Hiçbir Şey Tesadüf Değil'in bu bölümünde, Lewis Caroll'un deneyiminin peşine düşüyoruz. Beyaz Tavşan'ın peşinden gidiyor ve beynimizin bize oynadığı gizemli bir oyunu çözmeye çalışıyoruz.------- Podbee Sunar -------Bu bölüm Garanti BBVA BonusFlaş hakkında reklam içerir.Ramazan alışverişlerine 1.200 TL bonus!Ramazan'da Bonus üye işyerinde yapacağınız 2000 TL ve üzeri market alışverişlerinize toplam 1.200 TL bonus!Ramazan avantajlarını kaçırmamak için BonusFlaş'ı şimdi indirin.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

"When I read my Bible, I feel a bit like Alice in Wonderland, opening doors and going down rabbit holes, often finding more questions than answers. The more I learn, the more I wonder. The more I wonder, the more I learn. A life walking with Christ is comforting yet often confounding. The more we embrace a posture of Christian curiosity, the more our worlds get, as Lewis Caroll put it, curiouser and curiouser. You are allowed to change your mind. You don't have to draw lines in the sand and dig in your heels."Leave a comment for Kayla: https://incourage.me/?p=240753--Stay organized and inspired this school year with an (in)courage Agenda Planner & 100 Days of Strength in Any Struggle bundle! Episode 52. We all know the story, a lot of us grew up with it: Alice and her fun little trip to Wonderland. But, if like us, you've never actually read the story, this one's for you! Tag along as we go down the rabbit hole and try to wrap our head around Lewis Caroll's novel that was first published in 1865. We chat about Alice's unsettling trip and the characters she meets on the way, tackle the novel's problematic background and the age old question: "Can we separate artists and their work?", and try to find some sense in the nonsensical. That's right - it gets trippy. As always, we love to hear from you. Follow us @throughthepagespod on Instagram and TikTok & check out our Patreon to discover our additional bookish content!

Why is a raven like a writing desk? Lewis Caroll never intended the riddle to be answered. Alice in Wonderland is wonderful nonsense brought to the silver screen by Walt Disney in 1951 in a beautifully animated classic that we all still associate with the story. Tim Burton brings his own visual flair in his 2010 version that serves as both a remake and sequel to the original film and novel.

May is Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in the United States, and Sean and Mason are kicking it off with a conversation about San Francisco's Chinatown. It's an ugly history, but there's no shortage of lessons along the way. The California Society video about Arnold Genthe. *This episode has been corrected, because Mason got some names mixed up! Lewis Caroll was the author who photographed children, not CS Lewis. Meanwhile, Edward S. Curtis photographed American Indians, not TV personality Edward Sullivan.

Once upon a time in the England, a novel was written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. It told the story of a young girl named Alice falling through a rabbit hole into a subterranean fantasy world populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. Nobody ever imagined that one day it would become such a popular story known only as Alice in Wonderland. But how did Alice in Wonderland become such a popular story? Why did it become a popular story? Is it true that Alice was based on a real girl? Was the real Alice, daughter of the Lewis Caroll's boss? Did the title of the story almost become “Alice in Elf Land”? Did Caroll really see things the way Alice did? Was Queen Victoria really a big fan of Alice in Wonderland? It's time for me to answer all these questions and more since this is ASMR Aaron back at it again... The term “mad hatter” was NEVER in the book Alice in Wonderland, so QUESTION: Why was there an “odd” hat maker in this famous book and the phrase still known today “mad as a hatter”? Because there was a phenomenon at the time that was really startling. Lewis Caroll (a pen name), author of Alice in Wonderland, did NOT invent the mad hatter concept. There was a real pandemic for hat makers in multiple areas of the globe that started decades before this book was published, that most modern people have never heard of. It was a mystery for decades on what was happening that was finally solved and laws came into place to protect. After research I was shocked by myself, I am now revealing: For decades, NO ONE knew why hat makers experienced mental health and nervous system breakdowns, while shoemakers and other tradesmen did not Traits Alice in Wonderland’s hatter you never knew about + who he’s actually based on What horrifying phenomenon happened to the city in America dubbed “the hat capital in the world” Finally, humans discovering WHAT was causing the problems for hat makers (+ the depth of the symptoms) What law in 1941 finally halted this hatmaker condition The shocking way a hat maker was directly linked to Lincoln’s assassination (NOT in how you think) Why I’m sharing this historical phenomenon specifically NOW during COVID 19 and the hope it can bring us I would be so honored for 2 minutes *if this resonated* if you’d PLEASE: Share the episode and your feelings on it via Instagram *tag @allisonevelyn_* Post a review here so we can keep bringing more real, screw the fake fluff content For more about the podcast + episodes: BrandwithBite.com

See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

I’ve gotten to know today’s guest, Drew Canole, super well over this past year, and wow, has it been life-changing. A fellow Midwesterner, he was born and raised in Michigan but went after other opportunities and more growth in Florida. While he did find success in the real estate/mortgage arena, the weight piled on and so did his unhappiness once he realized he was escaping his emotions and certainly not living in his highest purpose. Shortly after, Drew had an eye-opening dream where he died and only five or six people showed up to his funeral. It was then that he made the decision to make a radical shift and do something that changed people’s lives. He wanted to inspire people in big way – and leave a legacy that’s remembered for decades to come. To promote this change, Drew moved to California to surround himself with new people and a new awareness. He documented his weight loss journey in an attempt to help and influence other people in both health and mindset. Fast forward to today and Drew still documents his journey and helps millions of followers on FitLife TV on YouTube, and through Organifi, the supplemental company he founded just three years ago. Drew is one of the most giving people I know – in all areas of life. He’s made it his mission to help as many people as he can while also spreading massive amounts of joy, abundance and love. With a mission like this, Drew is making such an impact and has inspired me yet again to do more and I hope his message pushes you to do the same. -- Question Highlights: What’s one of your superpowers? Who is someone who has changed your life? What is one of your biggest accomplishments? How did you go from Midwest, born and raised, to California living and thriving in just a few years? What’s the key to building such large followings and a large company? How did you develop a unique wide range in life? How do you reconcile liking nice things and feeling spiritual at the same time? How did you feel about money growing up? How do you feel about money now? What do you think holds people back from accomplishing the success or wealth they really want? What do you say to those people who are too scared or holding themselves back from participating in the “woo-woo” stuff? In This Episode We Talk about: Drew’s journey from Michigan to Florida to California Giving up who you are now to become something greater How Drew came to help others with health and mindset Why you should track your joy – day in and day out Drew’s four-step process to get more done in 30 days Why we Drew chases impact, not money Paying attention to limiting beliefs and stories And so much more… Drew’s Thoughts… “Are you willing to give up who you are now to become something greater?” “It doesn’t really matter what you do if you’re surrounded by people you love.” “If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.” – Lewis Caroll “Just start – silence the mind.” “If I can impact people, the money will come.” “The more money you acquire, the more ability you have to help people and inspire change.” -- Drew Canole is a rockstar in the world of fitness, nutrition and mindset, with a huge heart for others and doing his part to transform the world, one person at a time. Drew is the founder and CEO of FitLife.TV, an online health and wellness media channel where he shares educational, inspirational and entertaining videos and articles about health, fitness and healing and longevity. He is also the founder of Organifi, an organic line of superfood products that was created to make healthy living easy and accessible on the go.

Actor Liam Neeson starts the new year with two new films. In Martin Scorsese's Silence he plays a Jesuit priest who relinquishes his faith and in A Monster Calls, the treelike monster. He talks to Samira Ahmed about both, as well as being a late blooming action hero and watching the Reverend Ian Paisley preach. How do you write about mass murder, holocausts, war crimes and how ordinary people reach a point when they kill their neighbours, and torture their former friends?
