Vivono da anni in una città mai nominata esplicitamente, arrivano da due paesi diversi e parlano la lingua del paese dove hanno studiato e scelto di vivere. Sono sempre sospesi fra il desiderio di appartenere a quella città d'adozione e il senso di colpa per aver abbandonato le proprie origini. La paura di apparire estranei alle proprie famiglie, ma anche stranieri nella città. In questo romanzo dalle atmosfere rarefatte e dalla scrittura asciutta, si narra dunque la vita di Asya e Manu, che dopo l'entusiasmo per il nuovo ambiente cercano un po' di stabilità e decidono di comprare casa, in un tentativo forse di affermare un'appartenenza a quella città che loro vogliono sentire a tutti i costi familiare.Una quasi quarantenne che vende video-hard su OnlyFans, un diciassettenne costretto sulla sedia a rotelle da una malattia degenerativa, il mistero di una coppia travolta da una valanga nel 1980 (lei è morta ed è stata trovata nuda sotto la neve, lui invece è miracolosamente sopravvissuto). Una serie di riflessioni sull'esistenza di Dio, sul suicidio, ma anche sui social network. Tutti questi, e non solo, sono gli ingredienti di "L'era dell'Acquario" (Adelphi) scritto da Fabio Bacà, autore di "Benevolenza cosmica" e "Nova". Un romanzo denso e articolato, con una scrittura, come sempre accade nel caso di Bacà, ritmata e vorticosa, con uno sguardo spesso ironico, se non sarcastico, e personaggi pieni di sfaccettature. Tutta la prima parte è su Chloe, pseudonimo che una donna adotta su OnlyFans: fa la sex influencer, ma crede che presto dovrà interrompere questa attività. Per fare cosa? Non ne ha assolutamente idea. Lei è sempre in fuga da sè stessa e dal suo passato traumatico, con il quale non vuole fare i conti. Poi il lettore si trova a seguire le vicende di Samuel, un adolescente con disabilità che ha pensieri suicidi per un amore non ricambiato. I due sono destinati a incontrarsi e solo alla fine del romanzo si coglierà il senso del prologo, ossia il ritrovamento della coppia sotto la valanga.

That price fits the role. He played well last season. Amik moved on and got paid by Washington. Slot grit: Christian Isian's fit Detroit moved to fill the slot with Christian Isian from Tampa Bay. He is undersized at around 5-foot-9 but scrappy. He tackles. He defends the run. Coverage results have been mixed. Tampa Bay let him go and replaced him with last year's third-round pick. Isian offers positional flexibility, but the slot is his best home. The Lions learned with Amik that fit matters. Keep him where he wins. Expect a feisty presence inside and a tone-setter on run downs. Tackle depth and draft signals Larry Borom arrives on a one-year, $5 million deal. He has NFL starts at tackle and guard. He will compete with Giovanni Manu to be the number three tackle. The current mix with Penei Sewell, Borom, Manu, and maybe Myles Frasier does not feel final. Depth remains a need. The draft hints are clear. Edge rusher stands out as the top priority. Edge number two probably is not on this roster yet. Tackle also profiles as an early target. The sequencing could be edge in the first round and tackle in the second. Free agency has set that board. CB room churn and a miss in the market The cornerback room turned over again. Rock is back at CB3. Amik is out after landing a bigger deal elsewhere. The slot flips to Isian. One notable miss hit the market ticker. Muhammad signed with the Buccaneers. That stings for a team still searching for pass-rush help. The best remaining free agent edge option is a looming question. For now, Detroit's free agency added a center, a slot fighter, and versatile line depth.
