Great to get Chris back on the podcast. He's been out of Slipknot since 2019, but he's got a lot to keep him busy. On this episode, we discuss his relationship with Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward. "He's like another father to me. That guy's amazing." He said they talk just about every day. He tells me about his friendship with the late Phil Campbell of Motorhead, golfing with Alice Cooper, and his massive baseball card collection. What was it like playing those earlier Ozzfest gigs as Slipknot was climbing the mountain of metal success? He talks about his favorite SK album and why it's that one. My fave as well! He shares some funny Ozzy stories, drumming with the late Joey Jordison, meeting fans at comic-cons, working with the legendary Rick Rubin, and lots more. As I said, it's great to have Chris back on the pod. Enjoy!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

From over 240,000 metalheads to Alice Cooper's 78-year-old theatrical masterclass, Megadeth's bittersweet farewell cycle, and Bring Me The Horizon dragging Lorna Shore's Will Ramos on stage—we are unpacking the biggest highlights of the weekend. Then, we dive straight into our headline feature interview with Juno-nominated solo artist, producer, and former Cradle of Filth keyboardist/vocalist Lindsay Schoolcraft. Lindsay sits down in-studio to unpack her brilliant new album, 'Harrowing' (co-produced by Justin deBlieck). She opens up completely about how the record chronicles her survival from narcissistic abuse, her public defense of former bandmate Ashok after his abrupt exit from Cradle of Filth, why she almost became a politician to fight for the unheard, and her balanced perspective on her time with the symphonic metal giants despite their current, ongoing litigation.  Finally, stick around for our post-interview deconstruction as Scott tracks the biggest metal news stories breaking across the globe over the last 48 hours, including Helloween's 40th anniversary set and the live return of Acid Bath. We are proud to welcome Rock PR veteran Sharon Chevin who has been in the music business for more than 4 decades. What began as a deep love for rock music became a sustaining career which has taken her around the world and helped her forge friendships with some of the biggest artists on the planet. These days, Sharon manages prog rock legends Yes (and she wants me to remind everyone that Aurora is out now) and Steve Hackett (she teases his new collaboration with Marillion's Steve Rothery) but has worked with and hung around some of the biggest stars of all time. Her stories are amazing and funny as she shares how Alice Cooper will work a 14 hour day as long as you give him a couple of hours to shop. Hear how she had to convince hotel staff in Germany that she needed corn flakes for Tom Petty and George Harrison at 1 AM. She talks going to see a new band at Hammersmith called U2 with Pete Townshend and Bruce Springsteen. Mostly, Sharon lets us know that most of the top talent are marvelous people who are great to work with. But not all of them are and she drops a couple of names onto the jerk list. But mostly we hear about how Chris Squire invited her to stay with his family after an earthquake or how John Lord would always drop by her local pub for a glass of wine when he was in town. She admits she fell in love with Billy Idol the moment she met him and how Bryan Adams talked her out of getting Bonnie Raitt's picture taken with Madonna. We're just glad Sharon is still doing PR for bands we love and that she's still sharing her stories of her rock n roll odyssey. Dave dusts off one of the biggest episodes in the show's history as the Dopey Patreon votes Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe to the top of the poll. Before the interview, Dave celebrates Ray Brown's legendary “Home Sweet Heroine,” reflects on working Step Eight with a sponsee, and shares another gratitude story involving his father. Then Jules the Cocaine Bear delivers a classic disaster tale involving cocaine, drunken party crashing, a switchblade, British police, and a miraculous escape from drug charges. Kimber King joins the show to react to comments from her replay episode, discuss Wednesday Zoom antics, laugh about bizarre drug combinations, promote Safe Spot, and celebrate the Knicks' championship run. The two revisit old stories and joke about everything from meth vapes to foot fetishes and Suboxone flavors. The centerpiece of the episode is Dave's epic conversation with Nikki Sixx. Nikki discusses twenty-plus years of sobriety, fatherhood, moving to Wyoming, writing The First 21, and how creativity replaced addiction. He opens up about childhood trauma, being introduced to drugs at an early age, selling “chocolate mescaline,” discovering heroin, and surviving the darkest years chronicled in The Heroin Diaries. Nikki reflects on Mötley Crüe's forty-year journey, his friendships with Aerosmith and the Rolling Stones, the monster of addiction that never dies, and why he continues to share his story in hopes of helping others. The interview finishes with a rapid-fire rock and roll quiz before Dave signs off after his dog nearly attacks an Amazon delivery guy.

Also geht Quatro allein nach London. Sometimes a show starts with a plan. Other times it turns into 30 minutes of Alice Cooper golf stories, celebrity colonoscopy competitions, and an unexpected debate about Grateful Dead clothing. Guess which one happened today. On this episode of The Rizzuto Show, the crew dives headfirst into another beautifully unhinged morning of entertainment news, questionable life choices, and the kind of conversations that probably shouldn't happen before breakfast.First up, Blink-182 fans are losing their minds after hints of a major anniversary celebration for Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. Is a tour coming? New music? A giant reunion of people who still know every word to "The Rock Show"? The crew investigates. Then we learn that Alice Cooper accidentally left his credit card at a gas station during a golf trip in Arizona. Luckily, it was found by a fan who returned it instead of funding the world's weirdest shopping spree. The gang discusses Alice's legendary golf obsession, his friendship with Groucho Marx, and how the guy somehow still looks cooler than all of us combined.Things get even stranger when Tom Hanks reveals that he, Steve Martin, and Martin Short host actual colonoscopy parties. Not metaphorical parties. Real parties. Complete with competition, suffering, and discussions nobody asked for but everyone immediately became fascinated by. Naturally, the crew spends way too much time debating which show member they'd be most comfortable pooping in front of. Science demands answers.Elsewhere, Moon admits he's becoming dangerously attracted to Grateful Dead merchandise despite knowing almost nothing about the band. Is this maturity? A midlife crisis? A cry for help? The jury remains out.The celebrity chaos keeps rolling as Taylor Swift wedding rumors heat up, Jack White quietly drops news about a new album, Alanis Morissette launches a theatrical stage production, and Hugh Laurie apologizes after accidentally unleashing the internet on a TV critic. Because apparently getting drunk and tweeting remains undefeated. And then things really go off the rails when the crew ranks the greatest country summer songs ever recorded. The Amish Inquisition Podcast

In 2016, headlines across Britain screamed of a werewolf stalking Hull's Barmston Drain — an 18th‑century canal turned urban legend. Locals claimed to have seen a half‑man, half‑beast prowling the area. The story went viral, reaching national papers, the Huffington Post, and even Alice Cooper's social feed. But what really happened? How many witnesses were there — and what did they actually say? Was it folklore reborn, mass hysteria, or something stranger? This Sunday, The Amish Inquisition welcomes Deborah Hyde, folklorist, writer, and expert on the uncanny, to dissect the Hull Werewolf phenomenon amongst other weird happenings modern and ancient. She'll explore how history, storytelling, and cultural memory shape modern monsters — and why tales like this still form part of the human psyche. Expect a dive into: The folkloric roots of British legends The psychology of eyewitness accounts How media amplification turns myth into modern mystery Why we believe the things we believe Join us live for an evening of folklore, skepticism, and the strange.

This week, we bow down and raise up the almighty guitar heroes! The foundation of Rock n' Punk n' Metal is the guitar and the amazing sounds that those who wield them can make. How do they make such wonderful noise with metal wires on a piece of wood? There's some kinda voodoo in their hands, and we set off on a journey to raise some of the 70s shredders that you may have forgotten! What's this InObscuria thing? We're a podcast that exhumes obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal and puts them in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. This week we discuss all three. Get out your old 70's Guitar Player mags and flip the pages as we discuss some of the most amazing fingers to ever touch a fretboard! Making Sound with Jann Klose

EPISODE 145: Rob Arthur is a musician, filmmaker and watercolorist.  He's currently the bandleader for the Peter Frampton Band. His new (and first) foray into filmmaking has riled the new documentary "FRAMPTON". From the explosive heights of Frampton Comes Alive! to the quiet introspection of his final tour, "Frampton" is an intimate portrait of a rock icon who soared, stumbled, and rose again. This feature documentary traces Peter Frampton's extraordinary life and career — from his meteoric rise in the 1970s that made him a global sensation, through the turbulent years that tested his artistry, identity, and resilience. As the roar of stadium crowds faded, Frampton faced the daunting task of rebuilding — reinventing his sound and rediscovering his purpose across solo projects, collaborations, and relentless touring. Behind the stage lights, personal sacrifices and fractured family ties reveal the cost of fame that few ever see. Now, diagnosed with Inclusion Body Myositis, a degenerative muscle condition threatening his ability to play guitar, Frampton stands at a profound crossroads. framptonfilm.comContact us: makingsoundpodcast.comFollow on Instagram: @makingsoundpodcastFollow on Threads: @jannkloseJoin our Facebook GroupPlease support the show with a donation, thank you for listening!

Parents everywhere know there's a level of frustration where you stop talking… and start blasting Huey Lewis in the garage like your life depends on it. This episode starts with Rizz admitting one of his kids pushed him so far over the edge that he had to activate the emergency happy playlist — and honestly, that may be the most relatable thing ever said on a daily comedy show. The gang dives deep into the songs guaranteed to rescue your mood, including Bermuda by John Linnell, “Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher,” “Power of Love,” “Stayin' Alive,” Wilson Phillips, Grateful Dead deep cuts, and enough Motown to heal emotional damage from modern life. Somehow the conversation turns into Michael Jackson hiding under your bed, CPR training from The Office, and whether Poison's “Nothing But a Good Time” should legally qualify as antidepressants. Then things escalate exactly the way they always do around here. There's major concert news with the Smashing Pumpkins launching a massive anniversary tour for Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness, plus Sonic Temple highlights featuring Shinedown, Daughtry, and Lzzy Hale absolutely crushing live performances. The crew also debates legendary tours after a “greatest concerts of all time” list sparks chaos because apparently U2 and Garth Brooks got disrespected so hard that Moon nearly launched himself through a wall.Speaking of questionable life decisions, Moon opens up about tattoo regret and realizing some of his old ink now resembles “a Walmart quarter-machine mistake.” The gang breaks down famous rock stars with zero tattoos, including Lars Ulrich, Alice Cooper, Trent Reznor, and Dave Mustaine. Meanwhile, Moon's tattoos are slowly evolving into what the show describes as “touched-up church Jesus art.” Honestly, no notes.Celebrity nonsense also reaches elite levels in this episode. Tom Brady apparently debuted a new look that made listeners compare him to Patrick Bateman, an animatronic billionaire, and a rejected Zoolander villain. The crew debates whether Brady's “perfect guy” magic is finally wearing off after another bizarre fashion appearance. There's also fake celebrity dating rumors involving Pamela Anderson and Tom Cruise, SNL madness with Chad Smith impersonating Will Ferrell, Paul McCartney showing up with new music nobody expected, and Casey Musgraves performing breakup songs on top of a washing machine because country music symbolism has fully left Earth. As always, this daily comedy show somehow mixes music nerdery, parenting meltdowns, celebrity gossip, nostalgic chaos, weird news, and absolutely unnecessary side conversations into one giant sarcastic fever dream. It's basically group therapy for people who laugh at inappropriate moments and still think “Stayin' Alive” is a medically useful song.If you love comedy podcasts, funny celebrity gossip, weird stories, sarcastic humor, music debates, and total morning show chaos straight out of St. Louis, this episode has everything except emotional maturity. And yes… somebody absolutely ends the show talking about porno birthdays. On this episode of Talking Guitars, we remember legendary producer Jack Douglas, who has passed away at the age of 80. Throughout his incredible career, Douglas worked with some of rock's biggest names, including Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, John Lennon, Blue Öyster Cult, Patti Smith, and the New York Dolls. Born in the Bronx, New York, Douglas started out as a folk musician before attending the Institute of Audio Research and landing a job at the legendary Record Plant — first as a janitor, then quickly rising to become one of rock's most respected engineers and producers. Along the way, he contributed to classic recordings by The Who, Miles Davis, Alice Cooper, and many more. Douglas is perhaps best known for producing Aerosmith's classic albums Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks, Draw the Line, Rock in a Hard Place, Honkin' on Bobo, and Music from Another Dimension! He also engineered and co-produced landmark albums including John Lennon's Imagine, Double Fantasy, and Milk and Honey, while contributing to legendary records like The Who's Who's Next and Cheap Trick's self-titled debut album. His close relationship with Aerosmith even earned him the nickname “the sixth member” of the band, and his influence on rock music can still be heard today. Join us as we look back at the life, music, and legacy of one of rock's most influential producers.

In a world of shredders, our guest today is a surgeon. Known for a legato style, he has spent decades pushing the boundaries of what a guitar can do. Whether he was redefining the metal landscape with Megadeth or exploring the complex sonic territories of his band OHM,  Chris has always reinvented himself.  Joining us today, is the incomparable Chris Poland!  Check out Chris's new project with Nuclear Messiah entitled Black Flame, a thunderous, all star concept album featuring a murderer's row of metal and rock musician, from  the likes of Guns N' roses, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, and even Willam Shatner. Check out the album on April 24th!   We also get real stupid again and talk about succulence, Mike's trip to an AirBNB, and Scott performs in front of his parents.  Have a listen!
