted and could not be recharged. After a trip to the doctor revealed normal lab levels, Meredith enlisted the help of several different professionals (acupuncturist, naturopath, and dietician) to tackle her issue of chronic fatigue. She found little relief from her symptoms but soon plateaued and things went stale. Luckily, Meredith had watched a video in the past, from what she labeled at the time as a “crazy doctor”, that talked about the importance of light and our light environment. She decided to watch the video again and this time the information took on a whole new meaning to her. This led Meredith on a journey of learning all about circadian biology and the effect natural light has on our body, mind, and soul. The episode wraps with Meredith explaining the basics of circadian biology in an easy to understand way. She leaves listeners with feasible ways to start taking the upgrade today in this area of health. Connect with Meredith→
