This week, we launched our new sermon series "Kingdom Sexuality." In this series, we will explore what the Bible says about sexuality and discuss important topics such as homosexuality, gender, lust, singleness, and sex in marriage. Part 1, "It All Starts with Jesus," presents us with two critical questions: 1) Is it possible that my understanding of sexuality does not align with the heart and commands of Jesus? 2) If so, am I willing to lay aside my views and pursue what He desires for my life?
Sermon # 3 in the series entitled, "It All Starts with the Bible."

Work hard, love others, press repeat! A mantra I think most of us can get behind. My guest James Schleicher, author of “It All Starts with A Plan,” is a consummate leader working tirelessly in all domains to help, support and encourage others to be the best version of themselves. But James' story is one of leadership by accident. While he has achieved significant professional and personal success, his unconventional journey taught him, and hopefully teaches all of us, some valuable lessons. Enjoy this episode to find out how to turn disadvantages into advantages, and failures into success! #perseverance #storytelling #leadershipmatters
There's no perfect recipe for turning around an organization, but there is an ingredient that needs to be in place, said Dennis Sutterfield, CIO at SUNY Downstate. “Without question, you have to be incredibly transparent. I want my team to know everything I know.” Recently, he spoke about the power of storytelling, the importance of “strategic investments,” and the unique challenges of urban healthcare. Today we had the pleasure of speaking with Kathryn Bregman, owner/founder of Badass Infertility. Kathryn is a fertility mindset coach, she shares her personal story of infertility to fertility. She shares invaluable insight into navigating this challenging process. She now helps others become empowered and confident in their fertility journey. Follow us @pelvicorerehab and share any questions you have on pelvic health or share your experience overcoming pelvic health related issues. Infertility Facts: Stats: 1 in 8 or 12%- 15% of couples struggle with infertility About 7 million American women IVF Success Rates: depend on many factors, such as age and the reasons for infertility. Overall, first-time IVF success rates often fall between 25-30% for most intended parents. However, this probability tends to increase after multiple IVF cycles. Types of infertility: Primary infertility is when a pregnancy has never been achieved by a person. Secondary infertility is when at least one prior pregnancy has been achieved. Mechanical Infertility - Scarring from surgery. Pelvic surgery can damage and scar the fallopian tubes, which link the ovaries to the womb. … Some other causes of infertility? Hypothalamic amenorrhea -Women can experience hypothalamic amenorrhea when poor nutrition or stress interferes with the brain's regulation of the menstrual cycle. Fibroids PCOS Endometriosis. ... Pelvic inflammatory disease. ... Medicines and drugs/ toxins Premature Ovarian Insufficiency Women with POI do not ovulate (release an egg) every month. This makes it difficult to get pregnant. But studies have shown that a small percentage of women (5-10%) with idiopathic premature ovarian failure (where the cause is unknown) do sometimes ovulate and become pregnant. Factors that commonly affect Fertility: Stress (Emotional Trauma) -Inflammation- scar tissue Stored emotional stress - our bodies respond to stress with muscle tension Books: It All Starts with the Egg by: Rebecca Fett Wild Feminine by: Tami Kent Fertility Mindset Coaching: Your journey should start here. Having the right mindset will help you navigate the journey and help you make the right decisions and feel good about them Everyone needs different things throughout their journey Mindset can help open your mind to take on changes that you may not have been open to before such as dietary changes. Positive Support is so important, be mindful to avoid catastrophizing chat rooms. A mindset coach, pelvic floor physical therapist , acupuncturist are all potential resources for building a fertility journey village Exercise is important during the process What role did seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist play in your fertility experience? 1. Pelvic health was one of the most important things for me to look at when I was trying to conceive, and, unfortunately, it took me a long time to realize it because it wasn't on my doctors' typical list of things to investigate. So, my expertise comes from a few areas, one of them is personal experience. I know the power of working on pelvic health because, aside from mindset, working with you was THE lynchpin in my pregnancy. 2. Pelvic health matters for fertility for two main reasons, one is physical. For example, women who have endometriosis, like I did, or weak pelvic floors or tight pelvic floors, (of which I had both) can see their fertility negatively impacted. 3. My area of expertise is less on the physical side, though, and more on the emotional side. Emotional blocks can surface in the body, and for many women who are struggling to conceive releasing those blocks in both a physical and emotional/spiritual way is critical. While I am not a therapist, I do help women come to realize what is or may be in their way and they become inspired to seek specialists who can help them get to the root cause and become the moms they are meant to be, but before they are in the right mindset, they tend to be stuck, frozen or just confused and hopeless about moving forward. Takeaways for listeners? 1. If you are struggling to conceive, what is blocking you may not be just physical. Working to reset your mindset can create a clear path for you to make decisions, navigate the myriad competing recommendations, deal with the emotional ups and downs of the fertility journey and actually live it from a place of empowerment and joy. 2. When you get in the right mindset of truly believing you are meant to be a mom, the universe responds and miracles do occur. 3. If you like science, know that women who work with other women on the emotional side of the fertility journey are 65% more likely to become pregnant. That number includes women in support groups and those who seek ongoing support from other women who get it. One of the most common questions I hear is "How to I reduce my carbon footprint?" In the first two episodes of this three part series I covered how we travel and how we live. In this episode I am going to focus on what we eat. Our agriculture systems have truly put us in a predicament. It has long been known that this is the source of our greatest ecological impact. Yet we must continue to produce food to feed a growing world population. But, believe it or not, it is actually our agricultural systems that are at the heart of the solution of the issue of sustainability both economically and socially. If you want to learn the solution to this dilemma, then listen to this episode It All Starts at Home/ How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint Part III.Always remember to live sustainably because this is how we build a better future.Patrick

One of the most common questions I hear regarding sustainability is “How can I reduce my carbon footprint?” The answer to that question is not the same for everyone. For example, a sherpa in Nepal that spends his time taking people up Mount Everest has a completely different carbon footprint compared to your average urbanite in the United States. That said, there are three different areas of our Iives where we produce our greatest ecological impact: how we travel, how we live, and what we eat. E66 I covered the topic of how we travel. In this episode, I am going to discuss how we live. If you want the whole story then stick around for It All Starts at Home/Reducing Your Carbon Footprint Part II.Always remember to live sustainably because this is how we build a better future. Patrick
As the result of my association with several groups and forums focused on sustainability I have begun to see trends in the types of questions that people ask. One of the most common questions that comes up is “How do I reduce my carbon footprint?” Maybe I've spent way too much time over the last 3 years examining and dissecting my own life because I've gotten to the point to where I think the answer to that question is obvious. But perhaps that is not the case after all. As individuals, there are three big areas where we produce our greatest environmental impact. In this three part series called It All Starts at Home I am going to cover each of those areas. So stay tuned if you want to listen to Part I of It All Starts at Home. Always remember to live sustainably because this is how we build a better future. Patrick
Today's episode is all about Valentine's Day. The 14th of February is not solely for couples only. Even if you're single, you deserve to have fun and be happy on that day. Tune in as Maria Romano discusses tips on how to spend Valentine's Day even if you're single. Standout Quotes: “Ask the universe, or God or whoever, to bring you the right person into your life at the right time. “[Maria Romano] “You're just one relationship away from your life changing for forever.” [Maria Romano] “Comparison is the thief of joy, so don't compare yourself with anyone else” [Maria Romano] “And just remember, if you're looking for that person, remember this, you need to make sure that you are out there meeting people.” [Maria Romano] Key Takeaways: You should change your mindset. Send out a message to the universe and ask them for the love of your life, the right person, during the right time. Keep working on yourself. You shouldn't compare yourself with others. Each of you have their own lives and we should be happy with what they have instead of comparing. Don't feel sorry for yourself if you're single on Valentine's. There are a lot of things to do than hanging out with your significant other. All health starts in your mouth because it's the gateway to your entire body. How can you guard it better? In this episode of the Align Podcast, Biological Dentist Dr. Dominik Nischwitz delves into the profound connection of oral health to our overall health and well-being. With scientific studies proving the origins of chronic diseases in the mouth, Dr. Dome challenges the claims of conventional dentistry that the teeth are separate from the body and explains why the traditional "drill, fill, and bill" dental practice can make things worse. For him, today's world requires a new approach to oral healthcare that fuses advanced technology and natural medicine. If you want to know what causes tooth decay and how to avoid it, how your mouth is connected to the rest of your body, why root canals and amalgam fillings are deadly, and when you should see a biological dentist, this episode is for you! We hope this episode allows you to have a better understanding of what the Bible calls, "just weights and measures" - outlining for us what investing looks like for people pursuing a life of stewardship and integrity. The following is an outline on the topic of money and currency that Mike leads us through as we take a deeper look at the foundational principles of Biblical investing. PART 1:I. It All Starts with Trust in God A. Parable of the Talents (Matt. 25) B. Genesis 1:28 - "be fruitful and multiply" C. George Gilder (Author - "The Scandal of Money"): "Money is the central information utility of the world economy" 1. Money is the critical vessel of information about the conditions of markets around the globe. II. Money from a Biblical Perspective A. Money is Seed 1. Seed is a by-product of production, being "fruitful." 2. As seed, money is meant to be planted/invested (Prov. 11:24; Ecc. 11:6; 2 Cor. 9:6-11). 3. Money is not meant to be hoarded or stock-piled. B. "Just weights & measures" (Deut. 25:13-16) 1. Because money is vital to communicating information in markets it is critical for it to be "honest" or reliable (e.g. ruler). This is why God emphasized "honest weights & measures." III. Money from a Worldly Perspective A. 1971 - The Dollar is Taken off the Gold Standard 2. Unfortunately money became dishonest, or unreliable in communicating information about markets since 1971, when the dollar was removed from the gold standard. We don't have money any more, we have fiat currency. B. A Distorted Signal 3. This fiat currency has made it much more difficult to discern "the signal from the noise." Instead the herd simply follows the next inflated asset and very little is learned as the entrepreneurial process was abandoned, by and large. 4. So, how do we invest our currency (not money) in a God honoring way? The bible has the answers! Megan is a cheerleader to all and can be found saying "You are beautiful, You are worth it, you deserve an amazing life, and I love you" when people need a boost. The light within her sees the light in everyone she meets. This was an incredible episode as we dove into how pain is our biggest motivator and how being a victim does not serve us or create any change in our lives. In this episode we talk about: 1. Pain can be our biggest motivator if we choose to learn from it and let it guide us to how we choose to live. We don't have to live in pain, staying there is a choice. 2. Living in a victim state or victim mentality doesn't serve us and it never helps us to create change in our lives. 3. All change in our lives starts with taking full ownership and radical responsibility of our choices. 4. The power of the tools to stay on track daily, such as prayer, meditation, journaling and gratitude. 5. Find your tribe who will help you to succeed to be the best version of yourself. If you don't have them now, look for them and create that tribe. We all need that support and we aren't meant to do it alone. 6. Let go of the resentment, the anger, the what if's, the comparison and judgements. None of it serves your higher self and it all holds the energy to keep us stuck. 7. We have to ask for what we need. When we need help to work through a problem, a challenge or a situation, there are times when we must surrender and ask for help. Power Quotes From The Show ]"A break up is a heart issue that has to heal on its own terms. Breakups can feel devastating. Part of healing the heart on its terms is to honor its feelings, give it space, and release its emotions." - @cristabeck on @wellnessforce Radio episode 244 wellnessforce.com/244 "When a woman is centered and powerful in herself, she can deeply contribute to a man from her own love radar. This is her place of wisdom and intuition. Not only will a woman's love radar enrich a man's life but it will also allow them to come closer to a woman so that she feels safe and adored." - Crista Beck "#MeToo is really a chance for women to express the pain that they've been repressing for years of being mistreated by men. It's a beautiful thing that women are sharing their stories and uniting in this mission to not be mistreated anymore. It's an important part of the process to be able to express your pain or anger because it's part of the healing process." - Crista Beck "I understand that people want connection but you cannot base your decision of who you want to be with solely on whether or not you feel a spark on the first date. Choosing your life partner is the most powerful decision that you will make in your life. We as a society are not trained on how to do that and so there's a lot of confusion on how to choose someone. Choosing someone just based on physical chemistry is a recipe for disaster. Yes, you want to be attracted to them but you want to be grounded and consider the actual characteristics that you know you need and want in a long-term partner." - Crista Beck "Our society encourages people to just get back out there and start dating again after a breakup. People don't realize that this is a heart issue on its terms. You need to honor your heart just like you would treat your body and mind after an accident. Breakups can feel devastating as if you broke all the bones in your body. Part of healing the heart on its terms is to honor its feelings, give it space, and release those emotions." - Crista Beck Links From Today's Show Crista Beck Facebook Instagram Twitter YouTube Google+ LinkedIn Call with Crista - Your Laser "Find Love" Discovery Session Your Dating Compass™ — What It Is And Why You Need One Beware the Fairytale: "He's Not My Type" "2 Ways To Stop Sabotaging Your Love Life For Good” Katherine Woodward Thomas Gigi Sage Power Connections for Women by Gigi Sage Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill Rhythmia Spiritual Retreat Center: Yoga & Meditation WFR 157 Amy Baglan WFR 204 Robyn Openshaw WFR 208 Maddy Moon About Crista Beck Crista Beck, The Love Radar, is a dating expert who teaches single people who are seeking a healthy and long-term relationship how to attract quality dating partners, increase their confidence, and take the actions necessary to have the love they deeply desire. S&P: 10 day HVOL - 22, 30 day HVOL - 13, Skew Index - 126.4, at the low end of the chart for the past three months. VVIX: High - 141.22, Low - 109.4, nearly doubled over the past two weeks. VIX Options: Total 4.29m (2.97m Calls, 1.32m Puts), only one day over 1M contracts this week despite significant market movement. VXST: High - 25.47, Low - 14.06, another week of anemic volume. RVX: 227 contracts OI, still no appreciable volume. Oil: Another crazy week for oil - a pronounced selloff followed by a dramatic rally that triggered circuit breakers on ice. 2-3 month vol hovering between 38-50, depending on the product. Putin tell the world to "get ready of $40 oil". Oil slump blindsided bulls that wagered on rout ending. Volatility Voicemail: Listener questions and comments Question from Vic Taylor - What is the problem with OVX? USO trades a ton of options, yet OVX averages 100 contracts on a good day. I am looking for a good way to add some oil volatility to my portfolio. Since OVX is DOA, are there other dedicated oil volatility products out there that actually trade? Maybe something listed on the WTI or Brent contracts? Cool show. Love all the commodity focus you have added in recent months. Question from Jim Andrade - I know you have mentioned bullish risk reversals in CL as potential ways to play a bullish bet in crude. I have been a little slow pulling the trigger. Is the environment still favorable for this type of trade in CL? I'd consider Brent as well if that is more suitable. In case you cannot tell, I am a bit of an oil bull, but I've been waiting for the worm to turn. I think we may have finally hit that point. What about an iron fly, where I buy ATM sell 5% OTM? Would that be preferable from a volatility skew perspective? Maybe I should throw in a time value of money question also. I like it when Jared gets worked up over futures term structure and roll yield. Comment from Mark Brant - The sum of new Friday weekly SPY and VXX ATM calls is lower than each's range, so bought both calls! 52-wk. +ev?
