Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Brian's journey in creative and performing arts began at a young age. After discovering his passion for filmmaking at 13, he began to write stories and have an interest in movies and filmmaking. After he emigrated to Canada in 2002, he briefly attended post-secondary and worked on several mini-documentaries. In 2010, he jumped into videography and directing music videos as a way to teach himself the fundamentals. His first short film "Normal People" was completed in 2013. This film is absolutely incredible and a must see. Violent, upsetting, action-filled, tense, beautiful...the adjectives go on and on. Earning a clear double “buy,” there wasn't enough time to express how great I Saw The Devil is, but Tim and Ryan packed as much as possible into this episode. On this solo episode Phillip starts it out by talking about things that scared him as a kid. Then he talks about whether both of The Things are considered horror or sci-fi. He then tells everyone what he has seen in the theater and at home; 68 Kill (2017), The Shining in 4K (1980), House of 1000 Corpses (2003), I Saw The Devil (2010), Rambo: Last Blood (2019), Men in Black: International (2019), Child's Play (2019), The Thing From Another World (1951), Pit Stop (1969), Joker (2019), The Thing (1982), and I Walked With A Zombie (1943). Then he gets into the topic at hand the 1951 sci-fi/horror classic The Thing From Another World and the 1982 contemporary classic John Carpenter's The Thing. It's a bunch of love and a little trivia.
