It can exclude, it can beat up, it can destroy, or it can build up, include and make you more profitable.Have a choice in that. And that choice is how you approach it.People succumb to culture. // Resources from this episode:Follow Brad Federman:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bradfedermanbfederman@performancepointllc.comhttps://performancepointllc.com/ You can get Brad's Books from the link below:https://www.amazon.com/Brad-Federman/e/B002B1SMJW%3Fref=dbs_a_mng_rwt_scns_share Join our Facebook Group:  Go High Ticket: Scale your coaching business to 6 Figures.

It's About the Behaviours You're Willing To Accept''.You are as strong as your weakest link. And those weak links show up at difficult moments. That's Culture.Organizations focus on the wrong piece, what I say they focus on profitability, problems, and process when they should be thinking about people. When leadership and management want to discuss something and they want something to happen, they still take one direction, a one-way conversation approach. We value data numbers, practical information a lot. We've become a little bit more open to the whole emotions thing, but you still hear people say, business is business personal is personal, leave your emotions at the door. Leadership is all about removing barriers, being a servant to your people, opening up opportunities, coaching, facilitating. The more we are immersed with the WE, the more we are adding value.// Resources from this episode:Follow Brad Federman:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bradfedermanbfederman@performancepointllc.comhttps://performancepointllc.com/ You can get Brad's Books from the link below:https://www.amazon.com/Brad-Federman/e/B002B1SMJW%3Fref=dbs_a_mng_rwt_scns_share Join our Facebook Group:  Go High Ticket: Scale your coaching business to 6 Figures.

A lot of the behavioral sciences can feel intimidating. However, it doesn't have to be. The Five Rules Podcast Series is our attempt at giving you an easy entry point into the complex and messy world of Behavioral Science. Senior executives have risen to their position for many reasons, but one of them is a love for numbers. Executives live by numbers.  So, you can't just have a “really great idea.” It would be best if you had a “really great idea” and an idea of how it will drive numbers for the organization. I have learned a lot about how to win over senior executives. In this episode, we explore the five rules for successfully engaging with senior executives to enhance your career. I share these based on my decades-long career and constant immersion in these skills. Moreover, I share them because I have learned that if you don't engage properly with senior executives, it can have precisely the opposite effect on your career.  Key Ideas to Improve your Customer Experience One of the overarching principles that guide your behavior when engaging with senior executives is to remember what matters to them most. So, if you're having a conversation about customer strategy, think at their level, which is a high-level customer strategy, not an on-the-ground customer tactic. We often mention getting inside the head of your customer and looking at the experience from their perspective. Now, apply that principle your upline by taking their perspective and speaking to them in the language of their decision making. Here are a few key moments in the discussion. 03:25  Colin shares the first rule, which is that everyone should have an opinion; that's what you are paid for and how you add value to the team.  08:51  We discuss how to handle an explanation with senior executives, and walking the tight rope between respect and intimidation. 13:25  We talk about how at a senior level the questions get simpler, even if the responsibility gets more intense.  18:38  Ryan explains how the fourth rule is essential, be concise, because he has seen people that cannot adapt to a changing environment, and they lose their opportunity to communicate it as a result. 21:38  Colin shares the last rule, Back up your argument with numbers and explains why these matters—maybe the most—when talking to senior executives.  Please tell us how we are doing! Complete this short survey.  Customer Experience Information & Resources LinkedIn recognizes Colin Shaw as one of the 'World's Top 150 Business Influencers.' What does it mean to be a leader and how do you become a good leader for your business? In this episode, we talk about leadership and what you need to do when creating teams, how-to guide them, and how to make your company work for your customers. As my guest puts it, you have to engage your employees or your team to better focus on your customers which means looking at the company's culture, the relationships between the teams and their managers, and how that process works for the company overall. What is hanging on the walls of the lobby really needs to come to life, and not be a "fancy mission statement" that nobody lives or breathes in the business. One needs to understand how teams work so you can be agile and faster in creating cohesion and relationships for your team to succeed. As Brad says, "Inspiring others to discover and live their possible." How do you do this? You need to continue pushing forward About Brad: Every day, people wake up and trudge to work, resentfully working at a company that falls short of its promises and values. This is a problem, one that Brad has dedicated his career to resolving. He is dedicated to helping organizations engage employees and customers, build resilient and bulwark relationships, as well as creating collaborative and agile cultures. As he puts it, his job is to ‘help organizations discover and live their possible'. This mission has followed Brad throughout his career as an international author, speaker, coach, and consultant with more than 25 years of corporate experience. As the founder of PerformancePoint, Brad works with organizations in various industries, including household names such as Nordstrom, FedEx, Embassy Hilton, Mayo Clinic, Deloitte & Touche LLP, and Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation. Prior to PerformancePoint, Brad was the EVP of Novations Group and has held leadership positions with Accenture and Humana Inc. He is a frequently requested featured speaker at conferences and business meetings worldwide. Some of his literary works include Employee Engagement: A Roadmap for Creating Profits, Optimizing Performance, and Increasing Loyalty, Jump Start: 50 Ways to Engage Your Team, and a contributing author to 101 Ways to Enhance Your Career. Additionally, Brad has also been interviewed for Fox Business News' John Stossel Show and articles in numerous publications such as American Banker, Fortune Small Business, Los Angeles Times, and HR Magazine. Brad earned his B.A. degree in communications from the University of Maryland and an M.Ed. degree in human resource development from Vanderbilt University. EP68: UNCOVERING YOUR STRENGTH SERIES: Using Your Talents to Enhance Your Career, Life & Future; Session 5- Connectedness + Deliberative Hi Chit Chatters!  Welcome to session 5 of our series Uncovering Your Strengths: Using Your Talents to Enhance Your Career, Life & Future! Today's Guest is Christy Huyhn and she is sharing with us her favorite theme of her top 5 of Connectedness and diving deep in on Deliberative.  There is so much to unpack in this episode. For starters, Christy hadn't connected how deeply connected she is to her Connectedness. She knew it was her favorite theme, but after I read Gallup's definition of it she got a little emotional seeing how much of her life is surrounded by this theme. She's been a practicing coach and fan favorite of the platform since 2005 and although she is an expert at teaching strengths based education and career development, she hadn't spent a lot of time seeing the impact of her strengths in her own life and career.  When we switched gears to chat about Deliberative it became more about her work and how she has had to pivot in the way she connects to people and the things she needs and expects from them because she is responsible for some many areas.  My conversation with Christy on her Strengths of Connectedness & Deliberative and why it is her favorite was so much fun. I learned a lot of how this strength has impacted her and how it has changed her life. Be sure to listen to different facets of this strength and how she has owned it!    Christy'sTop 5 Themes/Strengths:  Achiever, Input, Empathy, Deliberative, Connectedness   Who Is Christy? Christy Huynh was first introduced to strengths in 2005. Since then she has worked to incorporate a strengths-based approach in all aspect of her work including developing a course, "Exploring Your Strengths" for exploratory students, facilitating leadership and team building workshops and infusing strengths into her career coaching and supervisory roles. EP57: UNCOVERING YOUR STRENGTH SERIES: Using Your Talents to Enhance Your Career, Life & Future; Session 1- Individualization   Hello Chit Chatters, I am so excited to bring you this episode, the first in our series on Uncovering Your Strengths- Using Your Talents to Enhance Your Career, Life & Future; Session 1- INDIVIDUALIZATION   This particular Strength/Theme is one that shows up for me the most everyday. It's the one I use everyday in my life and the one that honestly brings me the most joy!    You're probably wondering what does Individualization means, so Gallup/CliftonStrengths has a textbook definition for this one, literally their own textbook. In the book, Strengthfinder 2.0, From Gallup: Discover Your CliftonStrengths, it says “Your Individualization theme leads you to be intrigued  by the unique qualities of each person. You are impatient with generalizations or ‘types' because you don't want to obscure what is special and distinct about each person. Instead, you focus on the differences between individuals. You instinctively observe each person's style, each person's motivation, how each thinks and how each builds relationships.    Now there is a lot more there to dig into when it comes to this particular definition and the details behind which is what we uncover into this episode. What I want you to know is this particular theme falls in the domain/category of Relationship Building.  This helps people from all spaces of the world of work to not only be a strong leader in their space, but also to show up for their team and their individual staff/subordinate.  If this sounds like you and you're ready to take action subscribe  to the podcast so you can get alerts when episodes on this series will be released and if you want to take the CliftonStrengths assessment here is a link to one of my coaching packages that offer it!    PLUS>>>>For a limited time only (now through March 31st) Get a $250.00 discount on the Level-Up package when you pay-in-full! EP55: UNCOVERING YOUR STRENGTHS: Using Your Talents to Enhance Your Career, Life & Future! Hello my Chit Chatters! I am so excited you're here! Spring is in the air in upstate NY and having the sun come out and melt the snow is a beautiful thing after living through gray skies and snow for the last 3 months.  Today we are diving into the introductory episode for my series on Uncovering Your Strengths. This has been a topic I've shared with you multiple times in the show (EP48,EP29 & EP 17) go check out those other episodes. Let me know what you think.  For today, I am going to share with you some details about what to expect as we go through this series. I can't tell you how long it will be, but I can tell you I will do an episode summarizing the experience.  The idea is to go behind the scenes and dig deep into helping people discover their talents using Gallup's CliftonStrengths (aka StrengthsFinder aka StrengthsQuest). We're going to have meaningful and powerful conversations with folks around their top 5 themes. We'll discuss the unique language of the assessment and the diversity among the 34 themes.  If you've never heard of the CliftonStrengths before here's what you need to know and if you're interested in taking the assessment. This tool is intended to help people maximize their human potential. Allowing you to supercharge your energy using your talent/strengths to be more efficient in your life and at work.  As a coach, I have successfully helped hundreds of students, clients and businesses learn about their talents, develop their leadership skills while establishing a strategic plan to succeed in all things. Uncovering your Top 5 Themes is just the beginning of the journey when you take the CliftonStrengths Assessment it's an opportunity to transform your life.  This tool is for the manager, team leader, supervisor, C-suite executives, students, mentors, essentially everybody! The need for pro bono legal services for the poor has never been greater. Prior to the pandemic, legal services agencies were only able to meet a portion of the need. For example, due to lack of funding, legal aid programs in Massachusetts were forced to turn away 57 percent of residents who sought help last year. With the coming recession and millions of families in this country facing food and housing insecurity, this gap will surely widen. Pro bono lawyering will be needed to meet the great demand and fill the gap. In this episode, I am very pleased to welcome Sue Finegan who is a nationally recognized leader in pro bono representation. When I first spoke to Sue a year ago about being on the show, I thought it would be a good opportunity to talk about how pro bono can help build your legal skills and increase your career satisfaction. Today I feel it is a moral imperative to encourage practicing lawyers to do their part in proving pro bono legal services.  I invited Sue to talk about the benefits of doing pro bono work and where she thinks the needs will be in the coming year.  We also discuss how she has carved out her own unique career path and found great satisfaction in doing well by doing good. I’m thrilled to talk to someone who has dedicated her career to the cause. Sue is a Member of the law firm Mintz Levin, an AmLaw 100 firm based in Boston.  She is a nationally recognized pro bono pioneer with exceptional advocacy skills and a passion for helping underserved populations. As chair of Mintz’s Pro Bono Committee, she leads groundbreaking cases and manages pro bono matters for the firm. She helped to defeat President Trump’s first immigration travel ban in early 2017, engineer the passage of a Massachusetts restraining order law for sexual assault survivors, and create several innovative statewide model pro bono programs in Massachusetts. Sue was appointed the firm’s first Pro Bono Partner in 2007and manages the firm’s pro bono efforts, consisting of over 300 varied cases annually.  She also advises firm clients on developing and sustaining pro bono programs within their in-house legal departments. As member and current co-chair of the Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission for several years, Sue has been a tireless and innovative advocate for low income people in Massachusetts and beyond. Additional Resources MassProBono is a good starting place in Massachusetts The ABA is compiling a list of students interested in providing pro bono assistance. The registration form can be found here. This directory of non-profits seeking pro bono assistance PSJD, https://www.psjd.org (designed for students seeking public interest career opportunities, but is a great way to learn about different legal services agencies and can be searched by city, state) Pro Bono Net, https://www.probono.net/network/volunteer (offers easy ways to search by region and issue area to allow students to hone in on organizations they want to pursue, and may have specific opportunities for law students posted as well).

Women's Leadership, Women's Career Development, Business Executive Coaching & Podcast by Sabrina Braham MA PPC

// Maybe you've been asked to review a financial statement and had no idea what to look for. Or the CEO has asked you to be one of the key players helping the company reach its financial objectives. In a follow-up brainstorming session, you're asked for ideas about what might be done, but you're not sure how your job relates to the bottom line. Or perhaps your boss wants you to come up with suggestions on percentage increases for the next year and you have to ask your high school senior how to figure them. There was a time when schools didn't worry much about women and numbers, let alone finance concepts.
