This week on The Traumedy Show, we're recapping the absolute chaos and sweetness of our one-year anniversary party—including the moment Rachel was fatefully approached at the after-party by another survivor of The Wolf. They bonded, they trauma-bonded and it was a full-circle moment we did not see coming. We also recount our time at the Renaissance Faire, where Rachel lived her best and most ridiculous life as Lord Farquaad, and share a listener's petty-but-perfect revenge story involving a breakup, a shared Spotify account and a little harmless digital vengeance. Plus, Megan opens up about a difficult moment with Washington Boy—a vulnerable misunderstanding where she was telling the truth, but wasn't fully believed, and how that desperation to be understood brought up deeper emotional wounds and past triggers. Come for the drama, stay for the healing—and maybe laugh-cry through it all.
AfriForum's Private Prosecution Unit says it will pursue criminal charges against ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula, EFF Leader Julius Malema and Eastern Cape Education MEC, Fundile Gade for falsely accusing a school principal of raping a seven-year-old girl. The alleged assault occurred at a school in Matatiele, Eastern Cape, in October last year. Meanwhile Police Minister Senzo Mchunu has apologised to the principal for falsely identifying him as a suspect in the rape. Last month, police confirmed that no foreign DNA was found on the minor, clearing the principal of suspicion. To elaborate further on the criminal case, Elvis Presslin spoke to Afriforum's Private Prosecution Unit Spokesperson, Barry Bateman

It's a powerful encouragement for anyone feeling stuck or ready for more.____________________________________Connect with Jamie:Website: www.jamieklusacek.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/jamieklusacekConnect with Jane:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/janewwilliams____________________________________ Get Jamie's Newest Book:Living Loved: An 8-week Journey to Living Fully Loved
Heston Russell has lived a life most of us couldn’t imagine. A former special forces commander, he’s been shot at, dropped out of helicopters, and led troops through the chaos of Afghanistan and Iraq. But it wasn’t until he came home that he faced his toughest fight yet — not against an enemy overseas, but against his own country. Heston and his men were accused of war crimes, and suddenly, he was battling to defend their names against the weight of national headlines and public judgment. In this episode, we dive into Heston’s intense defamation case against the ABC, but we go deeper, too, into what it’s like to be a soldier at war and what you do when you’re wrongly accused of a crime you didn’t commit. You can listen to The ABC’s of Heston Russell podcast here. It is said that desperate times call for desperate measures, but sometimes, in the heat of the moment, those measures can be downright cruel. We've seen Job's so-called friends escalate their attacks, but today, Eliphaz stops pulling punches altogether. In fact, Eliphaz goes so far as to fabricate sins that Job never committed. Oppressing the poor? Withholding food and water from the needy? Sounds like a cheap shot from a man running out of theological arguments. But here's a deeper question: Why do we, like Eliphaz, rush to explain suffering with neat and tidy answers? Why do we prefer blaming the victim instead of sitting with the mystery of God's ways? The Rev. Dr. Curtis Deterding, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Myers, FL, joins the Rev. Dr. Phil Booe to study Job 22. Why do the righteous suffer? That's the burning question at the heart of the book of Job—one of the most profound and challenging books in all of Scripture. From a Lutheran perspective, Job's story isn't just about a man enduring unimaginable hardship; it's about wrestling with God's will, grappling with well-meaning but misguided advice, and ultimately finding comfort in God's grace rather than human understanding. As Job's friends offer simplistic answers, Job demands the truth, and God's response reminds us of His infinite wisdom and mercy. Through it all, we see glimpses of Christ—the truly innocent sufferer—who redeems our pain and points us to the cross, where suffering meets salvation. Join us as we journey through Job, confronting tough questions about faith, suffering, and God's mysterious ways with hope grounded in Christ alone. Thy Strong Word, hosted by Rev. Dr. Phil Booe, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church of Luverne, MN, reveals the light of our salvation in Christ through study of God's Word, breaking our darkness with His redeeming light. Each weekday, two pastors fix our eyes on Jesus by considering Holy Scripture, verse by verse, in order to be strengthened in the Word and be equipped to faithfully serve in our daily vocations. Hebrews 2:9-18 – Jesus, Our Faithful High PriestIn this episode of Divine Table Talk, Jamie and Jane explore Hebrews 2:1-9, where we receive a critical warning about the danger of drifting away from our faith. They discuss why it's essential to stay anchored in Christ, the role of angels in God's plan, and how Jesus humbled Himself to bring salvation to humanity. Tune in for deep biblical insights and practical ways to stay firmly rooted in God's truth.Verses For Today's Study:Hebrews 2:9-18: But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. He says “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.” And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.” Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants. For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.____________________________________Connect with Jamie:Website: www.jamieklusacek.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/jamieklusacekConnect with Jane:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/janewwilliams____________________________________ Get Jamie's Newest Book:Living Loved: An 8-week Journey to Living Fully Loved

Hebrews 2:1-9 – The Urgent Warning Against Drifting AwayIn this episode of Divine Table Talk, Jamie and Jane explore Hebrews 2:1-9, where we receive a critical warning about the danger of drifting away from our faith. They discuss why it's essential to stay anchored in Christ, the role of angels in God's plan, and how Jesus humbled Himself to bring salvation to humanity. Tune in for deep biblical insights and practical ways to stay firmly rooted in God's truth.Verses For Today's Study:Hebrews 2:1-9: We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honorand put everything under their feet.” In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone____________________________________Connect with Jamie:Website: www.jamieklusacek.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/jamieklusacekConnect with Jane:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/janewwilliams____________________________________ Get Jamie's Newest Book:Living Loved: An 8-week Journey to Living Fully Loved

Through rich discussion and practical insights, this episode invites you to deepen your understanding of Christ's unique role in God's redemptive plan. Don't miss this opportunity to grow in faith and see the majesty of Jesus anew.Verses For Today's Study:Hebrews 1:6: And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God's angels worship him.”Hebrews 1:9: You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”____________________________________Connect with Jamie:Website: www.jamieklusacek.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/jamieklusacekConnect with Jane:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/janewwilliams____________________________________ Get Jamie's Newest Book:Living Loved: An 8-week Journey to Living Fully Loved
Hebrews 1 Part One: The Supremacy of Christ RevealedJoin Jamie and Jane on Divine Table Talk as they kick off their year-long study of the book of Hebrews. In today's episode, they dive into Hebrews 1, exploring the profound truth of Christ's supremacy and His role as the ultimate revelation of God's glory. Together, they unpack the theological depth of these verses, offering practical insights to apply to your faith journey. Whether you're new to studying Hebrews or revisiting it, this episode will inspire you to see Jesus in a whole new light.Verses For Today's Study:Hebrews 1-5: In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father”? Or again, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son”?____________________________________Connect with Jamie:Website: www.jamieklusacek.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/jamieklusacekConnect with Jane:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/janewwilliams____________________________________ Get Jamie's Newest Book:Living Loved: An 8-week Journey to Living Fully Loved
