In this episode, we delve into the critical importance of self-acceptance and self-love as foundational elements for extending love and acceptance to others. We explore the concept that true spirituality radiates from within and discuss the continuous process of personal growth akin to how plants constantly evolve. The conversation also addresses the consistent characteristics that form our personality, the necessity of periodic self-recalibration, and the influence of environment on personality expression. We touch on the challenges of narcissism, the compulsive need for control as a safety mechanism, and the pivotal role of emotional maturity. Our discussion expands to societal classifications, unity through uniqueness, and the critical balance between individuality and collective belonging. The episode wraps up with reflections on emotional maturity, wisdom, and the role of self-awareness in personal growth. 00:00 Introduction: The Deception of Combat 00:36 The Importance of Self-Acceptance and Self-Love 00:57 Spirituality and Inner Connection 01:52 Continuous Growth and Self-Evaluation 03:10 Shifts in Values and Perspectives 04:51 The Reflection of the External World 05:33 Personality and Disposition 06:42 The Complexity of Change 09:47 Narcissism and Self-Awareness 13:52 Unity Through Uniquity 15:49 The Need for Unity and Connection 17:34 Archetypes and Classification 25:33 Emotional Maturity and Wisdom 30:35 Conclusion and Call to Action

Fractal Donut - Spiritual Technology: Embody through Practice
The path is not linear, with backwards and forward steps. It is like breath - exchanging between the inner and outer: the inner knowing (always there) can be expanded into the external, and the external (which we can influence but not control) is internalized / experienced —> and is woven. Our living is dynamic, fluid, searching, explorative, expressive. Can be expanded into a series contemplating the circular exchange between Inner and Outer. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rachael-pham/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rachael-pham/support
Jim Waldron is one of the great minds in golf instruction. Respected by all and sundry, his primary goal is to give students the insights and information that will enable them to breakthrough to extraordinary golf. His teaching method is a blend of biomechanics and mindfulness practice, covering both the "what to do" with your body and club, and the "how to do it" with your mental approach to learning, training and performing in golf. Jim joins #OntheMark to discuss his holistic approach to golf instruction and to teach you how to develop and accentuate the connection between your mind and body. He illustrates the Three Sensory Channels - the Sense of Vision, Hearing and Feeling - and how they communicate with the Brain and whether you are focussing on the External World or your private Psychological Space. He further teaches you, with exercises, how it is possible to direct your attention and your awareness on command, at any given moment, with any one of those sensory channels. His approach is essentially the unification of Western Scientific Principles and Eastern Psychological Insights and is the starting point of Mindfulness. He also delves into the concept of "Meta Awareness" as a way of learning, and focussing attention at any moment, without any internal psychological reactions to what you are paying attention to. Meta Awareness will help you become less reactive in stressful environments like the golf course and/or tournament pressure. Jim illustrates his points with examples such as Tiger Woods and Ben Hogan. Improve your focus, channel your awareness and develop your game and your skills more efficiently and completely. Im pivoting to looking for God in the external world pivoting away from looking for God inside my thoughts & feeling. It's new for me as I'm prone to excessive introspection & guilty of not enough tangible activities based off Biblical principles. Here is whats in this episode: 1. Can you be so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good? 2. What I learned from CS Lewis' Screwtape letters 3. Evidence of God in the external world (not just within my thoughts or feelings). Hint: there are plenty! Like baby Koda my wife & I's 1st Grandson.

Once you commit to internal work, how does that show up? Coach Josh references episode# 133 _ “Heart of a Lion” in this week's episode of #truthseekers. That's a good kick-off point to today's conversation. And when prioritizing the Internal over External, what exactly does that mean for your External World? What actually happens? The coaches give a few real-life examples so that you might think about how this applies to your life. Enjoy! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/nick-davies7/support

Time for another philosophy-filled episode! This time, Pat is joined by Dr. Lydia McGrew to help us think through external world skepticism. Is there really a world beyond our minds, or might everything we experience be the result of some malignant spirit manipulating our thoughts, as Descartes once suggested? Most people refuse to take these absurd hypotheticals seriously, but philosophers have often struggled to articulate just why these situations are, in fact, irrational. Fortunately, Dr. McGrew has some really good published material on the problem of external world skepticism, which we discuss in this episode. I'm excited to be joined by Danny Miranda. A writer, creator and fellow podcaster, he hosts The Danny Miranda Podcast. We talk about even coming from a childhood with good parents and grandparents he has struggled with depression and self-worth. We can face those challenges even from the best of situations, but he worked on himself to discover courage and confidence. Danny began an exercise of writing "I love myself" one hundred times each day. After only eight days into this practice, he had Gary Vaynerchuck share one of his stories on Instagram. More importantly, he became less concerned with rejection, felt less tied to other people's perspectives of him and was overall happier in his life. Sometimes as we hear these stories we'll say, but I could never believe it when I say I love myself. Join us to see how Danny first felt as be started this habit. High level narcissists are obsessed and preoccupied with the impressions they are making. Quoting from my book: Freeing Yourself From the Narcissist in Your Life gives you a keen sense of this obsession: "The narcissist is always preoccupied with the impression he/she is making. For some, everything in their environment---homes, cars, personal possessions---must reflect a flawless self. Walking through some of these homes, I have wondered if anyone lives there. There is not one sign of human habitation, no footprints on rugs or carpets, no finger marks on furniture, mirrors, no cooking aromas or whiffs of faded perfume, no towel askew, no stain, no dust, no scuff, no smudge---Every aspect of their outward environments must be kept in pristine condition at all times..." If you are partnered with or married to a high level narcissist or grew up with a narcissistic parent, this description and portrayal is very familiar to you. You have spent years and decades in extreme chronic stress, anxiety and depression, somatic disorders, unrelenting insomnia. You cannot tolerate it any longer---your research, insights and intuitions about the high level narcissist are well grounded and very clear. You choose to leave this empty vapid, externally oriented lifestyle with an individual who treats you with disrespect, disdain, accompanied by bursts of vile, projected venom that causes your anxiety , self doubt, and unfettered rage directed at you are particularly terrifying if you experienced childhood trauma. You are moving forward leaving your false relationship with the high level narcissist behind. Your pathway forward leads to recovery, transformation and evolution of the true self. You simplify your days, following your deep intuitions and daily self care. https://tinyurl.com/y39j2uke www.mhnrnetwork.com https://www.mentalhealthnewsradionetwork.com/ https://tinyurl.com/y3ss5clg
“Your ability to choose how you interpret and respond to the constant stimulus and external variables of life is the biggest superpower you will ever possess.” It's the last episode of season 2 and I am so grateful you showed up this season to listen in and level up. I have loved this season and can't wait to bring you more in the new year. But I wanted to leave you with one of the most powerful truths I have learned about becoming HER before we wrap the season. This episode is about shifting from the lie that our outside creates our inside to centering on the truth that we can create whatever we want externally by taking responsibility for our internal environment. Continuing teaching from Chapter 6, covering the evolution of the universe and the relationship between sentient beings mind and the external world.
In this episode, I talk all about how the ego loves to look to the external world for answers, validation and approval. This pattern of thought surfaces in the way we: Find ourselves in the perfectionism trap Compare ourselves to others Seek approval from others Become self-conscious Take advice without question Form attachments to material things for comfort Announcement: I am pausing my podcast for the summer to spend some time connecting with myself, prioritizing my family, and working on some creative projects that have taken the back seat for a while. Thank you to all of you who join me for every episode. I totally dig your support. You guys are the best. I'll be back at it in the fall - I can't wait to see you then! xx Sarah

Elizabeth Joyce Teaching - Conquering Anxiety over the External World — Let’s Find Out! Right now, in the US and the world, so many people are concerned, worried, fearful and many other feelings about our own nation, the world we live in – the world around us – “The External World” – that which we see, hear, taste, feel and smell, all around us. Some of us have spent our entire lives focused on the world around us, fixing, working, and accomplishing things in this world. We may have reached nearing mid-life age or the end of our lives and instead of feeling fantastically accomplished and wonderfully fulfilled, we feel depressed, anxious, upset, resentful or angry, sometimes to the point of medicating ourselves to help us deny this. So many of us can look at what we’ve accomplished out in the world in our lifetime, and start to experience deep within where it has become nothing but a whisper – that we haven’t changed the world as much as we wanted to during this life. We haven’t gotten the insight that we thought we’d have. We haven’t gotten from this path in the way we thought we would, so we get angry and upset, disillusioned and disappointed, and lost in wondering if what we did had any value at all. If we haven’t made the world into what we wanted by the time we reach “NOW”, we may get depressed, or despondent and sometimes a sense of despair and deep loss may come up within us.
If you feel like something's off in your life, and you can't be yourself in your business… it might be because the external world is suffocating you! In this episode, I'm talking about how can you break free of expectations, and show up as your true, complete self and create a thriving business because of it. Tune in and I'll show you how to pull apart your own belief structures, stop letting the external world determine how you show, and finally start creating the freedom and success you know you're meant for. From the moment we are born, we are boxed into so many roles. These roles can dictate how we behave or think for our entire lifetime. The tricky part is it’s hard to differentiate the true motive behind our actions - am I acting from a place deep within me that is authentic OR am I acting from a place of expectations placed on me by the external world? The other side of the coin is - our expectations around roles we expect others to play and the negative emotions that come up when they don’t. Listen in as I dive into this one and share my personal experiences. Contact me: unpackingmyself@gmail.com or find me on Insta: @unpackingmyself

In this episode I discuss my own ideas behind Controlling what you can Control and Being Present using the concept of the External World vs Internal World. We can't just enjoy sipping coffee, we have to enjoy the Brewing. It's all about the process.
A physical bond deals with body and physical satisfaction, which humans seek in order to control the stress level. Scars which are seen on a body can heal through the cells present but same is not the case with the mental and emotional trauma. Since very few relationships get to the point of success, and one’s who achieve heights are judged by such people around. Sharing your relationship status on online platforms is even more lethal than the offline ones. It’s better to play alone with a special one rather than involving everyone. And that is why it is truly said that work in silence let success make noise. #Relationship #Private #External #World
Third Round posts are short audio clips taken from Round 3 comments offered in the online Logopraxis Life Group meetings. I discuss a common question. Do cittamatra and yogacara philosophy refute the existence of reality/external world.. I discuss another common confusion about the mind only schools of thought.

You know, into the zone, or sports in general, but especially extreme sports athletes because the athletes are dealing with a tremendous amount of fear. And I think the belief is that these athletes are fearless, and that's absolutely not the case. What the secret sauce is, is that they are having an intimate experience with their fear. Then as a result they get into a flow state.”

Changes in the external world can cause great misery when we don't know how to engage and heal ourselves. Moment of pain and discomfort or encounters with ideas that may break the mental images we have created of the world. Listen this Podcast to know more.
Exploring the mirror component of the external world and those around you; how the inner growth journey, mindset and lifestyle get you to see and pursue your explorations of this in cosmic consciousness; how it is always a choice at your disposal, accessible by you in any and all moments; what changes this brings to your life when faced with life moments and circumstances; how mind and heart flow are a part of the process too; why your higher infinite human potential is always a major player and accessible through your ability to tap into your higher cosmic consciousness; and how the determining factor will always be you, your belief in life and yourself and whether or not you allow your heart to lead the way in flow with unconditional love and neutrality towards self and others, particularly when the unknown elements of life, the void space of tomorrow's unknown, presents itself to your conscious mind. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/maria-florio/support
Have you ever felt obsessed with changing your external circumstances?Like… When I release some weight I will be happy. When I have an increase of money I will feel safe. If my boss wouldn’t be bothering me I would have a great day. If my kids would leave me alone for a bit I would feel peaceful. All these external circumstances are out of our control. And I used to be obsessed with things like that including my food that led to an eating disorder. I wanted to have a sense of control and peace. I wanted to BE happy and was outsourcing my happiness to external things and people. It is so important to learn that our internal world creates our external experiences. And when we do realize it we start to journal, meditate, work out, eat better… and we get those glimpses of peace, happiness, and fulfillment. Yet, it still feels like something is missing, doesn’t it? Like you are doing all the right things but it doesn’t yet feel complete. That’s when the Universe worked its magic again and through my friend Angie Sanchez Rojo brought me another friend and mentor, Amy Zhou who introduced me to Anthony Williams, aka Medical Medium. Medical Medium teaches us about our dis-eases, our aches, pains, and struggles in our bodies in a whole new perspective. Thanks to him I not only am healing my grandma, I am also bringing in more joy, love, and prosperity in my life because I am letting go of all toxicity, viruses and bacterias from my body. And it is as simple as starting my day with 32oz of lemon water, 32oz of celery juice 30 minutes after that and having for breakfast Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie. High level narcissists are obsessed and preoccupied with the impressions they are making. Quoting from my book: Freeing Yourself From the Narcissist in Your Life: "The narcissist is always preoccupied with the impression he/she is making...For some, everything in their environment--homes cars, personal possessions--must reflect a flawless self. Some individuals lead their entire lives exclusively on a surface level. They are incapable of of introspection, the process of going inside of oneself. Their focus is on the material. by this I mean physical appearance, professional and economic status, societal power." Their sense of identity is based not on a search for insight, empathy, working with one's character, but the amplification, exaggeration or fabrication of their accomplishments. Some high level narcissists insist on having perfect children that provide them with the ultimate narcissistic supply. They choose a golden child who represents their perfection and extraordinary power. The high level narcissistic parent psychologically fuses with this child who identifies with the parent and not with his true self. High level narcissists are often bright and talented and very charming and successful. They fool most people with their highly adept personas and skillful manipulations. High level narcissists control the lives of others in the cruelest ways, causing extraordinary psychological and emotional pain. If you are partnered with or married to a high level narcissist, this description and portrayal is very familiar to you. You have spent years and decades in extreme chronic stress, anxiety and depression. In this non marriage you are exhausted, worn down. You are awakening to the true nature of the high level narcissist your insights and knowledge are well grounded and very clear. You choose to leave this empty, externally oriented lifestyle and extricate yourself from the psychopathy of the high level narcissist. You are authentic and genuine with many creative gifts. You are separating out from the high level narcissist on your pathway of recovery, transformation and evolution. You are simplifying your days , following your deep intuitions and the routines of self care. https://tinyurl.com/y39j2uke www.mhnrnetwork.com https://tinyurl.com/y3ss5clg

Interactions with the External World Dr. Al-Samarrai, Jane and Shayna discuss engaging with the external environment during the times of corona post sedation. Do we actually want to return to ‘normal?' What behaviors have changed and how are they impacting our nervous system? Are we now enemies? In this episode we explore personal believes, values, confirmation bias and how we know what we know. We dive into the benefits of naturopathic medicine and the value of exploration of new and different ideas.
In this episode, we are discussing that nagging feeling of waiting until all external circumstances are perfect to start doing our work on ourselves internally. The two things are not mutually exclusive! I recently teamed up with my friend Dr. Gina Madrigrano to put together a course to help you deal with the struggles of living through the Covid-19 crisis. In this course we talk about managing fear and anxiety, letting go of our need for control, creating routines and healthy boundaries at home, how to help your kids through the difficulties of this situation, and how to take stock in what really matters to you in order to lead a happier life on the other side of this. We have also included extras such as guided meditations, some of our most relevant talks we have given on these subjects, and more. Our hope, is to help you through this trying time. Happy Mid-January friends :) Thank you so much for all the kind connections and listeners from ALL OVER THE WORLD! You are amazing!!! Today's episode is part book review, part personal growth. I recently read "How To Be A Badass At Making Money" by Jen Sincero and I really grew quite a bit as a person just by putting myself in the arena and digging deep to understand my own mentality. You can read all the books in the world, but without consistent action to build a better 'you', you'll get stuck and stay in the same excuses that are currently surrounding you. For anyone seeking a book to support their sticky-relationship with money, much like me, then this is a fabulous read I'd recommend for sure. Would love to hear your thoughts on how this book and/or episode helped you see yourself through a different light, I sure as hell know I do
One of the more important teaching on the path of healing is the concept that our internal world is reflected in our external reality. Do you want to heal? Do you want to become whole? Do you want more money? Do you want to meet that special someone? Do you want more abundance in general? When you ask, life goes about making it happen. It will start to put you in contact with the parts of yourself that you need to come into relationship with by showing them to you in your external world. If the gap between who you are and who you need to be to receive the things you ask for is large, you'll likely to get your butt kicked in some way... until you are molded into the person, internally, who can receive those external things.Music:Forever Believe by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)Artist: http://audionautix.com/

Colossians 3:22-4:1 - God has called each of us into the job that He has for us. He has placed us as a light in a special part of the world. Our real job is to reflect Christ and serve Him in the workplace. The paycheck we get each week is just an added benefit. It is not the reason we do what we do. We do not work for a paycheck, we work for the Lord.
Luke 16 - Jesus uses this unusual story to remind us that we are to be good stewards of our money. We don't waste money, trust it, love it or live for it. We learn to use it wisely for God's Kingdom. We recognize that we are to manage it wisely since it all belongs to God. We use it for things that have eternal value and understand that we will give an account for how we manage the money God has entrusted to us while we are on this earth.
Genesis 3 - We are reminded that relationships are easily hurt by our self imposed fears. In order to honor God, we must understand the ways that God loved us. As we try to emulate God's love and Christ's example, we can develop relationships that reflect Christ. Our goal should be to show the love of Christ as we become people of grace and truth in a world that is self centered and based on lies.
I am recording this live from Bali and I really wanted to do this episode from here with a little bit less of the editing and a little bit more rawness. I feel raw. I feel really raw. I feel like I'm going through another unearthing in my life. Another unearthing of what does not belong which, always feels very scary you know? It's this whole idea of like, “I want to keep things as they are and I want a white-knuckle, and I want structure, and I want this, and I want that,” so that I can feel safe. I wanted to bring this message to this podcast today. This whole facade that our external world creates our internal safety. In this episode, I share: Deciding and choosing the emotions we want to feel. What does safety feel like in your body? Getting above the emotions that keep us stuck. Inviting safety into our bodies on a daily basis. Check out our Hungry for Happiness community for more details, programs, and tips on how to thrive as a wellness coach. There are these people in workplaces who have a talent for completing assigned tasks well. Their results are basically always excellent and up to the specifications and requirements for getting the job "done right". Worker bees, we call them. And they are essential for the consistent and routine operation of a workplace. Without them the riffraff hand in a suboptimal and incomplete product. What if someone had this type of talent, but for thinking? How might it look? What is a correct and (nearly) complete thought? A good candidate for the worker bee of thinking might be Ludwig Wittgenstein. In this episode, we Dawdlers focus on this dying man's thoughts on common sense and the external world. Logical Positivism. What separates meaningful language from non-meaningful language, genuine science from pseudo-science, and productive philosophy from unproductive philosophy? In the early 20th century, a philosophical movement known as "logical positivism" attempted to specify criteria that could be used to demarcate meaningful language from non-meaningful language. These logical positivists, such as Rudolf Carnap and A.J. Ayer, claimed that only empirically verifiable statements are meaningful, and that any language not empirically verifiable is literally meaningless. In this 50th episode of Meta Treks, hosts Mike Morrison and Zachary Fruhling examine the claims of logical positivism through the lens of Star Trek. From the story-based use of language in the TNG episode "Darmok" to the many possible uses of the word "dilithium," Mike and Zachary offer a Star Trek based critique of logical positivism inspired by Ludwig Wittgenstein's account of the meaningfulness of language as its use in various context-dependent "language games." Throughout his youth, Noah Levine was incarcerated several times. His first book, Dharma Punx, details his teenage years filled with drugs, violence, and multiple suicide attempts—choices fulled by disillusionment with American mainstream culture. His substance abuse started early in life—at age six he began smoking marijuana—and finally ended in a padded cell in juvenile prison 11 years later. It was in this cell where he hit “an emotional rock bottom” and began his meditation practice “out of a place of extreme drug addiction and suffering.” While incarcerated, he saw for the first time how the mediation practice his father taught him gave him the tools to relieve the fear and uncertainty that pervaded his life. Noah lectures and teaches meditation classes, workshops and retreats internationally as well as leading groups in juvenile halls and prisons. He has helped to found several groups and projects including the Mind Body Awareness Project, a non-profit organization that serves incarcerated youths, and Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society. Noah holds a masters degree in counseling psychology from CIIS and has studied with many prominent teachers in both the Theravadan and Mahayanan Buddhist traditions. Learning to meet pain with compassion and not avoid it, is key to recovery. Pain is unavoidable, you can only drink it away for so long, at some point you have to deal with it. And the same goes with pleasure. That also is not permanent. If you are attached to impermanent feelings, how will you deal with that? This is where mindfulness and mediation comes in. The Problem of the External World. How can you know that the physical world you perceive around you is real and not an illusion, a dream, or a holodeck simulation? In this episode of Meta Treks, hosts Mike Morrison and Zachary Fruhling debate the philosophical problem of the external world through the lens of Star Trek. Mike and Zachary discuss whether it is possible for characters in Star Trek to know for sure that they are not stuck in a holodeck, in a telepathic projection, or in an illusion created by a member of the Q Continuum. Mike and Zachary consider several possible responses to the the problem of the external world from the history of philosophy, including Rene Descartes's response to his own radical Cartesian skepticism, Hilary Putnam's linguistic response to the "Brain in a Vat" argument, the pragmatic response of rejecting the problem outright, and George Berkeley's theory of idealism as a middle ground between skepticism and empirical knowledge of the external world. Finally, Mike and Zachary re-imagine these classic philosophical arguments in Star Trek terms, including what Descartes's Meditations might have been like if written by the soft glow of the holodeck grid instead of by candlelight, considering Q as the omnipotent "evil genius" in Descartes's "Cogito ergo sum" ("I think, therefore, I am") argument, and re-framing Berkeley's argument for idealism to rely on all-perceiving beings from Star Trek, such as the Q or the Bajoran prophets. On this show, we will contemplate whether or not there is a stark connection between what we see occurring in the outer world and what we may be experiencing internally. Tune in and turn on your expansion!
Does your internal world really create your external world? In this episode, Susanne and Franziska discuss whether your external world is really a reflection of your internal world. What do you think? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
Alan Richardson (UBC Vancouver) gives a talk at the MCMP workshop "Influences on the Aufbau" (1-3 July, 2013) titled "The Mathematical Core of the External World Problem: Carnap's Construction of the External World and Karl Gerhards's 'Der mathematische Kern der Aussenweltshypothese'". Abstract: Carnap, in his "Intellectual Autobiography," tells the story of reading in 1921 Bertrand Russell's book, Our Knowledge of the External World. In this anecdote he calls Russell "the strongest influence" on his "philosophical thinking in general" during the period of writing the Aufbau. But, while the meth- odological lessons of Russell loomed large in Carnap's mind, the actual techniques developed in the Auf- bau for constructing the external world differ considerably from Russell's own. Thus, noting Russell's influence does not take us very far in figuring out what the external world problem was for Carnap or what resources might be brought in to solve it. In this essay, I compare some of the constructive proce- dures of the Aufbau to procedures developed in Karl Gerhards's paper "Der mathematische Kern der Aussenweltshypothese" of 1922. Not only does Carnap refer to this paper in the crucial sections of the Aufbau where the construction of the external world is sketched, but this paper was precirculated and discussed at the 1923 Erlangen Conference at which Carnap and Reichenbach met and which Carnap subsequently called "the small but significant initial step in the movement of a scientific philosophy in Germany." Not only are some of Gerhards's constructive procedures and resources more closely related to Carnap's than are Russell's, but also Gerhards places his own work in a context created by the work of Helmholtz and Mach. The point of this endeavor is to enrich the resources we bring to bear in thinking about Carnap's philosophical project in the Aufbau.
We have entered into a 5th dimensional experience with unlimited potential and the ability to create beyond measure. We have begun to feel the effects of our transformation and continue to dig deeper into the inward evolution of our own expression of life. But what's next?
