Moin, liebe Alle! Musikalisch gibt's diesmal 'You're in both dreams (and you're scared)' von Pærish und 'Welcome to my House' von YONAKA.

Join your host, Greg Howard Jr, as he gets to the heart of what makes a musician tick with the incomparable PINKFIZ!!!A true definition of fiery feminism, Pinkfiz is an idependent alt-rock artist hailing from Peterborough, who currently resides in London. Representing flourishing female empowerment, her anger of unjust experiences turns it into resilient rock perfection. Using her home studio, she creates euphoria with her songs, empowering others and igniting a spark amongst listeners, making them comfortable enough to scream out all their frustrations. Her music is influenced by bands such as Bikini Kill, Paramore, Nova Twins, Yonaka, Wargasm, Cassyette, Poppy and Pale Waves.Pinkfiz on Facebook - Instagram - Twitter - YouTubeSUPPORT THIS SHOW
Nova Twins, Cassyette, Dream Wife's Alice Go and Theresa Jarvis of Yonaka discuss how their music is like a lair full of poisonous frogs, writing in windowless rooms, how laptops have been an intimate sketchpad for the way they write music, making unusual sounds with smashed glass, and why a song doesn't have to be personal to be meaningful. Nova Twins are one of the most exciting bands of the last 20 years. Amy and Georgia bring their metal energy to new audiences around the world, and have been friends since childhood. Alice Go is a guitarist and singer with Dream Wife, a punk band known for their lively on-stage performances and powerful feminist anthems. Theresa Jarvis leads the quartet Yonaka, who have gained a massive reputation in the British alt-rock scene for their heavy riffs and wild live shows. And London-based Cassyette's provocative blend of nu-metal and electro-pop has been winning fans since she dropped her debut single Jean in 2019.

Escuchar audio

Zuzu is an incredible artist from Liverpool, creating noisy, infectious tunes which show her passion and love for guitar riffs. Writing music from the age of 7, she has had a love and drive to become a musician for years, signing her first publishing deal by the age of 18. Zuzu has had an incredible career so far, touring with artists such as The Courteneers, Yonaka and Ten Tonnes. I've known of Zuzu for years, she is good friends with my lovely pal Lauran Hibberd so I reached out via Instagram to see if she'd be keen to have a natter. I was thrilled when she agreed as I think her strong opinions and thoughts about the music industry would make a wonderful addition to the series. In this episode we talk about her time touring with The Courteeners and how it shaped her world as a female musician within the industry, we also discussed how important her fans are to her and how she communicates with them via Facebook. I am SO EXCITED to give you an episode from front woman of the unbelievably sexy and cool rock band, Yonaka...THERESA JARVIS! Having only formed 5 years ago, they’ve already toured with Bring Me the Horizon and Fever 333, and have supported Kasabian, The Cult and The Libertines, and have had songs featured in the film Fast and furious, wrestling channel, WWE, online game, League of Legends, and TV show, The Flash...to name just a few. Having not seen each other since music school, Theresa and I bumped into each other at a Christina Aguilera gig (I know) late last year and blew up each other’s eardrums attempting to catch up. Turned out she’d become a fan of the podcast, whilst I’d become a mega fangirl of her rock band, Yonaka. To my utter joy Theresa asked to come onto the podcast to tell her story. It was so moving to hear a part of her life I had no idea existed behind this light, vibrant and incredible woman. (And WHAT a woman). She makes me laugh more than most and lights up every room she walks into. She is a true example of someone who has managed to channel something painful and traumatic into something positive and creative for herself. She is an inspiration and I am OBSESSED with her (can you tell?). * If you like what you hear, it would be so appreciated if you could rate, review and subscribe as we love hearing your thoughts and feedback, and it helps get the podcast to reach more ears (apparently). * Created | Hosted | Produced by Angharad George-Carey Mastered and Compressed | by Worgie Productions Music | by Julietta * Social Media: Angharad George-Carey @angharadgeorgecarey Theresa Jarvis @theresa.m.jarvis Yonaka @weareyonaka Daddy Issues Podcast @thedaddyissuespodcast * If you'd like to seek guidance and support for any issues raised in the episodes there are three websites we would recommend depending on your individual needs: www.juliasamuel.co.uk JULIA SAMUEL MBE www.blackmindsmatteruk.com BLACK MINDS MATTER www.griefuntangled.com GREIF UNTANGLED * We love hearing from you! In this belated episode of Commonology101, we have fan-favorite guest B. C. Wehman returning to help Lex and Mitch discuss supernatural shenanigans, COVID-19, mask-ulinity, and GOYA getting an unexpected honor of being placed on the desk in the oval office. Later, we have said guest become uncomfortably enamored with ridiculous pop-culture tirades from Lex and Mitch about Megan Thee Stallion, Jada Pinket Smith, and Kanye proving he shares the same level of sane genius as Trump by going off on inconsolably insane monologues. Sprinkle in desperate attempts to figure out how to explain all this philosophically and you have this episode. Enjoy!
