What kind of a reaction should you expect when you trigger a war in AIT? Is it possible for a guy to just take a poop in peace?  Find out, the answers to these questions and more on this weeks "sode" of The Cammo Comedy Show Podcast! If you have any funny military stories of your own that you would like to share, drop us a line at:stories@cammocomedy.com  or  Leave a voicemail at (531) 222-6146  Sadly, the voicemail will only record in 2 minute blocksWe are here to make you laugh, but behind this there is the imbedded philosophy of, "No One Left Behind." Sadly, 22 vets per day commit suicide, approximately 67,500 vets are homeless and thousands struggle with everyday life after service.  What we hope to accomplish is providing a fun place to gather that will have a similar feel to the conversations that happen at the VFW or American Legion between vets.  Since the latest generations of vets are not really going to these places anymore, we are making it happen online.  We believe that the sense of community will help some who struggle, while providing stories about the good times that we can all laugh at!An additional part of this show is capturing the oral history of the military over the past few decades, so if you happen to know a veteran who served during WW2, Korean War or Vietnam eras, we would love to hear from them.  Obviously, we want to hear stories from all eras, but we have special respect for the older generations.  Our Sponsors #SponsorsPatriot MobileGet one free month of service when you make the switch to Patriot Mobile and use Promo Code "WOLF"   https://patriotmobile.com/partners/wolfPatriot Mobile donates a portion of every dollar earned to organizations that fight for causes you care about.Patriot Mobile has exceptional 4G & 5G nationwide coverage and uses all the same towers the main carriers use. Justin Sackett googled "hardest hike" in college and ended up on a 20,000-foot peak in Ecuador with zero mountaineering experience. That failure lit a fire that led him from complete beginner to professional guide to running his own guide company at 28—all while training single-mindedly for Everest without supplemental oxygen. This episode explores his rapid progression from sport climbing newcomer to alpine guide, the mentor who gave him the technical foundation most climbers take years to develop, and the Liberty Ridge storm where 60mph winds and inadequate gear taught him brutal lessons about weather forecasts and risk tolerance. We discuss the Rainier ice block incident that made several of his friends quit guiding, why he started his own company instead of working for established services, how he vets guides and avoids hiring crusty climbers, and what training for Everest without oxygen actually looks like when you're also running a business. [Name] opens up about the genetic lottery of altitude performance, why the West Ridge of Everest represents the ultimate objective in his mind, and how he's preparing mentally for both success and failure.Topics include: becoming a mountain guide, AMGA certifications, Liberty Ridge conditions, guide company management, hiring guides, crusty climber culture, Everest without oxygen training, altitude acclimatization, post-objective depression, risk tolerance at 8,000 meters, and balancing business ownership with personal climbing goals.Watch the full episode on Youtube#amgaguides #highaltitudeclimbing #mountaineering #alpinism---Thanks to our sponsors!LIVSN DesignsCheckout Their Ecotrek Trail Pants HEREUse Code "TCM15" At Checkout for an extra 15% OFF Your OrderHelp Support The Show & Unlock The Ad-Free PodcastResourcesBook Justin Sackett's Guide ServicesJustin's IG

Close Call: Sinner tentenna, Alcaraz a tutto gas (23 feb 2026)

Brian Scoggins, retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant, in Episode 233 of the Transition Drill Podcast, explores identity, accountability, and consequence for veterans and first responders navigating the long shadow of family history and personal choice. You'll hear Brian on carrying mistakes that weren't his, surviving moments that should've ended his life, and what it took to take ownership anyway and build a future he could stand behind. Brian Scoggins grew up on the east side of St. Paul, Minnesota, in a split world: one side of the family steeped in stability, military service, and tradition, and the other marked by addiction, chaos, and hard lessons at home. He talks about how that environment pushed him to grow up early, protect his younger siblings, and figure out who he was when things around him weren't steady. Brian takes you through the turning point that changed the trajectory of his life as a teenager, including a near-death moment that led him to recommit to faith and make a clean break from the path he was headed down. From there, it's the messy real-life version of “getting it together”: trying to join the military, dealing with legal problems caused by his older brother using his name, and learning fast how systems work when you're the one stuck proving you're not the guy they're looking for. He originally wanted a rescue-focused path and even chased the idea of being a firefighter, EMT, or special operations, but the Marine Corps became his lane after a recruiter encounter that felt like a dare. Brian shipped to boot camp in 2004 and ended up in aviation ordnance, loading guns, bombs, and munitions on aircraft, often in high-tempo environments where mistakes can get people killed. He shares what it was like hitting the fleet and deployments to Iraq, and how deployments and leadership experiences shaped him, including time inside a struggling helicopter squadron where he had to confront dysfunction head-on and protect Marines by forcing uncomfortable accountability. After 20 years of service, including recruiting duty, and fighting MMA, Brian retired in June 2024, and explains the work he's doing now working for Northrup Grumman and in the nonprofit space with No Lone Wolves, focused on reducing isolation and suicide risk by building connection through community and online gaming meetups. The U.S. capture of Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro marks one of the most consequential unilateral actions Washington has taken in the Western Hemisphere in decades. Chris and Matt unpack what actually happened, why it matters, and how this operation tests long-standing assumptions about sovereignty, precedent, and America's role abroad—especially in a world where rivals are watching closely. They then turn to the death of Aldrich Ames, reflecting on how the CIA's most damaging traitor reshaped U.S. intelligence, shattered trust from the inside, and still serves as a cautionary tale about institutional blind spots, complacency, and the enduring cost of betrayal.Subscribe and share to stay ahead in the world of intelligence, global issues, and current affairs.Support Secrets and SpiesBecome a “Friend of the Podcast” on Patreon for £3/$4: https://www.patreon.com/SecretsAndSpiesBuy merchandise from our Redbubble shop: https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/60934996Buy us a coffee: https://buymeacoffee.com/secretsandspiesSubscribe to our YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDVB23lrHr3KFeXq4VU36dgFor more information about the podcast, check out our website: https://secretsandspiespodcast.comArticles discussed in today's episode"Bold Delta Force raid leads to capture and arrest of Maduro" by Jack Murphy | The High Side: https://thehighside.substack.com/p/bold-delta-force-raid-leads-to-capture"A Close Call for US Commandos and an Emboldened Trump" by Eric Schmitt, Greg Jaffe | The New York Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/07/us/politics/trump-venezuela-helicopter.html"Trump's ‘American Dominance' May Leave Us With Nothing" by Anne Applebaum | The Atlantic: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/01/trumps-american-dominance-may-leave-us-with-nothing/685503/"Trump's seizure of Maduro raises thorny legal questions" by Kayla Epstein | BBC News: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cr4krkz7242oDOJ Indictment of Maduro: https://www.justice.gov/opa/media/1422326/dl"Aldrich Ames, C.I.A. Chris Feistl spent 26 years working for the DEA, including three years in Colombia during the 1990s, helping take down one of the most powerful drug empires in history — the Cali Cartel. His real-life work was portrayed in Narcos: Season 3, but the truth behind the show is even wilder. From undercover operations to high-stakes cartel takedowns, he witnessed firsthand the danger, corruption, and chaos of the war on drugs. Over his career, he earned the DEA Award of Honor, Award for Exceptional Service, and multiple Performance Awards for his role in international investigations. In this exclusive interview, he opens up about what really happened in Colombia, how Narcos got it right (and wrong), and what it was like to spend decades hunting some of the world's most dangerous traffickers. #LockedInWithIanBick #DEAAgent #Narcos #CaliCartel #TrueCrime #DrugCartel #NarcosNetflix #realstories Thank you to BLUECHEW for sponsoring this episode: Visit https://bluechew.com/ and use promo code LOCKEDIN at checkout to get your first month of BlueChew & pay five bucks for shipping. Norm laces up his hiking boots for one of the Cowboys' toughest climbs yet — a trip to Denver, where the air is thin and the pass rush is thick. In this episode of Just Wondering, Norm breaks down the brutal matchup between Dallas and the Broncos, spotlighting a defense that leads the league in sacks and a young quarterback, Bo Nix, who's learning how to win ugly. With stats, storytelling, and a dash of nostalgia, Norm revisits the Cowboys' last win in Denver — thirty-three years ago — complete with Jimmy Johnson's halftime rage and a Charles Haley scolding for the ages. This one's a mix of history, humor, and a hard look at what it'll take for Dallas to exorcise three decades of Mile High misery. Chapters 00:00:00 - Can the Cowboys Finally Beat Denver?00:01:23 - Why the Broncos Might Be the NFL's Scariest Defense00:03:08 - Bo Nix: The Rookie Who Won't Blink00:04:41 - Close Calls and Narrow Escapes: How Denver Stays Dangerous00:05:36 - The Formula: Sacks, Ground Game, and Grit00:06:25 - Dallas' Path to Victory: Keep Dak Upright and Hope00:09:25 - Flashback to 1992: The Last Time Dallas Won in Denver00:11:56 - Jimmy Johnson's Bathroom Breakdown (and Why It Worked)00:13:34 - Emmitt, Aikman, and a One-Point Escape in the Mountains00:14:21 - Thirty Years of Mile High Heartache Check us out: patreon.com/sunsetloungedfwInstagram: sunsetloungedfwTiktok: sunsetloungedfwX: SunsetLoungeDFWFB: Sunset Lounge DFW

Reports surfaced this week that Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly woke up in his Brooklyn jail cell with a knife pressed against his throat, a claim first made by one of his longtime friends, Charlucci Finney. According to Finney, the mogul was asleep when another inmate entered his cell and held a sharpened object to his neck before a correctional officer intervened just in time. Finney said the incident wasn't random—he believes it was a message, “an act of intimidation,” meant to send a warning rather than kill. Though Diddy reportedly escaped unharmed, the story immediately spread across outlets like Page Six, The Blast, and HotNewHipHop, stirring speculation about the circumstances and the level of protection—or lack thereof—afforded to such a high-profile inmate.toc ontact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Sean 'Diddy' Combs 'woke up with a knife to his throat' in prison attack, friend claims
