This brings us to talk about three specific ingredients, colostrum and lactoferrin (which make up Nova) and PeptiStrong (which stands alone in Nexus). Peptides, Milk Proteins, and Simple Sugar are Back in Style Along the way, we also get into our returning love for a simple ingredient known as sucrose, but also talk about the joys of other carbohydrate sources like honey. I had a wonderful chat with Truth Coach Randy regarding letting go of the past and his journey of freedom from anxiety and depression. BIO: In 2014 Coach Randy commenced his voyage of becoming a “truth coach”. By mere definition a truth coach is a vessel that assists individuals to acknowledge and vanquish the elements in life that create self-inflicted mental illness. As a coach, his mission is to pilot others in living in true authenticity; their personal TRUTH. One can gain clarity of living in their authenticity by detaching from illusions embedded in one's mind. When one lives in truth, all other areas of life will fall into place. Growing in his notoriety Randy's coaching has been celebrated by celebrity makeup artist Nydia Figueria, television personality Antoine Von Boozier and DJ Mama Kim of Love & Hip Hop NYC. In addition, the nationally celebrated truth coach has been interviewed on acclaimed media outlets such as: We Empower Magazine, Hustle & Soul Magazine, Vocal, Medium, LWL Magazine, Femi Magazine, Authority Magazine, Hiltonian, Vents Magazine, Heart of Hollywood Magazine, Vip Section TV, and Social Impact Heros. https://www.queenvisionnetwork.com https://www.instagram.com/theqchat_podcast/ https://www.instagram.com/iam_geauxqueen/ This Podcast is Sponsored by Queen's Arrogance LLC (c) #peopleofcolorpodcasts #selflovepodcasts #podcastsforwomenofcolor --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-q-chat/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/the-q-chat/support

Deidre Proctor has spent many years as a certified business, clarity and accountability coach, along with being the CEO of Deidre Proctor & Associates, LLC. Deidre has always maintained a passion for helping others to achieve their goals. As a highly sought after coach with a strong bent for helping women, Deidre shared that the biggest part of her coaching program for women is helping them get past their fears. She says, it not enough to identify your desire or goal (although gaining clarity in this area is important), but you must take action. Fear causes paralysis and it shows up in different forms – procrastination, remembering the negative comments of others, etc. One of Deidre's greatest talents is creating and developing processes for women entrepreneurs. The Systematic Success Strategy is what she uses when working with this co-hort. Also, Deidre and her husband David Proctor have co-founded Amazing Retreats International, LLC. One of the most popular events that has emerged from her and her husband's partnership is the “Breathe Retreat.” This endeavor began in 2015. According to Deidre, this retreat is where you can truly see the growth of women. She told the story where an attendee shared with her that she almost did not attend the retreat because she felt so guilty about leaving her husband and son for the weekend. Although many people might respond “what's the big deal, surely they can survive one weekend without you”, Deidre recognized what a huge step this was for this woman and how she grew from the content of the retreat and how she worked through her fear. Additionally, Deidre is also the founder and CEO of “Share Your Genius” (SYG). This group is comprised of over 1.5 thousand women not aimed at merely getting something from the group, but the beauty of this group is that every member has a gift/talent and are now is in the position to give and share their gifts and talents. The group also has a cadre of subject matter experts known at SYG (Share Your Genus) Certified Experts in a wide variety of skill and practice areas. Certain days are reserved for certain topics. For instance on 2/24/22, the day allowed for SYG Experts with strong knowledge in interior decorating, gardening and image enhancement to share with the larger group. There are a myriad of topics (too many to list here). Deidre shared a quote from Pastor Myles Munroe that is so profound – “The wealthiest place on the planet is just down the road. It is the cemetery. There lie buried companies that were never started, inventions that were never made, bestselling books that were not written and masterpieces that were never painted. In the cemetery is buried the greatest treasures of untapped potential.” This quote alone is what keeps Deidre motivated to help women grow. She states that she is just not her happiest unless she is helping someone else. Deidre's work has had a far-reaching impact as exemplified by the recognition she has received from the following publications – Heart and Soul Magazine, Glamher Magazine, Voyage Dallas Magazine, The North Dallas Gazette – just to name a few. If you would like to reach out to Deidre to learn more about the phenomenal work that she is engaged in, she can be reached on deidreproctor.com; on Facebook as Deidre Proctor; on Instagram as coachdeidreproctor.
There is no doubt, to be human right now is not easy. It is almost impossible not to feel the shift underneath in the world order and the feeling is palpable. For us in Queensland and NSW, this is on top of catastrophic floods, and the pandemic. It is Ok to be human and feel the suffering. It is also OK, to escape for a few minutes into worlds that seem far removed from danger, clean-up, masks, and strife. This is the beauty of creating worlds for others to escape to. When I spoke to @anitakopacz about her new novel, I had only read a few pages, but I knew Shallow Waters would be a book I would love. This book reminds me of books by two of my favorite authors, Tananrive Due and Octavia Butler. It is very similar to Children of Blood and Bone by Nigerian author Tomi Adeyemi. I love how modern day myths are being written about African characters. The Creator, expressing as our African ancestors, are speaking in multiple ways. Our collective consciousness is seeing ourselves as powerful and supported by the mysticism that is the nature of this Universe. We have been taught to ignore it. We have done so at our peril. Shallow Waters, gives us a myth to help us conceive of ourselves differently. Kopacz is Spiritual Psychologist as well as an Artist and healer. Our conversation was so rich that I invited her to come back on the show to discuss the healing work she is doing at her upcoming retreat. Anita talks about the ritual she used to petition Yemaya and how the energy of the ocean responded and much more! Accolades for Shallow Waters, A Novel Spellbinding...A captivating debut.” —Harper's Bazaar In this stirring and lyrical debut novel—perfect for fans of The Water Dancer and the Legacy of Orïsha series—the Yoruba deity of the sea, Yemaya, is brought to vivid life as she discovers the power of Black resilience, love, and feminine strength in antebellum America. Shallow Waters imagines Yemaya, an Orïsha—a deity in the religion of Africa's Yoruba people—cast into mid-1800s America. We meet Yemaya as a young woman, still in the care of her mother and not yet fully aware of the spectacular power she possesses to protect herself and those she holds dear. The journey laid out in Shallow Waters sees Yemaya confront the greatest evils of this era; transcend time and place in search of Obatala, a man who sacrifices his own freedom for the chance at hers; and grow into the powerful woman she was destined to become. We travel alongside Yemaya from her native Africa and on to the “New World,” with vivid pictures of life for those left on the outskirts of power in the nascent Americas. Yemaya realizes the fighter within, travels the Underground Railroad in search of the mysterious stranger Obatala, and crosses paths with icons of our history on the road to freedom. Shallow Waters is a nourishing work of ritual storytelling from promising debut author Anita Kopacz. Anita Kopacz is an award-winning writer and spiritual advisor. She is the former Editor-in-Chief of Heart & Soul Magazine and Managing Editor of BeautyCents Magazine. When she is not writing, you can find her on the dance floor or traveling the world with her children. Anita lives in New York City with her family. In our chat, David and I reminisce about his years in bonny scotland, how the MENA music landscape has changed over the years and David gives some fantastic advice on how to get more gigs. Former DJ in Scotland, club and radio (mostly on the production side) Was part of the Tommy Boy and Sony Street teams back in the day. HNC in radio production and broadcasting. Briefly covered Scotland for BBC Radio 1Xtra A regional reporter for Blues & Soul Magazine for 7 years. Ran Urbanscot -Artist promotion and development uniting the scene in one website. One of the biggest success stories to come out of the initiative was Emeli Sande. I came to Dubai as a DJ and then started Mais Musica in 2013 (initially with Marko Smokingroove) It's grown to be one of the busiest agencies in the city with well over 200 gigs a month.
